Vegan California Burrito without the fries :(
Lori A.

Such a nice lively atmosphere with great views! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated that they had a separate vegan menu. We ordered 2 different vegan brunch entrees. One was great and the other was not good. We really liked the Vegan Rancheros. It was plentiful and flavorful with lots of different roasted vegetables and a great sauce. Then there was the vegan California Burrito which they forgot to add the fries to. It was also pretty small especially since they charge $22. They brought us a side of fries to make up for it, but by then my husband was almost done with the burrito. Our server was nice to take $5 off the bill though. Also they should add the tomatoes, cilantro and salsa inside the burrito. It's a pain to have to do that yourself. But overall a very nice experience!

Chicken and waffles with sauce on the side (chicken a bit too fried - not much actual chicken)
Cheryl S.

Highlight: Bloody Mary. Excellent and nutritious! Probably the best breakfast spot one might ever find before a round of golf. Biscuits and spicy gravy: The gravy had okay flavor. We couldn't taste the spicy as the description indicates and otherwise also didn't have a ton of flavor to it. But, it also wasn't the white goo breakfast stops sometimes serve - so points there! It was also a tad too thick (like it was made the day prior and sitting in a warming pot all morning). The biscuit was kind of chewy - not firm enough to support gravy over the top - the gravy just made the biscuit kind of mushy. Chicken and waffles: I got the gravy on the side just in case I didn't like it. The waffles were very good. The chicken came in 4-5 little pieces (vs a breast or thigh) and was too breaded and fried. By the time I carved some of the breading off my husband even asked "is there any chicken there?"

Strawberry, Banana, & Nutella waffles
Mekhala B.

Got the Strawberry, Banana & Nutella Waffles and unfortunately, they were so sweet that I started to feel sick after eating a little bit of it. I think they would've tasted better without so much Nutella. The fruit was drowned in it too, so there was no balance to the sweetness. However, my waitress was incredible and empathetic and she gave me a few pieces of fried chicken for free to try and make up for it and when I tell you that was the best fried chicken I've ever had, I am not exaggerating. Literally melts in your mouth. I ended up ordering more of it and devoured all of it before I could take a picture. I wish I remembered her name (taller black woman and I believe her hair was in a bun?), but honestly, all of the waiters were attentive and helpful, so I think it's also just a good culture there. They definitely didn't have a shortage of staff. I had like 4 waiters come up to me before I was seated. I went on a Friday for a late lunch and it was pretty empty, so maybe that's why. But overall, my waitress saved my experience! Love her!

Crispy Chicken Sandwich w/can of Modela
Becky E.

Our waiter was Daniel we'd like to recognize him for great service l. We both had chrispy sandwich which was served on a brioche bun an some amazing crispy fries. Along with a Negra Modelo, & Screwdriver. The food was ok, the chicken was dark meat not a chicken breast and had a lot of breading. We saw a couple other people getting the eggs Benedict which actually looked pretty amazing. I'd definitely try this restaurant again but would not order the crispy chicken sandwich.

It was okay. It wasn't great; it wasn't terrible. The server was nice. It was a beautiful day outside. They were pretty busy. Dog friendly patio. The Bloody Mary was good/okay. The food was okay. It was good, but the eggs were undercooked. Overall a pretty average experience. B-/C+

Grilled cheese w/ turkey (+$3) & tomato soup ($16.99) good, but pricey vs amount of food
Joe P.

We stopped by The Grill after we played at adjacent Pacific Grove golf course in Pacific Grove. The Grill offers bfast, lunch & dinner in a more upscale setting vs your regular golf course cafe. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich w/ turkey (upcharge) & tomato soup. The sandwich and soup had good flavor. However, for the price, I would have expected a bigger sandwich. My friend had similar feedback on his BLAT. Regarding the ambiance, they have indoor and outdoor seating: Its comfortable here. Likewise, the staff is friendly & warm. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I was still hungry after spending $28 w/ tax, tip and an iced tea. Not a Mediocre Mon, but certainly not a place I would go out of my way to visit.

