We are in Nashville to attend the Seahawks - Titans football game, go Hawks! Tonight we are venturing to The Palms Restaurant located adjacent to the Nashville Hilton hotel and across the street from the Nissan Arena. Saturday nights in Nashville are hopping! Especially, downtown on Broadway, there are bars galore. But, that's another story. The Palm is a traditional steak house with a few southern touches. The decor is nice, featuring caricatures of several local, national, and international personalities. There's a very active bar and dining room was really starting to fill up. The noise level was moderate. The manager, Andrew, greeted ust at the entrance and we were seated within minutes. Jorge immediately asked us what type of water we preferred and our glasses were filled forth with. Bryan, our server was very personable and attentive. He really made us fell welcome. We started our dinner with Sauvignon Blanc and an Old Fashioned (featuring Buffalo Trace bourbon). Next up was the Seared Sesame-Crusted Tuna wakame salad, red peppers, ponzu vinaigrette, and wasabi cream. We also received Amuse Bouche (battered shoestring fried onions and hàndmade potato chips) compliments of our server Bryan. They were seasoned just right. The tuna was fresh and tasted great! My wife ordered a Gigi Salad which included shrimp, green beans, tomatoes, onions, iceberg, roasted peppers, eggs, avocado, and garlic vinaigrette. She loved it. I had a taste and all ingredients were fresh. I went with a broiled 3 lbs. Nova Scotia Lobster which was nice. Nothing hits like lobster and butter. We shared a side of broccolini. We ended with a couple desserts to go, Key Lime Pie and New York Cheesecake with Carmel bourbon sauce. Both were generous portions and tasted great. If I were giving grades the food was 5 (the Lobster alone was the bomb), the Service a 5 (Bryan and Jorge were great!), and the atmosphere nice, a 5 (the soundtrack was hitting)! This is a place we will visit again when in Nashville. Almost forgot, manager Andrew stopped by our table to see how things were going, we really appreciated that.

I was shocked when we walked in for dinner during our visit in Nashville and this place was DEAD- should have been my first clue. This place is super pricey and the food is just OK. The sea bass was very fishy and had to be sent back. The side corn was very good, as was the creamed spinach. I ended up switching the shrimp Bruno appetizer as my meal and was happy with that- tasty and honestly a big portion. This was a one and done place for me.

Austin was a great waiter! We had a private room. The deviled eggs were good. I had the salmon which was tasty. Classic hip hop music was lightly being played in our room

We started eating at The Palm at the Second Avenue location in NYC. They had sawdust on the floor, a classic old-school steakhouse and saloon tradition that soaked up spills and created a casual, working-class atmosphere. Occasionally, we would also visit Palm Too, located just across the street from the original. The first expansion of the Palm outside NYC was Washington, D.C. A much smaller restaurant with a very "DC" vibe, it still delivered the legendary, clean, consistently excellent food, and it has been our go-to location for decades. Last night, we visited the Nashville location. With the Capitals playing the Predators at Bridgestone Arena, the restaurant is perfectly located right across from the entrance. The food was outstanding, and the service from Brian made our night. You expect excellence from a Palm, but Brian went above and beyond our already high expectations. The Nashville location is large, yet Brain made the service truly personal. The kitchen maintains the same quality and consistency that the Palm has delivered for decades. In celebration of the chain's 100th anniversary this year, I had the Chicken Parmigiana, one of their signature longstanding Italian-American menu items, offered at a commemorative price of $19.26, a nod to the founding year. Walking through the restaurant, It seems that there was one on almost everyone's table. The Palm in Nashville isn't your typical Broadway rowdy spot, but it does have a warm, lively steakhouse energy that's perfect for celebrations and festive dinners, especially when paired with downtown activities.

I've been to The Palm before, both here and a couple other cities. Usually it is good, but something caught me wrong with this order. Eating alone at the bar, I had a salad, shrimp appetizer, and Chilean sea bass. Yet by the next morning, it was running through me like a fire hose. (No, I didn't go out drinking after). Shrimp tasted fine (though the sauce was funky). Salad was great. Chilean sea bass was uninspired and bland. For the money, one expects better - and to not be handcuffed to the commode the next day.

