The 25th Anniversary tea was so elegant in the Lobby. Savory items included miniature cucumber, lobster and shrimp, ham and cheese, and smoked salmon sandwiches as well as quiches. The delicate desserts included chess cakes, scones, chocolates, and pistachio items. There were multiple variety of teas. This was a good way to close Asian American Pacific month.

For my birthday...I was Gifted a Day at the SPA. Pedicure was the First Order of the Day. GOOSH; never knew a love like this Before ; for that Amazing Pedicure (Aldona ) my pedicurist. BRAVO bravo my Dear. I know that I was Blessed with Lucious Lunch; Fancy Burger and I Pray with some Good Ole French Fries Well unfortunately, the Fancy Burger never arrived (not once but twice ) . So needless to say I am unable to speak on the goodness of the burger since I didn't get to taste it. But everything else was the bomb. Overall experience; as you know by now; all of my reviews begin with 5 Stars and then depending on service, vibe, customer experience & satisfaction the Stars start to decrease. But I give 4 and a half stars. Next time I come back...I will require a room with an Amazing view.

Where do I start? We booked The Peninsula Chicago in advance and had the pleasure of speaking with the concierge Jaycee to help plan my husband's birthday. Jaycee was incredibly kind and took care of everything, making the experience seamless. He truly went above and beyond, and we're grateful for his help. Thanks to him, this birthday was memorable and special. Now, onto the check-in experience. The first room we were assigned wasn't quite what I expected due to a mix-up with the room type. However, once we were moved to a suite, everything improved significantly. The suite was fantastic and truly made our stay enjoyable. The only minor downside was that we forgot to bring the cake Jaycee had prepared for us, and the cute TV screensaver didn't transfer to the new room. I didn't mention this to the staff at the time, as I think they might have been tired of me by then! The stay felt a bit uneven in terms of staff interactions--most were friendly, but I did have a few run-ins with some staff members I spoke to about the room. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel--just be sure to request a suite for the best experience. I'll be back in Chicago next month, but I plan to try another hotel to compare. We are going to start visiting Chicago twice a year and we're searching for a hotel that feels like a home away from home. This one was great, but I want to explore other options to find the best vibe.

Limus at Vallet was such a delight! Everyone here has been great always with a smile and such grace. The breakfast was prepared to my liking and the service was fantastic, Attash (please forgive me if I did not spell it correctly) was our waiter and he was humming and making fun jokes he made our experience a delight. I highly recommend the Green Frittata, with sourdough toast (ask for light and fluffy). I asked for French vanilla creamer and he made one just for me bc they don't carry it. It was tasty creamy and delicious. I would highly recommend this place. Overall it was a lovely experience. The Pool area is nicely set up, with Spa water for your refreshment. Clean and well kept. The pool have lap chains for easy guidance and for lapping. Mattress is a cloud, the pillows and the down are pure luxury! Overall I am delighted with our stay! 5 stars all around. Thank you for everything.

The service was spectacular! I had two issues that were quickly resolved. The pool is fabulous! The suite on the 15th floor views were phenomenal. We had a salad and mini burgers from the kids menu. My kiddo gobbled up the burgers. The hotel is close to food and great shopping options. I highly recommend. Next time we will stay longer!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Such a treat to be treated with such great hospitality! The staff were all so kind and always had a smile. Not something I'm accustomed to so it felt special. I enjoyed the pool a lot too which has a hot tub and a spa connected to it which I also got to enjoy while there. In the changing rooms there's a steam room too! They have turn down service too which was pleasant. We ordered breakfast for 6a one morning due to an early flight and they delivered to our room right at 6, again with a smile and friendly conversation.

This king size bed was very comfortable and the ac kept us cool!

The Peninsula is an amazing first rate, five star hotel that goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests. To begin: The people: Everyone that we met, from the doormen, housekeepers, front desk staff and Omar Abdel-Wahed, the assistant director of front office was a pleasure to speak with. They consistently took the time to ask how our stay was going and if they could be of any assistance. Customer service is the hallmark of a great hotel and this box was checked at all times of our stay. Location: This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city, in short walking distance to incredible shopping on the Magnificent Mile, historical sites such as the Art Institute of Chicago and every type of restaurant you will ever need to enjoy your stay. You are literally in the heart of Chicago. Comfort: The rooms and accommodations are first rate and all amenities are included. The restaurant in the lobby was outstanding for breakfast and they always made the meals efficiently and to the guests preferences. Our regular server, Atichat, was superb. He knew exactly what we ordered previously and always took care of everything. Overall, we had an excellent stay and I would not hesitate to return to the Peninsula when I visit the Windy City again!

