As far as I can tell, The Good Lot only has 5 star reviews and for good reason. It is a great beer garden with plenty of non-beer options as well. I have always passed by the place and noticed how busy it is most weeknights and especially weekends, but I am certainly pleased with what it brings to the community. Generally it gets pretty busy after 6PM until close, and parking can be difficult to find. Carpooling or taking a rideshare would be the best way to do it in my opinion as I would hate to park in front of someone else's house in the nice neighborhoods nearby. Certainly a parking lot expansion is something the owners are considering as that is my only issue with the place especially when it gets busy. That being said, it is always a great atmosphere with a variety of food and drink options. There are also always lots of dogs in the grassy area by the patio and it is nice to see how family-friendly the place is. I will certainly be back and bring some friends in the future! read more

I came here on a Sunday around 7 and it was pretty packed but we scored a table "inside". Great place to come with the family, there is a playground and several food trucks to choose from. If all the tables outside are taken, you can bring your own blanket or chairs (totally doing this next time). Beers are reasonably priced & I love the open tab concept. Bartenders were really sweet. Dogs are allowed and it's not a place where you feel like you're on a time limit. Will definitely be back! read more

Took little kids on a weekend and had great food and a great time! We ordered from each of the 4 food trucks (birria, Mediterranean, burgers, Korean/Chinese) and all of the food was very good. The standout for us was the loaded Fez fries: seasoned fried potatoes topped with harissa aioli, feta, sumac, and lamb and mint & cucumber/watermelon salad with whipped feta. I will go back just for these dishes. We also had homemade popsicles which were all delicious. The kids climbed in the small jungle gym area, rolled down the modest incline, and ran around in the grass while listening to live music from the beer hall. The fire pits were covered, so we played games we brought from home on the "fire pit tables." It was quite a hot day and the misters were full throttle. They cooled a little but even so, the mist was lovely as it flowed through the trees. All-in-all, this is the kind of place that makes people love the Austin lifestyle. read more

Plenty of good beers, wines and ciders... gals were so nice behind the bar.. offered samples and were super sweet... good folks, good music and good grub.... my son joined us and grabbed some food from the food trucks... cauliflower wings, shrimp fried rice and macaroni and cheese... so so good.... bring your chairs/ blanket to sit on because tables and chairs are hard to snag... the lines are long for drinks but they go fast.... The Good Lot is a very welcomed addition to Cedar Park! Since moving to the area I wished there was a cool spot we could walk to and then the Good Lot opened. The open beer garden is absolutely beautiful. They pour local beer, ciders and also serve wine. In addition most days they have 2-3 food trucks (soon there will be 4 trucks). In addition there is lush green grass with corn hole and areas to put down a blanket picnic style as well as a playscape for kids. This is a neighborhood friendly indoor/outdoor bar with several food trucks and live music. We came upon it by an invitation from a friend to meet them for a drink. What a wonderful experience. There was a variety of beers on tap and nice small selection of wine by the glass. The food was outstanding. Most importantly the environment and the friendliness of the staff was exceptional. Drove from Georgetown to meet our friends here for their 2nd weekend being open. It was great! Plenty of shade and fans/breeze (can't wait to come again in the fall). I almost wish they would've made the covered seating area twice as big because it definitely was crowded. The beer and food truck selection was great. Tons of kids so for sure family friendly. We didn't have any issues parking like I've seen on Instagram. The staff was super friendly too! Only advice I'd give to owners is maybe buy a few more high chairs and beer flight holders, and put up a fence off New Hope because that busy street made me nervous with all the kiddos. read more

It has only been open for 3 weeks and the word is getting out. As we were leaving tonight, the park lot was pretty full. Great place to relax with buddies after work or with the family with a wooden teepee for the kids to climb and corn hole. Oh my! Visited the Good Lot for the first time on a cool Saturday night in October and was very happy I did. Let's start with the atmosphere - fantastic. Huge outdoor space with picnic tables plastic chairs or plenty of room to bring your own (even saw someone bring their own folding table). Live music was at just the right volume playing just the right kind of classic rock that doesn't offend and always pleases. Beer selection was generous and reasonably priced (not to mention $5 glasses of wine). Had a 50/50 burger at Oink and was BLOWN away. It's half bacon and half beef and all good. Loved it. The bacon Mac and cheese was also delicious but the portion was a little small for $9 (my only complaint of the night). Tip may want to bring some of your own chairs as backup if you are coming with a group of 4+ and want to sit outside. Decent size space but seating required some luck on a Saturday 3pm. Mist system and fans make even a hot afternoon pleasant. However, I was initially drawn to this place to hear the advertised live music. On my visit, there was no proper listening area, and the clientele was very disrespectful to the musicians, choosing seats near the floor-level "stage" when others were open, then literally shouting their conversations over the speakers, which made it impossible to enjoy the music. Signage on near-stage tables or above the performance area to indicate a listening space on music nights would help support musicians and their listeners. I will gladly change this to a 5-star review if the music situation has improved when I give it another try. read more

My family and I have been to The Good Lot a few times. We love the atmosphere. There is something there for everyone. If you have children, there is a small playground/play structure. They also have a corn hole game section. The food options are nice as well. I really enjoy the Oink truck and their bbq themed dishes. I am currently pregnant and have not been able to try the many beer and wine options, but I am excited to indulge come December! The Good Lot can get a bit busy, especially during the weekend. I recommend bringing a large blanket to sit on in case the picnic tables are all in use. In addition, be prepared to park near the road or across the street if it is packed. This spot was super cute for a low-key night! Loved the ambiance and the big dog-friendly yard and playground for kids. Fun to have a flight to try four beers instead of committing to just one! Very cool......if you can get in. It's usually so crowded that there are no parking spaces or tables (I guess you could bring a blanket and sit on the lawn if you're young and flexible enough). FINALLY were able to get in fairly early on a Saturday (around noon). There were 4 food trucks, of which 3 were open. We ordered food from two of the trucks. I won't go into detailed reviews of each truck, here, but one was pretty awesome, the other just mediocre. The "Lot", or food park, including the beer hall, was pretty awesome! The atmosphere had a very cool vibe (very Austin despite being in Cedar Park) and the staff were extremely friendly. And, to top it off, they not only had a BUNCH of craft beers, they also had the usual domestic breweries such as Anhauser-Bush and Miller for not-so-adventerous of us. My only disappointments were that there wasn't any live music when we went (there apparently is at other times), and that I couldn't stay longer. Will be back on another "Off Day" for them. read more
