So we stayed for dinner. The restaurant decor was updated since we last were there. Nicely done, it was a bit dingy before. One of the reasons it took 3+ years to go back. My husband had the shrimp and lobster Alfredo. It was good loaded with seafood but a little stingy on the Alfredo. I had the fall off the bone ribs. The ribs were disappointing. Too much salt in the meat. I think my blood pressure went up. And although we were warned in the menu description, sweet baby rays barbecue sauce? I make my own sauce when I make ribs. This is our second visit to Anna Maria and we decided to return to The Feast because my daughter remembered how much she enjoyed the salad there (the Anna Maria salad). We also saw good reviews of their pizza. The salad did not disappoint, grouper bites were good and French fries were good...but the pizza not so much. I seriously have never had a pizza with a crust so thin it was like a piece of soggy paper. Forget about trying to pick it up. "Child style" with a fork and knife was the only way. Crust around the edge was normal but biting into the middle felt like you were eating all cheese and toppings with no bottom crust. Pepperoni was not crispy as well which is a travesty. My husband and I have a home in Sarasota but we wanted a little staycation so we stayed the night in Anna Maria. I read the reviews on The Feast and most were very positive but someone wrote a pretty scathing review (some silly troll!). I loved the owner's response so I had to come and check it out. I was NOT disappointed- from our amazing and darling server Melinda, to the firecracker shrimp to the best pizza I've had in a long time (and I'm from Chicago) - and a delicious hogfish entree- I was impressed. Definitely worth checking out! One note thing to note - it is wine and beer only - no cocktails. They have a lot of craft beers available and their wine list is pretty extensive and extremely affordable so enjoy! read more

The food was good, however we ordered 3 chicken parms and the meat in one of them was definitely NOT chicken. Our waitress, who was great, sent over the manager when we questioned if it was possibly veal instead of chicken. He came over and went on about how the chicken was prepared, possibly pounded to make it thinner... blah blah blah. Like we'd never made our own chicken dishes before. We asked the waitress to just please take that one dish off our bill. No biggie, right? The manager came back over and proceeded to tell us we should've mentioned that we'd like the item removed from our bill when he first came over and my husband said, " So we're paying for the entire bill, then?" we eat her almost every year, there's some thing for everybody on the menu. They've done some sprucing up to make the ambience a little nicer but you are in a strip center. It honestly pains me to give them three stars, I really wanted to love this restaurant. But we dined there twice during our stay on AMI and I felt like I was at two different restaurants. We stumbled on Feast our first night and stopped by to find an​ hour wait. We let a number and wandered to the beach and to get a drink nearby, and were notified our table was ready in just under an hour. We were seated in a table in the front room next to the booths. Our server (a young woman from Italy) got our drinks and made sure we saw​ the specials. She was very attentive​ and checked back frequently throughout dinner. Four of us shared the sampler of Conch Fritters, Coconut Shrimp and Crispy Shrimp Wraps ($13.00) the conch fritters were crispy and light with plenty of conch, the coconut shrimp were slightly sweet and crunchy and the crispy​ wrapped shrimp was very good as well. ​There was just enough for four of us to share. My husband, who never orders pizza, ordered the 14" White Pizza ($16.50) it was full of Garlic, olive oil, ricotta cheese, feta cheese, and mozzarella. Delicious, he raved about it and shared a piece with me, the pizza junky, and it was really well done. I had the American Red Snapper Captiva ($24.00) it was a nice portion of snapper topped with lump crab, gulf shrimp, ​and garlic cream. I chose ​bamboo rice and​ snow peas as my sides. The fish was firm and sweet, with a nice amount of crab and a few seared shrimp and a creamy garlic sauce. The snow peas were well seasoned and the bamboo rice was flavorful with an interesting sticky texture. We really enjoyed our dinner and knew we'd be back. We made a reservation for two of us later in the week and were seated right away. Our server took a while to get to the table, was polite but seemed distracted​ and was not nearly as attentive as the server the previous night. We ordered the Cracklin' Calamari ($13.00). It was a good portion of crispy fried rings and tentacles​, the rings were prefect while the tentacles were a bit overcooked​. The sweet Thai chili sauce went well with the calamari. My husband ordered the Market 13 Crab Cakes ($23.00) pan-seared​d​ crab cakes with lobster cream. There were two good-sized​d​ crab cakes, pan-seared but a little overly browned, any lumps of crabmeat were completely​y mashed up and there was way more filler than expected. The lobster cream came in a small creamer on the side and looked like lobster bisque without the cream. The fries were warm but not really hot and the slaw was ok. I ordered the Hogfish Provencal special ($24.00) it was a nice filet of hogfish, pan-seared​ with two big shrimp and one scallop, both cooked nicely. It was finished with a butter sauce but none of the diced tomato or basil "scampi" as listed on the special. it was flat and lacked​ seasoning especially garlic. I ordered their​ rice which was a blend of brown, and wild rice with a bit of quinoa, dried fruit, ​and nuts. It was very pretty with a lot of texture but again lacked seasoning. I also had the "honey glazed carrots" which were boiled baby carrots with no glaze, no seasoning, not even butter. they tasted a bit like they had been boiled in a yellow curry powder but it was really faint. It was just a bit disappointing​ after our first visit, it honestly felt like the chef was off and the second in command was running the line. read more