The Peninsula Chicago has been around '01, and they offer various rooms and suites, restaurants for dining, and spa and wellness treatments located on the 19th & 20th floors. The staff here are very kind and friendly, and are readily available to assist. I personally loved their art display, specifically their Nick Cave pieces! The elevators are a plenty, but a bit of a tight squeeze and can't hold many parties. Restrooms are clean and well-maintained, and there are also plenty of seating areas if you're waiting for your room and/or for your dining reservations. Valet parking is available if you purchase a package; otherwise, there is garage parking and very limited metered street parking. +great art collection +friendly and helpful staff

The Peninsula Chicago is absolutely stunning and so elegant. I went during a visit in Chicago for an afternoon tea themed Peter Rabbit with my teenage niece. We were blown away with how great the tea was. They even had a balcony with a small orchestra playing music. The music definitely gave me Bridgeton vibes with using current songs. The afternoon tea was amazing with a great selection of loose teas and delicious treats. The price is expensive but well worth the experience. My only regret is I didn't book a stay in this hotel. I'm sure the rooms are amazing.

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

So we sat there watching dozens of people get metal detected before going to the rooftop. So we were LATE to where we needed to go. Ordered $100 of room service. It was LATE so I called to cancel. Lady on the phone was rude, told me no and hung up on me mid sentence. I wasn't able to eat my share because well, it was LATE. Wife said her food simply wasn't good regardless. Something as simple as butter and jelly for the toast wasn't provided. Arrived back between meetings. Stood out front and in the lobby for over 15 minutes to try and give my keys to the valet attendant. No one was anywhere to be found. Wouldn't answer calls from the front desk. They finally took my keys then some dude chased me down saying they can't keep them and I have to keep waiting. Oh this made me LATE to my next meeting. $89 a day for poor performance was not worth it. I would 100% suggest parking yourself or a block over at London house. They always have 4+ attendants. Help with luggage and doors etc. oh and it's CHEAPER. We appreciated the room upgrade. The room itself was okay. It wouldn't get below 71 degrees and got upwards of 76 degrees during the day. Even with the shades closed. For as much as we spent, I would expect a lot more. Rooms were fine, but the service, in all aspects was not.

While searching hilton.com for a hotel to stay at on the day of my birthday, Hampton Inn Majestic…read moreChicago Theatre District was the first to pop-up within Chicago. I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

Although we grew up in the Chicago suburbs and know the city well, it was our first time staying at the Langham, and it left a strong impression. The most striking aspect was how spacious the room felt. We likely stayed in a Premier Room, which was quite large by city standards. The bed was massive, very comfortable, and just the right firmness. A detail that stands out is the space between the foot of the bed and the wall where the TV was mounted, which makes the room feel open and calm rather than cramped. The décor was elegant without feeling stuffy, highlighted by thoughtful touches like an espresso machine. The bathroom was another highlight: the frosted-glass window offered privacy while maintaining a sense of connection, and the rain shower had excellent water pressure and felt indulgent. The location is fantastic, convenient for work in the Loop, time in Grant Park, shopping on Michigan Avenue, or dining in River North or Fulton Market. During our trip, we ate nearby both nights, which made getting around easy and stress-free. The staff was warm and helpful throughout our stay, and breakfast at the hotel restaurant was memorable, even if the details are a bit hazy now. The lobby is beautiful, and several family members who stayed with us also commented on how much they enjoyed the hotel. At the time, pricing felt mid-range for a luxury hotel in Chicago, offering excellent value. It was summer, likely a less expensive time to visit, but even so, considering the room size, comfort, service, and location, it seemed like money well spent year-round. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We would happily return and are eager to explore other Langham properties worldwide.

I realize now that had I been traveling alone, and not with my family, it would have been cheaper to fly to Chicago, than drive the 4.5 hours from Ohio. Apparently the hospitality industry hasn't caught on to the current affordability crisis, or at least Marriott hasn't.

I typically stay here when I can while in Chicago, especially when the weather is bad, since it's a…read morethree-block walk from my office. Check in is quick, rooms are fine (and clean), and the executive lounge is nice. I was warned about eating in the bar on the first floor, which I hadn't done in a few years, but it was getting late, and the weather stunk. I saw friends in the bar area, so I took root at the table nearby. Service was fine, and I enjoyed a few of the Amber bee on draft. The menu looked good, and I ended up with a steak fried rice bowl. The steak was gross. It didn't even look like steak that should be served. It was fatty and tasteless. I ate less than 1/2 the rice and 1/3 of the steak. I wasn't starving, so it wasn't a huge deal, but those who told me to avoid the bar area for food were right.

I've been to Miru many times and finally got to try out the hotel for a staycation…read more Pros: -I loved that they had two restaurant options in the hotel. Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.
