Our 1960s-era home is located adjacent to Angeles National Forest, so no surprise our new home had become a rodent residence during the recent cold spell, attracting a small family of rats to seek a warmer, safe place to ride out the winter. We had only moved in this last September and soon discovered a racket of tiny rodent feet tap dancing every night above our bedroom, which warranted a call to Chris and The Pest Group. Chris and his team came out at 8:30am immediately prepared to get working on identifying where our local wood and tree rats were coming and installed thick gauge wire mesh to repair our roof overhang. Another pair of his team removed the rat soiled insulation, thoroughly vacuumed and disinfected all of the surfaces in our attic, before installing a whole new span of batted insulation. I was impressed by the relative quiet and cleanliness of the process, and the polite attitude of all of the people who worked inside and outside. By early afternoon they had completed the entire project to satisfaction, including sealing additional points where our electricians had opened sections to run wire. I feel confident if there are any issues I can contact Chris and his home office to follow up with any necessary traps or additional updates. They're very communicative and follow up by phone calls all along the process, before and after, making it a point that they are ready to back up their efforts. A+ for being thorough and honest during our quote. They confirmed we do NOT have a rodent infestation and nothing needs to be done at this time. WOW. Turns out the rodents we saw are only outside and have not entered the house and these droppings are from a helpful lizard (two other companies confirmed they're lizard droppings bc of the white uric acid tip). They went around the attic and looked for evidence of rodents and obvious entry points and simply recommended monitoring the situation for now. That says something about this company. You constantly read reviews about pest control companies selling additional products or upcharging customers, so I just want to give credit where it's due and let people know these guys are honest, knowledgeable and thorough. I had some concerns regarding a possible carpet beetle or clothes moth infestation. With the warmer weather there have been more creepy crawlies in general so I think that added to my anxiety. I reached out via a message through Angi (which obviously did get me in touch with a service provider but is now flooding my inbox with junk so hopefully I unsubscribed from that). I then received a call from Betty within the hour after submitting that message and she left a voicemail and when I returned her call, she was ready to have someone out the very next day. I actually said it could wait so would another time work and yes, I was accommodated with that no problem. Additionally, I received two follow up calls reminding me of the scheduled appointment and then the day of when the technician was on his way. Betty was was professional and also extremely nice every time we spoke. I am downright terrible with names but the technician that came out did a very thorough inspection, listened to and respected my concerns, and patiently let me explain and show him some things around the apartment. He also left me some literature for reference which reiterated basically what he told me. At this time, everything is looking good (other than our carpet that is apparently very dirty deep down despite being professionally cleaned a month ago and my vacuuming daily as we have a cat). All of this was done at no charge! I appreciate that so tremendously! I did contact a few other pest control companies that either wanted to sign me up immediately for some maintenance plan or wanted to charge for the inspection if nothing was found. I get it, I took up someone's time and it turned out that I am not in need of their services so they didn't make any money. However, should I find myself in need of anything pest related, this is my first call. I will also gladly pass along a personal recommendation should that opportunity ever arise. I asked for a free inspection for rodents because I thought I heard rodents in the attic. Antoine (? Sorry if I got the spelling wrong) came and asked me some questions & said that it's probably not a rodent problem but that he would still do an inspection outside and in the attic. He was the sweetest & even though it turns out I do not have a rodent problem at the moment, if there ever is one (although I hope I don't have it), I would want to work with the PEST group because they seem very dedicated. I submitted a service request and they responded. I called them and I'm speaking to someone on the phone. She's talking to the manager asking him questions instead of just putting the manager on the phone. Then she says the manager or inspector will call me later or by tomorrow morning to discuss further. I told her if they want to inspect the home then it would be best for me if they schedule it for tomorrow. She assured me someone would call. Ok. Well, what do you know - NO PHONE CALL. They obviously didn't inspect my home but I received an email with a quote. How convenient of them. They couldn't make a phone call but they made enough time to send me a quote. I bought a new house and an inspection required to clean dead rats and drops in the attic so I just give a chance to this company so during escrow they came to "clean sanitize and seal " whatever holes was in the attic to prevent intrusion these was mid-December 2022during escrow a by end of January I hire an electrician to do some job and he was in the attic and call me to show me I have a lot of drops and a dead rats!!! I was so upset because this wanna-be company got paid thousands of dollars to clean and sanitize the attic and obviously they didn't right. I contact my agent to check the invoices before I call and ask why they didn't clean good, when I saw the invoice the only think it says was: clean and sanitize in the attic, really??? How unprofessional this company could be to not explain with details a job performed, when u apply for any license they teach you how to write an invoice, is this a real company??? So I call this company and explain everything and the girl only respond: well let me contact the technician and I call you back. Of course, she never call me back, after two weeks I call two or three times and never answer until a left a hard message she call me back and saying the technician will inspect the job. I ask her to tell the technician to bring shoe covers and drop clothes or plastic since last time they didn't wear anything in my new carpet ( another non professional not wear shoe covers in the houses) they show up today and I wasn't home I was working but my wife was here, she has to put plastic because technician doesn't protect my carpet plus they left my access for attic super dirty and a piece broken I'm super upset with this wanna be company stay away from these people nonprofessional charge like a real company and perform the worst job!!!! read more

We were having termite blooms in our enclosed patio. The termites would knock their heads against the wood ceiling making a loud creaking noise, then a bunch of flying termites would be flapping around the floor. There was also mini holes in the wood floor caused by the the tiny pests. It was clear we needed fumigation so I called and got quotes from 5+ termite exterminators in the area. The fumigation process was new to me but thankfully Brian from P.E.S.T. is a pro and he walked me through all the steps and made it easy for me to understand. Brian really went in to detail on how the species of termites I had attack wood and general facts, which I appreciated learning. Other useful knowledge he let me know is there are fumigators that directly handle the fumigation and then there are fumigators that hire third party fumigators who are much more expensive. On fumigation day, the team came over and made sure I safely packaged food items that I missed bagging due to thinking they were safe from the fumigation gas. I contracted with the Pest Group for extreminating cockroaches inside my parent's house. While we appreciate Antwan's flexibility to come on Saturday twice, however after two treatment inside and one treatment outside, the cockroaches are not completely exterminated. Either the material is weak and a stronger material must be used or enough material is not used and more material is needed. If this issue is not resolved soon, we may have to consider other options and even another exterminating company. read more

I thought I may have had an infestation at home, so I requested a quote. ROBERTO RIVERA and another gentleman came to check everything. The did a detailed scan of my living room and bedroom and said that they could not find anything. I suspected there at WORST may be bed bugs, but they said it was likely a bad day of mosquitos. I was grateful they were able to confirm that and offered to pay them for their time and they respectfully declined. Roberto said the only thing they ask is to think of them first and/or to refer them when others ask. Will definitely work with them in the future. Chris came over to take a look and did a through investigation and was very upfront and honest. We did not have termite issues and he clearly said he found nothing and never even once tried to sell me their quarterly pest control plan. Based on this experience I contacted him again to inspect my rental property. He did his investigation and came up with a treatment plan for termites and addressed the rodent problem in the rental home as well.
