Great spot tucked away just off of Colorado and 8th. I have been a tea lover for a long time and Denver has been flush with great coffee places rather than tea places for the time that I've lived here. Steep is a nice addition to the neighborhood. The interior is crisp and clean with good lighting. They have an ample tea selection and - to my delight - many unique tea latte drinks. I ordered the coconut tea latte and it was delicious. Definitely going to head back soon. read more

Name change! Now Kochi Tea! The new owner mentioned they had been here for a year but hadn't changed their Yelp name because of the customers who recognized the Steep name. But it made it slightly harder for me to find since the building has the new logo. I was so pleased with the tea latte selection! They make 2 chai lattes in house, Rooibos and smoked. I opted for the latter, with oat milk. (I recently read an article that made a case for oat milk being the most sustainable milk alternative.) I do wish there was more than one caffinated chai made in house since 'smoked' is not everyone's jam. Happily, my latte was smoky but not overwhelmingly so- and the oat milk was a nice touch. I paid $5.68 for a medium before tip, which was fine since I stayed for 45 min to work on my laptop. I wish every neighborhood had as delightful an alternative to Starbucks! read more

A delightful cafe that focuses on tea, though you can get a decent coffee here too. It's quiet and friendly, a nice place to catch up on emails or chat with a friend. I've enjoyed tea lattes and coffee beverages here. The matcha drinks are good. There's usually not much of a wait, though the tables can get crowded if you're looking to stick around. They use SpotOn for loyalty points, so check in for offers from time to time. read more

Great place to stop in for a drink. Are you tired of mundane latte? Be honest they dont vary by much. This place has tea lattes. And they show off there tea pride. They also serve good coffee drinks but why waste their speciality. They also have rotating samples and allow you to smell the teas with option to purchase loose leaf tea. They have dairy alternatives. Cute place would never know on exterior. I found this place after a yelp search for a local coffee shop. Ambiance was nice, the prices are reasonable, and overall my experience was good. Spicy Chai: The spicy chai latte was entirely too spicy to me. I am a chai lover, but this drink tasted so heavily a black pepper that's it burned the back of my throat. I'm sure the regular chais are good, but this one was too bold for my liking Iced Mocha: this drink was so good. Both my girlfriend and I got the iced mocha, and it was perfect. Not too sweet, not too strong, and just enough milk. I was thoroughly pleased with this drink. Food: they had an assortment of pastries for sale, but I did not eat anything. I'm not sure how long they've been sitting there, but they looks kind of dry I would go back. read more

Come here before you go shopping at Trader Joe's . The staff is really friendly and helpful and the drinks are actually great. Lemon lavender Yerba mate has as much caffeine as coffee and tastes awesome. Their espresso is very good too, I often get an extra strength Americano there. The food is always fresh and delicious too. Happy to have this convenient little coffee shop here. read more

I am torn about this establishment. Hubs wanted some Coffee and some snacks before heading to TJ a couple steps away. Our recent visit was on Sunday August 10th 2014. Time was about 15:50hrs ish. While Hubs read up the Menu from the Menu Board, I go to the Ladies washroom. Yes, this establishment be it the Ladies washroom was kept clean. There are other Patrons having their Tea or Coffee or even "working" or "studying" while we wait for our order to be ready. From what I could recall we ordered these following items from the Menu : * Small Berry Smoothie ($4.95) * Pecan Bar ($2.85) * Small Americano ($2.35) Overall the Service provided by the Staffs are 4 STARS. Hubs said the Baked Good of the Pecan Bar gets 3.5 stars, while his order of Small Americano Coffee is 3 stars. Personally for me, the Small Berry Smoothie gets 3 stars. Yes, it is filled with "GOOD Stuffs" for me - but it does NOT blow me away with WOW-Ness aka "I Need To Drink This Berry Smoothie Coz Its Good For Me". *Sigh* All in all Decent establishment with overall 3.5 STARS, though I cannot deny, we will be back in case Hubs need some other Coffee fix Or Other Baked Goods/Snacks from this establishment. This is my favorite new coffee shop discovery this fall! They make a pumpkin spice latte with real pumpkin and none of the chemicals you find elsewhere and it is very tasty!! I've been back several times and almost tried something else but loved that drink so much that I stuck with it. I'm excited to try some new drinks with the season change. They have some great sounding tea beverages! They have ample workspace and some tasty food options do fuel your work. They have empanadas from Maria Empanada and homemade pop tarts! They also have a really good s'mores cookie. They have parking behind the building and a frequent customer rewards building. read more

