First time at Trick Rider and it was definitely a great experience. The Swarovski crystal horse is…read morebeautiful above the bar area and clearly the centerpiece of the restaurant. The servers are all dressed in a nice Western shirt, and the theming throughout is consistent and very well done. Even the guest napkins look like bandanas which I was super impressed with. I started with the Caesar Salad which had a little too much dressing in my opinion but was fresh and delicious. I got the petit filet as my entree and it had delicious flavor without being too salty which I greatly appreciated. Our table shared the broccolini and the Sweet Potato which were both amazing. I don't normally like Sweet Potatoes but this was pureed so finely that it was like pudding with the charred marshmallow on top. The Lone Star Poire tasted like spicy pear deliciousness in a glass. And the champagne bubble bath had an adorable presentation with the rubber duck floating on top. Overall a really great experience and a lovely hotel.

Broccolini was a snooze. The shrimp appetizer was a hard pass. Ok sized but bland beyond bland. The wedge was ok but I'm not big on sweet flavor and there was a sweetness to the dressing I didn't care for. Service was very good. The BAD - This place is LOUD!!! Crazy LOUD!! And there was hardly anyone there. You could hear the bartenders shaking the martinis. When we mentioned it to our server, she said we should hear it when it's crowded. More bad, gnats. I saw that in a previous review. Definitely annoying but also considered a health hazard according to restaurant inspection dept.

I look forward to getting to use the virtual golf bay sometime, we are just usually on more of a time crunch. The bar makes a great mule. The place has a "hang out" vibe- to me that means tvs to watch, activities while you socialize and have drinks, a well rounded selection of shareable appetizers for if you're just having a few from the bar and playing cornhole. The decor is perfect for the theme and it feels a masculine version of sophisticated and relaxed at the same time.

First we were paying for a 2 hour time slot and we had reservations. The hostess came in rushed us to order food, then she kept coming in trying to close us out early. Then we finally figured out why she said they were closing at 9:00 when the sign had 11:00. So we left I see why the parking lot was empty in a Saturday night. There are other ones in the area we will try. Not coming back here. Then after we were pulling off in our cars another group came in and they opened the place back up for them but we had to leave. Hire staff whom truly want to be there and not just to receive a check!!!

I'm not going to adjust my stars for this, but there are some workers that are NOT attentive, have a bad attitude and/or were texting on their phones. We did tell Nancy about those concerns during times we did not see her working. Food wise - we always get wings! My favorite is buffalo hot. Love them, so good! I like the pepperoni flatbread. The kaboom shrimp appetizer is to die for! Definitely my favorite appetizer. I also have had the southwest salad, I believe that's what I tried twice now. It was delicious as well.

The food was alright, i will skip the entrees next time and just stick with their apps. All the appetizers we had were incredible. The fried zucchini was crispy and flavorful with an amazing smokey sauce that came with it. The boom boom shrimp were cooked perfectly, crispy, and flavorful. However, the wings with dry rubs were bland and very dry, overcooked. The sauced wings had much better flavor but got soggy and were also way overcooked and dry. The burgers were under seasoned as well and the chips and salsa tasted like jarred salsa with cardboard chips. They have a huge variety of seasoned fries, we had the cajun and they were cooked perfectly, seasoned well and delicious. Service was ok, they messed up several drinks orders bringing us drinks we didn't order multiple times that we kept having to send back or talk through with our server. They resolved all the issues we had but it just never seemed very smooth and kept re-occurring which was frustrating and made me question my check but since i never had the chance to look it over since the device they handed me only showed the total. I asked for a printed receipt but never received one. The owner did come by and talk to us and she was very friendly and accommodating. I wish they served more local craft beers but mostly only served generic commercially available beer. Even after ordering a different beer, they kept bringing me the same one. I would only recommend them for their apps.
