After a quick search on Yelp, I found The Noodle Den which is inside of the Sahara hotel and casino. It's a cute restaurant and they seated us in a cozy corner booth. The hostess and servers were friendly enough. I can't say it was the best, but the food came out quickly. We really enjoyed our food. Everything g we ordered was delicious. I really enjoyed the duck fried rice. My mom ordered the roast duck appetizer which was a good amount of duck and tasty. My only disappointment was that the skin wasn't crispy at all like I hoped it would be or like I'm used to at other Chinese restaurants at home in the DMV. This restaurant was conveniently placed in our hotel. The waitress was persistent on us trying the orange chicken - it was pretty good but was drenched in so much sauce we had to scrape a lot of it off which was uncomfortable. The dumplings is where it was at. The flavor was absolutely delicious, probably some of the best dumplings I have ever had. Wandered around the bottom floor of the Sahara Resort and was craving something tasty in the city in which World Class Restaurants are abundant on the main Las Vegas Strip, and some of the best Asian Cuisine located in Chinatown.... only we weren't very close (walking distance) to the strip. My buddies and I decided to take a chance on this restaurant, as we were deciding between The Noodle Den and the significant pricier nearby steakhouse that we knew nothing about. We stumbled upon this seemingly very small restaurant, which required a 20 minute wait despite available seats. After 20 minutes of waiting, we were seated at the furthest table to the right of the main entrance. This was when I first realized how deceptively large this restaurant was, as there were nearly double the amount of seats of what we were able to see at the entry. Still plenty of available seats. After being served by the prompt, attentive servers, i realized why there were so many spots available yet we had to wait 20 minutes: load management. Excellent, swift service throughout our dining experience. The food was amazing. Guests had the opportunity to watch the chefs literally hand pull the noodles with the transparent glass at the front of the shop. The Taiwan Beef Brisket Hand Pulled Noodle Soup was on point with some of the best I have had. All in all, aside from the yelp reviews, this "deceptive" restaurant is definitely worth dining at. I went with the pork spicy wontons. I took them back up to my room and my first impression was that they were very small. I will say, what they lacked in size, they made up for in flavor and execution. The dumpling skin was so thin and delicate. So well done. The filling was flavorful and the sauce was really good. I didn't think it was particularly spicy, but you did get some of that numbing spice, which I enjoy. They are topped with green onion and crushed peanuts which added some wonderful texture. I would like to go back and try some of their xiao long bao, but that is not something I would get to go. read more

We got violent food poisoning from the water. The whole party ordered completely different dishes and drinks, but everyone said the water tasted funny The entire party was nauseous and vomiting within the next 24 hours, which was especially awful as we were all traveling. It was less than okay, and very greasy with no flavor but the taste of oil. I even asked for a side of soy sauce and chili and that could not save the dish. We all ordered different things: Mongolian beef, veggie noodle, pork belly, and dan noodle but none of us were pleased and barely ate our entrees. Our house water tasted like the flour for the noodles, I'm uncertain if the glass was not clean or if it's the stink of the ice. Also, there are really no options for a celiac. Well don't let the upscale dining steer you away from this place. This place has all your wants and needs in hand pulled noodles. You can definitely tell they are fresh and delicious. The braised pork belly was my favorite part of this meal. It was so tender and meaty it was everything. The fried rice was pretty decent maybe would need a bit more work. The honey walnut shrimp was delicious. Had enough of a crunch and the shrimp was not over cooked. This made for the perfect dinner. Great atmosphere and great dining and customer service. We came here on a Friday night at 7:30 with no reservation. We waited about 30 minutes for a table. The location is close to the strip side of the Sahara Resort, on the casino floor. As far as an alcohol selection they have beer, wine, and sake but the mixed drinks are canned. The portions are not necessarily family sized but you can certainly order a few and share. I decided to try this place due to the favorable Yelp reviews. It was good but not great. Maybe it was because I didn't know what to order. I went with the beef chow fun but, based in the photos , they seem to be known for their spicy wonton, handmade noodles and roast duck. I guess I should have checked the photos before ordering. haha Service was great. My water was constantly refilled. Waitresses were all very attentive and quick to get you want you want or need. I went around 6:30pm and was seating immediately. It was at the Sahara towards the front entrance. I took the monorail to the Sahara so I'm not sure what the parking situation is like. read more

The service was great too - the hostess was friendly, our waitress was helpful and very responsive. We never had to wait - for a place that's only been open a week it's running like a well oiled machine - I was very impressed! The food was was so delicious- we started with the shrimp & pork wonton soup, and pot stickers! Then an order of the Xiao Long Boa and finished off with the Honey Walnut prawns- all amazing, all I would highly recommend! The price was very fair too - I would say this place is easier to get into and cheaper than Din Tai Fung (in the Aria) and just as good if not better! I will say that they only have pre-made drinks (i.e. there is no bartender so all cocktails come in a can) so if you're looking for a good/fresh cocktail, get one in the Casbar before coming! read more

Our family of six needed a bit to eat before heading out to a concert. Since we were staying at the Sahara we chose to dine onsite and selected the Noodle Den. We ordered a variety of items and shared family style. The flavor and portions were surprisingly great and everyone loved the food. We were early and the restaurant only had a few tables. It seemed odd that they pushed several 2-top tables together for us versus seating us at one of their larger tables with the lazy Susan centers - which would have made our dinner easier with eating family style. All items were quite reasonably priced given how generous the portion sizes are!
