    This way to breakfast
    Kawone H.

I have been to OPH's across the country. This one is okay. The service is continuous and the staff is responsive to your needs. The decor is great. Love the cast iron skillet chandelier!! The elevator needs to work, especially with the restroom downstairs. The food does not taste like the usual OPH. The pancakes lacked that distinct flavor even with the syrup. The omelette' are good, and the pancakes come with a side of eggs. That's a nice touch! Will I be back? Yea, I will always love OPH....been eating them for 50 years!!!!

Our first visit to the OPH in Westport and we enjoyed it. We got here early on a Sunday morning and were one of like three tables occupied for the first 20 minutes, they seated us in the upstairs section which has plenty of room. The service was great with friendly staff. The food was perfect for a breakfast place. Nothing too fancy with all the regulars being represented. My wife ordered the pecan waffle with extra strawberries and cream. That plate came with 2 eggs and bacon. That's a lot of food. Waffle and eggs were cooked perfect. The bacon was a little overcooked. I had the mini minced ham breakfast which comes with scrambled eggs and diced ham and a side of 3 pancakes. I got blueberry pancakes for an extra couple of bucks. The pancakes were not huge so three was a perfect amount. We both went conservative and got the maple syrup but for the adventurous there are several more flavors. Overall a solid breakfast stop.

The first Original Pancake House was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1953. Decades later it came to Connecticut. Years and years ago in the 1980's, the Original Pancake House was located in New Haven. They made the most wonderful cast-iron German apple pancakes. They were light and fluffy and melted in your mouth. When we found out that the Original Pancake House had opened again in Westport, we were eager to give it a try. They advertise that they had the German apple pancakes among a nice variety of other breakfast dishes. The apple pancake today was good, but definitely not in the same league as the place located in New Haven. They were also very short staffed and many tables needed to be cleaned. I would give the Original Pancake House another try perhaps when they are less crowded or better staffed. Fortunately, there are a lot of other super places to explore in Westport, so it wasn't a complete loss.

I loved the food especially the Dutch Baby. And the service was great and fast. The seating was ok and depending on what time you show up there can be a wait

One of my favorite Pancake houses! Everything is great at this place, down to their coffee. I absolutely love getting up early to have breakfast here. The service has always been so friendly and fast. There's a small parking lot that I find to be always full when I go but there's meter parking right in from and across the street that I always find. They are also gluten friendly with the option of gluten free pancakes which is amazing! Ambience is always very nice as well

One word FRESH!! I was greeted by the manager Jean immediately with a warm welcome he's a familiar face within the Connecticut hospitality group, so as soon as I saw him, I knew I was in a good place, because he never picks places that are not delicious to work at! Our waiter was kind knowledgeable took the time to answer all of her questions thoroughly and made great recommendations. The space is absolutely gorgeous. It's a multi level. Queen restaurant downstairs has a little bit of a bar type feels very beautiful. I cannot say enough great things about the food. We ordered two entrées and sign. The orange juice felt like I was drinking it straight out of an orange. Everything was well seasoned about prepared and aesthetically pleasing, would definitely eat hair again look no further for a breakfast spot.

Food was mediocre at best. Pancakes had a very weird taste to them. The cheese omlette looked like it was made by a 5 year old. Also tasted off! This is definitely a 1 and done. Waitress had a bad disposition and not really friendly.

Food was great! Ordered omelets and benedicts for breakfast and it didn't disappoint! Service was also good. And overall the place was great! Would definitely come back here another time.

We came to see what the new breakfast place in town was all about . It was great ! There was plenty of staff , the service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. Come hungry because eggs and bacon come with pancakes , and vice versa . The pancakes were light and fluffy . I also recommend the fresh strawberry waffle with or without whipped cream. The strawberries were fresh (not canned or frozen) and it came with a very light but delicious strawberry juice/syrup. We will be back!

It is located right next to their beautiful nursery and plant shop, and it's a really nice spot to grab lunch and then browse around for plants before or after. I ordered their crab flatbread, and the first thing that surprised me was how generous they were with the crab meat, mixed in with cabbage and charred asparagus. The asparagus had a nice char and flat and the cabbage added a nice crunch and texture. The flat bread itself was a little crunch which was interesting and I love how it wasn't overly heavy or rich. The flat bread came with a side salad with really fresh greens. It was so fresh and crunchy that my 9 year old son stole it from me and proceeded to devour the entire salad himself. Also, the setting is what really makes Terrain special. Being surrounded by plants and greenery, with the nursery and shop right next door, gives the whole experience a very relaxed and inviting feel. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend a little extra time after lunch wandering around and looking at all the plants and other items they have to offer. Our server was friendly although it was slow at times but we figured out it was the coffee bar that was slow. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch there and would be happy to return again when we are in the area.