Bryan provided excellent service. The food was outstanding. We rarely go out anymore. We're glad we chose the Palm, it was very special! Yes, the drinks are great also.

Jake, our bartender for Happy Hour, was AMAZING! He made the best Manhattan's we've had in a very long time. He was friendly, professional and attentive. The food was outstanding, as well. The oysters were delicious and the meatballs and chicken parm sliders were also very good. We decided on Crème Brûlée for dessert and it was as delicious as everything else we had. We will definitely be back sooner than later!

The Jumbo Shrimp was outstanding (4 HUGE shrimp) and the Seabass was the best piece of fish I've ever had. Unbelievable.

The Palm is a staple in Nashville and in my 10 years here, I finally got to try it! The atmosphere is very cool with portraits of stars all over the walls. For such a reputation I thought the food was just fine. I got the chicken avocado club and it was good but felt like something I'd get at first watch. Nothing really special about it. I also had a cup of the lobster bisque. They style it where the soup comes out and you pour the lobster in. There were only two pieces about the size of my thumbnail, the rest was cauliflower. Overall, the service and vibe is great, in my opinion the food is fine but the place as a whole is overrated. Worth trying once to say you've tried it but I won't be back.

With a 4.77 aggregate rating across all user-driven platforms and nearly 1,700 reviews to date, Krustaceans is much better on paper than it is in reality, a very overrated restaurant! As the highest-rated seafood joint on the entirety of Highway 70 across the America, it simply did not live up to the hype as I passed through Nashville. Perhaps I should have ordered crab or shrimp or some other boiled seafood which seems to be more of their specialty. But the fish and chips caught my attention. Beware, these aren't the fish and chips you'll find in the UK or the Northeastern United States. Instead of a crisp, beer-battered exterior, this is more like a catfish breading. And it's not bad, but it's just very different than the name would imply. The batter is probably too salty, but the fish is very fresh! The Cajun fries are horribly mediocre. They're definitely just frozen fries from a local supermarket with an uninspiring spice mix. The employees didn't seem very welcoming either, which was kind of sad since I was excited to be there. It's not a bad meal at all, but the ratings are way higher than they should be! If you're haphazardly shelling out five-star reviews, you've probably never had real seafood on the coast and have only inflated the truth for online viewers. Don't expect too much out of Krustaceans, hope for a decent meal, and you won't be disappointed.

But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great

As their name implies, their seafood is fantastic, probably the best in the entire city! They have a policy that every seafood served at Eddie V's was alive in the ocean less than 36 hours prior! Anything left over is donated, which is impressive! And you can taste its incredible freshness throughout the meal! There are only 30 locations of Eddie V's in 15 states, but the quality is hardly reminiscent of chain restaurant food. It's truly exquisite! And we have very high standard having dined at Michelin-starred eateries all over the world. The scallops, lobster, and lobster bisque are easily the best in Nashville, and we've dined at every high-class restaurant Music City has to offer! The butter poached lobster mashed potatoes are incredible, extra creamy topped with buttery lobster and a beurre blanc sauce. The truffle mac is equally stupendous, with a three-cheese blend, truffle oil, and thinly shaved truffles imported from France! While most upscale restaurants tend to make a very strong truffle mac that has overpowering flavors, the chef at Eddie V's manages to make this, and all dishes, subtle and flavorful without overdoing it. Just as amazing as the seafood are the steaks. Since they had a Japanese A5 Wagyu in the building at $40 an ounce, something they don't have every night, I took advantage of that! As expected, the highest grade of Japanese beef did not disappoint, and the chef prepared it to perfection. That impossibly tender steak seasoned beautifully just meted in my mouth, probably the second best steak I've eaten in Nashville! The ponzu sauce, one of three that accompanied the steak, was delicious. The Korean inspired gochujang was also good, but maybe not perfect for this style of steak. But the wasabi paste was the winner, a perfect compliment to the beef without being very spicy, just wonderfully flavorful. Like all dishes here, they've impeccably balanced flavor with subtly! The desserts aren't bad either, but they pale in comparison to the beef, seafood, and side dishes!
