Something Happened here to the quality over the last year or so. From 2021 to 2023 I would order once a month. 2024 I ordered once every two months. In 2025 I ordered 3 times total because the quality had fallen off so hard. And in February of 2026 I just placed my final order ever. I'm not sure If this franchise was sold in the last 18 months or they just have an entirely untrained new staff, but whatever the issue is I will no longer be spending money there. 2 stars instead of 1 because as a chain Dominos is adequate. read more

We live within walking distance from this place. After 10 plus years, we finally got lured into ordering domino's by the nonstop 50% off commercials on TV. Not impressed even at half price! The pizzas ( people's pizza and Philly cheese pizza) did not look like the commercials and were both Bland. All the ingredients lacked flavor, unlike real Gourmet Pizza. You might question why would anyone expect gourmet pizza from Domino's. Well... the original price point before the 50% discount is so high, that you think the pizza would be much better than this. Delivery Driver is a female dog, left my pizza at the front of the hotel lobby when they told me he's going to bring up the food. The lady that placed my order over the phone was cool but she lied about a "$25 delivery fee." Upsold me on a lemonade i didn't want. And the delivery didn't even come up to $25 dollars lol. I normally don't have any problems ordering from here and I do so often but tonight was different for the first time. I placed an order at 11:41and even had a completed order at 11:51. I walked up to the door at 11:59 (this location being open later, I come from a little bit further away) to pick up my order and the lights are being turned off and the employees were leaving and I'm being told that my order was canceled. This I did not see until walking up. I did get two strange phone calls at 11:53/4 that were flagged as spam but no voicemail. I've been getting deliveries from this Toluca Lake location for 15 years. Never once have I had an issue with an order. The has been consistent for all these years. I always take advantage of specials otherwise it can be pricey. It is always delivered hot by the nicest drivers Gregor and Victor. I normally don't ever complain even if I'm not satisfied but I placed an order online in the morning for a delivery 12:15-12:30 and at 12:45 no delivery. I called & was told it would be out for delivery in 15mins. I advised students lunch is at 12:30. The girl got frustrated and placed me on hold for 5 mins then said they are heading out the door. He went above and beyond after the they forgot to give me the sauces I ordered. He took it upon himself to come back and deliver my ranch and hot sauces for me and my friends on a busy holiday night. Let's start with the basics. It's Domino's so what do you expect? So the pizza, compared to good pizza is still one or two stars. That said, once you know what is, there are ways to get a good Domino's experience. This location is hit or miss. I've had employees go out of their way for me, and I really appreciate that. A few weeks ago I was driving and around the corner and called for a pick up order and the guy said their storefront was closing, but since I was close he said I could order....and that pie came out good too. they followed my requests and it was a good Domino's experience. However, last week I called for a pick up order at 10:30 and a different guy (I suspect the one several people mention here) said their store is closed for pick up, only delivery. I almost gave him a delivery order but I wanted to think about it. When I hung up I went online and put in an order for pick up! When I showed up I asked him what was up? How come I could order pick up online when he said they were closed. He shrugged and said he did't feel like making more pizzas for pick up because they were busy. I asked why he didn't inform me that I could still order online for pick up...and he said he was busy and forgot, well, he admitted, he didn't really forget, he was just busy and didn't feel like doing it. Totally non apologetically! Like tough Sh1t! I didn't feel like being a Karen and asking his name to let management know, I mean, he was probably the manager. Now, writing a review might seem weird for Domino's but I don't think they get the love they deserve- especially this location!! The staff are always friendly- one definitely stood out to us. He works late nights (10pm) I think his name was Julio? The mask made it a little hard to hear. But he was so nice! The pizza come out DELICIOUS and most importantly, are consistent every order. This particular store deserves much better reviews than some of the " never will be happy " customers! They work hard and do a great job! I have to order carryout from this location, because my closest delivery location (the one on Lankershim) CANNOT HANDLE making a pizza with extra sauce. This location makes my very simple order perfectly (medium hand-tossed with regular cheese, extra sauce, and two toppings). I wish they could train the Lankershim location on technique. However, the worker who executed my carside pickup tonight sullied my experience. The parking lot at this location is tiny, with narrow spots, and it's always packed. When I pulled in, all spots on the Domino's/Perfect Parrot end were taken - including the 2 spots right in front of Domino's that were blocked by traffic cones. Other spots nearby were unusable due to inconsiderate SUV drivers parking over the lines. So I parked at about the halfway point of the lot, facing the street, texted "Here" and put on my hazards as directed. The worker came out with my pizza, and as I took the box from him, I started to say "Thank you", but he cut me off and SNAPPED at me that I should have parked closer to the store, because he couldn't see me right away. Ummm....okay sir, apparently you also couldn't see that there were no other available spots closer to the store??? He acted so exasperated, like that lot was the size of a Wal-Mart lot and he'd been trudging around looking for me for longer than the 30 seconds it took him to see my car. No wonder I don't order from Domino's but I had a craving for the marbled brownie (which was not great) and the chicken parm sandwich was all bread. I barely knew what I was eating! Whoever is the manager or owner of this location, really needs to have a team meeting for customer service. Went inside to pick up my pizza. I was standing there with another customer with no employee in site for almost 5 mins. Finally someone comes out from the back, does not acknowledge any customer in the store and starts to just take pizzas out the oven and boxing. Taking a very slow time to take the pizzas, cut them, and working on tickets. Mind you, myself and another customer are just standing there waiting. I was under the impression he is a pizza maker only and another employee will be helping us at the cashier. Nope, after another five minutes or more he then finally decides to ask for our names and give us our pizzas. When that could've been the originally instead of making us just stand there for 10+ minutes. Definitely need some sort of customer service team building in this branch. I hate leaving dominos a bad review because we literally eat dominos at the least once a week. We don't ever order from here because it's not my local dominos but I was next door getting my nails done with my husband and kids. Before we left we decided to order some pizzas to go, the young guy at the register takes my order and rings me up, he turns around after touching all that money and starts handing pizza dough without washing his hands! I asked him do you guys do this all the time?! Very very rarely order from Dominos, but decided to last night since most other places were closed for the holiday. The food was delivered lightning fast which was a plus, and everything was cooked nicely, nothing burnt! So that's great! The only complaint I really have with this location is that parking is horrible. tight spots mixed with people (including delivery guys) taking up multiple spots makes getting in and out extremely tricky at times. I've never had a bad experience ordering or picking up a pie however.
