Dined here on a Saturday after walking around the area for a bit. There was a 20 min wait so we just at a table on the sidewalk and waited. I picked up a "wildflower" coffee while waiting and that was surprisingly delicious! Food 4/5 Ordered all American burger and Korean skirt steak. The burger was pretty delicious and the skirt steak was yummy but a bit spicy. I wish it was a larger portion given the $37 price tag! Drink 3/5 Had a mocktail which didn't taste like much other than sparkling water or sprite.. Ambiance 4/5 We were seated outside so there was a lot of noise from the street and also everyone sitting around us. They had seated a large group who seemed to be celebrating a birthday right next to us and they were LOUD. I think maybe not seating a large group (10+ people) right in the middle of the outside area, would've been better! It is a pretty place tho! Server 3/5 Our server seemed "fake" nice... he often forgot our requests and at the end, took away our plates without asking even though I was planning on finishing the fries. I couldn't ask him to put it back because he had already piled on other plates on top. Price 3/5 I thought $20 for a burger and $9 for a mocktail was fair but $37 for small pieces of meat over a small amount of rice was not it for me. After moving from Scottsdale to SoCal, we thought we had seen the end of our love affair with our local Sam Fox restaurants. but no.... thank you Cheesecake for opening this Henry location in Coronado. We can only hope that Blanco Tacos, Arrogant Butcher, True Kitchen, North Italia and Flower Child aren't far too behind. This location is just off the main drag of Orange Way, near C Avenue. We found parking to be easy midweek, though you will need to order your food from the Café. This is their weekday setup, due to the limited number of servers. As with almost all Sam Fox places, the food is very tasty and cleverly thought out. This location is no exception. Enjoy! read more

We had reservations for a Monday lunch. I recommend making reservations ahead of time. It was pretty crowded for a Monday. They have a beautiful outdoor patio, but was fully reserved so we were seated inside. The restaurant didn't looked as big from outside, but to my surprise it was very spacious and beyond gorgeous inside. The bar took up the front and indeed it was a fabulous bar! Well, let's not forget about the huge open kitchen in the back of the restaurant. It was spectacular and so fun watching the cooks/chefs prepare meals. Hostess was sweet and very welcoming. Our waiter was the highlight of our lunch! He was an older gentleman with the most bubbly/warm personality. Such a sweetheart and super attentive to all our needs. We ordered appetizers the potstickers and pretzel/cheese. Both dishes were delicious, but the pretzel bread/cheese is a must! Main dishes was the chicken salad, club sandwich, hamburger, and fish tacos. Every dish was well seasoned and perfectly cooked! Everyone agreed the chicken avocado salad stole the show! Love coming to The Henry! We have been here before as well as the Scottsdale location. We had a reservation for 8 and were sat promptly. We sat on the patio as it's always beautiful weather in Coronado. Ordered drinks, they have my favorite wine vavasour Sauvignon Blanc. We ordered the whipped ricotta appetizer and truffle fries appetizer. I decided to get something different for my meal than usual and opted for the shrimp taco platter. The shrimp taco platter was good but the shrimp were tough and overcooked. Other than that the experience was great! read more

Look, I love this place so much. It's my goto spot after a day the Coronado dog beach or just when I'm craving the Brussels sprouts and squash salad. BUT, I've gotten sick TWICE from them back to back within the last two weekends, which is so unlike this place. I told the waiter I had a gluten allergy so leave out the farro in my salad. I didn't even realize there was farro in the salad until I was nearly done. The manager took care of my bill, but I still had to pay the price of being sick for two days after. Last weekend, I ordered the rotisserie chicken salad. Next morning, I start getting awful stomach cramps and had to rush to a bathroom before being sick the rest of the day. For the last four days, I haven't been able to eat anything and have had all the symptoms of salmonella. I urge the restaurant to be much more careful with their kitchen because I'm not coming here for awhile. Such a bummer. read more

We came for Sunday brunch, so initially they told us it would be roughly an hour wait. They gave us the option of waiting in the bar seating line, so we did. We probably waited about 15/20 minutes before we were seated, and there was a couple in front of us too! When we sat at the bar (the service there was great), and we ordered the Summer Sangria, along with the Cali burrito, umami Brussels sprouts, and the French toast. The food was hot, fresh, and incredibly delicious. The all-star dish here was the plate of Umami Brussels sprouts. You've never had potstickers like these. I could've ordered this and salad and been happy. The Caesar salad was really good. It was chopped which made it easy to eat and the dressing with light. The portion was huge. Definitely big enough to share. I ordered the ahi tuna and my husband ordered the short rib entree. The ahi tuna was definitely better. The green curry sauce was to die for and the ahi was seared to perfection. I really wanted to order the breading pudding but it had raisins (gross). But I still felt everything was outstanding. Stopped for lunch on a Wednesday and had to 10 minutes while they changed over from breakfast to lunch. Worth the wait.

