Cute interior with a super artsy vibe and the staff were quick to help out and answer any questions about the menu. We just happened to catch their brunch menu, and everything was delicious. The portions are just enough to fill you up without being intimidating, and are well worth the price. My party got the salad (actually very well topped and bigger than expected), croque madame (hearty bread that filled them up fast), and the quiche of the day. The quiche was the star! Checked out The Kosmos Gastropub, a very hidden eclectic eatery. A cool concept with classic sandwiches. My top picks were the Steak Sandwich & Afghan Rice. The Steak Sandwich with mushrooms had all the right components of a great meat lovers creation. Just a punch of more flavor and it's a heartbreaker! Another wonderful creative dish was the Afghan rice a savory blend of cumin, cardamom, cinnamon and clove sautéed with carrots, topped with Almonds & golden raisins who the heck needs a Doctor when you have this dish! Must be a place to eat after having a few alcoholic drinks. We were there for lunch, according to the waitress we were the only ticket in the kitchen. It took 1/2 hour for a chicken sandwich and a steak sandwich. The chicken was about half the size of the small bun and the steak was the cheapest cut of beef I've ever had and a little too rare as the bun soaked up all of the blood, not a pleasant sight. The fries were store bought/frozen crinkle fries and a "to go drink" is a kid's sized cup. The decor would have been better empty as everything looked dirty and covered in lint. Needless to say, I won't go back. AND the prices were hideous for cheap food. If you don't like or know good food, you will be the one to give this place a good review. read more

How have I never heard of this place? What a cool place to go eat! Great atmosphere, service and food! It's on 6th street in an industrial area so unless you work downtown or somewhere in this area it is not somewhere you will drive by. They are known for their burgers which we didn't have but will try next time. We tried a fried chicken sandwich, afghan rice with grilled chicken and fried pickles. They were delicious! They don't have a huge menu but enough that you can get meat, chicken, fish and vegetarian meals. They also have beer and wine selections which were perfect for us. Really enjoyed talking to one of the owners before we left and he is obviously passionate about this restaurant and it shows when you eat there. They have entertainment sometimes and an outside patio which would be great when the weather is nice. Definitely check out this place; it's yummy and fun! read more

When my friends ask me where to get a great burger in ABQ? I tell them they NEED to try Kosmos! Their 'build your own' burger is one the best I have had in a long time and the combinations are endless! You can also customize other items on the menu, I got the steak sandwich the last time I went and the owner asked if I liked onions, mushrooms or swiss cheese and of course I said yes to all three! It also comes with a house made chimichurri sauce that was out of this world (pun intended)! Next up, the house made fried pickles. If you are a fan of fried pickles you HAVE to try these. They are fresh, tangy and a little bit spicy. Plus they come with home made green chile aioli for dipping. The dessert always depends on what the chef felt like whipping up that day, and I got lucky enough to try the amazing apple pie with homemade vanilla ice cream. IT CHANGED ME. If you aren't convinced to try this place yet, I could go on! The service is killer, everyone is extremely nice and helpful, because they truly want you to enjoy your experience and your meal. The owners are always around and are more than happy to chat and make awesome recommendations. The building alone is a work of art, and houses SO many incredible art pieces/installations, you find something new and interesting to look at every time you are there! The building also serves as studio space for many local ABQ artists, so rad! Last but not least they have great patio seating if you want to bring your dog and their parking lot is huge! I must have driven by this place at least a dozen times and never knew it was a restaurant. The atmosphere is fun, unique, and can give you a Meow Wolf vibe. There is lots of artwork in and outside of the restaurant, which makes the experience that much better. The owner Jerry was very friendly, came by and chatted for a while. I can really appreciate that all the meat they use is local and try their best to use all local and fresh ingredients. That is a win in my book! The food is delish! One of the best blue cheese burgers I've had in a while. The fried pickles are to die for, I couldn't get enough of them. Right when I thought my tummy couldn't handle more, then came the dessert menu. My husband and I couldn't resist the apple pie. It was outstanding. This place is a must try. What a great find, I actually almost drove by it From the outside it looks like an old warehouse until you start walking to the front door and see the cool sculptures. The decor on the inside is really cool, I don't know who designed it but they did a great job! It very unique and eclectic. I kept looking around and smiling. Our server was very nice, it happened to be her first day on the job, and did a great job. Her name was Devin and I suggest asking for her when you dine there. My patient and I both had a beer and he ordered the chicken sandwich which was very good and crispy and I had the fish sandwich which I really enjoyed. We've been here several times and the food and service have been great. It is such a funky place! I really like it. The parking lot is dirt and the place looks like a warehouse, but to me, that adds to the whole experience. It's like you've found a secret place. The art out front is fun and funky too. Very eclectic and cool interior. The entrance and surrounding exterior is under construction which makes it a little difficult to enter the restaurant. However it's worth the effort to look past the construction zone. For lunch we had fried pickles for an appetizer and they were very good. We then had a veggie burger for the entree. It had the consistency of falafel, in a good way, because of the crunchy outer crust with a softer inside. The burger was very good. The service was outstanding. read more

I heard this place had the best burgers in town so wanted to give it a try! We looked at their website and said they were open on Tuesdays. Went down there to find it closed which was a big disappointment! (They have since fixed their website hours) we drove down there again and It was a really good burger and the spudnik fries are a must try! Tried the fish n chips the next time I went in and the fish was cooked good and the crust was crispy but it just lacked flavor. The tarter sauce was good and helped but the fish was a let down. The chicken sandwich was mostly breading, no real seasonings in the breading either. The steak sandwich was good. It came out wrong the first time. No big deal, it was fixed. The fried pickles were okay, over breaded again. The spudunks were slightly underdone and could have used just a tad longer cooking. The Afgan rice wasn't something I would ever eat again.
