I have been to Charleston's location. Came in here for a business dinner. It brought back the memory of this pricing steak house. We ordered cream corn appetizer to share. My two other colleagues ordered filet mignon (8-oz). My steak was cooked medium rare, but it had some tendon part that was difficult to part and hard to chew. Two sides (cream corn and Brussels sprouts) were good and huge portion. The whole dinner bill with sriracha is was almost $500. Way overpriced!

The meal and drink were delicious; albeit they were NY prices, which I was surprised about because lots of restaurants in downtown weren't as expensive. Bartender, she was nice, wish I could've known her name to praise her because she was nice and sweet.

From the first bite, Halls Chophouse proves why it's a top-tier dining experience. The Prime Steak Benedict is the kind of brunch dish that completely spoils you for all others -- perfectly poached eggs resting on a tender pile of shaved prime steak and sautéed spinach, all nestled atop a toasted English muffin. The Hollandaise sauce is velvety, rich, and balanced, with just the right touch of acidity to complement the steak's savoriness. The drizzle of house hot sauce adds a gentle kick without overpowering the dish -- a thoughtful layer that ties everything together. The side of crispy breakfast potatoes was equally impressive: golden on the outside, soft inside, and seasoned just right, with bits of onion and peppers mixed in for texture and flavor. Every element tasted fresh and executed with care. Presentation-wise, it's beautiful -- the kind of plate that immediately makes you reach for your camera before your fork. If you're a brunch lover or a steak enthusiast, this dish is absolutely worth the splurge. Halls Chophouse doesn't miss a beat -- from flavor to service, it's indulgence done right.

This restaurant has all the things...great food, awesome vibes, excellent service! Whether you are relaxing with dinner or stopping by the bar for a drink, you can't go wrong with Halls Chophouse. I recommend the Wedge Salad, Scallops, and Fillet, ending with the Warm Whiskey Bread Pudding and an Espresso Martini. From a romantic night out to meeting up with friends, Halls is a definite favorite choice!

Came here for a business dinner. There's no free parking, so be prepared to pay once you pick up your car! They have valet, but that wasn't covered for me since I didn't pay. This restaurant is super impressive when you walk in the doors. It's dimly lit, but you walk right by an open kitchen and the decor is beautiful. Our table was a little cramped for the 7 of us, but we had a great view by the windows. Our waiter was excellent, he was great at suggesting certain dishes, presented us with all the cuts of meat available that day and was very attentive. I ordered the 16 oz wet-aged ribeye with black truffle butter. It was cooked exactly medium rare (because who orders any good meat cooked more than that!) we also orders the Bacon Steak - this was mouth-watering pork belly - I could have eaten just this and been happy! The sides were all very good, the only one that was just ok was the Brussel sprouts, they were a little too soggy for me. We didn't order any dessert or cocktails, but I look forward to going back to try these items next time!

Beautiful space, fun bar with live music, all that Hall's classic goodness and service. A perfect place to celebrate and spoil the folks you love. Wasn't sure if the Nashville location would live up to the Charleston King St OG. But can delightfully report it was a different venue bd but equally enjoyable. Seafood tower for two and Kansas City Strip with Black Truffle butter were fantastic and delicious.

I will start by saying I am going to be heavily biased because Hall's has consistently been my go to steakhouse in Nashville and is just leagues above the rest in my opinion. Also that this is an older review because I am moving my reviews from different platform. Stuff mushrooms: lightly breaded, stuffed with prosciutto and fontina cheese. Absolutely incredible. The mix of prosciutto and fontina with the savoriness of the mushrooms is absolutely perfect. Creamed corn: Not sure how to describe besides, it's good creamed corn. Exactly what it should be, some places add sugar or flamed sugar glaze to the top, this is just as described and not over the top. Asparagus with hollandaise: I have a bone to pick with basically every steakhouse in Nashville for serving "tough/hard" asparagus. Asparagus is one of the easiest vegetables to cook or flame grill, and yet almost nowhere can figure it out. The hollandaise is incredible, just wish the asparagus was smaller, and cooked longer or even charred. Filet of bison with mushroom risotto: Heavy hitter here, filet of Bison is a little gamier than a lot of people are used to, however here it just has a light "gamey" hint to it (which I love, but may not appeal to masses). The mushroom risotto is to die for, and topped with black truffle butter which was just chefs kiss. Lastly cheesecake desert, fantastic cheesecake that did not taste pre frozen or prepared and packaged. Nothing over the top just a solid dessert. MOST RECENT VISIT: Most recently I decided to try out the quail, unfortunately not pictured. It was prepared over cheese grits with sweet and sour greens. What I will say is that this was the only meal that did not really hit the spot for me at Halls out of the many visits I have been. Cheese grits were great, sweet and sour collard greens are an interesting take on collard greens that I have never experienced before. The quail was a let down unfortunately. Quail is a tiny bird to begin with, however this was the smallest quail I have ever seen. I was constantly fighting having tiny bones in my mouth no matter how careful I was with preparing bites, it also was not very heavily seasoned which led to a more gamey taste than I am used to with quail. The service at Halls has never disappointed. You truly feel like the president or a VIP when you enter. I joke with friends it feels like a spirit tunnel for a football game and the servers are making the tunnel for you as you enter. The atmosphere is white table cloth with walls draped in red in the main entrance, and gets more casual as you get deeper into the building. It will take a lot for a place to topple halls as my favorite visit in Nashville.

