Called in a delivery order today, was craving some good pepperoni pizza. Good pizza in general. We ordered a large, pepperoni, olive and sausage pizza & an order of wings. The lady in the phone was super sweet and the food came within the hour. The wings were HUGE! Upon biting however, only too find that it was all breaded fat that made them so huge. They weren't awful, but they weren't great. Now the pizza... Cmon guys; that tasted EXACTLY like those Digorno pizzas in the frozen section at Safeway :( and for $26??? Really... Such a disappointment. My 3 year old who loves pizza, didn't want anymore after one bite. I was eternally shocked! Pizza is good. Everybody was friendly except the guy who took our order. He was rude and definitely did not want to be at work.. didn't catch his name but he has dreadlocks. After living more than 30 years of my life in Vancouver, I was heartbroken--no, DEVASTATED--when Smokey's announced its closure a few years ago. It had been my go-to pizza for as long as I could remember, and after the loss of Uncle Milt's some years earlier, Vancouver was losing one of its last few iconic local hangouts (don't even get me started on Steakburger). When the Megabite opened, I was living elsewhere. My Vancouver friends kept telling me how it was the spiritual successor to Smokey's run by a crew of its former employees. Even better, the previous owner had even given them Smokey's recipes. "It's just like Smokey's," they said. "We still eat there all the time." When I moved back to Vancouver a few months ago, the Megabite was high on my priority list... after finding a place to live, but not by much. I wasn't disappointed. Same cheese. Same meats. Same crust. Although there are many similarities to Smokey's pizza, there's something missing I can't quite put my finger on. Regardless, it's still the best pizza in town by a country mile. Is it more expensive than the big chain pizzerias? Yes, but as they say, you get what you pay for. A classic pizza done right. Fantastic family pizza joint. Nice selection of older arcade games and quality pizza at the price point. The decor is all things gaming/geek and it really supports a family atmosphere. The seating is comfy, parking more than ample and the customer service was really quite good. There is self serve soda and a fair selection of local beers on tap. You will not find any Coors silliness here, but instead I was surprised to find a few fantastic seasonals ready for consumption. After years of eating at Megabite Pizza, this is the first time I've used the word "disappointment". An 80-90 minute delivery turned into 2 hours and the result was the worst pizza I've ever eaten from them. My mother is a long time customer and visits fairly regularly whenever she's in town. We spent $40 and left a tip, my mom went to get a box for our pizza and the manager tried to charge for a to go box. First of all, what restaurant charges for a to go box?! One of the workers was really sweet and apologized to my mom. Let me start off this next part by stating that this place is literally set up for kids and playing. With arcade games and blocks, kiddie rides, video games...... as we were leaving my brother got distracted by a game and left behind. My mom instantly went back for him (she hadn't even left he building yet.) And the managers says, "Oh please don't leave any kids in here!". Took a chance to take the wife to a low key local pizza parlor birthday dinner. This place was close to home and had a good four star rating via Yelp, thought I'd give it a go. We walk in. Classic semi-run down but cozy old school pizza parlor. The young guy who was working the front could've at least tried looking like he enjoyed his job. (Or at least greet us when we walked in) Nope. A few of the reviews mentioned the service wasn't so great, but the food would be worth it, right? We ordered a medium Mega-Supreme with a pound of their "famous" Jo-jos. 45 minutes later, no sign of anything. We walked in at 5pm, with one person ahead of us. I'm used to a 20+ minute wait for fresh pizza... but 45 is pushing it. I walk up there to be told that someone was supposed to tell us they burnt the pizza and it's being remade. (Nope. didn't happen) The guy running the pizzas yells over it'll be another 5-6 minutes. 15 minutes later, the wife is in the car frustrated, I'm standing in line to get a refund. (Again - this was a birthday dinner) Our food was magically boxed up and ready to go as I walked up to the cashier. Wow. I guess they knew they dropped the ball to the point they boxed our food to go. Lousy first experience. (And last!) Let's get to the food now. That's right! We came here to eat food! The pizza was okay. My biggest critique: why use canned mushrooms on pizza? Also - the Mega-Supreme we got was kind of a hybrid of a Taco Pizza. Which makes me question if they were in a rush to fix their mishap they just make-shifted an existing order to expedite ours. The Jo-jos were good. But honestly, the poor experience really ruined the meal. Also: how can you screw up jo-jos? Just like what I told the cashier when I was leaving. Just do better guys. Thanks place is amazing. I got a HUGE salad here that was loaded and everything was fresh. Very happy with that to start off. I also ordered a pizza that was amazing. The only downside is I don't live close by! This place would become one of my go-to places for lunch or dinner more often. To top everything off, this restaurant has a small arcade area. I played several of the games and had a BLAST! There were several games where I played for about 10 minutes on just one quarter and I am no expert on playing video games. My sister ordered the chicken garlic pizza and really loved it. That's the end of this positive review. My husband and I ordered a Hawaiian pizza. It was not good. I had to pull the cheese off because I was sure they had forgotten the sauce. The Canadian bacon was very