I've had two pizzas from here (two separate days), and both have been BOMB. I do the "Publish Your Own", as their topping options are extensive and you get so many choices for free on the personal-sized 11" pie: up to 5 meats, up to 7 veg/fruit, and up to 3 finishing touches like hot honey, fresh herbs, or sauce drizzles for $13.95. Both of my pizzas had regular mozz and spicy marinara. The crust is superb, soft and pillowy. My first toppings were crumbled meatballs, jalapenos, olives, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, & minced garlic, topped with fresh basil - no notes. I got a little frisky with my second order and did sliced sweet Italian sausage, jalapenos, bell peppers, spinach, red onion, charred corn, & grape tomatoes, topped with fresh basil and a hot honey drizzle. It was phenomenal. I always order online, park in the building's retail lot (Otsego entrance), and pick up immediately - I've never had to wait. The restaurant itself is attractive (industrial chic and well-maintained) and they have beer on tap - I'll have to dine-in sometime. Folks here are super nice and they are hustling their best. I think sometimes the crowd can be a little weird and iffy (I've seen younger groups loiter around here) which may be cause of the ice cream space share but solid thin pizza and great wings! The salad is good but sometimes doesn't last a day in the fridge. I really like the people who work here even though I don't actually know them. If it seems like things are inconvenient, take it easy on them, I think they're juggling a few obstacles like the cup and the drinks aren't exactly an intuitive flow- but that's probably because of the younger teens hanging around.. etc. I also have to give this place props for being around for like a decade in the area! My order never came, I just got an email that said the wait time would be longer than usual and they would update the timing. They never did. I called the app and was on hold for over 25 mins and no one answered. I called the store and it went straight to voicemail with a mailbox that wasn't set up. I'm filing a fraud report with my credit card company against the app and store because this is truly unacceptable. Initial thoughts: parking is a bit difficult in this area, there is plenty of seating inside and out, you can order ahead or order on a tablet there and it's just a quick, and the price for a personal pizza is honestly the best I've seen in LA. it starts at $13 and comes with a lot of topping options and then goes up from there depending on what proteins you want to add. All in all I spend $33 on two personal pizzas with tax and tip. I think I was in and out in about 15 minutes and I got to order exactly what I wanted without compromising on toppings. The Hispanic woman at the register zoomed through the checkout process and told me the price was around 60 dollars...before my 10% tip. I asked for the receipt and it took her 15 minutes to get her manager, likely stalling to see if I'd leave. Guess what was on the receipt? TWO XL PIZZAS. There's no way you could mistake two pizzas that are smaller sizes for two XLs. It's hard to see that she made a mistake...but who knows. Luckily the manager stepped up and gave me a refund. One of your employees (women with red hair) treated me rudely and with negative attitude. She threw the change into my hand. After asking for her name, she refused to give me her name. She then proceeded to argue with me, a CUSTOMER. This is not how you treat people who are providing business to keep your doors open. I ordered "the Chronicle" and my husband made a "publish your own" , and I don't know which one I loved more, but I DO know we will be coming back to get them both again!! Okay so I come here pretty often, and the issue is not the quality of the food. The pizza is so good and always tastes fresh, the cookies and deep dish cookie is so good. The problem is the accuracy. If you do not come in store and order (if you order online, via Uber Eats, etc.), the order is almost ALWAYS wrong. Soooo frustrating.
