We made reservations the day before and I'm glad we did because it got busy while we were there. We were seated and greeted quickly. I didn't take a picture of the menu because as the other reviews noted, they have definitely seen better days. Started off with the watermelon cocktail. It was very refreshing for such a hot day. We decided to get a variety of appetizers. We ordered the poke nachos, fried artichokes, the meatballs, and the fried buffalo shrimp, all of which were amazing. Everything we had was made to perfection. Service was decent but not very attentive once we had our food. Would have appreciated the server come by to refill waters and check on us at least once or twice. Overall, I would come back because the food was fantastic.

I would rate this place a 4.5 out of five stars . [[HIGHLIGHT]]To start the location of this place is very nice and the aesthetic inside is very nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . The service was great and we got sat right away which is always a place . The menu had a good amount of options. We got the bruschetta with the burrito for an appetizer but it tasted strange . The balsamic on it was very harsh and the burrata didn't do anything for it . The calamari was pretty good and it had a nice crunch to it . The burger was good however I wish they would have had other options for cheeses . They only had American I believe which is my least forgot cheese and it would have been nice to have cheddar . The salad was really good and fresh the dressing was delicious . So far that I give this place a 4.5 out of 5 .

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful aesthetic with ambient lighting, very cozy not too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the calamari was delicious and crispy had a little kick to it Burger look like a Krabby Patty, very thick. my only concern was the bruschetta being too vinegary and having to aftertaste otherwise the service was immaculate and very attentive.

Everything for us was exceptional. It service was on point. From our waitress to the manager. We sat in the patio and in December the weather was perfect 70°. We arrived in time to listen to a mellow guitarist. Lovely. Ok, on to the food. We started out with perfect calamari, I had the wedge salad with curry chicken soup. My mouth is watering just writing about it. My friends enjoyed BLT, with a caesar salad. When in Palm Desert this is a must try restaurant. You'll want to come back again and again.

We had just got into town and came across The Hideout. They have garage parking (free). It is located upstairs right at the top of the escalator. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is an outside patio with plenty of seating and there was even live music going on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We requested to sit inside. There is a full bar with seating as well. Despite being short staffed, the service was great! Our food came out pretty quickly and our server always checked on us. We ordered truffle fries, buffalo wings, zucchini fries and a margherita pizza. Everything looked delicious and portions were big! We definitely had leftovers. My personal fave was the zucchini fries but all the food was really good! The zucchini fries were thickly sliced and the batter was crisp and both dipping sauces were good. The truffle fries were full of flavor, the wings were tasty (could've been a little more crispy in my opinion) and the margherita pizza was good. Everything was shareable and we still had leftovers (party of 3) Glad we decided to eat here!

I am always on the lookout for a spot that has a large appetizer list and "refreshed" sounding cocktails & ingredients. The Hideout - kitchen + bar - on El Paseo in Palm Desert hit the mark. I've been eyeing this restaurant since they opened as they look the lease on a cute indoor/outdoor space that I used to frequent often when it was another restaurant. Today I found myself in downtown El Paseo, window shopping (saving my money for cocktails) and decided to finally give this spot a go. I love what they've done with the place, the decor and vibes were very relaxed yet classy. The menu here is the best part. I love any place that has a half of a page of their menu dedicated to appetizers. Even better when they all sound so good it's hard to choose. Lily was working today and I so appreciated her sweetness and willingness to give suggestions on the menu. She sold me on some amazing sounding bites so I went with a cocktail + an appetizer + a main (yolo). If there are fried zuchinni on a menu I am getting them! Their lightly batter tempura zuchinni sticks were addicting and I'll have to get them every time. Being a saucy girl I loved that they came with ranch and a chipotle aioli. Heavenly. Cocktails also lived up to my expectations. I had a beautiful pomegranate mojito which was super refreshing and well balanced, not too sweet, which was perfect for sipping on in this sunny-hot desert weather. If you find yourself on El Paseo shopping and want something reasonably priced but still good vibes, definitely check out The Hideout in Palm Desert.

Lovely location nestled in an outdoor promenade / mall. The staff were kind and exceptional. The food was delicious (we had pizza). We literally ordered three pizzas for three people yummy and delicious! The drinks perfect! However, the chairs outside were a little tight (not big boy friendly).