good. My aunt and Uncle had BBQ wings and they were so saturated with BBQ sauce that they were using napkins to wipe some of it off. The steak fries were out of a freezer bag. The Onion Rings were delicious, the ketchup is out of one of the huge cans, watery and nasty. YUCK! For me it's in the small details and they missed the details by a mile. We probably won't be back. For a bland and expensive pizza experience visit The Megabite. Nothing is really too horribly wrong here. The staff is affable and approachable. The decore is comfortable, the bathrooms are large and smell pleasant, but nothing is really particularly right either. We ordered a large Carnivore pizza and 2 drinks. The total was around $34. For my cheep-ass... that's a bit of an OUCH! While the price is comparable to many sitdown pizza joints in town. The pizza, unfortunately, is not. I could not say that this pizza was better than Papa Johns, and probably close to the quality of Papa Murphey's. The red-sauce tasted like straight-up tomato paste from a can. The Italian sausage was cheap, dry and oily and barely tastes like Italian Sausage at all. The crust is thin, crunchy, and utterly devoid of flavor. Mostly, our pizza just tasted like salt and some overbearing tomato paste. At least they are generous with the toppings, but that's not really saying much when all your meat tastes like salty kibble. My guest and I are hardcore gamers, so we were excited to eat at a place that is supposedly gamer-centric. Unfortunately, having a handful of ancient arcade games in your establishment coupled with a few sparse comic-book decorations does not a gamer-centric place make. It really just makes you like about every other old pizza place in the area. I am new to the area and had hoped that I could find a good thin crust pizza. The Megabite is certainly the best I have found. I am not sure what they put in their pizzas, because after our family ate there a few times, we became addicts. Food: The crust is thin, sauced to the edges, and holds up a massive amount of toppings really well. I have found that it tastes best a little over cooked. It reheats better than most thin crusts I have tried. The veggies are thin sliced, as I like them. The Canadian bacon is unlike any other I have had-- instead of rounds, you get partially shredded pieces (excellent!). The sliced sausage is good (it looks like a thinly sliced kielbasa). The pepperoni and Italian sausage are typical. The sauce is thick and flavorful (not spicy). The fish and jo jo's are surprisingly good. The fish batter is excellent. The jo jo's come lightly crusted with some sort of flour mixture. They both go well with their thick dipping sauces. The other side items, such as chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, fries, and poppers are standard. They have a handful of local beers and Coors as a domestic. The IPA is definitely worthy (Elysium). The snapshot is a really nice, smooth, citrus hinted wheat beer. Decor: They have old school arcade games that you can play. Further, and this is most important, I can bring my two boys (aged 6, 8) in and they can roam the building playing with toys and on their multiple computers. It is one of the few places I can actually have a conversation with my partner while we eat as a family. The building is old and outmoded, but not a deterrent. Staff: The staff is very friendly, down to earth, and transparent. The owners take care of you like you were having a meal at their home, and let you know how their new business is doing, what sorts of things are in store for the future, etc. read more

Started coming here after smokeys shut down and really liked it. However these people have no idea on how run a pizza joint . Called in an order to go. Got there and paid $50.00 For "said" pizza . I ordered a pint to enjoy while I waited for my order. I finished my pint , nobody asks if I would like/want a refill . After about 15 min I decided to ask if my order was done. Stopped in here on the way home from Oregon. My girlfriend and I were feeling some good pizza and all the reviews on Yelp were rave so we decided to try it! The place is a little divey in ambiance but it doesn't pretend to be anything than it is. It's got good cheap food and damn does it deliver. We got the cheesy bread which comes with ranch and that was amazing. It's perfect for two people to share as an appetizer, but any more than that might not satisfy. We also ordered the combo pizza in a small for two people and it was amazing. The pizza was delicious and had a crispy, slightly greasy crust. Just down right good pizza. We ended up eating only about half of it and took the rest home. Unfortunately, they had a mix up and slated our pizza for delivery so it took a while for them (and us) to realize, however they were super nice and told me they had to refund my money for the pizza. A really nice gesture by them! I was really shocked, especially cause I was in good spirits about it all. Awesome to see a company really step up. Best pizza in town hands down! This used to be Smokeys but now is called Megabite and its still as good as ever! We had them deliver out to Ridgefield (179th/Fairgrounds exit) which they said isn't normally inside their delivery area but they did it anyway. Much appreciation for that. The megabite supreme/combo is so amaze, Crunchy crust and loaded with mixed meats, cheese, veggies and a fresh tomato slice. YUM YUM YUM. I want a slice now, I could eat a whole pizza. Ranch I think is extra but worth it, they give you a lot. We also got the chicken strips that come with steak fries, so good! Little salty but good! Would have gotten the wings but they are not boneless, chicken strips however were a great alternative. I would suggest delivery or take out, not the fanciest place inside and if you don't have kids or be around kids, its best to get take out or delivery. Usually lots of kids due to the games. read more