Great place to grab tea and coffee in this area. Their maté was warm and flavorful, and their coffee was good. The prices were pretty good as well. All of the folks working there were super friendly, and I felt very welcome there. In terms of tips for going there, it's not a very big place, so it can get kind of crowded with a group larger than four, but I think you could fit more people if you conquer the couch area. Also, don't forget that they have parking in back which is super convenient. read more

A long time barista friend from my home state of Florida told me about Steep so I popped in this morning to get my fix. What a cute little place! I used to live in this neighborhood so glad to see different businesses moving in. They actually have parking, which is a challenge anymore. It is a smaller place but bright and inviting. Plenty of seating and what do you know, lots of outlets! I ordered an iced Americano from the friendly and helpful Laura. Wonderful flavor, not bitter and a bonus is their choice of eco-friendly cups! They have a wall of loose teas to select from along with a case of goodies that were hard to resist! I will definitely be back and suggest you stop by to give it a try. I only wish that we had a wonderful coffee shop like this close to my home in Genesee! read more

Finally checked this amazing place out and loved it! The staff is incredibly sweet and willing to explain the different types of teas and drinks they can prepare. The selection of loose leaf teas is really neat - they've got cards that outlines the geographic origin, ingredients, benefits, caffeine levels, and anti-oxidant benefits. The drinks are DELICIOUS. I tried the earl grey vanilla latte and the oolong coconut beverage - neither disappointed. Genuinely couldn't pick a favorite! Great environment to either meet up with people or work. So a few weeks ago I found myself in Denver. I came and visited my friend and The Kochi Cafe just happened to be nearby. I've come here a couple of times. Once for Oolong Tea and another for a coffee. It's a really nice place. Apparently the owners opened up a shop originally in Bangkok. I found this kind of cool because that's where i'm originally from. But their teas are from all over the world. So, if you do decide to come here, definitely check out their tea menu before hand because there are so many really neat choices! Thank you for the experience :). Side note: There happens to be A LOT of construction in this area. Kind of exciting in my opinion. The part where there are going to be new businesses and people moving or leaving. But for those of you who are sensitive to this environment, keep that in mind. Thanks. read more

Large selection of coffee and tea drinks well made. I had the Golden Chai (turmeric and ginger) that was excellent. I also had the Açaí bowl which contained blueberries, bananas, granola and chia seeds. Very refreshing on a hot Denver morning. I was easily able to find a seat indoors where it was cool. They also have outdoor seating. Will definitely come here again. read more

A cute find! Per an excellent recommendation from the barista, got the hibiscus lavender mate, which was a pick-me-up for a warm August day. It not only takes a pretty picture, but is very flavorful and refreshing. Ample parking in the back, plenty of outlets, free Wifi. Nice place to set up camp to do some work or catch up with a friend. read more

This is hands down my favorite tea house in Denver. I'm not a big coffee drinker so this was heaven. I had the pumpkin chai with almond milk and it was absolutely delicious. It's also made with real pumpkin! They also have great food options. I personally had the vegan empanada which was loaded with veggies in a chimichurri sauce. One thing I do recommend is providing a salsa for the empanadas or the option to purchase one. The ambience is also very relaxing and perfect for a quiet weekend morning. I've been eyeing this place for a while being a regular Trader Joe's shopper. I finally stepped in and ordered one of the most popular drinks - toasted coconut oolong latte! Being a regular tea drinker, I can tell right away that they're serious about their tea with so many options to choose from. They even had free samples of their specialty tea! The oolong latte was perfectly sweetened with a hint of hazelnut syrup complemented by the slightly sweet and nutty flavor of the coconut. This is pure indulgence without the guilt! I wish they didn't have the extra $1 charge for switching to nut milk, which seemed a bit too much. The service was quick and decent. I guess I was expecting more friendly service based on the reviews but the staff was just ok. Overall, this is a tea drinker's heaven with so many options to choose from - latte, chai, sparkling tea, etc. read more

