Fudge Brownie - so rich and delicious
    Rich C.

There is a newly renovated restaurant located at 22 North Main Street in New Hope PA called The Landing and it is stunning. I remember walking past this place in the summer a while ago and they would be slinging beer and fried bar food to crowds of motorcyclists on their outside patio. The patio still exists but everything has turned upscale. The inside is spacious with a large bar and plenty of seating and their kitchen is open for all to see. It is decorated exquisitely. As you would expect, the prices have gone up as well. We had Easter lunch at The Landing and received a very limited menu. four entrees were $75.00 each and the NY Strip steak was an additional $15.00. There was a lamb entrée, a vegetarian choice, salmon or chicken. I have always said that a eatery would be better only offering a few dishes that are great rather than a diner length menu that is all mediocre. Our party ordered two chickens, a salmon and a lamb. Everyone enjoyed there meal very much. We also has a bottle of wine which was obscenely marked up in price. Carrot cake or fudge brownie rounded out the affair and they rocked. The servers and hosts were on point. I would say that The Landing might be a place for a special occasion. Any more often than that and I would become broke. They are first rate but you pay for that.

A View to kill...and good to put you to sleep. This is place with a great view as you sit along the Delaware River. Every table outside has a great view. It's lively and has friendly staff. Parking is available on the street and in lots but beware that weekends can be a bit of a challenge without patience. Now the food. Meh. So average that you wonder if an appetizer of nachos is worth $20. I can tell you what's not worth $16...the "Mexican shrimp cocktail". Soggy shrimp and a ketchupy taste. No bueno. The rest of the menu is the same. Some tasty things but not worth what you're paying. So come here for the great craft beer list and the views and ...he'll..it's outdoors! Great for groups/meeting up with friends.

Piece of the fig and goat cheese flatbread

The Landing boasts some really nice views of the river, which is what drew us here. We sat on the patio and started out with the fig and goat cheese flatbread. It was good but a good portion of it was bare- I would've expected the toppings to have been more generous for $13. For mains, we tried the turkey BLT, hot pastrami, muffuletta and ahi tuna sandwich. Everything was average- good, but nothing to write home about. It's a nice place to sit outside and have a drink, but next time I would probably dine elsewhere.

White napkin used to gently wipe the bar countertop...

We sat at the bar, and I do recognize that the bar is essentially an outdoor bar, the bar itself was sticky and grimy - had not been wiped down for quite some time. The cobwebs in the skylight (above the bar service area) had been there for quite a while, and in my opinion - shouldn't get that out of control. The bartenders or bus help should be wiping the bar down, general maintenance (like cobweb removal from a service / prep area) is Management's / Owner's responsibility. It was a pretty slow afternoon - there should have been more help behind the bar. Food was mediocre - hers came out hot, mine cold. Your experience may vary!

It was opening day here with the new management and I couldn't be happier. The service was amazing. The food was divine! I had the tacos and it was some of the best green chili and red sauce with these sweet peppers that really complimented the dish. The Turkey BLT my sister had was also very tasty. The ambiance is of course amazing being right on the water. I highly recommend.

If you are in the mood to have brunch with friends that also includes beautiful views, this is the place to be! In midst of Covid-19 they have great outdoor dining, with seating under large umbrellas and a beautiful view of the New Hope bridge. Their menu is full of many options from appetizers to desserts but it is a little pricey. The Crab Fondue is a delicious appetizer to share with friends. My friends an I ordered three different entrees that were displayed beautifully and satisfying. The staff were very welcoming and met our every need. They were cautious of making sure everyone was satisfied and insisting that we all stay safe and healthy with signs posted throughout the area. Looking forward to more visits to Fred's breakfast and trying more items from the menu!

Excellent views while seated outside! We got a salad that was on the special menu. Wonderful! The meat and cheese board was good too: perfect portion size for two; nice assortment. Cocktails were fine. Service was average. I'd absolutely go there again and would recommend it, especially if you can sit outside.

Great spot overlooking the river. Nice beer and drink selection. Food was good, service was great. Selection of food and drink specials daily.

The poutine fries had this delectable salty gravy and a good amount of meat and cheese. The shrimp tacos tasted bright and fresh. Everything was delicious. Sorry we were so hungry and I forgot to take pictures! I ordered a Blood Orange margarita, which was strong but well balanced and tasted like it was made with fresh juice--it made an excellent impression! I hate margaritas made with sweet and sour mix, and I'm pretty picky since I make my own juice mix when I make margaritas at home. I was like, "There drink game is next level." So I felt confident ordering the Strawberry Rosemary 75--but it was a big let down. It had a very chemical taste reminding me of lemon all-purpose cleaner. Usually I like gin cocktails but I didn't care for the flavor combo with this one. I hate wasting food, but I could barely take a sip without gagging. It says on the menu that it's a house favorite --and that is deceiving! Lol. The service was fantastic. Food came out in perfect timing. Our server clearly saw we were enjoying ourselves and did not rush us, and instead paced our meal well. I wish I could remember his name--but he was a lovely gentleman working 5/22. We loved the atmosphere with the plants. We would totally come back! Keep up the great work!

