Pretty dope pizza spot. Well hidden in an industrial building shared with a real estate developer company and rye breads. You'd never know the place was here unless you work in the building or Yelp it like I did. I got two Pizzas and a pasta dish to give them a fair shot. The cacio e pepe was pretty good, not the best I've ever had, but I'm bias being Italian and having had some of the best Italian in the world. That said, for a take out joint it was solid. Pasta was definitely in-house homemade. The sauce was flavorful, and the pasta was cooked al dente like it should always be. The pizzas were pepperoni and Margherita. Both had great tasting sauce but were a bit soggy/under toward the middle. That said, I think they were waiting a bit on the shelves while they were finishing the pasta. I did enjoy all the food overall and only spent about $50 which in this economy is solid for 3-4 adult sized dishes. Ambiance wise, they have a counter with stools in the front, but if you go across the hall, they have a massive loft style setting with leather tables, couches, and a patio. Service wise, I went around 5 pm, and they got extremely busy with a line out the door after I ordered. The cashier held it down though points to her. I do think they should get a second pos screen and cashier to assist her during peak, though. Overall, strong recommend. While not the best of pizza and pasta I've ever had that's entirely subjective and their value ratio is there. read more

Pasta: 2 out of 5 stars / Rigatoni pasta did not look like what it was supposed to from the pictures. And it was little too salty and soggy. I absolutely LOVE The Parlor. When I first came across it, I was excited by the pictures. Everything looked really good. When I walked in at first, I was confused. It was a walk-up counter with a small menu next to the cash register. This wasn't an issue, but based on the food pictures, I thought for sure this was going to be more "upscale." Don't let the entrance fool you. The food here is VERY good! Every single thing I have tried has been very good. Not everything is amazing, but it's all enjoyable. I have tried a few varieties of their pizza, salads, soup, sandwiches, and now their pasta. I have not had a single thing I didn't enjoy. The pizza has perfectly cooked dough, generous and unique toppings, and is the perfect size. Everything tastes fresh and high quality. The salads have the most perfectly selected lettuce I have had on a salad outside of a high-end restaurant. The dressing and toppings complement each other perfectly and there isn't too much of anything. The soups are all unique and nothing I have ever had before. They are loaded with ingredients and are a meal on their own. The sandwiches are huge and taste extremely fresh and are super filling. You can easily make 2 meals out of them. The pasta is where The Parlor really shines for me. It is served with a beautiful presentation, cooked to perfection, and has the perfect toppings to pasta ratio. Each bite is packed with flavor and the pasta has a nice al dente texture. The only downfall is how quiet the main dining area is. It feels like you need to whisper or else you will disturb someone. I don't like loud, but it's VERY quiet. Think library style dining... One tip is to get the pizza for dine-in OR make sure you have an oven to heat it up. If you don't, the crust gets water logged (to be expected with the toppings and this style of crust) and just isn't as good. This is NOT their fault; however, so no ding from me! I've been to the Parlor at least 10 times now and it's consistently good every time. I've had the rigatoni bolognese, the bucatini, and a few of the pizzas, but my go-to is always the Margherita pizza and a slice of the focaccia bread. I don't know why I love it so much, but I do, and they always give me a huge slice for the most part. I usually eat it for breakfast over the next couple of days and you get a little cup of olive oil with it. The pizza is always delicious and when I get it to-go(which is most of the time, I leave the lid open on the drive home so it doesn't get soggy. That usually does the trick. I get an Arnold Palmer and their tea/lemonade combo is delicious. The ladies who work there are always so very nice. I usually try to beat the lunch rush by going before 11:45, and the food comes out really fast. I've never had to wait more than like 10 minutes. The pizzas are a decent size, and thin, so if I'm really hungry, I can usually eat the entire thing (especially if it's Margherita), but most of the time, I eat just half. There's only a few seats inside the actual restaurant, but across the way is an open area with lots of seats/tables, but every time I've been there, all the tables are occupied by people who are working on their computers or meeting in groups. read more

Their Green goodness salad is super fresh and amazing! I love the amount of avocado they tossed in. The only dilemma I had was when I first tried the place out and got laughed at by the cook when he heard I asked for ranch...I felt a little uncomfortable but then the friendly cashier brushed it off and let me know they didn't carry any and instead offered some cheese and pepper flakes. Great find in Tustin area. The pizza was delicious. I highly recommend the Limone pizza, it was refreshing and lite. I actually liked it better than the pepperoni. The citrus salad was also really good. We also ordered a bottle of wine for $36 which was very reasonable. But you had to drink it in the main area by the counter, not the big dining hall. First time here after finding it on Yelp. Long week of work for the wife and I so we wanted to chill and have some good food. We had the short rib pasta and margherita pizza. The pizza was amazing! Dough was fluffy and sauce was perfect. Short rib was very good although my wife said it was way too salty. So what are the issues you ask. First the biggest issue was the booming bass. It was a Vegas nightclub volume with a driving EDM