I loved this spot, their coffee was delicious and food equally wonderful. I see why the reviews. I think the salsa was my favorite of the Quinoa Breakfast Bowl, I could drink it by the gallon. Also loved their very refreshing iced green tea. It gets a little busy at lunch time but ordering drinks is easy right at the window. Sit down inside breakfast service is on just weekends I think. We loved it so much we came here multiple times during our week stay. Okay I admit I actually stopped in everyday for an iced green tea or a coffee beverage cuz they are just that quick, convenient and GOOD!!!!!! There wasn't a dish on the menu we didn't enjoy, even did a take out lunch one day to enjoy beachside and even that was packaged up presented well and was excellent. Great starter!! Our spritzers were fun and fruity. A couple of friends ordered the Beverly Hills Club and agreed it was a generous serving. Totally shareable! Again, my entree was the Scottish Salmon: chioggia beets, toasted grains, watercress, and marcona almond pesto. The fish was moist and easily separated by the tip of my fork. The pop of flavors from the bed of creamy grains, greens, and beets were simply delicious. The Henry has such great food and is able to accommodate dietary restrictions like celiac disease due to gluten free menu items and allergy protocols. My husband with celiac disease got the egg white omelet and substituted potatoes with fresh fruit due to cross contamination with the potatoes. The breakfast burritos and pistachio rice crispy treat are delicious. The rice crispy treat is huge and such a unique flavor. I ordered it two days in a row while we were on thee island :) Free refills on their green and black iced tea! Service was great! Tip: if you want to order from the breakfast menu make sure to get there before 10am to be safe. I arrived at 10:12am on a Friday and they had already stopped serving breakfast (says 10:30am on the menu) due to the wait they had. I asked if I could order takeout instead of waiting for a table to order from the breakfast menu but they weren't able to offer that. Definitely get a reservation and be prepared to parallel park but I will be bringing all my guests here moving forward. Shared short rib potstickers as an appetizer.. Entree was the Korean Skirt Steak with egg fried rice and lots of other ingredients including mint and peppers that gave the dish some heat. Service was good and prices were moderate. Portion size was not as large as expected, but meal was filling. Steak slices were tasty, tender and rare. Also ordered a multi-grain crusty bread with butter to top- off the meal. Sides are extra. Place is always busy and usually a wait. I was worried at first, because this place is all over the socials and that can be a big red flag. First up, we ordered the Korean Prime Skirt Steak, which sits atop a double egg fried rice with snap peas, bok choy, pickled shiitake, mint, cilantro and ginger. If any of that sounded appealing to you, then you MUST get this! It was amazing! I'd come back to this restaurant for this dish alone! I do understand, though, how this can be a very heavy "first meal of the day". The steak itself, cooked to a perfect medium rare (I know some people absolutely say skirt has to be cooked to medium, but I still prefer medium rare), and had excellent flavor! We also ordered the blackened fish tacos, but they weren't anything special. Not bad by any stretch, just nothing great either, kinda flat. Though to be fair, it's hard to go from flavors like ginger, mint, cilantro and pickled mushrooms, in the previous dish, to this and not feel like it's flat. Still, I probably wouldn't reorder the fish tacos. Definitely get the Korean Prime Skirt Steak! We didn't do a boozy brunch, but their coffees were delicious and service as I already stated, was excellent and it's such a gorgeous spot! Our server Donovan was extremely professional, well versed and easy on the eyes too. Their dress code is upscale and casually chic. So I've been to a few of their spots, we have one in Arcadia near where I live so I decided to stop by this one while visiting Coronado Island, turned into a great decision. The server was very knowledgeable about the wines they offered, even describing the vineyard history!