Our server, Amir, delivered outstanding service, and the host made us feel particularly valued. The entire staff was incredibly welcoming, and the cuisine was exceptional, we ordered the tuna poke with avocado & creamy togarashi in a spicy vinaigrette, prime NY strip steak entree with housecut fries, the grilled octopus appetizer which was plated beautifully and was cooked to perfection with a nice char and tender center. The surf & turf was a very generous portion of short ribs and sea scallops noodles with wild mushrooms in a truffle cream sauce. We also had the sesame and panko crusted tuna entee with wasabi "air" foam. We appreciate the wonderful experience, outside table surrounded by blooming seasonal flowers and plants. For dessert had chocolate creme brulle, and strawberry sorbet. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted amazing. Perhaps this review is a bit belated, but it's never unnecessary to mentally return back to a trip…read more(from a few months ago) to ensure I close out my reviews from that time with one more stellar write up. Herein lies the five stars of Stella of New Hope which was a superb dinner for my wife and I on what was a lovely April night. This evening of early April was nice enough to warrant eating outside (albeit with the help of some heat lamps) on Stella's deck area overlooking the Delaware River. It's quite a calming view and definitely set the mood of the night. What also helped was some fabulous service as our waiter was kind, attentive, and gave a few great suggestions for the menu. After getting a couple of refreshing drinks (the wife did a margarita while I had the bourbon-based Stella Spritz) we headed down the food path. Those aforementioned menu suggestions started playing a role here as the waiter suggested the house-made bread, but told us we can get the brown pumpkin sage butter that's usually on top of said bread on the side (a fantastic idea, especially because my wife can be a little iffy with pumpkin/sage). Now it was a great thing to have that butter for dipping, but dang I wish the Delaware River was filled with it because that was some good spread! The wife even enjoyed it, and the flavors really complimented the warm, fluffy brioche type loaf that we consumed. For the main course, my wife got what can only be described as every onion ever (more on that in a sec), while I took the waiter advice one more time and got something I don't normally have, hence why I went for the house-made lobster ravioli. Wow were these tender morsels exquisitely delicious. The butter, lemon, and truffle found in the sauce added such flavorful notes. Speaking of flavors, it's onion time! My wife ordered the French onion pasta which literally lists four or five different kinds of onions in its menu description and really creates a wild punch on the palate. It was a little rich and perhaps overpowering for my wife to finish on her own (I can understand how it might be a bit heavy to attack for one person), but I helped to get her through most of the meal and I can't say I didn't love the onion life. Maybe it's not for everyone, but if you enjoy a good onion, get this. Overall, Stella of New Hope is a wonderful spot to dine at. There are great views, lovely service, delightful drinks, and some fantastic food worth experiencing. Not the cheapest meal I've ever had, but well worth every dollar spent. I can't say when I'll be back to New Hope, but it's not that far from where I live so there's always a chance I'll return. And if I do, Stella will be on my mind.

We sat outside, which was beautiful and made for such a romantic evening. Our waitress was Estella, the chef's wife, and she was wonderful. She and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive. The service was amazing without ever feeling overly formal. Between the music, the ambience, the outdoor setting, and the hospitality, we felt comfortable and welcomed the entire evening. And the food was marvelous! We started with two appetizers: a goat cheese dish served over a tomato preparation and an heirloom tomato salad. Both were incredibly fresh and delicious. For our entrées, I had the lobster served over puff pastry, which was excellent, and my wife had the wild boar with steamed carrots and a wonderfully creamy root-vegetable purée. Everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Dessert may have been the highlight! We shared a strawberry-and-cream dessert served over a little cake, as well as the chocolate mousse cake, which was absolutely divine. If you come here, order the chocolate dessert. It was to die for! The chef clearly has a special talent for desserts and chocolate in addition to the fantastic savory dishes coming out of the kitchen. The outdoor seating is especially charming. The tables we saw outside were all set up for two, right along the sidewalk. You can watch people strolling through Lambertville while you eat, which gives it a wonderful little city-like feel, but on a much smaller, more intimate scale. There is also additional seating inside. Overall, this was an A+ date-night experience. Wonderful food, beautiful ambience, great music, exceptional service, and genuinely friendly people. They do a great job, impeccable service, and great food bursting with flavor, it's quiet and located in an artsy area of Lambertville. They will also be expanding into a Vrbo or Airbnb as the owners purchased the building. The current dining room has nine tables and is surrounded by artwork done by Estella who one of the owners. One advantage is that this a BYOB so you can bring any wine you want and will obviously save on cost. It was three of us and for starters we had the Sourland Spring Mix salad, the Homemade Tortellini with Black Truffle Cream sauce that was amazing. We also had the Saiteed Tian of Crab, Aioli which has been a staple on the menu for years. For entrees we had the Sautéed Rouget Barbet with Tuscan Bean Salad, Apple Salsa, the Seared Faro Island Wild Salmon and the Rack of Lamb. For desert we had the apple and walnut pie with vanilla ice cream, their famous profiteroles, and their special desert which was amazing chocolate mousse of some sort. I would highly recommend them for an enjoyable time that has never disappointed me. One tip is to make a reservation as you may not have a chance as a walk in.
