We were looking for an appetizing dinner this Friday evening but did not feel like leaving our hotel/casino and walked by "The Noodle Den."  Their hand-made noodle showcase caught our attention, so we walked right in. Luckily, there was no wait and were seated immediately. We tried their Mongolian Beef Stir-Fry, vegetable, and Kung Pao chicken dishes. All in their "Knife Sliced Noodles" style, which are "Fettuccine" style, thick noodles. Everything tasted amazing and very satisfying. Portions are generous. This is a very good, authentic Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is clean, with nice decor and comfortable seating. I had my birthday here. We had two big groups and they managed to combine both of our groups to sit at one table. We had a whole section to ourselves which made my friend and her husband much more comfortable because they have 3 toddlers. The food was excellent and it came out quickly. We ordered a bunch of the Black Truffle Pork Xiao Long Baos, Salt and Pepper Pork Chops, Beef Chow Fun, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and the Roasted Duck. I would recommend all of it. The quality was excellent. I don't expect anything less from a major restaurant in a major hotel on the strip! The one thing I wasn't so thrilled about was their chocolate filled Xiao Long Bao's. It seemed like they were trying to be creative and differernt, but, they were just too rich for my liking. I got the same reaction from the rest of the people in my fam. I have been craving noodles and we've heard pretty amazing things about this spot, with the only negative being its location in the Sahara. Do not let that stop you from trying them! Even on a random Wednesday night in the middle of April the line was out the door! This place is so delicious! Service was top-notch and the restaurant itself is very lovely. All of the decor fits the theme. You can't tell you're in a stinky Vegas casino until you walk out to go to the restroom, literally that and parking are the only negatives. We loved everything we tried and we ordered way too much food! They can adjust spice level, so I was able to get my favorite Mongolian Beef, and the orange chicken doesn't come with rice, which bummed out my husband, but he just shared my noodles and was fine after the first bite. AMAZING!!! the atmosphere is nice, no complaints! and THE FOOD IS THE STAR OF THE SHOW. my family and i ordered a lot of stuff (and had to take some to go, and i devoured the leftovers the next morning) and EVERYTHING there was sensational. as for the orange chicken, our waiter said that every time he's recommended it, people have said it's delicious. and he was correct!! it was one of our favorite things!! speaking of our waiter, he was really sweet and provided great service. he said he's rather new, and i'd say he's doing wonderful so far!! :D as for the rest of the food, the chicken dan dan noodles were delicious, and so were the beef ones!! and everything else we ordered was definitely enjoyed. this was literally one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. i am ABSOLUTELY coming back next time we travel there!! read more

Located in the Sahara, this place is one of the better options inside the hotel/casino. My friends and I went here for some food, and on a Monday late dinner around 9pm, we were surprised to be quoted a 20 minute wait for a table of 4. We decided to just stick around and peruse the menu, and to our surprised, we were able to get seated closer to 2 minutes, so either they did a typo or did not see an open table nearby. We shared the street food wontons chicken & mushrooms (soup), Mongolian beef stir-fry with knife sliced noodle, braised pork belly and fried egg over rice, and crispy orange chicken. The food is pretty good quality, despite the above average pricing (about $30/person after tax and tip). The wontons were pretty good and the soup within is fairly light, which is good to start. The Mongolian beef noodles were my favorite, as the beef is very tender and you can just bite small pieces easily, and the noodles were cooked to al dente. The braised pork belly was flavorful and did not have too much fat, yet it was still very tender. I loved how the fried egg still had a perfectly runny yolk, which is my preference, and the rice absorbs good amounts of the sauce. The crispy orange chicken is nicely battered and still retains the crispiness, kind of like the Korean fried chicken is typically still crispy despite the sauce on top. Service here is pretty good as they keep refilling water to ensure you always have water in the cup. Other requests were fulfilled fairly quickly, after flagging down the server. read more

This place is such a gem. Located inside the Sahara hotel/casino, this place is a wonderful must-visit fo both locals and visitors. Very exquisite inside with the elegant modern architecture and their ceramic dishes are so nice. Service is immaculate as well and everyone is quite attentive from bussers to the servers.. for food, their crispy orange chicken is amazing. Crispy, flavorful and great amount given to you as well. We also ordered the chicken wings, honey walnut shrimp, cubed steak with asparagus, beef soup. Everything was made to order a comes piping hot to your table. The honey walnut shrimp was not shy with the creamy sauce and walnuts. The side of broccoli also paired well with the shrimp. The cubed steak with chopped asparagus was also deep in flavor, you can really taste the oyster sauce and spices used in it. This place is worth a visit especially if you are on this side of town as it is at the end of the strip area but I always come visit whenever I am in this side of town. Very delicious and I loved the ambiance. It was giving upscale but still affordable. This is located in the Sahara casino and did not disappoint. We had the orange chicken (great quality) Chicken fried rice (perfection) and the Mongolian beef noodles (it was good but I've had better). The STAR OF THE SHOW was the dumplings. I Had two types of dumplings but I'm still dreaming about the spicy dumplings. Both of the dumplings were hand made and I was able to see the chefs inside the kitchen making the fresh. read more

