I was really excited about this new addition to Natomas! I was hoping for the downtown feel in the neiborhood, but was kinda disappointed. Let me give you the low down. Parents: Not the best place to take your kid. They have high chairs, but no kids menu, no crayons to keep them distracted, and the vibe screams adults only. AND that's ok!!! I was hoping for a spot that you could do date night with minimal kids. Plus, you have so many other options to take the rugrats to: Bella Bru, Jacks, El Burrito, etc. I have so many thoughts on the menu...It's literally doing the MOST. And not in a good way. They have salads.... but Jack's is a couple feet away. They have burgers... but Monsoon Burger is literally next door with better beers on tap. They have large plates... but Bella Bru is right there and the food is amazing! The Bar Bites where you get 2 or 3 tacos/sliders... you can't even mix and match... WTH!!!!!!!??????? Personally, as a consumer, as a Natomas resident, I would love for this place to be THE BAR. Own it!!! Focus on what you're good at!! The drinks here are really good...keep doing that!! You have the word Whiskey on the side of the wall...get better whiskey options. Also, please get proper glassware. I had an amazing old fashioned with a nice block of ice in the cheapest looking plastic glass. Change the menu and focus on bar bites! If you're going to have a limited menu, make that shit hella good! Add a cheese and charcuterie board for the wine!!!! I was hoping for a wine bar feel with cheese and charcuterie board. All the moms and their gfs would be here sooo fast! Don't try to be a smaller version of BJ's! Be THE Natomas BAR!!! The food I tried: 1. Philly cheese steak tater -tots: Great idea, but I think the tater-tots were made in the oven. FRY that shit up like it should be and then put it in the oven and melt the cheese!!! It could have been better. 2. The pork slider: Get those!! Those were actually really tasty!!!! 3. Carnitas tacos: Whack! If you're going to have tacos on your menu, it better be better than the ones you can get next door. We ate 2 out of 3. 4. Chicken Parm Chicken wings: You can't go wrong with chicken wings. I really appreciate that they have different flavors... keep going in that direction! 5. Bread Pudding: AMAZING - best thing I had there next to the Old fashioned!!! Disclaimer: we went during happy hour and left sober, so maybe that had a negative effect on the food. Don't get me wrong, the price was right, but nothing to write home about. The pulled pork slider was more like "pork chunk" slider, and there wasn't much meat on the sandwich. For a happy hour price, still didn't seem like a deal, both in quantity and taste. The pizza was actually a huge size, but taste wise was, sadly, one step up from frozen pizza. Our server was the one saving grace. Not very many keto options, so I got their shareable wings in garlic parm, which pretty good. Service was great--the servers were on point, attentive, and friendly. The place wasn't too busy around 11:30 am but quickly got packed around noon with Kings fans (this was Apr 30th, Kings vs Warriors happening). The rest of their menu items looked appetizing. We had the pork belly tacos and fried pickles this time around and they were delicious! Great place for eats, drinks and also just for watching sports on game days. Been here few times for lunches with the work crew and to watch basketball & football with buddies. Here's to another TGIF It's nice to see the recovery trend from crazy Covid here at The HUB. It almost looks like the old normal with minimum folks in masks. It's a nice local spot in north Natomas, convenient and close to all the other everyday shopping we have to get done. Our server today was awesome , food was pretty good. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich that satisfactorily did the job. My friend ordered the salmon dish which came out looking pretty fancy. I missed my opportunity to take that picture because we were too busy chatting. We did have to send the salmon back because it seemed under cooked towards the center & the waitress took care of that pretty quickly, then came back with a side of cinnamon churro-like donut balls. As a bonus. That was unexpected and a nice surprise. We enjoyed our meal overall and the atmosphere had Friday night tunes on....And we got to catch glimpses of the 49er's beat the Greenbay Packers . Randomly stopped here for lunch today while visiting from out of town. We were originally going somewhere else but this place caught our eye on the way and it sounded good, so we stopped by. The inside is very nice and modern with a rustic touch, and we were seated immediately. There was only one other party in there which was surprising for a weekend at 12:30pm, but it was nice because we received our food very fast. Our server was attentive. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and my dad ordered the turkey pesto. Both were SO GOOD and served hot. The house made ranch was also an 11/10. Even the bartender came to check on us and was great. I understand people's frustrations with slow service but if the servers really go out of their way to apologize and are sincere I think that makes all the difference. I was hesitant to go here due to the low ratings. I'm glad I took the time to read the bad reviews because many of them didn't add up and sounded like this place was worth a try. It was a little busy when we arrived. We were seated immediately and approached for a drink order within a few minutes. Our drinks and food were served in a timely manner and were very good. I informed our server that we were splitting the dish we ordered, and it came split onto two dishes without being asked, which was amazing! Most places roll their eyes when you ask for a knife to split your burger. We were checked on often, our second round of drinks took a little bit longer but they had become pretty busy and immediately apologized that the drinks took long. We sat and talked for a bit after we were done eating and they were super nice about it. The food is great and reasonably priced and the service was excellent! I've waited a bit for this place to settle since they recently opened and from the reviews, improvements were needed with the menu and service. Figured since they've been opened for almost 2 months and the frequent replies left by the business owner regarding yelp reviews that they would've listened to the advices/complaints given and made changes.... but they didn't. They had only one bartender and one waiter on a Thursday night. Service was soooooooooo slow. My waiter initially forgot my Shirley temple and ended giving me a water with a black object floating in it. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and asked him to come back for the rest of the order. 20 mins later, he finally came back to give me my wings. He didn't even asked if we wanted anything else, like another beer or utensils/plates. He literally dropped off the wings and tried to leave, but I stopped him and asked if I can get another water since the one I had was tampered. Then he was on the verge of walking away again while I was still talking to him so I stopped him and said can I order the Hub burger and I asked for my Shirley temple that he forgot. 15 mins passed by and he dropped off my Shirley and burger but forgot my water. Once again, still no utensils or spare napkins. He didn't even asked if we needed anything. He was in a rush to attend other tables and literally neglected ours. Initially I felt bad because he was the only waiter but eventually I got over that. Owners should've known better to have extra staffs because this is the only bar/restaurant opened this late in the neighborhood besides BJ's which is a few miles down. Lemon pepper wings were extremely salty. So freaking salty that if I had water, I would've drank the entire thing within a second. Burger and tots were mediocre. Their food pretty much sucks. And there's way too many food competitors around so they're automatically going to lose in that department. They need to focus on their bar and whiskeys selection. Don't plastered your wall with a huge mural that says WHISKEY and have a little sign that says whiskey if you barely carry them and the ones they do carried are basic. They need to have a display with a ton of whiskeys, expensive/exclusive ones too not just the cheap ones we see often. They have a happy hour barbites section where it's $2 off of select barbites food. And on Thursdays they have $2 off burgers and brews. I asked the waiter is the $2 off burgers is for the main menu, not the barbites menu. He didn't know the answer and he said he'll work with us. I mean, That's cool that he'll "work with us" but how do you not know the answer to that question? I agree with other yelpers; they really need to step up and make major improvements or this place wouldn't be opened for long. read more

The food is overpriced for what you get for. The decor on the other hand, is nice and the place is clean. Staff is friendly and the bartender and waitress were very nice which is the only reason why I am giving an extra star. I got a burger which costed $16 and it was not worth it. For that price, I was expecting a big burger with all your fixins. But nope. Just a small burger with an over cooked under seasoned patty topped with a bacon, pineapple, and a sweet bbq sauce. It did come with tater tots but even those were just mediocre. I mean why pay that price when you can just go next door and get something better for half the cost. The menu is pretty limited.
