We were in mobile for the day n exploring the fort area. Lunch time n were hungry n found noble south w a southern menu n thought we'd try it. Lovely restaurant . Nice bright n airy w friendly welcoming staff. Clean restrooms. We had the deviled egg which tasted really good. The soup of the day which was like a gumbo w okra n andouille sausage n cornbread. Tasted good . The southern corn bread tasted a lil dry. Had 2 smashy B's - one w kale salad n one w fried potatoes. They tasted good. And fried catfish w cornbread n fried Brussels sprouts. Fried Car fish is a southern specialty n tasted good n so did the Brussels sprouts which was crispy n good, Tx u for a great lunch.

You have outdone yourself, Noble South! From farm to table, from table to mouth, Now that I've had it, I don't wanna live without. I had the pesto chicken with beets on the side, The bartender, Zac, was a perfect food and beverage guide. With Natalie and Jess serving up delicious plates on the fly. This experience had my body, thankful to be alive. Oh and the ambiance was a total vibe.

Stopped by here for lunch. I'll start off by saying that I would give it a 4.5 but can't do halves. The service was good and attentive. The dining area is nice but needs a little attention as some of the ceiling tiles are loose with open gaps in the ceiling. Small detail but this is an upscale place. I ordered the catfish with potatoes and greens. The sides were great and the catfish was good but looked to be a little overcooked and dark. The dish came with two dipping sauces which both elevated the experience. One of the sauces was mustard based and amazing. Overall good food at a fair price for lunch. I have not tried dinner yet.

Top notch, dining experience with excellent food and service! The duck confit was like something I've never eaten before which I guess is true... it was quite the culinary experience!!

The service was terrific! We had Zach. The food was wonderful except the casserole.. it was SO salty my dad who LOVES salty food couldn't handle how salty the casserole was.I'm not sure if it's like that.Every time but it was like that for us. Its a very small dining room and loud so if your going for a meeting or work lunch. I would recommend some place else. Over all. I would go back. The dining room is very open and beautiful. Just keep your party to 4 or less. Also, look at the plates. I loved that homie feel they gave super cute.

This place is kinda hidden. The service was top notch! I was really looking hard at the motley crew in the kitchen, as I was sure Gordon Ramsey had to be among them! The food was that delicious! The decor is very complimentary to the old building it's in. The whole experience was amazing! Definitely going to head back here on our next trip through! Fresh! Clean! Delish!

I'm from out of town, but I've been here twice now because the first time was so excellent. Located in downtown Mobile, this cozy restaurant boasts inspired and creative dishes made with local and seasonal ingredients. The chefs here really understand flavor profiles. We had knockout dish after knockout dish. The chicken parmesan sausage dish has hands down been one of my top 5 memorable meals this entire year. I found myself thinking about that dish days after. Oh and the desserts--oh my. Now I'm a sucker for cookies, and the brown butter pecan cookie with the peach semifreddo was so good I had to go complement the chef. And he was so thankful, I was gifted another cookie! I couldn't believe it (but literally felt like a kid in the candy -- or cookie -- store.). This restaurant has been consistently spot on! I love it. Shout out to my server Sara who was phenomenal! Service is always important to me, and she went above and beyond for us!

Food was excellent. The black catfish was amazing. The brussels sprouts was my second favorite. Sweet potato soup and cucumbers were good and cornbread was phenomenal

Quaint small restaurant in downtown Mobile. Excellent for lunch, a quiet meeting place. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile. They have some unique cocktails available - the staff recommend one for my wife which she enjoyed. We shared an order of pickled shrimp which were nicely seasoned and served with crackers. I had a seafood sausage sandwich which had an aioli to die for and a cup of creamy cauliflower soup. My wife had a short rib sandwich with truffle aioli which she thoroughly enjoyed. This restaurant was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and it lived up to the billing. Definitely a place to try if you're driving by Mobile!!

