Chicken Platter with Tzatziki sauce on side. My side of hummus was missing.

First time here since they had a special advertised on Facebook for free chicken wings with a minimum purchase. I ordered the Chicken platter and it was excellent! The only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 was because I paid for hummus on the side and it wasn't included in my bag. I ordered mine to go. The food was very healthy. I might return because they also serve Babaganoush, which I love and isn't found in American supermarkets.

Honestly this place is super dirty. The veggies taste like if they have been pre cut and left outside then refrigerated! For a first time tbh never again.

The food was okay, we got the regular combo plate and the portions are plentiful, enough for 2 people to share. Makes for a great low carb/keto meal if you just ask for more lettuce in place of the rice. The place seems a little run down so we took it to go and enjoyed it at home. The halal white sauce is really good, the hot sauce makes you sweat so don't put too much of it on your plate if you can't take the heat!

The one on the left is the beef gyro plate with barely any meat at all.

We came to buy 3 plates of food on Saturday night, around 9pm thirty minutes before closing. Me and my brother were served our 2 mixed plates by a kind female server with glasses (I regret that I forgot her name but I know it starts with an M). The portions she gave were very fair and her service was great. However, when my parents ordered their plate, they were served by Katie and her portion giving was totally subpar! They ordered a gyro only plate and she gave two half scoops that equaled up to one normal scoop. Then, when my parents asked her if that was the right proportions, she said yes and proceeded to want to charge them for an extra scoop. On top of that, her attitude and service were terrible and unwelcoming. We've been going here for years and it has always been a hit or miss with the employee serving the portions. But to be honest, more times than not we have experienced very skimpy servers. It's too bad because the food is great, but when the servers are trained to be too skimpy, it reminds us of Chipotle and we are just so tired of spending our money here when the portion isn't at all equal to the price. I really hope the owners and management can train all their employees to give a fair, decent sized portions, especially in this economy. If things don't change soon, all business will be going to Kebab Shop next to Target.

Went at 7pm Friday for take home dinner. Told the guy beef AND chicken. He goes "oh OK". Does this look like beef and chicken? Even the beef was not really warm or fresh. Waste of money I also asked him if the side of hummus was $4 because that's how much it was last time? Instead of the $1 scoop that they put on top of your food. He responded yes, and then proceeded to charge me $6 for it. BTW this isn't the first time they don't get your order right. My work stopped ordering us meals from there because they always got some wrong.. Not going back for a WHILE...

Was torn between this place and the kebab shop, for lunch today. Looks like halal guys won! I ordered the sandwich, interesting they call it that and not a wrap/gyro. I chose chicken as the protein, added hummus for an extra $1, lettuce tomato and their sauce. Very tasty, only complaint it will fall apart at the first bite. I don't know the solution to the bread falling apart so fast, but let's just say I needed a fork to eat the rest of the stuff.

I've heard of Halal Guys but had never tried it. This time we were in the area for something else and decided we would give it a try! We really love this type of food so it was a good healthy option for lunch. Upon entering we were greeted by staff. People were friendly and helpful. I noticed the restaurant has plenty of seating and there was only one other group dining, but we were here really early so it wasn't quite peak lunchtime yet. We ordered a couple bowls; I got the chicken and my husband had beef shwarma and falafel. They cooked the falafel fresh when we ordered, so it was hot a fresh and tasted great! The rest of the food was good too. It came with a packet of white sauce which is mild and creamy but adds a good flavor to the food. Everything was fresh and even my daughter enjoyed it. Nothing wrong with the food but it felt very...simple? I'm not sure what it was but it felt like this was underseasoned or something. It was delicious but it seems that other similar food I have had felt more "authentic" and this might be a little bit more for the American palate. Not really a complaint, but if you like similar places with bold flavors, you might not find those bold flavors here. All in all it was a tasty and healthy lunch. Child approved so that's also a good thing!

Typical Halal guys. Freshly made Mediterranean food served in a Chipotle style assembly line in a bowl! -Cute interior at this location. -Employees were very helpful. -Food is solid as always. If you are shopping yourself to death at the Cerritos mall, and feel hungry, this restaurant should be on your list to satisfy that hunger!!!

I love my halal guy's chicken platter fix with white sauce and a side of hot sauce. Unfortunately it is a hit or miss. This time around, my rice seemed like at the end of the barrel so I was getting a crunch in every bite. Apart from that, the customer service was excellent. I just wished I got fresher rice.

My wife accidentally ordered from the one in Long Beach even though I told her I was in Cerritos. Mona was the first to greet me in the Cerritos store and was very cordial when trying to help find my order. After having problems finding the order, she asked if I had my order number. It was then we realized my wife ordered from the wrong one. Lee, the very polite manager here at Cerritos was able to get in contact with the manager from Long Beach and found a solution to my problem. We arrived to find two folks in line so we ordered quickly (it was mid-afternoon). The staff and other customers were helpful for us first-timers. The combo platter & sandwich were amazing. I got just one line of the red sauce + a packet on the side in case it wasn't enough. Prices are a little high but the quality was great so it was a fair deal. The restrooms were clean and fresh. First time coming here. Place was okay. There's no line so we were able to get our orders immediately. We had two combo plates, beef and chicken and all the fixings. The meat was delicious, not dry. The white sauce was delicious. The vegetables seems fresh. I love their pita bread. I asked for their hot sauce on the side, which is in a small packet. I find it too hot for my taste. We ordered online and went to go pick it up. The confirmation told us to be there at 6:33 and it was ready on time. I think i will always order this way from now on. The platform was easy to use and they made it easy to make modifications. They have a cash register at the door so you don't have to go inside. They are currently not accepting cash. Established in 1990.

