The service was decent but the kitchen was slow. The food is mediocre at best and for the price tag at the end of the meal it was like being charged for eating out at a Cheesecake Factory but eating like your at Glory Days. My wife ordered their grilled cheese with bacon and crab dip. I ordered a Cesar salad with chicken 13 dollars with a 10 dollar upcharge for chicken!!! We got 2 mules (no alcohol) and our bill came to 97 dollars!!!! We will probably never return here. There's better food and ambiance with a more reasonable price tag elsewhere. Sat outside and under the tent next to the propane heater and asked if they could turn it on since it was cold, was told they are out kerosene and couldnt turn it on. Menus were paper printed and looked to be used, crinkled like its had food and drink spilled on it but dried and put back in service. Ordered waters to start and was told its 1$ bottled water and they needed my card to start a tab if I wanted my water. Ordered appetizers, no appetizer plates were brought out with it, no utensils, no napkins, no anything during the entire meal unless you specifically ask for it even if the waiter clearly sees you need it. It's not just the scrumptious recipes Miss Edie creates from scratch every single time, it's the sunny, upbeat staff who really seem to enjoy working for her and seeing the huge variety of people who come to Fells Point. This was my first time trying this place this past Saturday. It was my second choice as my first choice, Thames Street Oyster House was booked solid. The Point was a decent more affordable alternative. They have basic bar foods but with a Baltimore twist aka crab. For my entree, I ordered crab dip and a side salad. Their crab dip was creamy and had a fair amount of crab, could have been more. They also give you pretzel bites as a bread choice. I found the pretzel bites too salty due to their small size and had to scrape the salt off before eating. The side salad was a simple romaine, cucumber, onion and tomato affair. I also enjoyed a well made orange crush. One thing that I really didn't like was that they do not offer tap water as a beverage option. You must order bottle waters. That seemed like a way for them to pad the bill as it was one of the hottest days of the year. read more

Walking by and stopped in to try a grapefruit crush. The crush was one of the best I've had - fresh grapefruit with lemon lime soda and vodka - and was refreshing on a hot day. Went for brunch with a party of 8. Tried the brown sugar wings. They were good and we all did the bottomless drink option. I ordered the Baltimore club, after adding some old bay it was good although the shrimp salad had very little shrimp. Other ppl ordered the chicken and waffles and the steak and eggs. The best part of the brunch was our waitress Erin. She provided such great service and was extremely attentive. We never had to ask for refills even after the restaurant got busy. My mom and I stopped by around 1 PM on a Monday afternoon after walking down the street just looking for a place to eat. At the time, the establishment was bustling. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted so we chose a table right next to the window so we would be able to get a view of the water. Waiting for a server to come for us took a while and that seemed to be the theme for our meal: waiting. Getting our orders taken, food brought out, check brought out all took a lot of waiting around. Our server was thankfully very friendly and willing to help however there was a lot of down time so don't come here if you are on some sort of time crunch. But the atmosphere of the whole establishment is very laid back and friendly. Additionally, there were a few small hiccups along the way of the meal but thankfully the server was very efficient in getting them remedied. For the salad we ordered there was a fly that was in our dressing but they got that switched out when we pointed it out. Additionally, when you check into yelp you get 10% off the check, and though it was noted by the server when we first sat down he had forgotten but made sure to get it changed right away when the error was pointed out. As for food, the quality was mixed depending on the dish. We ordered a bowl of crab and corn chowder, Point house salad and seafood club sandwich that had juicy shrimp, lumpy crab cakes and was definitely the highlight of the meal. The salad was pretty average and also had some bad greens mixed in which was disappointing and the chowder could definitely be skipped, way too salty and thick. This was served with 3 sticks of carrots and 3 sticks of really thin celery. The portion was good to share as an appetizer but I had it for my main. The wings were nice and crispy, and I liked the old bay seasoning however, the brown sugar... It was overwhelmingly sweet and I was not a fan. 2. Fries ($4) - This was a great portion and the fries were thick and crispy. This was probably the best thing I had over there. 