The place for a good, cheap breakfast when in Tallahassee. Good food, good service. dine in for order to go.

I had 'lunchbox special breakfast' and my friend has the 'corned beef hash' (see photos for sides). The food was really good! The ambiance is better than most breakfast places, if you enjoy watching the street and sitting outside, there's no better spot than this. It might be harder to recommend for the summer months, but around March-April, the outdoor seating is quite pleasant. The service was a bit slow, but understandable given the crowd.

The service was great. Food was delicious and the coffee was perfect. Not weak and very hot. The guy and the girl that were waiting on the patrons were great. The place could use a little sweeping but I get that like in most place, they are short on staff.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a real gem! It's unfortunate and annoying that people are leaving poor reviews for things that are completely out of the restaurants control, like door dash delivery drivers or the nearby parking. My partner and I showed up right at 6:30 when they opened, and had our choice of table. our service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious. We both got our own omelets and then a stack of blueberry pancakes to share. We got orange juice and iced coffee to drink. Give them a try, and it seems like a good idea to get there early, if you don't want to wait.

I have been enjoying this establishment since it opened in 1999. This is your hometown, super comfortable place to get a bite. The prices are so great. The food is even better. Today, I ordered the short stack regular, short stack with chocolate chips, two egg breakfasts with Hash browns and toast, and the special with two eggs, bacon, hash Browns, and toast. The server was really friendly and loved the conversations going with all her regulars. The diner is an old gas station and the owner has decorated it with old school lunchboxes. From the outside, it looks tiny. Once inside it really opens up. The cute breakfast mural in the back is fun for pictures with friends and family. Now back to the food, as expected it came out fast, hot and like ordered. The food was tasty and brings memories of family breakfasts. The over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy and not burnt. The hash browns were savory and perfect crisp. The pancakes are sooo goood. I will always come here. The other chain breakfast places have nothing on this place. They don't need to dress it up like Pinterest to get people to come in. The parking lot is always full because it is reliable. You know that good food and good service will happen.

    Lunch box special.

Very affordable, with friendly service. Nothing fancy here, but the food is well prepared. A great value for lunch and breakfast.

There was a standard menu given to us along with specials for the evening. Also notes were wine specials and a decent wine list. Two in our party enjoyed a Pinot Grigio and a Sauvignon Blanc and exclaimed good quality. For starters we got fresh bread that was accompanied by seasoned olive oil and an herbed butter. We also had the flash fried artichokes; recommended these 100%. There were little strips of red bell peppers mixed in and note, when I say "flash fried" I'm talking a lite dusting of a flour batter and super lite fry...no grease. Dinner entrees consisted of the birthday boy ordering the filet, au gratin potato and asparagus. Three of us had the flounder that had tomato confit, artichoke, hearts palm, olives and mandarin oranges. The filet was cooked perfect and extremely tender with the sides paired perfectly. The flounder was exceptional and no plate was left with a morsel to be seen! The dessert menu was hard to choose from but we settled on brownie with sauce and vanilla ice cream and the raspberry cheesecake. Add in a couple of after dinner coffees/espresso the meal was perfect. This restaurant is small but not elbow small. A few tables outside for nice weather occasions and a small bar to seat 3-4 people. Aiden was our server and he did an awesome job; efficient, attentive without being overly hovering with a great sense of humor. We will be back!

Adams Street is a quiet street on this particular Saturday morning around 9:15 am. But inside the restaurant, there is a flurry of activity behind the counter, the aroma of breakfast makes us smile when we enter and there is a line that stretches to the door. Folks are waiting. Few dine in and most are carrying out several to go boxes per person. The prices are reasonable and for the portion size, I would say budget-minded. Get the Olean's omelette. It's generously sized and enough for 3 meals. It looks nothing like a traditional omelette. It reads more like a breakfast casserole. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, veggies and cheese. It's comfort food on a plate. I am so sorry I didn't take a photo to share. I highly recommend this meal option! My dining companion ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and plain grits. My dining companion stated they were the best restaurant grits they'd ever eaten. The bacon was piled high on his plate! He took 1/2 this meal home. Mrs. Olean is behind the counter and just as personable as can be. She sets the tone for hospitality and it shows with her courteous staff. There was ample parking. The dining room is small, probably 10 tables in all. Most seem to be taking bags with their to go containers. Few people leave with one container. We will certainly return for some of their lunch options next.