My husband I were excited to try this place but were left underwhelmed. The waitress was inexperienced and unfamiliar with the menu and therefore was unable to help us when ordering. We had several questions since it was our first time at the restaurant and she couldn't really answer them. My husband ordered the lobster bisque to start and it was really good so he was excited for the main course which was their signature hogfish dish. He said that he thinks they just poured lobster bisque on top of the fish which did not give enough flavor. He did not finish his meal which is a rarity for him. I had the shrimp and lobster Lafayette. I asked the waitress if I could get it without the peppers and mushrooms. She said it would not be a problem and then made a big deal when she brought my dish to me saying that it was made specially for me. To my surprise, it still had all of the ingredients that I asked to be omitted. With that being said, I picked around them and my dish was actually quite flavorful with a substantial amount of both lobster and shrimp. My husband and I both agreed that this was not our favorite meal by a long shot for our weeks vacation and we probably would not eat here again as we were left underwhelmed and the wait staff needs some help. read more

Frustrating.we've been here many times in the last 5 years but we have friends with us this time and they can never seat 12 people, even when we call first thing in the morning. So right now it's Monday, we have a slot for Thursday. I get and understand people shortages, but you're just giving business away. Hidden gem among a strip mall. I would label Feast as an Italian seafood restaurant. If you're here for a week, definitely put this place on your list. I've heard their pizzas are really really good. We opted for more of the Italian seafood part of the menu though. There are different specials and sides every day. Today one of the specials was a pasta with a lobster cream sauce that had grouper, shrimp, and lobster in it. OMG. I could drink the lobster cream sauce, it was that good. I also had to get help from the rest of the table to finish it-the portion was huge! My husband got Jamaican style shrimp with a side of onion rings and slaw. He said it had a nice kick to it with good flavor. It came with about 8-10 shrimp. My friend ordered the caprese salad as her dinner & she said it's the best one she's ever had. Great service and good food every time I've dined at the feast. As Anna Maria locals, this is always a go to for lunch or dinner and we bring many friends here. The Feast offers a great beer and wine selection. For appetizers, you can't go wrong with the coconut shrimp, mozzarella wedges or grouper bites. The salads are fresh and all dressings are made in house daily which I love! The sundried tomato and basil balsamic vinaigrette are like no other. The blackened fish here is always cooked perfectly. You can never go wrong with fresh seafood caught locally on the island. Last but not least, the pizzas are great to dine in with or grab to go for dinner on the beach! I would suggest making reservations on Open Table before dining because it does get busy here especially during busy season on the Island. read more

If you want pizza on the island, this is a must try spot. We had their 16 inch pepperoni and pineapple tonight--delicious flavor combinations between the crust, seasoning, cheese and toppings. Also tried the GF marghetia pizza and it was done really well. The small salads with protein are very generous portions (Enough for an adult entree). The picnic tables outside proved to be a way to beat the waits at most other restaurants. read more

We got to Anna Maria island late on Monday 7/24. It was our first time. The kids were hungry and we were given a recommendation to get pizza from The Feast. It was 20 minutes from closing time but was told by the guy who answered the phone that they take orders up until 9:00. We were happy to hear that. I ordered 2 pizzas. 1 Cheese and 1 sausage, mushroom and onion. After we got home from picking it up I noticed that they messed up our pizza order. Instead of sausage they gave us pepperoni. I was disappointed at first but ended up being ok with it. It wasn't bad, actually reminded me of Costco pizza. After being out all day on 7/28 I didn't want to make dinner so we tried The Feast again. This time we ordered a pepperoni pizza for the kids and sausage, mushroom, and onion for the adults. This time they messed up the kids order and they just gave us a cheese pizza and our adult pizza did have sausage on it this time. However, the sausage amount was overkill and not distributed evenly at all. There were piles of fine ground sausage that were literally falling off the pizza when you picked it up. It wasn't even a good tasting sausage. I did go over my order the second time I ordered and stressed what I wanted and I even had the guy repeat the order to me and he said it back correctly but still messed it up. So disappointing. If you order from there you'll need to open up the box in front of them to check if you're getting what you really ordered. read more

We have made this spot one of our AMI favorites. Everything we've had here has been solid. Their seafood is fresh and they have regular specials with locally caught fish. We've had the coconut shrimp and the Thai shrimp as appetizers. The appetizer we love the most is the cheese wedges (fried mozzarella) with fresh marinara. I'll preface the next part with - my buddies from up North don't like my taste in pizza, but the pizza here is amazing. It's not something that jumps out at you at this spot, but it is fresh and amazing - just basic pepperoni is fantastic. The best thing to do is order a pizza (take home what you don't eat) and try some of the fish specials if you have several people with you. As a heads up, the dining space is small and when the island is busy they will ask you if you have reservation. We came back and tried the pot sticker appetizer on the specials menu. We also ordered the blackened shrimp - they were delicious and fresh - and we ordered the fried mozzarella again. As usual, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. read more

We first stopped in at the Feast and was quickly informed that they were booked and we would need a reservation. My parents did not have the same experience. They were able to walk right in. We booked a reservation for the next night and walked right in to our table. It was nice to not have to wait. We had the crab legs and chicken Alfredo! It was all delicious! The worst meal ever. Been coming to AMI for over 12 years in live in North Florida. Tonight's food was cold, no flavor. Never order 29 minutes to closing. Manager was the rude, unprofessional and and didn't even acknowledge the food quality. I send this out to all visitors, please be careful when selecting the FEAST.