The Halal Guys' incredible journey begins in 1990 with our three Egyptian founders. They first started a hot dog cart in New York City, then pivoted to selling halal food to Muslim taxi drivers who at the time had few outlets for authentic halal food in the five boroughs. Thus, our famous platters of chicken and gyro over rice, falafel sandwiches, and crave-able sauces were born. Word spread about the unique American Halal Food we offer, and our fanbase quickly expanded beyond Muslim cabbies to a much larger, diverse demographic of Americans eager to experience new and exotic tastes, textures, and flavors. Our original carts operated around the clock, serving guests in signature long lines that extended down the block. From lunch rushes to late-night food runs, we have always been here for our guests. The continued, enthusiastic demand for our fresh, delicious food and warm hospitality justified our expansion to bring authentic American Halal Food to a wider audience.

This easily could have become our favorite location. Unfortunately, since Shor rebranded as Khan Saab, the overall experience seems to have gone downhill. The staff themselves are always nice, genuine, and willing to help, but once the restaurant gets even a little busy, they seem overwhelmed and clearly understaffed. Compared to the original Fullerton location, especially when more of the familiar OG staff were there, the service does not feel as polished or consistent. Our last visit was particularly disappointing. We ordered chicken karahi, chicken tikka masala, biryani, and bhel puri. The bhel puri was extremely dry with very little sauce and tasted poorly balanced. Nearly everything else, including the biryani, karahi, and tikka masala, was overly salty. The chicken karahi was the biggest disappointment. It is usually one of my go-to dishes at Khan Saab, but this time it barely tasted like karahi and was more like a generic curry. I understand this location does not offer boneless karahi, which is completely fine, but the flavor and quality should still be consistent. This location has so much potential because of the space and the Khan Saab name, but the consistency in both food and service just isn't there right now. I'll probably avoid this location for a while and hope ownership and Chef Ali Mookhi take notice and bring the standards back up.

While the smell of the spices was accurate, the chunks of lamb were dry and tough that even my husband who had zero expectations mentioned what I noticed. I'm giving this place 3 stars for it being a unique restaurant that tries, but at the price point and quality of food, we both didn't feel that it would be a place we would visit again. The empty restaurant during peak dinner hours might have been a hint. But if you have restrictions such as needing to eat Halal food, then this restaurant offers some different dishes, so that may be its huge plus.

In our shared meal, we prefer their marinated "toro fatty belly" and it comes with a huge order of meat, 2 pints of draft beer, an appetizer, and ice cream ($87 for two persons). If you choose a nice, fatty cut, then you will be pretty satisfied with the meat quality. My reasoning for this being 4 stars rather than 5 stars is that if you were to choose the wrong type of meat or if you don't order enough meat, then your experience will likely be suboptimal. Apparently, you can get refills on the veggies, so I'll try to ask for that next time! I have been hearing about the buzz of The Halal Guys in Long Beach and Costa Mesa and I have been meaning try this place if I ever was in those areas. But when I opened up my Yelp app and found that The Halal Guys opened in Cerritos and it was a hot and new business and I literally was excited and jumped on my car and drove to this location and ordered the falafel platter. As I was about to pay, I didn't have my bank card and was embarrassed and flustered. Gabbi and the staff were understanding and didn't make me feel like a turd. I frantically rushed back to the office and found my card which was in my other jacket and drove back to this place. This time after looking at the menu closely again I got the combo regular platter which was chicken and beef gyro served with rice and veggies and their sauce options( I took all of it on the platter). I also ordered the falafel on the side. So why is this a five star review. (1) staff here very friendly and understanding and Gabbi(Gabby, sorry don't know exact spelling) was totally understanding and they really did not make me feel stupid for forgetting my wallet. (2) the regular platter combo(chicken and beef gyro with all the sauces, rice and veggies) was really good and I love it. Yes it's a healthy dish, but heck yeah it's good and reminds me of New York and the street vendors along 34th in Manhattan that would sell falafel sandwich and plates. The white sauce and the spicy sauce are what make the meal for me, they both pack a punch and complete the meal. The atmosphere is in line with all their so cal locations, with tables to sit and chill inside if you want to eat there. The only downside here is the inconsistency with the quality, sometimes the meal hits just right, but other times it's a little bit off. Ima huge fan of halal guys especially whenever I go to New York. This place for some reason is always so cold!!! Like freezing. It's hard to dine in and enjoy my meal when it feels like Antarctica in there. Also I've been to different halal guy locations such as Las Vegas, and this location Is the skimpiest on meat. CAANDICE GURL! YOU HOOKED ME UP! This amazing employee gave me the exact portions that I continuously ask for but never get. I told her DONT BE SHY and she sure wasn't. I go to Halal Guys in Cerritos at least twice a week and all the employees are so helpful and kind. Candace is especially amazing. Candace is very kind and helpful and knows her regular customers well. If Candace is not the one helping me, she lets the person who is know how I like my order. I really love the food, too. Amazing food, small town ambiance, friendly and prompt service. Loved being there for dinner with my husband and my nephew and his family. I had the salmon. It was by far the best I have ever tasted. I hate leaving a one star. Most the time I just don't go back an say nothing. but this time I have to speak on it. The food is just OK nothing special. Whenever I go here Candis and AP are very helpful and the line always moves really fast. The meat is high quality and seasoned well and the vegetables are always fresh and ripe whenever I come. Falafel is cooked fresh to order so it is always warm when you receive it. Highly recommend! read more

ALERT The girl with the tattoo was rude as hell. On top of that she over charged my account. When I went to dispute it the manager stated there was nothing they could do. Will not come back . Dispute with my bank and will use social media platforms to blast this business. read more