beat. Our chill night got high jacked by house music. There was nowhere to escape this noise. I love music and can handle Club music... in a club after 10pm. This was 5:30 on a Friday and well we aren't hopped up on coke so yeah it was way over the top. I mean who is making the music decisions from a business standpoint maybe play music that appeals to a more general public? Just a thought. Trust me there wasn't anyone in the restaurant vibing on Ecstasy. It was all adults that looked in pain trying to enjoy their salad while the bass tosses the salad off their fork. The other thing that really isn't on them but part of business was there were kids. Not a few but it felt like 100 screaming kids. I know I sound like a good time right now but I honestly love kids. I don't like parents who let their kids do whatever they want, run around and scream. Not cool. There was a lot of that. So food and service get 4-5 stars. Music got a giant -2 stars. Located in an industrial business complex lies Parlor - an independent Italian restaurant where take out is the focus as they only have two small tables but a ten feet away there is a large open area with tables, couches, and chairs to accommodate everyone and allow to partake in the cuisine. It may not be much as far as ambience but it serves its purpose and still comfortable atmosphere to dine. The service is polite and friendly whom make a concerted effort and come to check on you in the open area. The food is broken down into appetizers, salad, pasta, and pizza with an extensive wine list. Tried the Funghi Cavolo pizza (good crust, fresh produce, but lacking in notable flavor); the Margherita pizza (again good crust, fresh ingredients, and a zesty tangy red sauce); the Orecchiette pasta (a combination of savory and spice but too salty); and the highlight was the Bucatini all'Amatriciana (perfect al dente cooked noodles that is well balanced with tangy red sauce with pork). The seating area is a bit limited and is more for takeout and casual dining (but is perfect for people with small kids). Salad and side dishes were also excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect given its location in a more commercial area in Irvine. I was pleasantly surprised with fresh pasta, delicious pizzas and yummy salads. The team here are happy to make a recommendation and service is quick. Lots of outdoor seating next door with lots of space to spread out and even do work if you have the time. We enjoyed the funghi pizza, the bucatini and the vesuvio; all were very tasty. We also had the sodas from United Sodas of America for the first time and those were delicious as well. This place is legit! My wife and I were looking for a quick good quality spot to eat yesterday and we came across this place. Decided to come and it was a GREAT decision! The pasta dish we got had such a rich sauce that balanced the flavors perfectly, and the homemade pasta had the perfect al dente bite as well which is always a must! I went to this place because it was highly rated; however, my first experience was horrible. I called the place about 5 times until I finally was greeted and place on hold. I was on hold for 1hr and 2 minutes and nobody ever had the courtesy to come back to the line to take my order. I ended placing the order online for two pizzas. I was told that the order would be ready at a certain time but when I got there to pick up my order, I had to wait at least another 30 minutes. While I was waiting there, I noticed several food drivers very disappointed because they also had to wait for a very long time. The place seems to be understaffed. Only one register and the same person taking the orders is also the waitress. I also noticed that orders that were supposed to be to go orders where served to eat in so the same girl at the front had to fix it and place it to go. This place is amazing! My husband and I order the parlor salad, sausage and peppers pizza and the short rib Bolognese. All were flavorful and beautifully presented. The location of the restaurant is tucked in between some industrial buildings but their main dining hall is super cute, a lot of seating and some outdoor patio furniture. It was the Special (called the meat lovers Pizza) It had San Marzano tomatoes, Pecorino romano , Guanciale, Fennel sausage ,Fior di Latte and Fresh Oregano. After a long drive from No. CA for our son's weekend water polo tournament, we were craving pizza and stumbled upon The Parlor. So glad we did! Not only did the food, service and vibe exceed expectations, but we were blown away! Everything is made from scratch and the quality was excellent. No exaggeration... "The Parlor" salad was one of the best salads we've enjoyed this year. The woodfired sausage and pepper pizza rivals that of Tony's Pizza in North Beach, San Francisco. The short rib Bolognese rigatoni was so delicious, I cannot imagine NOT ordering it again when we return in the future. I highly recommend sharing salad, pizza, and pasta. And don't miss the desserts! The tiramisu and coconut cream pie are a wonderful finish to an amazing meal. Went here for lunch and in short, it was amazing! My friend and I split a Fiori e Limone and a citrus salad. The ingredients tasted so fresh and the crust on that pizza was perfect. The citrus on the pizza helped balance the pizza to create that perfect bite. They even have sauces, fresh pasta, and more for sale to take home. The staff is great! You can really tell they are passionate about the food there, plus, they were super helpful and friendly. Be sure to ask what their daily specials are! Had lunch there today, and very pleased with the awesome service. The outdoor seating and large inside spaces were better than I'd expected. The freshness and taste of our pasta and sandwich items were better than many high end formal restaurants, including the gelato! I had an issue with my sandwich that was my fault in terms of ingredients, and the staff very graciously re-made the sandwich at no extra charge.