There was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, and we were seated indoors. They had unique brunch options and we ended up getting the shakshuka, fried avocado benedict, chocolate terrarium for dessert, and an icedsea salt caramel latte. My bf enjoyed his shakshuka but he wished there were more slices of bread to have it with. My fried avocado benedict was unique, but I discovered the fried avocado was supposed to replace the typical enligsh muffin, which I feel like was still necessary. We ended the meal with the chocolate terrarium which was so cute and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area!

Bacon jam and siracha and other seasonings on a tender brioche (?) bun. In contrast to the salmon, it was a really big burger, but I couldn't stop eating it, and super crispy fries made it complete. Peanut butter sundae - warm peanut butter foam with chocolate ice cream & chocolate fudge. Balanced and delicious. Ambiance was average -- small, with narrow paths; no tablecloths and hard chairs. (Visited 3/11) Ambiance [4/5]: Minimalist style design, it's nice, Theres also pretty lighting and a good amount of seating with an open bar as well. Food: Trix latte w/ whole milk (seasonal): [4/5] Tastes like a bowl of cereal from a cup. Topped with whipped cream it's really delicious! Tastes like a cup of childhood. Theres a good anount of cereal in the cup alongside the ice so it feels like you get a good amount of sips before the drink is done. Other than that it's still pretty good nonetheless. Sin-A-Bun: [5/5] This is very delicious, it's a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The smokiness from the bacon surprisingly compliments the cinnamon roll buns. Good concept and executed perfectly. If there were an option i'd choose that over having it on the side. Surprisingly I didn't notice it on the side on the sandwich until I was half way through. Still delicious though. Challah french toast [5/5] Tasty and sweet. You can't go wrong with french toast. I added strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Nutella drizzle (each topping is $3 extra). It was worth the price it was delicious. It came with a side of butter which compliments the sweetness of the toast and some syrup. I didn't use much of the syrup but it was still delicious when I did decide to use it! I wouldn't order this because for delivery because its one of those things that taste so much better fresh in front of you rather than waiting to he dropped off. Service: [5/5] Fast and efficient service! The restaurant works as a team. One man sat me, The middle eastern girl with the long sleeve black shirt took my order and checked on me, and the white boy with the arm tattoos and pen between his ear checked on me at times, and cleaned my table while the girl was busy. It's great to see everyone helping each other and not letting anyone suffer. I Loved it! Overall Cafe social, is a great restaurant to stop by if you plan on going to the mall. Not only is it a 8 minute walk but you're also given a great meal and overall greater experience. I see myself coming back here if I'm ever in norwalk looking for a quick bite!

"I'll go back to the diner I'll write another letter…read moreI hope you'll read it this time" (Billie Eilish) I kind of laughed when our server brought over our menus. They were in a heavy book (reminded me of a high school yearbook) with six pages of choices plus an insert of daily specials. Post Road is the kind of diner that diner lovers dream of. Their menu is an embarrassment of riches and would seamlessly fit in alongside anything you would find on the Sunrise Highway on Long Island or on Route 17 in New Jersey. Three of us walked in around 11:30am today, and our first order of business was deciding if we'd go for lunch or breakfast food. We all went for breakfast plates- pancakes ($9.99) with a side of scrambled eggs ($2.99), GF Pancakes ($12.98), and for me a "Protein Breakfast" ($13.99) and a coffee ($3.49). So, I'm sure you're asking, "what on earth is a protein breakfast?' Well, it was four egg whites, a few gorgeous tomato slices, and a nice piece of grilled chicken. It was pretty filling and everything tasted great. Our server was efficient and professional and swiftly brought over a "to go" box for the excess of those enormous pancakes. The dining room is awesome, a real throwback to the 1950's with plenty of old-time booths, art deco neon signs, checkerboard ceramic tile, and music\entertainment\pop culture images everywhere. We really enjoyed our visit !
