Time to leave a longer review because I realized I've been eating at "Spags" (as we lovingly refer to it) for decades. Literally since I was a kid and we would stop in Honolulu for a few days every other year on the way to the Philippines back when they were still on the 2nd floor of the now defunct Ward Warehouse. Living here now, i take it for granted and don't stop by as often as I probably should. As Ive said before I always get the Breast of Chicken Fettucine with a side of Mizithra cheese. Growing up I always got an Italian soda as well. And yes, we had a collection of the souvenir glasses. Happy to report they still have em, tho the glasses are now different. Personally, i prefer the tall, slim glasses with just the logo and the red and green bands, but I get the appeal for these "destination" type glasses. Love that every meal is a "complete meal" and comes with soup or salad, and ice cream for dessert. Also complimentary bread service (pro tip: skip the butter. Ask for a side of creamy pesto dressing instead.) (pro tip 2; Ask for a fresh loaf to go...assuming you have leftovers) Also somehow never knew you could buy Mizithra Cheese, Creamy Pesto dressing, and their Spumoni ice cream to go. GAME. CHANGER. My kids still love the trolley, but its almost always reserved...but its ok, they get over it quickly. This place is and always will be a huge shot of nostalgia for me. Is it the best Italian food ive ever had? No. And they don't claim to be. But what they do, they do well. Don't change anything. Made a reservation for 7 and confirmed. When we arrived, no table set for 7 and they had to squeeze a chair into a table set for 6. The waitress, while kind was poorly trained. Instead of setting the water glasses, salads, soups, entrees, dessert, etc at each person's seat, she stood at one corner of the table, put them all at 1 corner and told me to pass them along. The calamari was greasy and tasteless, the bread tasted like it was microwaved, the salads were okay but the $3.50 up charge for a Caesar salad was ridiculous. The soup was lukewarm and no flavor. Entrees were hit or miss. Meatballs too sweet and sauce too watery. Chicken parmigiana was dry and the cheese and sauce slid off of the chicken. Lasagna was cold in the middle, the chicken Alfredo was chalky tasting and the chicken piccata needed salt. This used to be a much better place but I will never return nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone ever again. You failed from the beginning to the end. Why bother making reservations if it's not set up? The food is flavorless. The service was horrible. I've never been to a restaurant where I was expected to serve my table myself. She even forgot the applesauce for the child who didn't want a soup or salad. read more

The salad dressings were good, but everything else was pretty meh. All of our Mizithra dishes were extremely dry, so dry that I had to ask for Alfredo sauce to add to mine to be able to eat it. Nothing that we had was "great" and worth going back for. We enjoyed the ice cream but not enough to go back for it either. Portions were on the small side also. Nothing was "bad" per se, but just wasn't special or good enough to even finish our meals, and the consensus of the table is that we'd prefer other chain Italian food (taste wise) and wouldn't be back again. I can't say enough good things about the staff though, from the host, to the server and even the manager on shift - they were all very nice. We went for lunch on a Sunday and were seated right away. Our food came out fast, especially considering they were taking care of two different large parties (one in back room and one taking the whole outside patio). Parking across the street in the lot we got validated at the restaurant for 1 hr free and included $2 discounted rate for every hour after. We needed up paying $4 for parking after validations. There is zero street parking for free. Food = 1 Price/value = 1 Service = 5 Atmosphere = 5 Parking = 3 **update: don't be fooled by the copied and pasted response from the business as it seems it's just to save face. Went there for my birthday/anniversary with my husband and thankfully, we had the most attentive and nice young man helping us. He reminded me of my 23-year-old son wonderful service, all the food came at the right time. Everything tasted as it should will definitely be back to try more different flavors. Left a huge tip since the service was definitely great! It's crazy my credit card company actually thought it was a mistake with such a large tip. We got the most private table away from the huge crowd, and the interior is aesthetically pleasing. I love the old antique furniture. Their meal sets comes with soup or salad, entrée, yummy bread with butter, and of course, the spumoni at the end. There was a table further away from us with a loud kid, but at least he didn't come near us to be a bother. read more