3. Build Your Own Flatbread ($7.50 base + $0.50 per topping) - I didn't have this but my coworker did. He said it was so-so, just a regular flatbread, nothing special and it was too small apparently. SERVICE When we asked the waitress how long the food will take, she got a little defensive that we asked. She was like "well, we have a small kitchen so everything here will take over 30 minutes". Aarrrr... okay, I was just curious since we were short on time. We decided to stay anyways but what a mistake, they took 50 minutes to bring out my French fries and fried wings. If there are nicer employees or business owners on the planet I have yet to find them. And, at my age, I've been to a lot of places. I was traveling from CA and staying in downtown Baltimore. Having heard about Fells Point, I ordered up an Uber to take me there. After 5-10 minutes of roaming around I noticed I didn't have my phone and walked back to where I was dropped off which happened to be The Point. I walked in and explained the situation to the barkeep (sorry to have forgotten his name) who let me use the house phone to contact Uber. Unfortunately, they were being less than helpful. Eva, the owner, then let me use her personal cell phone and other employees there provided ideas for getting my phone back. Eventually, It was returned 3 hours later. During that time Eva and her crew couldn't have been more compassionate. They seemed almost as worried for me as I was since without my phone, I had no money and no ID and a plane flight scheduled out of BWI the next morning. They even gave me a beer while I was waiting. They were quite yummy. I ordered the seafood club. It was so yummy but I could have done without the Old Bay Seasoning sprinkled on the edges. I know it's a Baltimore thing but it would have been great without it, next time. My date ordered a burger which he said was really good and juicy, cooked to his liking. This place is all right with me!! My husband and I went to visit this place once we heard about this "Wu Wednesday" business! We love Wu Tang Clan so this venture was a no brainer! I got a little creative and decided to make a reservation so we could eat dinner 1st so we can get the entire experience of this venue. Not only entertainment but food! When we walked in, this place was so crowded it was like standing room only! There wasn't a hostess available but the security guy put me over to the bartender who was able to seat us, the only downfall was, since it was after a certain time and although they still took my reservation in advance, there was no table service. We had to go to the bar to order our food items but it wasn't a problem because the bar menu wasn't very expensive, and the kitchen was super fast with our food. They had 2 for 1 specials, so we were able to eat off of a discount menu as well as partake in the drink specials until the music started from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. It's a very lively crowd here and there's no cover charge! The drinks are pretty good they use quality alcohol even w the discounts. I got a rum and pineapple and they used Bacardi Rum... all of the Bacardi Rum! My husband got the Buffalo Chickens Sliders! They had a special menu where all of the Sliders were discounted at 3 and 4 dollars each so he got 3 of those. I purchased a boiled crab cake sandwich off of the main menu. It was so good! It had bacon, some mayo, Old Bay, lettuce, and a few other ingredients to contribute to the delicious flavor. We will definitely return sooner than later not only for Wu Wednesday but to grab some good eats and bring more people with us! Brunch was sooooooooooo good! There was so much to choose from but, I settled on the Triple Crown. Who doesn't love a good Sous Vide?! This dish was so sumptuous and decadent. The lump used on this dish was soooo huge. Additional the zucchini held it's own as well. I also love this place because they have an unlimited mimosa option that you can mix. The drink selections are Bloodies, Screwdrivers, Natty Bohs, Mimosas and Sangrias. Additionally, they had oysters with caviar as a special of the day. 1.50 a pop. How can you not love that? I came here a few days ago with a group of friends for a last minute brunchm it was nice that they had jottomless mimosas/other drinks. However, the drinks did not taste as good as we expected. The service was very slow that day. We had to wait a really long time for service after having our order taken. We counted 45 min before getting water that we asked for. I think they are low on staff, or at least they were this day that I was there. I ordered the pumpkin french toast and the breakfast burrito. This low rating is a result of the level of customer service I received. I was there with a group of friends and family. I ordered the seafood club (minus bacon) which is my absolute favorite thing on the menu. I ordered the Demogorgon to drink. After having two some friends who arrived after me ordered the same drink from a different bartender and it was served in a mule cup instead of the small cup I had. When I asked my server/bartender (Rich) about it he said it's the same amount of alcohol just in a bigger cup. I tasted there's versus mine and they definitely had more alcohol. He asked what I wanted him to do about it and I said a complimentary one would be good. He said no. It wasn't that he said no but his sarcasm and demeanor made it worse. Shortly after he came back to the table with a glass of water and said here's your complimentary drink with more sarcasm. I'm not sure why he felt it was appropriate to carry on like that. I could've asked for the manager but it was a good chance he was the manager which would make things worse. I usually don't take the time to write a review. However, the service and experience at the point in fells point was so horrendous. I had to warn others. They offer a Sunday brunch which includes an optional $25 bottomless mimosas. We decided to go with a bottomless, mimosa option, and we're extremely displeased when we received our first round of drinks. They tasted more like white wine, mixed with water down fountain orange juice. When I went to the bar to politely just ask for a fresh round of mimosas the bartender rudely answered that she's not responsible for fixing servers mistakes, and I would