Read the positive reviews here on Yelp and decided to call The OC Bee Guy. Husband called yesterday morning to have someone come out and help with our bee problem. We were told that someone would be out at 1 p.m. today. My husband adjusted his work schedule to accommodate. Someone called him at 1:15 today and said that the guy is running late and will be at the house 3-4 (fine, whatever). It's now 4:15, no sign of anyone and no call. So far this experience is not a good one ... Updating this review to reflect 2 updates (original review was 1 star). When Omar from OC Bee Guy finally showed up (after 5 p.m. mind you), he was quick, efficient, and friendly. That rose the review to 2 stars. Husband paid with a credit card, which Omar wrote down on the invoice. Husband received a voicemail from OC Bee Guy today saying that the credit card didn't go through (either because Omar wrote it down wrong or it wasn't entered correctly when input for processing) and threatening to send it to collections!! Really?! Rather than leave a nice voicemail (first time calling to let customer know there's a problem) saying that there appears to be a problem with the card and to please call back to correct it, the woman has extremely poor customer service skills and threatens the customer with sending it to collections?! Unbelievable! I'd give this company 1 star for Customer Service (only because 1 is the lowest you can go) and 1 star for Omar's ability to remove the hive. Another update: When husband returned phone call, rep complained about the poor Yelp review I left for them. I think that people ought to know what type of business they may be dealing with, so I post legitimate reviews. Read my other reviews; I'm not a mostly negative reviewer. In fact, I'm a mostly positive reviewer. One thing that I did forget to mention was that when my husband called the office yesterday to complain about having to wait around, the company did give us a discount on the hive removal. That is appreciated, but these other customer service issues do not balance out the experience. P.S. Turns out Omar wrote down the wrong credit card number and that's why they couldn't process the payment at the office. read more

John was the 3rd be place I called and the first to answer my desperate Sunday afternoon call. He came in the evening and quickly and painlessly removed the bees that had congregated in a tree on my front yard. We were concerned about the bees being killed since we know they are important to the ecosystem so he explained the process and showed us the bag that he would put the bees in. it was nice to know that he was able to bag all of them but a few stragglers. He showed us the bees and we were shocked how many there were! So scary!! Luckily they will go to a beekeeper and hopefully make great amounts of honey. I contacted the OC bee guy via yelp regarding a beehive and he quickly responded eventhough it was a Saturday. He asked me about the beehive like how long it's been there. When I told him it hasn't been that long, he said to wait until Monday. He said sometimes they just leave. Well, he was right. They magically left Sunday morning. I hardly write reviews but I really had to do this one. This company is very professional and John is a genuinely honest person. I thought I had bee hives galore (4-5), so I called them Monday morning at 10am. John answered the phone and gave me a time frame of 11-12 the same day (WOW!!!!). When he arrived, he was very professional. Then when he saw the problem that I was telling him, which I thought were bee hives...... He said they were Sparrows nest. Outstanding. I discovered a very large newly forming bees nest at 10:00 pm on Monday, found The OC Bee Guy through Yelp and sent him an email. By 10:15 pm he had emailed me back and by noon the next day he had removed the bees nest as all (NOT exterminated them) and I paid him via Paypal. We had a developing bee issue when we noticed a couple of dead bees lying in the shower tub in our bathroom upstairs. At first, we didn't think twice about it but when we started noticing bees swarming around the external roof vents (just on the underside of the roof tiles), we knew something was up. We called the OC Bee Guy based on a community member's experience with John and we were glad we did. We called The OC Bee Guy and John was able to come out the next day as it wasn't a pressing issue for us. When he came to inspect, he recommended to exterminate and then remove the honeycombs and replace the vents with smaller screen holes to prevent them from coming back. We moved forward with his suggestion and so he immediately sprayed the area where the bees had been swarming. A few days later, he came back and by that time the bees were all gone. He cut open the vent boards, cleared out the honeycomb and dead bees, replaced the screens, and then replaced the boards to their original position. For those who are interested, John encourages his customers to be involved with the process (to the extent that they are comfortable with). After he cut open the boards to expose the honeycombs that the bees had been building, he let me climb the ladder to check it out. The honeycombs were cool to see but hopefully that's the last time I'll ever have to deal with that at home. John was very knowledgeable, efficient, and went the extra mile for us. After spotting a few wasps nests in the eaves of a Lease Property, I set our to find a provider through Yelp since I don't live in the same area as the townhome. I reached out to The OC Bee Guy through the app to request a quote. John (The OC Bee Guy) responded back quickly to get some additional information and gave me an un-BEE-lievable quote of about $80 to take down up to 5 nests, spray treat, and a warranty. In addition to the 3 nests I saw, Brandon the Technician found 2 others on either corner of the garage door frame!!! I'd say I got my money's worth!!! Loved the "after" photos sent to me by Brandon to show where he had taken down the wasps. Payment was easy to do over the phone and Joann in the office sent me the invoice to forward to the property owner. All without me having to be on site! I called The OC guy, and he was the first guy to ask me how long has it been there, oh it probably just a temporary swarm but come out on Monday. My mother had bees living inside a crack of a stucco wall on the deck above her garage and she wanted to get rid of them quickly. The first bee removal company that I called said that it would be 2 days before they could even schedule an inspector and I was put on a waiting list. So I called John on July 30th about 2:30 pm and he answered immediately. I told him about the bee problem and he said that he would have a bee inspector come by the house between 5 and 7 pm. I texted him my mother's address immediately. About 4 pm he texted me and said that Brandon was on his way.