I love that you can still get set meals here for a reasonable price. The entree comes with either a soup or salad and ice cream. It also comes with complimentary loaf of bread. I got the calamari $12.99, chicken marsala $24.75 and a cotton candy limeade $4.50. With my meal I chose the green salad with balsamic vinaigrette and spumoni ice cream. My hubby got the spaghetti with meat sauce $21.99. He didn't care for it and said that he liked my spaghetti better. The chicken marsala was delicious. I just love that wine sauce with mushrooms. It came with a side of spaghetti with Mizithra Cheese and Browned Butter. That was also good, but a little on the oily side. I also have to compliment the fried calamari. It was so crispy and tender. I eat calamari everywhere I go and this is one of the best. My husband hates seafood and he couldn't stop eating it. There always seems to be a wait at this place. We waited about half an hour. On January 31, 2026 Roz M & I had dinner there. She suggested going here and mentioned there was a dinner special for $16. 57. The Old Spaghetti Factory celebrated its 57 years with rollback pricing, and that day was the last day. What a great deal! The price was for a 3 course meal came with your choice of pasta, soup or salad and dessert. Your choice of ice cream vanilla or their signature ice cream spumoni. (Chocolate, pistachio and strawberry flavor combination.) Being it was the last day, it was very busy. We didn't have reservations but were able to sit outside at the bar. Where we met "Aunty Pauline" Service was fast & efficient! I really wanted to sit on the trolley, so of course I had to go back lol... and so I did. On February 22, 2026 I went back with my family and friends. There was six of us. They were going to accommodate my request BUT of course we wanted to sit all together and the tables in the trolly wouldn't fit all of us on one table comfortably. We were offered a family size table right outside of the trolly, that worked. So I guess I'll have to back again. Lol My recommendations- The 3 course meal lobster & crab ravioli for $25. 99. The Old Spaghetti Factory has been serving affordable for 3 course meals since 1969, I miss OSF being at the Ward Warehouse, now they are located at Aloha Tower, so glad we still have OSF here on the islands along with the Trolley too. Great time memories dining here with my kids, we sure enjoyed those Spaghetti memories, now it is just me and the other half when we want some classic comfort spaghetti, salads, and soup! Did you know the very first OSF original location opened its door on Jan 10. 1969, I am a fan of OSF so I had to visit during one of my Portland trip. I loved that OSF's pasta entree comes complete 3 course meal with either soup or salad and even dessert, their famous spumoni ice cream. Even their kids' meal comes 3 course, with a drink. My favorite pasta is the clam sauce but really the other selection, so I always opt for manager's favorite, pair two pasta classic. I usually get the salad as my choices but recently tried the minestrone soup. Wow, the soup has tons of ingredients in there, I counted over 10. I enjoyed the soup, a little on the salty side but it was pretty good, the spumoni ice cream is a bonus treat after our meals. The cheesy garlic bread is a favorite for me too but I don't like the complimentary sourdough bread, but adding butter provided helps! Check out the specials during the week days, Meatball Mondays you get a platter of spaghetti with marinara sauce, 4 meatballs, 2 soup or salads, half decanter of house wine, and 2 servings of spumoni ice cream , or Wine Wednesday, you get a bottle of Decoy or Conumdrum for $20. First time visiting The Old Spaghetti Factory after always passing by and being curious about it. It feels like one of those places that probably holds a lot of nostalgia for people who grew up going here. The interior, especially the train and vintage décor, makes it fun and very family friendly. Tip: park at Aloha Tower Marketplace since the parking is right in front of the restaurant and they validate, which made the visit really convenient. Even though there were plenty of seats available toward the front, my friend and I were seated all the way in the back corner. I'm not sure if they were training a server or just spacing guests out, but sitting in such a large, mostly empty room felt a little odd and took away from the atmosphere. Our server was a super sweet younger gentleman who was kind and attentive throughout the meal. I also liked that the meal comes with soup or salad, an entrée, and dessert. The ice cream was honestly the highlight. The food itself was just okay. I ordered a vegetarian option based on popular recommendations, but the mushroom sauce lacked flavor and the spaghetti was average. The bread was hard to cut and didn't seem very fresh, and the salad was pretty standard. Looking around as we were leaving, other dishes, especially the Alfredo plates, looked much better, so maybe I just didn't order the right thing. I can definitely see the appeal of this place, and it may have been partly what I ordered or being seated in such an empty room while other guests were in warmer, more lively areas. I haven't been to this establishment since it moved to the Aloha Tower complex. The service was very good. Both Host and server did an excellent job. The restaurant exhibited the same ambiance as the old location. They even brought the cable car. Which we seated in. The low rating is do to the food. First was my Ceasars salad. It lacked the distinctive Ceasars taste. It was drowned with grated cheese. Next was our appetizer. We ordered the spinach dip. This was served with toasted bread. The bread was delicious. But you couldn't taste the spinach in the dip. This was also heavily laden with grated parmesan cheese. My entree was thier Lasagna.. This was the best part of the meal. It's been a while since my last review