I am traveling and dining solo on a trip around California. This is my first visit to this establishment dated December 28, 2024. Although it's associated with the golf course, think of it as a freestanding café and restaurant. There is ample parking, good signage. Friendly and accommodating staff. Pleasant decor, and some seats have a view of the ocean. The menu is varied. I went with the vegan burrito and was really delighted with it. The tortilla was soft, and the filling of potatoes, spinach and mushrooms was a nice blend. There was a Mole' type sauce on the side. Service was fast. Prices are reasonable, given the location and one of the most beautiful locations in the country.

Food was delicious and our server Vanessa was amazing, will definitely be coming back. The vibe was chill and good music, worth the visit! :)

This place was amazing and definitely a must. A friend and I came for brunch, and we were not disappointed. There was no wait. However, the restaurant was full. Our server quickly greeted us and offered us mimosas. It was very tempting with the view of the ocean and the sounds of the putting grounds behind me. I chose their drip coffee instead. My meal for the day was the salmon Benedict. The food came out in reasonable time and I love that it was cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the crab cakes and they did not disappoint. They were crispy on the outside and full of crab on the inside. She also ordered it with an extra side of bacon and fruit. The ambience of the ocean and the Sun and the saltiness in the air cannot be appreciated in words but must be enjoyed in person. Don't miss an opportunity to try this restaurant.

The best Bloody Mary on the peninsula:)
Katie K.

This was my first visit, and much anticipated. I came to try the award winning Bloody Mary! I've tried them all across the peninsula, and immediately I could tell the mix is house made. The balance of fresh and zest was perfect. The bacon was made fresh for the drinks, and that was a special and unexpected touch. We were seated as a party of 2, on the patio, by Elias. He was warm, personable and helpful. He managed to exist in that service space that offers customers everything they need without being overbearing. He's a true gem, and will create a positive impression anywhere lucky enough to employ him. We were served by Rebecca. She was informative, friendly and peppered our experience with the perfect about of joy. She made helpful menu recommendations, as well. I'm impressed. But I don't know what impressed me more- the meal, the Bloody Mary, or the true delight experienced in service. Again, this was my first visit, but absolutely not the last. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Bloody Mary
Jennifer L.

Absolutely so impressed by this gem of a restaurant down the street from me! I'm not exaggerating but the waffle was probably the best waffle I've ever had. There was something magical about it like it had vanilla extract in it and it was so fluffy and fresh. The real maple syrup does put it over the top. The Bloody Mary is also amazing. So many accoutrements--bacon, cornichons, celery, onion, carrot and so good! If you don't get the Bloody Mary, whatever you get should have a side of bacon. Came on a weekend and it was busy but not busy enough that we had to wait for a table or service was slow. The service was prompt and friendly. I did come back on a Friday for lunch and service was very slow. Only three other tables but it took like 10-15 minutes for someone to take our order and come to our table. Nevertheless, the food is absolutely worth it. The double cheeseburger is also amazing, juicy, and flavorful. I love the crispy fries and be sure to order the sides like lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions (these are upon request). The restaurant has nice views of the golf course and ocean. It's got high ceilings with beautiful stained glass butterflies and plants. I can't believe it took me so long to come back but as a local, it's my new favorite breakfast spot.

The service was straight out of the old days, when people actually had pride in their work and genuinely cared about how you were treated in their establishment. We wish every restaurant that offers gluten free options could have someone as friendly, kind and knowledgeable as Raul. The ambiance was very cute/quaint inside and out. It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside to enjoy the sunshine and listen to the sea lions. Raul came out to check on us and we could not thank him enough for his amazing food and hospitality. When we said how much we enjoyed the gluten free bread, he told us he sold the flour (from Italy) inside. My adult son immediately bought some for us to bake gluten-free bread at home. Note: The restaurant doesn't have its own bathroom but there is a public restroom across the street. The public restroom was a bit gross when I went in (lots of flies swarming) and did not have a diaper changing table.
