I really wanted to love the burger here. When I received my burger it looked absolutely mouth watering. I was thoroughly impressed by the size and the toppings were plentiful. But unfortunately I was left disappointed. The entire burger lacked any satisfying flavor and despite having their signature sauce, bacon, cheese and grilled onions. Meat was slightly overcooked for my tastes and didn't have any seasoning. Kind of reminded me of a burger you would get at a backyard family BBQ. Had a burger from this food truck on my way to the Mariners game. Frankly, I was disappointed. I ate a whole burger, and when I was finished, I felt full but not satisfied. There was just a lack of flavor. Service was friendly. When we arrived, there was only one other customer ahead of us, and we had to wait for our food for like 10 minutes, which wasn't terrible. The line got very long soon after, so those people were waiting a while. Next time I would opt for a hot dog from a neighboring tent instead. read more

The fries were some of the best fries I've had in my life. Seriously; perfectly cooked, crispy, some kind of Cajun seasoning and just overall delicious. I ordered those with my Drive-In burger which I unfortunately can't say the same for. The taste was mostly ok and they got the pieces right to replicate the classic drive-in style burger. I would have preferred multiple thinner patties in the same vain as your In-N-Out/Shake Shack-style smashburger, but maybe the thicker patty is a deliberate design decision on the part of the food cart owners, I can respect that. However, my burger was significantly undercooked. That's the reason for the low-star review. This is just my personal experience and yours might be better. In any case, if you're looking for a good snack, definitely get the fries. I hope other people had better luck here. read more

First time at this truck and I loved it. I had the classic (without the sauce) and a side of fries. The burger was somewhere between medium and medium well, and the fries were just right. I couldn't finish my food, so I'm not sure what's up with anyone saying they were still hungry after eating. Maybe they are used to larger portions? But seriously this is plenty especially factoring in the artery-clogging and the calorie content you get with consuming this type of meal. Saw that the People's Burger food truck was in the neighborhood so thought we would give it a try. I had the Grizzly and she had the Classic. Priced around $10 and $9. We also shared the Boatload of Fries about $5 which were plentiful and wonderfully crispy. The burgers were sensational. Some of the best we have ever had. Lots of sauce, which I loved. We barely finished the huge burgers and had plenty of fries for another day. Friendly people, great price and a nice find. Two thunbs up! read more

The guy who took my order was also the guy putting toppings and fries with the orders. He was wearing gloves while taking orders (including credit cards and cash)...and wore the same gloves when he turned around to put the toppings on the burgers. When he handed me the receipt, it was dripping in grease because of those gloves. I watched him do about 5 more orders and wanted to leave because it was so gross. He was literally touching lettuce, tomato and reaching into the bowl of fries with no tongs. But I alresdy waited 15 minutes. I told him to not do that anymore and left. Pretty gross!!!!! This is my first review of a food truck. And it will be glowing. We were pretty hungry after a Mariners game, and before we joined the Sounders fans at Century Link we wanted a bite. The People's Burger accepts VISA/MC, so it was our first and only choice, aside from eating the crap inside CL. Boy are we glad we did. We ordered 2 Jalapeno burgers, and when we actually saw how large they were we almost wished we split 1. Then we tasted it and forgot about our waistline for a few minutes of bliss. The service is a bit slow on game day, but to be expected with a product so good. After we ordered the head chef/line cook yelled out, "Only take 6 more orders, we are SOLD OUT" So glad we stumbled into this food truck early! Epilogue: As we waiting to get into Century Link, we finished our massive burgers. Delicious! Thanks TPB! I went to the food truck near the stadiums last week (May 1st ish) and it was absolutely amazing. The guy who made the burger did a great job. I had the "Shroom" burger and the quality of the overall product along with the burger itself was above anything you can get in Pioneer Square. However... Today (May 8th) I went to the truck and was excited to get the same burger I had last week. There were 2 different people working the truck, and I got the Shroom burger again. This burger is just a basic burger with Gorgonzola cheese, mushrooms, and arugula along with their special sauce. This time the bun was burnt, the burger was burnt, and last time I checked... spinach is NOT arugula. I will not be going back there. Inconsistency is not a good thing in any type of restaurant. Was so happy to have found this food truck! My partner, myself and a couple of our friends were at the car show last weekend and this food truck was conveniently parked outside. Not only were the prices good, and the location convenient, but also the burgers were absolutely delicious. My partner had the jalapeño burger which was exquisite just the perfect heat to compliment the flavor of the burger. I went the other direction with mine, choosing the pbb and j. The hot sauce complimented the the peanut butter and bacon flavor and the jelly gave it a hint of sweetness that just tied the whole flavor together. We also got a large fry to split between the two of us and those things were gone so fast; not because they gave to few (we both left stuffed) but because they were so dang delicious. While we were at the truck the cook told us they were opening an actual restaurant; I cannot to go there and see how it all looks. Had the pleasure of stumbling into this food truck on our way to Safeco Field last week. I had the Drive-In, my boyfriend ordered the Shroom. Honestly, the best burger I've had in a while! The patty was HUGE and juicy and the sauce was drool worthy! We also ordered fries with a side of truck sauce - SO GOOD! Loved the crispness of the fries and once again, the sauce! "Bro...it's the best burger in town!" This was the expectation set by a gentleman munching on what looked to be a pretty hearty burger + fries combo just outside the black food truck that is The People's Burger. After such a claim, I felt it would be a disservice to myself and "The People" to not partake in this All-American tradition, especially on the way to see America's national pastime, and America's team - the Mariners...Ok, maybe I'm stretching with that last bit, but the other stuff is legit! Back to the review... The line was surprisingly short considering this is the only burger food truck along the way to Safeco/Century Link stadiums amidst a sea of samey hot dog vendors. The menu consists of around 8-10 burgers with one special. I guess the menu rotates from time to time, the selection is varied and I'd imagine most people will be able to find a topping combination they'll enjoy. The special was the chipotle burger so my buddy went with that. I was torn between a number of options, so I asked the guy working the register what was popular. He said the classic was the best followed by the jalapeno. I usually like to experiment with my burgers, burger snob and all that, but I decided I would trust this stranger with my burger destiny and went with the classic. The classic is just what it sounds like: A classic burger. A beef patty topped with cheddar, house sauce, arugula, tomato, and red onion. Yup, classic. Now if you recall, this was the most popular burger in a place described as the "best burger in town" so naturally I had to assume I was holding in my hands a holy relic, the best burger in all of Seattle. On that note, I came away a bit disappointed which is natural when something is hyped through the stratosphere. The burger is good, no doubt. Meaty, greasy, fresh toppings and just enough cheese to compliment without overpowering. Couldn't taste the house sauce (People's Sauce!) at all though so I had to supplement with some sriracha to dip for an added kick. Again, the burger is good, but best in town? Eh...no. The best burger in town is something I'd travel to Seattle for, that I'd go out of my way to eat. This particular burger is on the same level as Red Robin, a step below Quincy's out near Seattle Center, and a few steps below some of burgers at the Tap House Grill. That said, it is a great burger on the way to the ballgame, and beats a hot dog any day in my book. A quick note on the fries: They're homestyle, skin-on fries, and nothing special. A quick notes on my buddy's chipotle burger: He said he liked it, but that it also would not be his "best in town" and didn't end up finishing it. Regarding the service, atmosphere, and miscellaneous: This isn't the friendliest joint you'll go to in this alley of food trucks/carts. The guys are all tucked away grilling up burgers inside the truck, and the guy working the register doesn't chat much so don't go expecting a show of any sort. If you're looking for that, get a hot dog. The order-to-putting-burger-in-mouth time seems to vary, with some orders coming out very quickly while others (including my own) taking quite a while. Prices are a bit spendy for just a burger, think $8-9 range, and that doesn't include all the upsells like bacon ($2), fries ($2), and soda ($2). There's a fair amount of condiments to choose from including sriracha, ketchup, mayo, mustard, and a number of Jones brand soda flavors or water if that's your thing. Make sure to grab plenty of napkins, these are messy burgers! read more

