This is a fun little place to go hang out with friends and have a beer. They do have a small playground area, but it is really small. They also do some live music. They didn't have much more than that for entertainment that I saw. They have a nice covered area to hang out under. They did have some great food trucks out there and everyone was really happy with what they got. read more

I made the drive up to Cedar Park and my friend was excited to take me here as it had just opened up and seemed to add a streak of cool to my friend's new neighborhood. So, it was midweek around 8pm and while the patio had plenty of folks and there was music going the food trucks were done and they weren't too courteous about letting it be known they were closed or out of food or closing up. So, the taps were open which allowed me to try out a beer. The staff pouring were definitely friendly, letting me know some of their personal favorites on tap as well as letting me try some out. I did also appreciate that they had some NA options as well and I liked the kombucha they had on tap so much I had two more of those instead of the more adult beverage options they had. If there was a way to have some of the bar staff cross train with the food truck staff it would make a huge improvement. read more

Such a cute spot to enjoy the outside, have a drink, and eat some food truck goodness! We got here right when it opened on a Sunday and it quickly filled up. Come early! It was pretty cold, but they had little gas fireplaces all over to keep warm. There is a half indoor area that had heaters. Big area for kids to do their thing. My dogs enjoyed the turf to sun bathe. This is a cute food truck park! I had skewer chicken plate from Fez Medi. The chicken was juicy and super flavorful. Unfortunately, the rice was not as flavorful. It was pretty bland. The pickled salad was yummy. This food truck I would give 3/5 but the Good Lot is pretty cool. They do trivia on Tuesday and that looks really fun. The descriptive term "Food truck lot" really doesn't do justice to this very unique venue. We went back again yesterday primarily because a friend has organized a plant sale. That event surely added to the traffic of happy families but the main attraction is still there every day. During our visit, I estimate that there was about three hundred people having a superbly happy time. Lots of kids running around playing safely. lots of happy pets including our granddog, Winnie. Most visitors seemed to know other patrons so it's like a neighborly utopia. No need to talk about the food and beverage offerings, they are superb and there is always something for every taste. The Good Lot is a wonderful addition to the CP area. Bring your kiddos and your hounds sit outside under the shade or on their covered patio. Cocktails anyone? Pro tip: Don't park in the adjoining neighborhood park 5 minutes away at the Veterans Memorial Park. Stretch your legs on the way there and work off that beer on the way back. read more

Wow! What a great spot! My husband and I were visiting family and decided to go cruising around the Cedar Park and Leander area. We passed this spot and thought it looked like way too much fun not to turn around and go back and check it out! I'm so glad we did! The ambience was amazing. Super chill vibes, clean and well kept. The Good Lot does food trucks right! Inviting outdoor seating, play area for the kids, lots of beers on tap, and professional, good quality food trucks with lots of variety. We loved the atmosphere and astroturf 'backyard' area where the kids met instant playmates, and we were able to relax outside and enjoy the weather. Nothing bad to say here. The lot was great - fake grass so it was clean and kids could be on it without ending up disgusting. Playground was small but adequate. Liked the fire pit table to keep warm. The collection of food trucks was the best we've been to (done a lot of food truck parks). The food served was more upscale. Rice is Right had the best cauliflower wings, the potatoes at the med restaurant were delicious, and the 1/2 beef 1/2 bacon burger was fought over. Great variety and quality. Beer selection was also great. Was able to get multiple different darker beers, while also having several pale choices for my wife. In short - this is my new favorite food truck location. read more

This is a very family friendly brewery and the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon (well, before it's blazing). We came with a group of friends and though it took a little bit we were able to find a great spot with clear view of the play area. My only complaint is that they could use better play equipment- they have this tower that kids can climb but it leads nowhere so kids can get stuck at the top with other kids below them possibly blocking their way down. And maybe some shading for the play area will come in handy when the summer sun beats down on us Texans. Other than that, it was great. I loved all the tree coverage and outdoor seating. OH! My husband & I are in from outta town and this place is super close to our airBNB. What's not to like about this place! You have the freedom to roam around, hang out on a beautiful, spacious outdoor turfed space, and drink and eat delicious food. The Good Lot is every amount of chill as an outdoor social space should be. They totally nailed the vibes. Beer selection is on point, serving ranges of IPAs to pilsners, to cans of beer, to your favorite wine, all at a fair price. Food options come from 3-4 food trucks that are normally spot on. I know they have rotated selections, but it seems to mostly be BBQ, Venezuelan, Asian, and Southern. Great mixup from your basic pizza and fried. Lines and overcrowding never seem to be an issue, even on a Friday night - which is honestly surprising and refreshing. The only issue is parking, so you'll have to try and get creative there or pray someone is looking to leave when you arrive. read more