I normally venture outside hotels for food spots, but this time, my friends and I went to The Noodle Den, which was a part of the SAHARA hotel. I was thoroughly impressed! My favorite dishes that we ordered were the Pan Fried Dumplings and Roast Duck Fried Rice. The Pan Fried Dumplings came with a chili dipping sauce that was the perfect accompaniment. Also, although fried rice is sometimes basic, this one was very flavorful and I just wanted to keep eating it! The service was very fast, and I thought the prices were fair for being a hotel restaurant in Vegas. If anyone is staying at SAHARA and looking for an easy spot to get food, I would recommend The Noodle Den. read more

Stayed at the Sahara in LV for a work trip. Accommodations were okay but hey a free stay at a vegas strip hotel. Luckily I had this little gem inside the hotel which means I did not have to leave the hotel for dinner during a cold/rainy weekend prior to the super bowl. I love Asian everything and this place was very nicely dressed with good seating and large windows to the kitchen to watch the magic happen before your dish came out. And good views of the slots to watch the magic fade from people's wallets. I tried several dishes over 3 nights but the best by far was the spicy short rib been soup with home made large noodles. Great cold weather meal with delicious meat! Everything there was great but that was my top one followed by the duck. The pot stickers were beautiful but not a meal unto themselves and more of an appetizer. Service was excellent, nothing to complain about at all. Literally just walked out of this restaurant and I am so disappointed. Got the xiao long bao, potato pancake and the pork rice. Pancake was stiff as cardboard, bao was lukewarm and the rice was dry. Better rice from Panda Express. Is it just me or are strip restaurants just so so? I highly recommend Shanghai Taste in Chinatown- best Xiao long bao I have ever had in my life. My jasmine tea was 300 degrees and couldn't even drink it until I was almost done with my meal. Service was almost non existent. Can't believe it was $75. The prices reflected that but they were able to get me in right away and I was given a fantastic server by the name of Stephanie HA HA but we connected on that and she even gave me a hug. That being said I was a party of one but I wanted to try a bunch. We talked and decided that I should try the gyoza (pan fried dumplings), white rice, chicken wonton soup and green onion pancakes. Service was QUICK. I got the gyoza and it was pretty much as expected. I liked the light fry on them. The meat was perfect and a good texture. I wish the sauce was a BIT thicker as I like to actually have sauce on my gyoza. The noodle/pasta was perfect. I then tried the green onion pancake it was good... I dipped it in the gyoza sauce but I think it would be great to put with a main dish. I got the wonton soup but it was very fishy. I asked about it and she said it was the sesame oil -- it was not but I didn't argue. The nori in the soup could have done that and I removed it right away but it could have influenced that flavor. I gave it back and she suggested that I try the noodle soup since I wanted to try some noodles. I was not happy that it turned out to be nearly $10 more than the wonton soup I ordered and that was not mentioned. When the soup arrived it looked rather gross -- she literally said "it doesn't look that great but it has great flavor." I asked what the meat was and she said beef. What I saw was a ton of fat... she said it was tendon. Either way after I completed some surgery on the meat I gotta say that soup was freaking DELICIOUS. I would never get it again since it was $23 for soup but it was very good... I want to come back someday and get main courses. I really wanted the chicken fried rice but she said that would be too much for me. I wouldn't venture here to go to this restaurant but if I stay at Sahara again it is a chance I would come back. read more

This place is nestled in the back of the Sahara resort with a quiet elegance in its decor. Probably one of the coolest things was that our table had a gigantic lazy Susan, so you can easily share your food. We got the Bao buns, which had good texture but tasted more like soup dumplings. The filling on the Pan Fried Dumplings was tasty and they were just the right level of crispy. For my entree. I got the Mongolian beef with hand pulled noodles. R the beef was tender but wasn't super flavored and the hand pulled noodles were a bit gummy. The Matcha Tiramisu was delicious and a unique way to end my meal. Wow, what a pleasant surprise this place was! We were looking for some late night eats near our nearby hotel, and the front desk attendant suggested we head to the Sahara Hotel. The Noodle Den was conveniently located near the front entrance (unlike other Vegas hotels where you have to navigate a confusing, smoky casino to find the food), and we were quickly seated for our 10pm mini meal. We didn't want to eat a lot, so we shared their barbecue pork fried rice and a plate of their green onion pancakes. It was delicious! The fried rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and filled our empty bellies. The freshly-fried green onion pancakes were a hit, too, and the perfect accompaniment to the rice. The dude also enjoyed his bottomless lemonade! My only complaint about this place is that it was hard to decide what to order. Everything sounded delicious! I can definitely see myself visiting again on a future Vegas trip. read more

