Nothing cheers me up more than a brick oven prepping a fresh ass pizza... It's sooooo good and I am so thankful The Parlor is not too far from where I live. My favorite salad is probably their Caesar (THE CHEESE), but every one of their pastas is a 10/10. You can't go wrong with fresh made pasta and the best sauces. The service is consistently wonderful. Everyone is warm, attentive, with a great personality. The ambiance is BUMPIN'. I can imagine the music getting kind of chaotic if I was there for hours, but it's fine for an hour or so. These kids wanted Domino's pizza, I said with all due respect, absolutely not, and they were so glad I brought them here instead! This hidden Italian gem is attached to the industrial-style dining room at Stafford Prime--kid- and dog-friendly, and open only until 8 p.m. on weekdays. The first time I stopped by (peak dinner hour on a Friday), the line was out the door, and I figured I wouldn't get to order before closing--so I left. But I finally made it back yesterday for an early dinner (lesson learned), and I'm so glad I did. We ordered the sausage & peppers pizza and the Fiori e limone pizza. The crust was perfect on both of them. Not only was it crispy and airy like the ones in Italy, it also tasted great. The sausage and peppers pizza was packed with flavor. The peppers tasted like pickled jalapeños. I was skeptical about the fiori e limone at first since I wasn't sure about having lemon slices and zucchini on pizza, but I understood the hype after the first bite. The flavors are light and bright but somehow still really satisfying. This place is dog friendly so we brought our puppy with us. This place has been on my list forever and finally got the chance to try it! In reality this place is a 3.5/5. The service itself was amazing and the spot that it is in is very cute and aesthetically pleasing. They had a good amount of items on the menu but opted in for pizza. The pizza we had picked was the sausage and peppers, first off the topping choices were amazing and everything went so well together and I was an extremely big fan of the crispy crust. However, the pizza felt a little soggy to me that really made the whole pizza fall flat. Not much sauce on it either because of that reason probably but wish the dough on the bottom was a little more crispy or denser so that it wouldnt flop over very easily and every thing falling off of it. Have been here so many times now ... Thought I had already written a review! We've eaten on site as well as had it to-go. This has got to be my favorite pizza place nearby. It's a bummer they don't open on the weekends. We've had almost every single pizza here. My favorites are the one with lemon, and the fennel sausage one. I also love their tomato soup and citrus salad. Sometimes the middle of the pizza can be a bit soggy if you get it to go. I ask for it to be a little well done if I'm eating there. They have great service and large seating space. We are very sad that they are not open weekends otherwise we'd come more often and bring friends. However food is always on point and delicious. Note: if you order wine to drink in the large seating space, it will be served in a paper cup. Food - think style crust pizza. Was looking for a New Haven pizza style and this came up. Ordered the sausage and peppers pizza and it sure was think crust and it was slightly spicy. When thinking New Haven style, it's indeed thin crust but slightly crispier. What I got was thin, but slightly on the softer side. Good but could be cooked a little more? I think I just need to ask for it to sit in their stone oven a little longer. Service - was good for what this place is Ambiance - it's a warehouse type off the business beaten path. The portion size was large and could easily have been a meal if I were to add a protein. The salad featured atypical salad toppings (cilantro, ricotta salata, pangratatto) and a creamy lime dressing. The location itself is primarily designed for pick-up with one small table and some window seating. The building The Parlor is located in has an area for dine-in across the hall, which the restaurant staff delivers to. I took my order to go, so I can't comment on the seating area. I love coming here whenever I hang with my mom. The green goddess salad is my favorite go-to item. The food is amazing, and this specific salad has like the perfect amount of flavor and crunch. This place is such a hidden gem! It is located in a business park. The seating area is set up like a brewery/warehouse style with plenty of seating. There are workers walking around making sure everything is clean and checking if we need anything. We tried the green goddess salad, pizza and the rigatoni pasta. I have eaten here several times and never disappointed. Prices are sensible since overhead is low. There are many reviews, but no mentions of alcohol. How do you dine on good pizza and pasta without wine or beer? They do sell good beer and wine which is supposed to be consumed in the few tables located where the kitchen is, but the absurdly loud music makes it hard to dine here . The owners of the building do not allow alcohol in the vast dining area adjacent their business. However, if you are discreet, you can take alcohol into the attached vast dining area at dinner time. But I decided to try something new and gave The Parlor a shot. And I'm so glad I did. I ordered Pepperoni and Fiori pizzas for takeout around 4:30 pm on Wednesday. The order was ready less than 15 minutes. The dough is chewy and flavorful, and yes, it actually gets better as you chew. For me, it always comes down to whether the crust is worth finishing. And in this case, it absolutely was. The toppings were fresh, simple, and well-balanced. Both were delicious. I'll definitely be going back to try more from the menu. read more