and sadly, I downgraded OSF by 2 stars for this visit. We decided to lunch on a Saturday with hubs, the kid, her man, and the grandbaby. The grand is 6mos, and was in her stroller. I walked up to the hostess and said 4 adults, and a baby as I point to the stroller. The hostess nods, and seats us at the table directly behind the hostess stand. The daughter and I look at each other with the same look. Baby was chill so we parked her across the booth and the hostess was like, "sorry you can't leave the stroller there, we have to put it behind the booth". Deep breath, so we take the baby out of the strolller, and play pass the baby around the booth while we ordered food, ate the food, had some drinks, and desserts. Pass. The. Baby. The food was fine, although the calamari wasn't hot. The server made sure we had our needs met, water filled, chopsticks and extra napkins, etc. However at the end of our meal, the server served an extra aroma that was definitely not included with meal service. Being that we were there for lunch I hoped he would have a break to freshen up before dinner. I was looking forward to the spumoni but coming from her mouth, no spumoni or orange today but we have vanilla was absolutely okay. The calamari was fried perfectly, crisp, not overly cooked. My clam classic pasta was creamy and delicious. Enjoyed getting it as a birthday freebie by email then redeeming it on the app. Hubs had a chicken panini sandwich with potato chips and a salad. Reservation were easy to get and make for a Saturday evening. The building inside is stunning! I asked in my reservation to be seated in the train car and was delighted that they made it happen! With a modest menu, choosing something wasn't difficult. Each entree comes with a choice of soup or salad, and a scoop of ice cream at the end. The food was...okay. I got the fettuccini Alfredo and a side of chicken parmigiana. The chicken was SO dry. Incredibly hard to cut dry. The pasta was good enough, but nothing to write home about. Stopped by for a quick lunch. This is the first time I've been to this location at Aloha Tower, used to go to the Ward center location years ago. The decor was the same as the old location, and probably some of the furniture was brought over to this location. Lunch service was good thank you to our server Adam, though I think they are slightly understaffed for this time of day. Today I had the meat lovers which had two meatballs, Italian sausage, in a meaty marinara sauce, which also came with a small side salad and ice cream. Here's a hack. Order the vanilla ice cream and ask for a small portion of Browned butter for a delicious topping. Meal was delicious just like I remembered it in the 1980s, but could use some updating. Located in Aloha Tower, this OSF location is clean, bright, and has a decent amount of parking in the lot out front. OSF validates parking so be sure to bring your ticket. The restaurant is a decent size and has space for some large parties. It's also one of the oldest OSF locations at all apprently. Inside is clean and well laid out; looks a lot like other OSF locations though. The food is standard with other locations, spaghetti and pasta dishes with soup or salad starter and ice cream dessert. It's definitely chain style fare but is hearty, has many courses, and is good for celebrations of events. The staff are all very friendly and helpful as well. read more

The guy at the front that seated us was not too friendly. Didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Poor thing. I don't blame him. It was a nice day out! The restaurant was not too busy, only a handful of customers. After we got seated, it seemed like no one knew we were there. It took a good 13 minutes before our server came and greeted us. She was very peppy and sweet, which made our visit much better. Ordered the potpourri and the adult Mac and cheese. Both came out hot and tasty. We didn't finish our food and asked for boxes. We packed our food, paid the bill and walked out with the boxes. No bag. Guess we had to ask or pay for it? We saw a cute little feral black cat at the parking lot. He was really hungry. Stumbled on this location on our last trip to Oahu. My husband loves the Mizithra cheese and brown butter pasta. I had the roasted mushroom ravioli. It being the Spaghetti Factory, I'd recommend the pasta dish. I had shrimp salad but it was tiny while others chowed down on a huge plate of meats & pasta... next time I'd do that but I will need a nap after lunch The two appetizer bread dishes were both amazing (artichoke dip & cheesy bread with marinara sauce). I should have done the standard dish so it comes with the soup or salad, main dish, and ice cream. Came here for lunch and it was my first time at the new location at Aloha Tower. We had a bigger group so we made a reservation. We were seated quickly. The server came quickly with waters and an extra placemat and set of utensils for me. He explained the menu and how the complete 3 course meal works. He was also efficient with taking our orders and repeated it back to ensure he got everything right. The bread and salad came out quickly. The bread was crispy and fluffy. I got the salad instead of the soup. The salad was cold and crisp with a generous amount of dressing. They timed the meal to come out perfectly as once we all finished our salads the meals were out shortly. I enjoyed the mix of the meat sauce and mizithra