Gave this place too many chances. I prefer to eat my sushi with chopsticks and wasabi. They do not include these items automatically. I don't keep a stash at home either. I decided to update my review because of how great this place is after posting the review a few weeks ago I thought I could include more after coming to this place many times. The staff inside are always friendly even if they are very busy, they always take the time to say hello to you as you walk in. They give you a good amount of food for a very fair price. The food is always fresh and always arranged very nicely. They are very quick with the food even when they are very busy as well. The inside is decorated nicely it has a very modern look and isn't packed. The Decour really brings the place out. They even have products from Japan you can buy including noodles and different types of drinks. The place is always clean and always looks nice. All the food there is delicious. If you are looking for a great sushi place to go to I would highly recommend coming here. Wonderful. Was in the area looking for sushi and came across this restaurant. I ordered the Alaskan roll, fire cracker roll, salmon and avocado bowl, and a California roll. Picked up the order in a very nicely package brown paper bag. Each roll was packed in its own container. Came with chopsticks, soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger. The sushi was definitely made with love. The rice was tightly packed in each roll and the ingredients tasted so fresh. The Alaskan and firecracker roll were priced at $12 each with about 8 pieces in each. The salmon and avocado bowl was $7 and the Cali roll $6, a little bit privet than other sushi places but certainly worth it. Menu is online. The workers were nice and welcoming when I came to pick up. It seemed to be Korean owned as kpop was streaming on the tv and the half the staff was speaking Korean as I walked in. The place was very well lit and decorated inside. I will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area. Give this place a try you will not be disappointed! My husband and I frequent here and normally share the penguin tray for dinner, when I discovered my 3 year old son liked sushi him and I stopped in for lunch and got take out. They let us wait in the car and brought it out to us and even threw in a free drink for him! We've never had any issues since they opened we love The Goblin! read more

Goblin is one of my go to restaurant that I recommend to everyone. For the first time I am very disappointed. I ordered the bbq eel roll but I got a dragon roll. I would not care as much but I am allergic to shellfish, but that is my fault for not saying I am. Just please be more careful that you make what is ordered! I have mixed feelings about Goblin Sushi. The fish itself being the most important part of a sushi restaurant is incredibly fresh and delicious. The uni was the best I've ever had in Michigan. However, if you're sourcing out the highest quality fish and uni, why use fake crab? They even have an amazing wasabi that is not your typical fake green paste. So the fake stringy crab seemed out of place. I was also only offered water and hot tea upon arrival. Not sure what other beverages they offer. The dining in experience is also hindered a bit when your drinking out of plastic cups and eating off of paper plates. I love the small menu because it makes it very easy to ensure freshness at all times but a few staples would be nice to see offered like salmon roe, octopus, and even a ginger dressed salad and miso soup. Hopefully they can add them as daily specials in the future. All in all the fish was incredibly fresh and delicious which is the most important but service definitely lacked and the dine in experience isn't as good as you would find at other sushi bars. I wish they could take their fish and menu and combine it with the service and dining experience of other sushi bars. I will be back. read more

We had Goblin sushi delivered and it was delicous. Also they added cold packs to the order to keep everything at a good temperature on a hot day. We had the todays nigiri set, torched scallop, alaska roll, cucumber and avacado roll, shrimp tempura roll and salmon nigiri. We would order all of these items again. Sandwiched in between a check cashing place and what appears to be a job placement service this little joint served some delicious sushi. Inside decor was very modern and clean. Chefs seemed like they were Korean and Japanese so that's a good thing (been to places with non-Asian chefs and not good). read more

Wow!!!!! What a great experience. I've actually ate here twice in a row for lunch because it was so good. I got take out one day and I ate in the restaurant the other time. Both were flawless experiences. I got the avocado and cucumber roll both times and they were both phenomenal. So fresh and perfectly made. The restaurant is clean and beautiful. The sushi chef was very personal and the execution of sushi was amazing. This place has all the ingredients of a 5 star, but they are focused on take out. They have a nice dining area but we were turned off by Styrofoam plates and take out soy sause and Wasabi that had to be ripped open. A few small tweaks such as soy sauce on the table and Wasabi on your plate would make this a 5 star. The food is fantastic. read more
