Fun and organized light show. The music is upbeat and the light displays are up to date designs that are fun to see. They have upgraded snacks and things go buy if you are interested.

I am tempted to knock off a star only because going in the worker was extremely rude and yelled at my friend who was driving in. We were in a line to go in and he was directing traffic and he looked right at us so we went but he was yelling at the other car to go so we almost hit each other then he proceeded to yell at my friend and screamed at her. Our whole van load was shocked at how rude he was and grouchy being a worker that night. So that dampened our mood a bit going in. I really wanted to complain when we went into to show them our passes but didn't want to make a scene. They were nice there. BUT I have to mention how rude that one worker was man so unacceptable for a business especially one during Christmas! I am still being generous on the stars because it is one of our favorite light shows any of us have been on. It matches the music and it was so pretty. And colorful and cute. And tons of lights. So totally was so good. Was it worth the $40/$50 per car? Not sure. Only because our friend group split it was it worth worth but if it's a family not sure. But we enjoyed it immensely esp because we women were being goofy and singing along the whole time and it was a long trail and that night practically no wait so it was special. I recommended it to others too so this year we had a good ole time! Again please teach your workers to have better attitudes and kinder spirits. He was the rudest! Just not ok!

New to Round Rock, A festive, electric, cute drive-thru light show, was one easy to do. They are open daily between November 1st and January 5th, starting from 5:30 pm. Rain or shine. At the parking lot of Dell Diamond stadium. Our visit on a Thursday evening at 6:15 pm was not crowded as expected. We even questioned if they were open as it was so dark. The entrance was hard to find, our usual entrance from the bbq place was closed off. You have to take 79 and then head West when you're coming from East. There are barely noticeable 2 pillars if you go slow enough. There is a sign but again too dark and short notice coming from highway 79. Once in, they scan your purchased ticket/ QR code and then you'll follow the way. Lots of empty space before reaching entrance and start, allowing waiting times for cars without blocking the road and a gradual entrance. The light show is cute and definitely had set ups I haven't seen at other light shows. I was happy to find something to take my ill mother to, and to please her eyes and show her the joys of the season. It deserves another try. I do recommend this if you need something simple, quick and festive with your family. Purchase the tickets online, they will cost more at the gate. The ticket is per vehicle, not per person. Have your QR ready and then simply go with the flow. It would have been better if they actually had music to complement the festive scene, but It did NOT have music. It was just simply drive thru light tunnels and pleasing the eye for a little of a mile. I hope they add music, or get the music working for others soon. The value of this event needs to be reviewed. Our quick visit was $46 plus. I hope they will with on the pointers and do better next time.

$54 to zig zag around a parking lot?? What a joke. Go to neighborhoods around the area that coordinate lights and skip this.

An outstanding experience!…read more My family and I came for a birthday celebration and had an AMAZING time! Check-in was easy and effortless with the kiosk. Even our bracelets printed at the same time from the kiosk. The room was spacious and clean, located halfway down the hallway, which we loved because we avoided the elevator traffic noise. The food was very pricey and pretty basic. Once we ate, we headed to the park, which was an experience! The lazy river was a nice pace and the temperature was perfect. The rides were lots of fun and the lines weren't long at all. We also explored the adults only area, which was the cherry on top. It was quiet and the drinks were excellent. Overall we LOVED our experience and can't wait to return.

Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly frustrating and disorganized. Our point of contact was Jeselle Corpuz. For over a month, we were repeatedly told by Jeselle they were "working on our group rate," yet they still expected our group to commit to staying there without knowing the actual cost. We would receive emails at the end of the business day with no new information -- only that they were still working on it. Keep in mind, this was coming from the manager of group sales. We emailed several times and rarely received responses. We also left multiple voice messages and never received callbacks. We even contacted corporate, only to be referred back to the same person who had been unhelpful throughout the process. Communication was slow, unclear, and lacked professionalism. After waiting weeks with no concrete answers, we finally decided to move our troop's trip elsewhere. We ended up booking another waterpark, reserving a different hotel, and even adding another group activity -- all with far better customer service and much quicker responses. It was especially disappointing because our Girl Scouts voted for this as their end-of-year trip. We were prepared to bring not only the girls, but also their families -- which would have meant a very large group and significant business for Kalahari. Unfortunately, the lack of competence, communication, and ability to provide even basic information made it impossible to move forward. In my 10 years of planning end-of-year troop trips, this is the first time we have been unable to give the girls the trip they requested and voted on. Over the years, we've successfully planned trips to Great Wolf Lodge, Epic Waters, Jellystone, SeaWorld, the Fort Worth Zoo, NASA, Moody Gardens, and many other destinations, and we have never experienced such a frustrating and poorly managed booking process as we did with Kalahari.

They have dozens of picnic tables that you can have a snack on, and for only four bucks for a ten minute train, maybe fifteen minute train ride, it is a steal. I love the fact that they're trained their playground and their picnic tables are all on their trees. So you're not in the sun at all during the summer, when you come out next to a park that has soccer about basketballs, tennis goals. All kinds of stuff to do around you. After you're done, there is a playground for the kids and a nice "western town" area for photos. There are more attractions like a little train for kids but it was shut down so I don't know if they're working on it or what. Don't get your expectations up for the sights on the train ride - it's not much. A soccer field and then it's just dry brush / trees. One of the most disappointing elements was that there was no info given on the ride (saw speakers so the conductor could have talked). According to their website, the train takes you through the hideout of Sam Bass (outlaw that died in Round Rock) so that would have been cool to hear about. Overall, kids love trains so this is a good way to entertain them.

So, the 3 stars is for the activities experience and not the allergen food experience. If I did rate the food experience, it would have been negative stars, but because I don't expect Austin's to fix it, I am not factoring that into the rating I am giving them. But, I want to write the review to let other gluten free patrons know not to expect any precautions to be taken when preparing the GF pizza. My daughter is 17 and asked for the GF pizza and asked if the cook could change their gloves. The lady said no and she also told my daughter it didn't matter anyway because they would not use foil under the pizza or a clean slicer. So the pizza may as well have been a regular one with that much cross-contamination. The other reviews I saw on yelp about the GF experience made us hopeful that Austin's actually tried. But, that's not the case at all. I have always told my daughter that celiac disease is her cross to bear and not to expect others to cater to her needs. It's always very refreshing to find restaurants that are 100% GF or that take precautions because we know how special that is, but for those that don't, we can't fault them for it because it's not anyone's duty to care for her but us. So, those are places we just don't go to. So, activities are 3 stars, they are average. And food, I did not rate. Those with celiac, eat before you go is my advice. They have huge signs outside that outside food and drink are not allowed. I don't know if they would allow anything to be taken in for those with allergies. It wasn't worth it for us to ask. My daughter went with a group and it was completely paid for, but we would never go back if we had to pay for it.

The salad bar alone is enough reason for me to go back to eat there. Everything was fresh and crisp on the salad bar. The pizzas and other food were replenish non-stop and it was always hot and fresh. They always had cups, ice, and drinks available. I am serious. I'm picky and I can't think of something to complain about here. The rides are always a hit with the kids. Mine will spend 8 or 9 hours there - happily. My husband joked that it should be a place for summer camps. 4 of our group didn't want the buffet and got burgers and taquitos from the restaurant. my husband is quite the food snob and said that the burger was awesome and gave me a bite. I agreed. The bacon was like a thick cut slab of pork belly. If I didn't enjoy the salad bar so much I would definitely get the burger, but I can have the best of both worlds and eat some of his next time. Their inside arcade has so many options and the games all work. I'm just so grateful that this place exists. Austin's management - you're doing an incredible job. We are fans!

They have lockers to store belongings, as well as clean bathrooms and changing rooms onsite. They also offer a variety of food choices which are pretty good & reasonably priced. Very few crowds if you arrive right at opening time. I was happy to see there were no lines at all for the slides. They open a half hour early for season pass members; general admission is 11am.