We had an 11:00 am reservation for lunch on 02/16/24. We did not receive a friendly/welcoming greeting by the hostess. For a snack appetizer we ordered the Deviled Eggs. We have had better. They are mayo dominant to say the least. Moving on to the entrees. My wife ordered the fried catfish with mac & cheese and cornbread. She would have liked her catfish to have been seasoned better. She was impressed with the mac and cheese as it did not need any additional seasoning. She usually has to add salt/pepper to her mac and cheese when we eat out. She did not care for the heirloom cornbread. I ordered the beef tips and rice with 3 sides. My sides were the cauliflower bisque, glazed carrots, and heirloom cornbread. The beef tips and rice were very good. I would describe it as being more of a beef stew than a traditional beef tips and rice. The cauliflower bisque was excellent. However, this is where they dropped the ball. I asked our server who I believe was Micah R. based on our receipt did it have shellfish in it. She said she would check. She did not think it did. She never followed up to confirm. This is a major training issue. Food allergies are a real thing. A restaurant should now how their dishes are made and be able to communicate it immediately. I liked the heirloom cornbread. I ate the rest of my wife's. She ate the rest of my cauliflower bisque as I did not want to have an ER visit. The glazed carrots were good. The ambiance was nice.

The service can be a bit unpredictable, and the coffee isn't very flavorful, but that doesn't stop me from loving it, mainly because of the Breakfast Brisket Scramble. It's full of flavor, really filling, and the kind of meal you end up craving days later. No restaurant is perfect, but The Toasted Yolk nails the important stuff: the food. If you're grabbing breakfast or brunch, do yourself a favor and order the Breakfast Brisket Scramble. It totally makes up for the little flaws elsewhere.

Stayed anyway because server and hostess were good and atmosphere was cute. I ordered a Power Bowl called the Garden Breakfast Bowl (I knew my mom ordering traditional breakfast for me to sneak bites from). I was hoping for healthy crunch and boost to my day. The vinaigrette was too much for the fresh veggies, bulgar wheat and quinoa. I'm not sure what you would put on that power bowl but that dressing was not it. It had too much of it as well. The veggies and avocado were fresh and ratio of other fillers was good. I wouldn't get it again though. Like I said I took some bites of my mom's traditional breakfast. Eggs cooked correctly, bacon was too, Belgian waffle was very good- fluffy and sweet. Pancake was basic. Overall, the whole experience was basic honestly. I wouldn't turn down if invited there but not going back on my own.

It was a Friday night and the music was loud, you can sit at the bar or at a table. It was several people eating in. We decided on the Wings with Cajun Nawlins fries, and the Bando Nachos. The Bando has a full menu and bar. The service was great and it wasnt a long wait for the food. I asked for sour cream and salsa for the nachos and they didn't have any so I stopped by the store to get some. I was super excited to try the food. It was super salty. Everything was salty. I tried to move past it because I was so hungry but it completely dried my mouth out and I had to stop. I was really disappointed. I had the Chicken and Strawberry Crack Waffle and my friend had the Lamb Chops, Shrimp and Grits. Everything was so good! Big A came to greet us and we told him about our food a few nights before and he explained that the meat is marinated and they probably seasoned it again. He was very apologetic. He told today would be better and he would ensure it. The food was fresh, hot and tasty! We really enjoyed it! We also got some gumbo to go and it was really good! We got lucky and found one of the few non metered spots on the street. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived, but they where able to seat us promptly. The service was good. Our table ordered several items off the brunch/breakfast menu. I had the Seafood Eggs Benedict. For the most part this was a solid eggs benedict. However the shrimp were away overcooked and rubbery. They were a bit smallish and just not worth the time or charge. Hands down the best part about the dish was the Honey Ham. It was flavorful and there was a good bit included on the dish. In general it was fine, but not exactly worth the $18 it cost. Cubed Hashbrowns: I mixed bag. Every order at the table the Hashbrowns came out a bit different. Mine were undercooked and crunchy inside, I like them overcooked and crispy. Others at the table had them crunch and almost burnt. You can have them come with cheese and onions. I suggest this upgrade. Others at the table had: Eggs Cathedral: Needed salt. The same dry shrimp as the other dishes. Another dish that just did not seem to justify the cost. BLT Croissant: Was an ok looking sandwich, there was a good amount of bacon on the sandwich, however most of it was very well done. $15 Kids "Egg Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 Meat, 1 Toast. Looked fine. Spot of Tea was not a bad meal and there is good diversity to the Breakfast menu. However nothing the table had has was great, just mostly good. The Shrimp however were just bad. It seems that they are cooked in batches early in the day and added to dishes as needed. So I would personally avoid the "jumbo" shrimp dishes. Side note on the shrimp they are the same one that was added to the bloody marry cocktail. I think the biggest hang-up is the price to quality ratio. If you are in the area and want an eggs benedict you may want to give them a try. For me however I think there are better options to get full in the area.
