    It's going down.

It was good. A little pricey, but not a bad total investment for a huge portion of poutine and a double smash burger. The smash burger tasted just like an In N Out, just crispier and richer. The poutine was large, the gravy was well-spiced albeit on the salty side, and a generous amount of cheese curds. It was more than I could finish, in a good way. All in all, I would come back. I would just need to space out my visits to rest my heart and my wallet.

We got a kids smashed burger, braised beef poutine, and cheeseburger eggrolls. My daughter loved the kids Smashburger. Although it was over priced for a small kids burger. The braised beef was also very good, but the cheeseburger egg rolls were lackluster and also overpriced. While the food was overall good, the wait was a little ridiculous. It took 20 minutes for us to get the food. They must have prepared the protein first because that was just like warm by the time my order was ready.

10/10 the spicy fish sandwich was soooo good. It was flavorful, just enough spicy in the sauce and it came out HOT, crispy. Everything about it was great. Sad it will discontinued I hope they bring it back. This was my first time at the Kroft. The service was really friendly and pretty fast.

This is the closest I can get to authentic poutine from Canada! The texture of the fries are always perfect and the gravy is never overly salty. The cheese curds melt just fine and the portions are perfect for a mid-day snack. I've never personally tried the other "elevated" or loaded poutine options, but the Classic Poutine never steers me wrong!

I really liked the porchetta sandwich I had here! Nice quantity of pork and very flavorful! You can get it as a combo as well, but I just had the sandwich. This is a cute food court area at the LBX in Long Beach with a lot of seating and a variety of places to eat. Service was good.

This is my first time at the LBX LOCATION! The service was fast and friendly, with great menu suggestions! They have stubborn soda on tap! My suggestion mix 25% Dr. Pepper and the Stubborn Cherry ! Anyway I ordered the Birria Poutine fries!!! Will not be disappointed!!!

Went here with my sister for the first time and recommended to me this wagyu burger place and it hits. I just got whatever she got so I got the spicy jack cheeseburger. It was bangin. My favorite part is probably the spice and bacon in its, but the everything else was spot on. Fries are nice and crispy. Service was helpful and u could free refills too. Gonna try something else next time

    "Leftover" Poutine

It's been a little while since I've been to The Kroft, but wow have they upgraded their menu! I was honestly really impressed with the food and will be definitely coming back again soon! During the holidays, they have a "Leftover" Sandwich and Poutine that truly feel like a whole Thanksgiving feast packed into one sandwich/fries! The sandwich has turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, fried onions, arugula, turkey gravy, and garlic mayo on ciabatta bread. The "Leftover" Poutine is similar but has french fries, cheese curds, and parsley instead of the arugula and garlic mayo. A lot of ingredients in one, but they all work well together! They usually offer it during the last couple of months of the year. They also have a new French Onion Smash Burger which is amazing! My new favorite item here! It has two wagyu beef patties, provolone cheese, grilled onions, garlic mayo, and French onion spread on a parmesan crusted brioche bun. And the best part is, it's served with a side of au just for dipping! It's so yummy! All of their smash burgers are good, but I think this one is the best! In terms of sandwiches, I'm also a fan of their Chicken Parmesan Sandwich as well! Their poutines are always a classic and what put them on the map. I love that they have a lot of options to choose from--I think they usually have around 10 or 11 different ones to choose from. This location is located inside of Long Beach Exchange (LBX), so once you get your food, you find a table and sit where you want. When you enter the main entrance, they're in the left hand corner, so they're pretty easy to find!

This place is the underrated lunch gem of Long Beach. I think the Kroft gets lost in the noise of The Hangar, but it is genuinely so good. I came specifically for this French Onion Soup Dip Burger, which was gloriously messy, indulgent, and delicious. It came with a side of au jus as well. I have tried a large portion of the Kroft's sandwiches and poutine and they are all great. I would highly recommend this spot out of all of the options at The Hangar LBX.

This is located inside The Hangar. The ambiance is somewhat noisy because its a food court, and there is music playing out of their sound systems. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich and a soda. The weight of the sandwich was a hefty one. There was so much cheese and sauce! The chicken was extreme crispy, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The sauce and cheese complimented the chicken! it was the best sandwich ive ever had. Service was nice at the ordering station and was kind enough to get me a cup for water. They ask for your name and you will pick up the food when its ready. Their craft soda is located in the back of their area and its Pepsi products. Ive been told there is never anything bad to eat at The Kroft. You can never go wrong with anything you order. My husband got their onion burger that came with some au just. Didnt get a photo because he devoured it on the spot! He also said it was just right and he wants to come back and try other items on their menu!

Stopped by The Kroft at LBX and decided to try their smash burger. It had crispy edges, a flavorful sauce, and perfectly melted cheese. Simple, satisfying, and definitely worth trying if you're craving a good burger at LBX.

    Loco Moco Poutine
    Melanie N.

Got the loco moco poutine and enjoyed the flavor of the meal. It has a hamburger patty with crispy onions, fried egg and gravy with cheese curds. Not too salty and bold flavors. Portion was fair for $14, quite shareable. Service is fine, there's quality in the food, but takes a while to receive the food. Ambiance is a quick pick up and go situation...lots of seating indoors and outdoors, but does fill up quickly if it's a busy day

    Beef Melt
    Ty D.

I was in the area during the lunch hour and decided to check out The Kroft located at The Hangar food (aka LBX) hall in Long Beach. The menu consists of a few specialty sandwiches including a smash burger and also various poutines and loaded fries. I decided on the Braised Beef Melt which is braised beef, jack cheese, pickled red onions, on a toasted ciabatta roll along with an order of fries. They make the sandwiches fresh upon your order. It took about a good 15 minutes to get my order. The beef melt didn't diappoint. The beef was flavorful & tender and loved the pickled red onion on the sandwich. The fries were crisp and tender but slightly overly salted for my taste. It was a very satisfying and filling lunch. I'd definitely come back and try the poutine on my next visit. Service was friendly and helpful in making my decision on what to order.

The pineapple added to what's basically a Cuban style sandwich sounds different at first, but it works perfectly. The balance of sweet, savory, crispy, and smoky was spot on. The server (owner?) asked if we wanted cheese and Cole slaw, and that's how we got it. The sandwich was big enough to share so if the sandwich seems pricey, consider sharing. Although on a hungry day, I could probably eat it all with no problem. Dilly's has a fairly decent amount of craft beers on draft. I wasn't in a beer-drinking mood so I didn't look too closely at the list. I love it when restaurants support local brewers, and this looks like the kind of place that would do just that.

Heard about Dilly's Sandwiches having the most unique rotating set of beers on tap in Long Beach,…read moreso had to come to try it. The taste portions were very reasonably priced, allowing to create your own flight (or two). Specifically scheduled an early afternoon to come to the Lakewood Village neighborhood of East Long Beach. My wife found an angled parking spot right in front. It wasn't too crowded inside and the four of us found easy, comfortable seating in the brightly decorated dining room. One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. I liked this beer very much. - A Place Like Home [Pure Project] ($3) - Nitro poured Extra Special Bitter. - Double Negative [Grimm] ($4) - Imperial Stout, which I really enjoyed. - Amongst Friends [Sante Adairius] ($4) - a cherry saison, unusual and was glad to sample. A lot of work was put into creating this flight, with the careful pours and markings to make sure I knew what was what. I really appreciated the opportunity to sample all of these on-tap. In terms of the food, the group as a whole really liked them, though I guess I wasn't as impressed with my two samples, mainly because it used non-descript deli meat in OK quantities, heating them up when necessary. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.