need to talk to my server When I found my server, I politely asked him if he could possibly switch out for a fresh orange juice because when I was at the bar, I saw fresh pressed orange juice, being pressed, and lots of fresh pressed orange juice in the glass door refrigerator that's behind the bar. My server told me that he would get me the fresh orange juice and use fresh champagne to make me a new round of mimosas and bring them right out. I said great thank you so much I really appreciate it When he returned to the table with the remade drinks. They were the exact same as the first round although they did have a more of a champagne taste. It was the exact same water down fountain orange juice, which makes the drink taste completely awful When he brought the round of mimosas, I looked at him in his eyes and said this is not the fresh orange juice that I requested but I'm not going to return another round of drinks. I'll drink this but next time I order mimosas please do as I ask and give me the fresh orange juice, he nodded and walked away. At that point we had already ordered our appetizer, which was on a big brunch menu that featured a brunch special for the cinnamon stuffed toast. I pointed at the item on the special brunch menu when I ordered it from my server. The appetizer arrived pretty quickly to our table and we were very hungry so we started to dig in immediately, about halfway we noticed this is not a cinnamon stuffed French toast but rather a Nutella chocolate stuffed French toast drizzled with blueberries. We were a little bit confused and we had already ate half of the plate so at that point we just said well they must've run out of ingredients and had to make this different kind of French toast. It wasn't bad it just wasn't what we ordered. I don't like chocolate with my French toast. I would've never chose to order that and nobody had communicated with us. We were just confused . As we decided to take a look at the menu to look over what we were going to order for actual main course at brunch, We noticed that there was another stuffed French toast on that menu. There was a Nutella and fresh berry stuffed toast and which at which point I got upset because I realized that the server actually just rang in the total incorrect item........even though I pointed on the menu on the brunch menu what I was ordering. After my conversation with a manager I was feeling positive about continuing to finish my meal and enjoy my mimosas at the point in fells point unfortunately, that would not be the case When we received our bill at the end of our brunch, for two adults with two bottomless mimosas, Had a bill of $175 which included the 20% gratuity that the server had included for a party of 2. The menu says the gratuity will be added to parties of eight or more. I was surprised to see the gratuity had been added to a party of 2. I also noticed that I was charged an upcharge for every single Mimosa that was brought to the table, which was a fresh orange juice up charge. Even the one that the manager said was complementary for all the mishaps that had happened in the beginning of our dining experience was still on the bill and we never even got fresh orange juice. We got an orange slice crushed up in the bottom of our cup, added to the crappy fountain orange juice that they had been serving everybody. It just was a slap in the face to charge me for something that I didn't even receive and then on top of it, give yourself a 20% gratuity when you didn't even follow the simple instructions when I even gave you permission to charge me more you still took advantage of me And didn't give me what I asked and paid for I decided to just pay the bill and decided that I would never return there again or if I did, I would get the food to go so that I could enjoy the food without the bad service and the awful Mimosa's . They're staying in business because everyone just accepts this crap! I'm not going to accept these new low standards of the food and beverage industry. read more

First time in Baltimore found our way to this neighborhood and scanned Yelp, finally choosing this when first choice was full. We enjoyed the outdoor dining and our server was nice and capable. We enjoyed our entrees: crab cakes and seafood pasta. My son is allergic to seafood so had to go with steak which was not great but obviously not their specialty. Crab cakes were especially delicious as was pasta, snd enjoyed side Caesar and tots. Had the Flying Dog IPA (better than choices at Oriole Park) but still waiting to find good IPA on east coast. Not thrilled with the plastic utensils (cutting steak?) or small plastic beer glass. I have been to the Point for brunch several times in the past which has always been great (with bottomless options!) so I tried lunch today. The grapefruit and orange crushes were excellent and were $6 for happy hour...Happy hour on Fridays starts at 11am which is a bonus! I did the build your own sandwich and salad for lunch, which is a steal for $10. At first when it came out I thought it was really small, but I finished it and was full for hours. The blackened chicken was so so good. My only complaint was that the salad was absolutely drenched in dressing - good dressing, but couldn't finish the salad because it was so much. Literally one of my favorite places to brunch. They offer a good variety for brunch food and drinks. Bottomless mimosas, bloody Mary's, screwdrivers, sangria, and rum punch! My favorite things to get are the Salmon BLT (minus bread) and the fried chicken breakfast bowl! The staff is always so friendly, and you usually don't have to wait too long for seating.