My wife and I had the chance to eat brunch here due to a guest suggestion from the hotel that we were were staying at for our Spring Break vacay. We were pleasantly greeted and immediately seated. Our waitress was nice. Provided drink suggestions when asked. My wife had a Strawberry Moscow mule and I had a basil margarita with muddled Strawberries and cucumbers (My request) and they accommodated!! Yummmmmmyyy both drinks. Our food was superb. Omggg...I do not normally eat all of my food in one sitting, especially a burger. However, I ate that whole 1/2 lb of short rib brisket and chuck blend gladly lol. It was delicious. Not to mention on a bed of butter lettuce and juicy tomatoes...ohhh.. that soft bun. I enjoyed my WHOLE meal. My wife had the chicken parmesan sandwich. She said it was okay. Oh well.. she should have got the burger lol. The fries were good as well. I gladly reccomend this spot. Ppl were ordering the pizza and poke nachos... all of that looked so tasty too. We will visit again when we return. Lol.

The patio was really nice to,sit with mom and puppy. The service was good too for lunch. We loved the pizza crust. It was the best we had in a long time. We liked the Humboldt fog, pear, and arugula pizza topping but next time I will order pepperoni because it's always my Favorite way to have pizza. I really appreciate that you can get a half a salad and it was pretty good with fresh ingredients however, it seemed like something was just a tad off. Maybe it needed more anchovy flavor. We will definitely be back !

Took food to hotel room and the burgers were sooo yummy. Even my kids ate all their food. Staff was helpful as I picked up.

Are there misters on the patio?

Do they have gluten free options like GF bread/buns for the sandwiches?

Yes, you can order ala carte and gluten free.

    Pet friendly on your patio?

Is the restaurant kid friendly? Our kids are older (11&16) but want to be sure it's appropriate. Thank you.

Yes! All ages welcome; great variety of pizzas, burgers, pastas and sandwiches.

Do you have an elevator to the upstairs?

We sure do! We also have an escalator that goes directly to the front area of the Hideout.

Hi.We are so excited about you guys opening.Question for you.Do you have vegan options and if so what are they? I don't see a menu. Thanks!

Hi Troy! Our menu should be up soon, we had really busy soft opening that provided some great insight and we’re using that to finalize our menu. We do have Vegan options like…

After being seated, we waited quite a while before someone finally came over to take our food and drink order. After placing our order, we sat there for well over 30 minutes waiting. Our drinks, which were just an orange juice and a coffee, never arrived, and no one ever came back to check on us or give us an update. We were simply left sitting there with nothing. At that point, we decided to get up, cancel our order, and leave. I completely understand that restaurants can get busy, but there was little communication and we felt completely forgotten. It is really unfortunate because this used to be one of my favorite brunch spots. I hope this was just an off day, but today's service was unacceptable and incredibly disappointing. I truly hope they can turn things around because I would love to enjoy this place again. However, until then I don't think I will be coming back.

Golf course was closed but we were still able to see it. It's a big property. Lots to do. Do like they allow dogs since we had ours. They had multiple pools which we liked. We didn't use it but near one. Neither one looked too busy which was nice. Once we got settled into our room we went to go see Pinz and Pints since they had arcade games, including a duckpin bowling. My son was really excited about that. When we went they had a complimentary drink and candy bar. Drinks they offer are limited but still decent. We did get some food there as well. We got their nachos, Mac and cheese, and chicken tenders for my son. Both the nachos and Mac and cheese were really good. Love nachos and wanted to keep eating them. The next morning we went for breakfast at Pinzimini. They have a buffet option and also have a standard breakfast menu to choose items from. My husband got their brioche French toast and I selected to do their buffet. I know he liked the French toast. I liked the items offered in their buffet. They had a mix of mini pastries, cooked items, fruit. I primarily stuck with their pastries and fruit. Overall it was a nice location. Golf course is big. Hopefully we can go again and experience more of the items they offer.

The resort fee also felt hard to justify. The included amenities did not seem to match the extra charge. The two complimentary drinks were limited to Truly canned drinks or a small pour of hard lemonade or iced tea, which felt underwhelming for a resort of this caliber. We did enjoy the range balls, but as early risers, I would have appreciated access to the spa or pool earlier in the morning. Unfortunately, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The bed sheets had what looked like an oil or grease stain, the closet door was broken, and the overall furnishings and finishes felt worn and dated rather than well maintained. This is very much a family resort, so that is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Even at the adults-only Paloma Pool, children were jumping into the water and splashing guests' drinks while parents appeared unconcerned. That made it difficult to relax in what was supposed to be a peaceful setting. On a positive note, the entrance walkway, lobby, and open-air courtyard are beautiful and make for a strong first impression. Unfortunately, that charm does not extend to the guest rooms, which are clearly in need of a refresh.

It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious.