But I was really hoping and expecting a lot more. I got the shroom burger, couldn't really taste the meat. I've been craving a good burger and the reviews for this (and its proximity to my office) prompted me to go. I was given #80 when I ordered, and they were calling #58. Okay. So I waited. And waited, and waited. I got my burger (classic, no onion, add fries) after half an hour. Both the guy taking my order and the guy serving were pleasant and friendly, but I couldn't help feeling like there was only one guy cooking back there and only making one order at a time. I was hungry but running out of time on my lunch break, so I ate the fries while walking back to the office. They were hand cut, perfectly crunchy, perfectly seasoned. A+. Back at my desk, I dove into the burger. Excellent toppings, tasty bun that didn't fall apart, but something was amiss with the patty. The char was good, the seasoning appropriate - maybe bits of onion mixed in? Only it was packed so densely that it was tough, and overcooked. I work in foodservice, I totally get health department regulations, but there's a reason most restaurants here have the warning about undercooked meat and do it anyway. The entire time I was eating it I wanted to like it but I just couldn't ignore the disappointment of the meat. tl;dr: everything is fabulous except the meat, which is the whole point of the burger, and was bad enough to make me bummed about the whole meal. For the burger, fries, and tax it was just under $11. Not a deal, but not too crazy - except the patty means I probably won't be going back. read more

I tired out this burger cart recently because it was by my work. It's not the best burger in town and it's sure not the worst. I waited for my burger for about 8-10 mins it seemed like the service could be a tad faster? The burger itself was good, toppings seemed fresh but I forgot to add the "truck sauce" and that's a big no no. That's why my burger was so dry and plain. Make sure you ask for truck sauce with your burger. The handmade fries were not bad but they came out cold, that was a bit of a let down. This place is worth a try just remember to ask for hot fries and truck sauce and you should be satisfied. :) read more

Randomly stopped by this stand before the Sounders game. Long story short, good burgers but do not order from here unless you have at least 30-40 minutes to spare before a game. It took 30 minutes to get our two hamburgers (ordered about 1:15 and didn't get food until 1:45) and we barely got to our seats in time for the 2 PM kick off. Our order number was 72 and they were only on order 57 so that's when I started to worry we might miss kick off. Of course, they didn't warn us that the wait would be so long because they need to make money as we and everybody else trying to get to the game 45 minutes prior would've definitely skipped eating there. I expected to wait 15 minutes but 30 minutes was too long. Food trucks are supposed to be on the faster side as that is their nature. If you can't pull that off, then you shouldn't be doing food trucks or just have a sit down restaurant. You certainly shouldn't be setting up at a busy sporting event. The nature of most people down there are grabbing a quick bite to eat before going into the stadium. Sad to say, but I'd rather have a regular fast food burger versus having to wait so long and possibly miss the start of a game. So, I give it a 3 star A-OK rating because burger was good but I definitely won't be eating there on any game day again. read more

I think it is safe to say pretty much any place you go has a burger on the menu. Anybody can make a burger but not many places can do it RIGHT. I ordered a Jalapeño Burger with Fries, it was outstanding. All the parts of the burger were very fresh and it was not nearly as greasy as I figured it would be. I asked about the fries because I was very impressed with the freshness and I found out that they are fresh cut every morning, damn this truck has dedication to its craft. This Burger truck has gourmet top shelf burgers. I am very excited to see what they put on the menu next. The People's Burger Truck is my go to place for a burger in Seattle at lunchtime!