I'm back again to update my review. Everything is still awesome here! I have racked up quite a few loyalty points so a lot of what I ordered today was complimentary. Shh... don't squeal :0 Ok, this little tea shop has been so consistently good over the years that I still talk about it around town. Their selection is fantastic not only for tea, but for coffee, sweets, empanadas (I love the veggie), and fun accessories for your tea drinking experience. I like to support local businesses, this is one. The owner was just in checking on things. They support Bike to Work Day by having a stop every year. They recycle, let them know you want your order for here to get the reusables. They have been humoring me since I started coming here by loaning me a metal spoon to stir my latte as they use disposables. It says a lot that every generation of new employees have gone out of their way for my special request. That is some quality hiring :) And I have been threatening for just as long to bring my own spoon. Today I did! I am going to leave it at this, I am giving my fifth star to this great shop, it's been a long time overdue. read more

When I visited Denver, this was the 2nd coffee shop I went to and this has to be my favorite! The Red Rocks Latte was so freaking good! They added an espresso shot for me because it is decaf but they asked me if I wanted a shot and they willingly did so! They were so sweet and that coffee really is to die for! Highly recommend this place. Oh also, they give you so much coffee for such a great price. read more

You don't know me, but I'll let you in on a secret. I love tea in all forms: hot, iced, and even fermented. Thank goodness for me, they have all forms (fermented refers to kombucha and they carry Upstart, which happens to be my favorite brand). I'll work there. I'll drink tons of tea there. Or I'll get tea leaves to go, which happened today. The employees let me try the lavender hibiscus before I bought two ounces of leaves. What wonderful customer service! I knocked it one star because every so often, the music is much louder than I'd like . It's not often though. read more

Great neighborhood cafe! I ordered a Chai and they asked if I like pumpkin and recommended their season pumpkin spice chai. She told me is gaskets like pumpkin pie is a cup and she was spot on. Close to work - walking distance in fact! Delicious concoctions - both hot and cold. (try the earl grey latte, red rocks latte or their southern sweet tea!) In 2012 our family started The Kochi Tea Company in Bangkok, Thailand. We worked with an Organic Tea Estate in the northern mountains of Thailand to build this tea brand. During this time, we wanted to create a brand of tea that brings people together and allows for us to stop and enjoy the most prized possession we have- each other. The menu leans into lavender lattes, Vietnamese iced coffee, and chai, alongside croissants and breakfast burritos -- a lineup that reflects the shop's AAPI-owned roots and a clear point of view on what coffee can be. The Vietnamese iced coffee in particular earns its reputation: rich, layered, and grounding in a way that a standard cold brew just isn't. I deviated a bit from my normal latte or drip coffee and splurged on their "golden coffee": a beautiful cup of coffee with Nutella, steamed milk, whipped cream, pistachio and sparkles. It was a bit pricey at $12 but I regret absolutely nothing. The only thing keeping me from full marks is that it's not super stroller/baby friendly and these days that's important to me. TLDR: Torani syrups, more milk taste than coffee, and bitter matcha. And these are all traits that they confirmed, at which point I probably should have just walked out. "We don't do homemade syrups because we never could get the hang of it" and "you may want to add a good bit of syrup to the matcha because our matcha is very bitter" - direct quotes from the employees. At least they were honest.

It was a Thursday evening when we arrived at Pho 92, and the restaurant was packed. It was loud, with staff bustling about and patrons enjoying their meals. The aroma of the pho broth was just as I had hoped for a busy restaurant. We waited approximately 10 min for a table. The staff were pretty efficient and looked to have a good system going for bussing tables. Hailing from CA, I am no stranger to good pho, and this place hit the spot. I'm so glad I decided to get the regular instead of the large, because wow those portion sizes were indeed huge. My husband made the "mistake" of ordering the combination vermicelli bowl, and it came packed with tender proteins and crispy egg rolls. That just meant for some delicious leftovers (that actually reheated perfectly). The pho broth was as clear as I had imagined from looking at other patrons' photos. It still had a good depth of flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had been a long travel day for us, so I didn't want oily soup. (Sometimes I do enjoy rich, oilier pho broth, but not that night.) The pho came with a plethora of herbs, which I of course used all of. Be warned that their chili oil is very spicy, which I accidentally put too much of without first trying (oops). I generally don't go to the same spot twice during a trip, as I enjoy trying out different local businesses, but Pho 92 would have been a spot I'd return to again if we had had the time and if I had wanted pho again. Their menu is huge, so there are plenty of dishes to choose from to satisfy your cravings, whatever those might be for any given day. We will definitely be back the next time we visit CO!
