So happy The Now Massage opened in Pasadena. This massage studio is one of my favorites. The receptionist, Mirelly & Lauren, were so kind and friendly upon arrival. I was booked for a 50 Min Signature Now massage with Krysta, and added on the The Gua Sha (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) its a service to the whole body which felt so great for my neck and back. I also added on the Herbal Heat Therapy which helps reduce tension and increase relaxation. The perfect combo for body love and relaxation. I ended with one last add on for the scalp renewal which was a lovely scented Ouai product to hydrate the scalp and was not oily at all. I highly recommend this massage studio for all your relaxation needs. No to mention, this location has a parking structure attached to the studio so its so easy and convenient - 90 mins free. I have been coming here since the beginning of the year and every single time I come out completely refreshed. I booked appointments with both Lunice and Sosi while I was pregnant and they were super gentle and careful with me. I highly recommend this place and the membership because it will save you some money if you plan on getting massages regularly. I also liked the fact that you can pause the membership at any time as it was helpful for me to pause it after I had my baby. It was a good massage, but the ocean sounds and cloth walls was not as relaxing. Not everyone like constant ocean sounds without an ocean. My friend came with me and her masseuse didn't take off her pony tail during the scalp massage add-on. That's what happens when a man is doing it instead of a woman, a woman would know that to relax and give a proper scalp massage you have to loosen hair and remove the pony tail. I've been going to Now Massage in LA area for a few years now. This is the second or third time I went to the Pasadena location. The massage here is great and the ambiance is very relaxing. It seems clean and everyone is nice from the front desk to the staff. My only issue is the therapists not wearing masks. I was home the whole week, went to get a massage where, while laying face up, I could feel the therapist's breath on my face. Next day, I wake up with a cold. What are the chances? When therapists are working so closely with clients, they should be considerate and at least wear masks once in the room. read more

Of all the massage therapists I have ever seen I feel he understands the body the most. He is intuitive and knows exactly what your body needs. Had a great experience today. The receptionist was kind and professional. The vibe is relaxing and serene- the aromatherapy and the loud ocean crashing sounds helps your mind escape, even though the therapy rooms are separated with curtains, it didn't make much of a difference to me. Kaliq gave me the best massage I've had in my life- and I've done longer/more expensive massages at other high end spas. My 80 mins was worth every penny. I am considering a membership because he was so great. He worked out the tension in my neck, shoulders, hips, and glutes. His hands have a special touch that just relaxes you completely. So so so happy with this place! Upon arrival, parking was very easy to locate and there were many spots open. When I walked in, I was greeted with such joy and kindness. The ladies at the front welcomed me, checked me in, and asked me how I am. They wanted to ensure that I was comfortable and that I get the most out of my experience. I met my massage therapist (Jennifer?) and she was so nice. She asked me if there were any areas to focus on and helped settle me into my room. I know people say this all the time in reviews, but, honestly, the best massage of LIFE! When I went, I think they had just opened, like that week. But everyone was so nice- I actually asked to 'speak to the manager' afterwards to tell her how exceptional my massage was, and she could not have been sweeter about it. But we only did the 50min massage, which was fab, but I'd definitely recommend getting the longer options, if you can. Even though I've had longer massages in the past, this one did way more for me. My masseuse hit all the right muscles; I'm a physiotherapist by trade, and I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. I wish for the life of me I could removed his name! This was my first time at a NOW spa so I was excited. Unfortunately, I had the most underwhelming experience at this place. I booked a massage for my boyfriend and myself and we both left there feeling very disappointed. They do not do couple's massages so we were in separate rooms. I thought it was just me and I just got unlucky with a mediocre massage therapist but he had the same reaction. We both had asked our massage therapists to go deeper multiple times. This was NOT a massage! I would give this place 0 stars but I cannot and there was one good part- the hemp balm they use. So 1 star seems appropriate. It was my first time at the Pasadena location. I've been having problems lifting or moving my arm for about a month, so I booked a massage at this location to try something new. It was an exceptional experience. When you walk into the lobby, the front desk is very welcoming. The scent when you walk in, is incredible. I love the sounds of the ocean, too. It is a total relaxation vibe. After discussing my shoulder concerns, my masseuse Krysta, suggested some enhancements. This is by far the best massage experience that I ever had. Krysta is a phenomenal masseuse. She really took her time to listen and understand what I needed. I felt seen by the whole staff. The person over the phone when I scheduled the appointment put me with Krysta knowing my concerns. I left with more range of motion in my arm, and less pain. I just had my first massage at The Now. It was a great first impression. Tastefully decorated with natural wood and crystal accents and a relaxing fragrance permeating the space. I have been in a lot of pain recently from overworking and pushing myself at the gyms. My friend recommended The Now's signature stretch massage saying that it helped her out with shoulder issues. So I decided to try it out. Making an appointment was pretty easy on their website. I booked the 50min massage because I felt that was the minimum amount of time the poor soul working on my knots would need. My massage therapist was Deyvon and he was up to the task. He used the right amount of pressure to loosen the knots but not so hard that I can't bear the pain. The result is actual relief. My persistent headache has calmed down. This was the most helpful massage I've had in a long time! After the massage I decided to sign up for the membership.
