    LOBSTER ROLL
    Ian S.

The lobster roll was not a lot of food, as you can see from the photo. The server was nice, but had way too many tables so we did not get our food order in for like 30 minutes after sitting. The tables were also very close to each other so there was not a lot of space for feeling comfortable and it was pretty loud. We probably won't be coming back.

Wow, wow, wow. My dad recommended this place for dinner after he had enjoyed lunch here! At first I am not going to lie- I was turned off because of the four star reviews. (I'm a a 5 star snob- if I'm gonna eat out, it's gonna be worth it ya know?) Those people are crazy. I left The Kitchen American Bistro shooooooketh. This place is phenomenal. Our waiter, Jason, was the best part. He was just cool, chill, his timing was perfect, and his recommendations were spot on. The ambiance reminds me of a tiny spot in NYC- I loved it. The lighting, the deco- it was perfection. We had soooo many things. The Burrata- holy hell, we ate it so fast I had no time to take a pic. The carrots were delectable as were the lamb and pita. We also had the gnocchietta (spelling?), the mussels, AND the rolls to dip in that delicious sauce from the mussels. We topped off our meal with the mouse peanut butter chocolate I don't even know melt in my mouth deliciousness that Jason recommended. I literally can't breathe I am so full- yet so so satisfied. We had the Pinot noir & my dad had a whiskey sour- did not disappoint. This. Place. SLAPS - bravo to yall. And may all waiters/waitresses be as pleasant and kind as Jason!

My friend and I came to The Kitchen American Bistro for Thanksgiving dinner but left with mixed opinions. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted and seated. Service here was top-notch; however, the food quality was inconsistent. I had the roasted turkey, and it was delicious! The gravy perfectly complemented the turkey and cranberry sauce. Taste-wise, the leek and mushroom dressing was excellent; however, it was also unevenly heated, with half of the dressing being cold. My date had the pot pie, and he was not a fan of the food. The pot pie was excessively greasy, with actual pools of grease in the pan. Overall, The Kitchen American Bistro serves food of varying quality. It was not worth the $100 in my opinion.

Amazing place! Everything was delicious. The Kansas strip steak was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The burrata was as good as it gets and the drinks were made perfect. The service was outstanding and ambiance casual but very comfortable. I highly recommend trying this place.

We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was absolutely spectacular. The ambiance, food, service, and wine room event space was perfect. Everyone raved about the carrots and the family style dishes. If you're having a dinner event in Denver, The Kitchen is a fantastic selection.

Wonderful private dinner with a full menu. Too much food. I loved the salad and the steak dinner. Amazing with the chèvre cheesecake.

Nice flavors in all vegetarian dishes. The crispy cauliflower is really good and it counts as one meal. The pasta dish gnochetti was too oily, heavy on pesto so I didn't care for it. The squash is good as well.

We had a group of 6 last week for dinner and had a decent experience. We ordered the burrata with peaches for the table. My sister and I split the mussels, crab fried rice, and the carrots. We ordered bread for the mussels because of the scrumptious sauce the mussels came in. The carrots were tender and seasoned well. The crab fried rice was a little lack luster in my opinion. I kept waiting for the punch of flavor and it never came. Service was good. Overall very enjoyable

My favorite thing that I had was the lavender mocktail. Not only was it pretty to look at but it was actually quite tasty. It was essentially just like a lavender lemonade but unlike some places I've tried, you can actually taste the lavender fragrance which I personally love. We had a variety of items from the menu. I enjoyed the appetizers with the bread and the cheese and spread. The steak was also quite tasty. This is defiantly a higher end restaurant but the service is a good reflection of it. They're very attentive and your dishes do get changed very often.

This was my first time visiting The Kitchen American Bistro, and from the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands. I had the pleasure of having Momi as my server, and I mentioned right away that it was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to order. She didn't miss a beat -- she recommended starting with their signature "Downtown Derby" cocktail. Great call -- it was the perfect way to kick off the night. After that, I decided to fully trust Momi's recommendations and let her guide the entire dinner. First up was the Carrots plate -- I'll admit, I was a little skeptical at first (it's just carrots, right?) -- but when the dish arrived, it completely exceeded my expectations. A fantastic start. Next came the Lamb Arayas -- absolutely a 5 out of 5. Tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Momi then surprised me with Grilled Oysters, which were also very good -- I'd give them a solid 4 out of 5. For the main course, she suggested the Bone Marrow, and let me tell you, it was another knockout -- easily another 5 out of 5 and something I would highly recommend to anyone visiting. To finish, Momi insisted I couldn't leave without trying the Mousse Dome for dessert -- she was absolutely right. The perfect ending to an outstanding evening. Overall, between the food, the service, and the experience, The Kitchen delivered a night to remember. Huge thanks to Momi for making my first visit unforgettable -- I'll definitely be back!

Went here for dessert and after-dinner drinks after having a disastrous meal elsewhere. The staff was incredibly nice, attentive, and this place has a nice outdoor area to sit at. The Mousse Dome was a perfect size (not too big, not too tiny) and tasted great. Husband loved their take on Creme Brûlée. They saved the birthday evening, and I look forward to eating a full meal (and not just dessert) here in the future.

Pretty decent place, came here for lunch. They have outdoor and indoor dining options. Very modern and spacious inside. Service was friendly and attentive. As you come in you see Kimbal Musk's book, and it is his restaurant (brother of Elon Musk). I would say it is not amazing but pretty decent. We had tomato soup, baby lettuces salad, and halal chicken sandwich with fries. We also had two non alcoholic cocktails that were ok. Overall pretty decent but definitely overpriced for what it is.

I love The Kitchen. We used to have one in Fort Collins and I loved coming in for some french fries or a cocktail. We recently went and the summer menu is so fresh and colorful and fun! We started with the Lamb Arayas they were amazing the labneh was so bright and really balanced out the heavier flavors of the filling. Dill and lemon is one of my favorite flavor combos so I was thrilled with the generous amount of lemon zest and fresh pile of dill. The crispy cod was INSANE. Easily both of our favorite plates of the night - it's so crispy and the cod is perfectly flaky melt in your mouth underneath the crust. The chickpeas were also one of my favorites and i've been dying to work on recreating a similar version so I can experience this at home. The cilantro, mint and tzatziki were so playful and bright and the green harissa brought a well balanced heat to the plate. And last but not least we got the garlic fries because how could we not?! They never miss - they are thick cut yet crisp and garlicky. Service is always wonderful- we had a super friendly and helpful server and the ambiance is very pleasant.

The shrimp and corn grits were amazing, and I really loved the aged cheddar mac and cheese. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great location, relaxed vibes, especially on a Sunday evening. The beer was solid, but the food stole the show (mostly across the board). Most of our group was happy with their dishes. I had the steak sandwich with a side salad, and the sandwich was top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich, and this one absolutely hit the spot. It was also pretty large, which made it more of a fork-and-knife situation than a handheld one, but no complaints there. A few people in our party upgraded their sides to the sweet potato fries, which were next level. Perfect balance of crispiness with a hint of sweetness that made them stand out. One miss in the group was the mac and cheese; my sister ordered it and wasn't a fan, felt it was too liquidy/runny and underwhelming compared to everything else we tried. Only minor knock overall was that the kitchen was pretty slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy late on a Sunday evening. Not a dealbreaker, but something worth noting if you're in a hurry. Overall, great first Denver meal; good beer, mostly good food, and a relaxed spot that made for a solid welcome to the city.