Came here for dinner during Restaurant Week. Ambiance is nice, service was good but everything we ordered were overly salted! They put enough sodium to last you for a week! Bleh!! It was $40 per person for three dishes. The first was more like an appetizer and only consisted of three dumplings. Then we were able to choose between kung pao chicken stir-fry noodles or fried rice. The noodles were soooo salty it was almost inedible. Last dish was more like a main item. Choices were between salt & pepper pork chop or mongolian beef. The highlight of our dinner was sadly the dumplings. Everything else was just overly salted. I am visiting from out of town, here for a user conference. I'm a northern Chinese from Taiwan, over 50's. So I started looking for noodle places for dinner. Since I don't have a car and not into Lyft/Uber, I looked for a place closer to my hotel, Resorts World in Southern Las Vegas. Fortunately (depends on your POV) I found this place in Sahara Casino Resorts, without having to take a ride to get out to Chinatown. In short, I ordered the cucumbers from the appetizers section and the Taiwanese hand pulled noodles. The cucumbers were marinaded in a vinegar-soy sauce combo. However, what's missing is any evidence of chopped garlic and sesame seeds. Th vinegar marinade is just a touch too strong. The noodles came 5 minutes after that. I can tell the noodles are "twice-cooked", not authentically "al dente". There is no chewiness to the noodle texture. (Respectable restaurants will cook the noodles fresh, boil them right after pulling them. But twice cooked noodles are usually products of restaurants who cooks up a huge batch of noodles to half-done, then set them aside and re-boil them again when customers order them. It's very easy to over cook them so the noodles lose their texture chewiness, which happened in this case. What irks me is no waiting staff ever asked how was my meal at any point of the meal! I left mine half eaten and returned the rest. This was no better than a regular bowl of chicken noodle soup at any diner. So my recommendation is, look elsewhere, DO NOT consider dining here, least of all not the hand pulled noodles which this restaurant seemed very proudly advertised. read more

Hands down the best ramen I've had outside of Asia itself! So flavorful and full of aroma. My friends and I did a walk in and the service was spectacular. You don't always get that on the strip. Noodle Den is very authentic chinese cuisine located in the old school Sahara Hotel & Casino. Definitely a hidden gem on the strip for chinese food, I haven't had one item from the menu I didn't like yet. The noodle soups are amazing with plentiful flavor and portions to go with the amazing prices for a restaurant on the strip. Must try appetizers include the spring rolls, green onion pancake, hot & sour soup, and any of the dumplings whether potstickers or the soup dumplings. Service is impeccable and very attentive every time. I love the window into the kitchen where you can see them making dumplings by hand and fresh. As customers left, I saw a server spraying the table and wiping it clean. That was a nice touch before the next customers arrive. *Edamame 4/5 - Salted edamame. Good, a bit salty. *Spicy Wonton (Pork) 3.5/5 - The flavor and wrappers were pretty good. It wasn't spicy at all. However, the inside was kind of mushy and not great. *Crispy Roast Duck 4.5/5 - Very good roast duck. It was seasoned just right and the skin had a slight crisp to it. *Taiwan Beef Brisket Hand Pulled Noodle Soup 5/5 - This dish had some heat to it at around medium spicy level. The bok choy had a light, delicate flavor. The noodles and broth were good, but the show stealer was the beef brisket. It was really tender, almost melting in your mouth. One could tell that the meat was simmered for a long time to achieve this wonderful texture. read more

The noodles blew me away from the moment it was placed on my table. The aromatics are strong and wonderfully appetizing. I tried the gyoza first. The sauce was not too vinegary and the gyoza was soft but with a very good crunch. Flavor of the pork was softer, but that made it good to balance the heavy amount of chili oil that's in the noodles. I do recommend mixing the chili oil into the beef and broth. It will sneak up on you. The thick daikon radish slices help cut the heat as well, but those go fast. The beef is done in the chinese style and I believe is broiled. It is not like char siu in the slightest and has a very different flavor profile that is very good. The pulled noodles have a udon like thickness, and don't soak in the broth flavor too fast, but they have a good chew. This was a bracing late night meal, and as the con kept me till almost 10pm, it's pretty much the only choice open that late at the sahara. I'll be sure to introduce myself to the xlb and other dishes tomorrow. Was not quite as filling as I hopped, but O had a very small lunch. I will certainly recommend this place on flavor. read more