cheese. There was a generous amount of sauce and noodles. I mixed it together and it paired perfectly. For dessert you can choose spumoni ice cream, orange sherbet, or vanilla ice cream. I got the spumoni because that's harder to get normally. I enjoyed the ice cream, but mine was heavily chocolate with a little bit cherry and pistachio underneath. Our meal starts off with the house bread that is so good when it's warm and the butter just melts on top. Next comes either a salad or soup. The mizithra cheese and browned butter is what I usually order for my meal. It's always such a huge portion that I normally take home more than half of it. The meal ends with a scoop of ice cream - I always get the spumoni. Service is normally great. The servers are attentive and always seem to be around when you need something. The Old Spaghetti Factory. Well it's the same restaurant, but it's actually in a new location. This was the first time I visited the Aloha Tower location (for all the younger readers, it used to be at Ward Warehouse, which will be the location of the Aalii condo) and the first time I've been to the restaurant in well over a decade. They carried over the same décor from the old location which I was very glad to see. If you have never been here, it is well worth a visit. It is a good place for a family gathering, birthday dinner, or just grabbing a bite to eat when you are looking for good food, but not fine dining or some other type of bougie experience. Expect to see a lot of shorts, slippahs, hats, and other casual attire--real family vibe. Just like before, the food is good! I would call it a step above Buca's food (RIP), and on par with Bravo and Olive Garden. I had the chicken marsala, which was pretty good. I also tried some chicken piccata, which was better, lol. Most of the entrees come with soup/salad and dessert. The chicken was tender in both dishes (I could cut it with my fork) and the spaghetti noodles were nicely cooked. After scanning the menu, I am pretty sure they only have spaghetti and angel hair pasta noodles (not counting ravioli). I wish they offered a penne or rigatoni option, because I prefer my noodles like my work meetings, as short as possible. The salad was pretty standard but good, and the orange sherbet for dessert was delicious. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. No one yelled at me for taking my 2-year-old nephew exploring all around the restaurant (again, good family vibe). Parking was partially validated, so I ended up paying about $4 for a bit over two hours. If you are near Aloha tower, stop by and enjoy the old factory in its new location. read more

Dry tasteless chicken parmigiana. Bad service. Salad was OK but slightly wilted. No reason to go back here.

This review is solely on a large party (~10) dine in experience on a week night in December, with reservations around 5:30pm. The food here is typically tasty, which is the reason the location was selected. But sadly the service was appalling. We sat before many other guests, including a fairly large party. All tables around us were served (and left) before we got our food, which came after over 2 hours of waiting and near closing time. The kicker. I wanted to order take out and was told the kitchen was backed up so it would take a while before I would receive it. I was told to order my take out online, so I did. It came in 15 minutes, and before I got my dine in dinner. And while we were promised some type of compensation for our wasted time, our checks were still wrong and we had to wait for corrections after closing. So much for celebrating the holidays. I would not recommend coming with a large party during the holidays. read more

Here for a presentation in the back room, which had ample space for the projector and screen. Truly great service from Kat, who was super attentive and thoughtful. Our organization selected three entrees for members to choose from; and they had a colored plastic card to alert the server of our lunch choice (lasagne, chicken marsala and mizithra, or the manager's choice with mushroom sauce and mizithra cheese). As an officer of the organization, I think we'll be coming here more often for our meetings! Albeit more than our existing budget, it was well worth it! Salad, entree, spumoni, and beverage! And their nice warm loaf of bread to share;). -Ok, one small thought- the knives need sharpening; as slicing the bread required much effort and mangled the poor loaf. The service was spectacular... Brandon I think was his name - my brothers birthday party ... meal was fresh fast service and mizthra cheese was so delicious. He had sausage as well and the bread was fresh. We will definitely go back with a great value. The ambience was perfect because we could have conversations. Come down within the next 4 weeks and see ASH before he leaves!!! We found an amazing server that's not only attentive but truly cares about a customers experience and their feedback! Something totally unexpected happened during our visit today which wasn't on his end or even the kitchens end but in response he brought the Younger Manager named DOUG to come over quickly who addressed and corrected the issue in a timely fashion! Kudos to the team for being efficient and really working together well! Like I said if you're reading this you have 4 WEEKS to see ASH before he leaves to see a new career BUT don't let that stop you from coming by!