Came here for the Sunday Gospel brunch. Not only was the food amazing, but I thoroughly enjoyed the singing. The soloist was soo good. I will definitely be back, it's totally different and break from your typical brunches in the city. Our waitress was very nice and as I mentioned before, the food was amazing. I have Gabe here for dinner, so I was super excited to try their brunch. I wasn't disappointed. I totally recommend checking out their gospel brunch. I will be back.

Perfectly cooked steak and possibly the best loaded mashed potatoes I've ever had. Nice twist on some very good French onion soup. Nice ambience and great service at the bar from Alexis and Joey.

Have only been once for a work event, but I'll gladly return on my own. Even in a group dinner setting, steaks were perfectly prepared, as were the starters, sides, and cocktails. All too often, you get the B Team treatment in these settings, but I felt like this was just like I'd gone there on a normal night. To me, that says something. Service was also top notch, again, even in the large group setting. Even got a martini recommendation that I'm still wishing I could recreate! Great overall vibe, with plenty of general and private dining areas.

We've been planning a dinner at Halls for months and finally had the opportunity to do so. It's one of six U.S. locations of this regional chain and the only location outside South Carolina. They've gained a reputation as one of the best steakhouses in Nashville, even featuring the most expensive bottle of wine and the most expensive dish in town. Unfortunately, despite impeccable service and an elegant interior, the food did not live up to the hype! It wasn't even close! Now, have my visits to every one of the top 25 steakhouses in America jaded me? Has experiencing Michelin-starred restaurants and eating beef in at least 50 countries and all 50 states set a standard that few restaurants can measure up to? Maybe. But the more I reflect on this meal, the more I conclude that this is about Halls falling flat rather than my lofty standards. At least five steakhouses in Music City have sufficiently impressed me despite my vast experiences. And let's just say when you drop $80 at Halls for a dry-aged ribeye steak cooked medium and it comes out chewy, even tough in places, burnt in spots and partially inedible, even someone with little steak-consuming experience would feel cheated. Any cut of beef that runs $5 per ounce or more should NEVER evoke the word inedible! And when the server asks you to cut into your steak to ensure that it's cooked to your liking, but it takes a minute just to force a very sharp steak knife through the beef, that's a major warning sign!! The truffle butter is excellent and somewhat saved the disappointing steak, coming in a tremendous portion size. But the Hollandaise is very bland, seemingly butter and egg yolk without a hint of lemon nor spices. My parents were chefs, and they always stated that the quality of a restaurant's Hollandaise is a good indication of the chef's talent or lack thereof. And this was definitely lacking. The scallops are surprisingly small. The calamari appetizer is good but lacks our favorite part, the deep-fried tentacles. The crab soup isn't mind blowing but it's definitely good enough. The salmon was shockingly dry. And the loaded baked potato was superb but probably needed more cheese. Although, the cheddar was noticeably of excellent quality. We dined with two chefs who are friends of ours, and they echoed their dissatisfaction. Realistically, this was probably a three-star meal or just under. But when you're paying over $400 for a party of four that drank little alcohol, and when other steakhouses in Nashville execute fine dining MUCH better, you feel like you just wasted your money. Hence, Halls deserves the two-star review. The 4.2 rating on Yelp should have been a red flag, because most worthy fine dining restaurants tend to garner a 4.5 average at a minimum.

Hall's Chophouse was a slamming success! My fiancé and I found ourselves at Hall's Chophouse this past Saturday, and I cannot wait to go back! I had a dirty martini with stuffed olives and the scallop entree, my fiance had the bison filet and a glass of wine. The food was top notch (the scallops here blow the scallops from Perry out of the water...no pun intended). Our service was excellent, we had several people who attended to our needs, everyone smiling, pausing to say hello as we passed. We sat in the "back" I guess you could say, with a private bar and a beautiful look at the skyline. Live band was playing in the bar area for those who enjoy. All in all, waiting to return for another really wonderful experience, highly recommend.

This was just an average steak house with a high price. We had oysters Rockefeller, the thick cut bacon, salads, and waygu steak. All were just ok. The crust on the steak was good, but the steak itself 1/2 of it was incredibly tough. Our waitress was kind. The people watching out the windows was entertaining. I might come back for drinks in the bar.

They will not allow you to din if you are wearing jersey or athletic wear.

Do they have valet parking? Is there a fee for valet if available?

They have valet parking, but it is not complementary. It was $15 for a weekday and they asked to take money in advance. They also don't have the ability to charge to your check. The restaurant should offer complementary parking.

Do you allow BYOB? Corkage fee?

Yes it was $50 when we went a few weeks ago and they actually waived it.

The small signage made it a little difficult to find inside the Marriott (see pictures), but from the moment we walked in, heard the live piano player and saw the dining area - we knew this would be a great experience. We started off by sharing orders of Lobster Bisque (see picture) and Burrata with Toast (see pictures). We really enjoyed both of them - the Lobster Bisque was so creamy and smooth and the Burrata was cool, fresh and clean. They were a great combination to start our dinner experience and I would recommend both of them. Since it was a Friday during lent, my wife opted for the BBQ Shrimp Pasta (see picture) and I went with the Daily Fish Special on Blue Corn Grits (see picture). As we always do when we go out, we shared our plates and really enjoyed both of them. The BBQ Shrimp Pasta was rich, buttery and smooth and the Fish Special was a tasty white, flaky and blackened fish served on a bed of rich, creamy blue corn grits. Here again, both are highly recommended.