I've probably been to the Good Lot at least 5 times since moving out to the Cedar Park area. It's an awesome beer garden with stellar staff and food trucks that are great for any occasion. The bar area has tons of local beers that they do let you sample. The staff have typically made some great drink suggestions that I always attempt to look out for when buying larger packs at my nearest liquor store. At this point, I think I've had food from each of their more permanent food trucks and will say that you really can't go wrong with what you choose. It's a beautiful and well maintained location. Had we not had a negative experience with one of the owners we'd be back. We ordered food at The Rice is Right food truck. While waiting we were approached by one of the owners. He was polite, but immediately communicated their no outside container policy referencing my wife's almost empty Starbucks cup. I understand the spirit of the policy given they're selling their own food and drinks; HOWEVER, we had literally just ordered food from one of their 'blessed' vendors, and the cup in question was an almost empty Starbucks cup. Really? This interaction with the owner was our first experience at The Good Lot. We likely won't be back anytime soon. There are plenty of better options in the area, like the food truck park on Bagdad just north of Crystal Falls. They're a lot friendlier there with excellent food trucks. read more

My daughter and I visited The Good Lot yesterday (8/8/21). It's the new and hot food truck and bar spot in Cedar Park TX (2500 W New Hope). The Good Lot has a main building with a large dining area enclosed by glass garage doors that open and a bar that has numerous beers, ales, ciders, and craft sodas. It's nestled among the oak trees. There is a nice amount of paved parking and gravel lot parking. The Good Lot also has dining areas under the oaks along with a game area (corn hole) and a playground for the kids with a large wooden teepee for climbing. They are dog friendly. The Good Lot had 4 food trucks. We chose The Rice Is Right that serves Korean inspired rice boxes and other items. We ordered the crispy chicken box and the cauliflower box. Both items were perfectly fried and coated in a sweet and spicy Korean sauce. Flavor was amazing. The boxes came with steamed white rice and a purple cabbage slaw. The portions were large and more than enough food for us. There were other food trucks that served Mediterranean, Pork, and Chicken. The menus look good and I will explore those in the future. After we took our dogs to the dog park nearby, we noticed that the Good Lot had finally opened! The beer selection was great, lots of locals including Whitestone, Hedgehog, Red Horn, Family Brewing and (of course) some lovely PHP Jellyfish on tap. We decided to tried Yaadbird, since we hadn't had any fried chicken in a while. The lemon pepper chicken was on point, crispy, juicy, peppery, a 'lil salty, and everything you need in your fried chicken! The property is beautiful and well landscaped. The lawn was amazing! It was so fluffy! When we first arrived we just admired the live oak trees and the quality of the grass.. Lawn lovers, you will understand... The bartenders were very nice and very excited to introduce so many new people to the Good Lot. The owner was all over the bar, pouring drinks, helping staff, and checking with guests, seeming to have time for everyone. We are looking forward to coming back here and trying the 3 other food trucks, along with the rotating beer menu. Hope they are planning to host more events, as we would love to do an anniversary party here at some point! read more

Finally, a really great beer garden in Cedar Park. I came on their first "soft public open" day and I'm so glad I did. I've been to about 20 pubs and bars in CP and this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. It's an open air (no AC but there is heat in the winter) with big garage doors that were open and a huge ceiling fan so it was comfortable. There were about 20 taps and 3 of them were not filled yet. I chatted with the owner and she said she was looking for ideas so my friend Greg gave her some. :) There is plenty of indoor seating. Plus, there is a huge grassy area with picnic tables and even a fire pit. It's family-friendly so no smoking. There is a playground for the kids and spots for four food trucks although only two were filled. Beer was about $6 on average so not cheap but not expensive either. $1 off all day on Mondays. It was an enjoyable experience and a really great ambience. I'll definitely be back! read more

I have been dying to go since this place opened and we finally got the chance today. No disappointments here! This place is non-smoking, dog-friendly (leashed) and kid-friendly, with a unique play area, six sets of cornhole, and plenty of shaded grassy area to run around in. Tables are wide and comfortable, and the entire patio was open-air, so social distancing is a breeze. We ate at the Oinkmobile truck (delicious) and grabbed local beers and ciders at the patio desk. We walked the fifteen minutes from our house, but it looks like they have a decent-sized parking lot and are working on creating more space. The only downside is that there's no ramp down to the grass/play area, but hopefully they'll make it more accessible in the future. Found out The Good Lot opened last Saturday so we had to head over. We arrived and got in line to get a beer (lots of local options which you love to see!). Once we got a drink, we were lucky enough to snag a table under the fans and the breeze was so nice. They had live music while we were there, which I believe will continue on weekends so that's fun. The lawn looked so nice, chairs to sit in, trees for shade, lawn games for entertainment! Great beer selection! They really should get penny bags hung out because there are SO many flies. They would get 5 stars if there weren't so many flies. For the owners- they may have different names other places- it's a ziploc bag with water and you put coins in and hang them. If you Google penny bag it will tell you they avoid them because it's bright (thanks Matt for googling!) but I like to think it looks like a spider web to fly eyeballs so they are trying to stay away from a web.
