Been here 4 times in probably 2 weeks. All the experiences were great. The food was solid. Have had the Nashville hot chicken sammich, the chicken Tinga tacos, ceviche and wings. Atmosphere is lively. Music is fun. Just a great place to hang out and drink large beers whether just a date or a group of friends. Recently came in for trivia night and it was such a blast! Atmosphere was so much fun, food and drinks were delicious & our service was impeccable! The manager even came over and checked on us to make sure everything was amazing! Didn't catch his name but he was a bigger tattooed gentleman with a sweet southern accent! Was excited to try something new. Went in Sunday 6/12 around 2pm. Restaurant was not very busy, so we got seated immediately. Then we set for like 20-30 minutes, we were never acknowledged. Tons of staff walking around in circles. The host stand had several employees hanging out talking. Also, realized all the guests looked miserable and nobody had food on their table. Paper straws have to go! They dont work after a bit I dont even know why they try... Server could barely hear her and we barely saw her. The ceviche should be advertised as guacamole dip with shrimp. It was not ceviche and had very little shrimp, mostly guacamole and chips. Didn't have what we ordered so had to order something else. Burgers were okay but don't ask me what temp if you aren't going to cook it right. Took forever to get food and drinks and they weren't even busy. Took my girlfriend here I've never been here as well but I can't really complain about anything inside was beautiful, bar was huge and you get to seat yourself... the food was amazing I got the porch burger and fries, my girlfriend got chicken strips and truffle fries she told me those were the best truffle fries ever & I recommend both we shared are food and the food is amazing especially the sauces. The one thing that does suck is that the bathroom is outside... coming back though 10/10 read more

I don't know what else to say other than "wow"! This was the best experience I've ever had at a bar/restaurant. To start, the two brunette bartenders were so engaging, polite and even funny to boot! They made it feel like I was a priority, the only one... like I mattered... Food was good and the time it took to reach my table was pretty standard. I ordered the pretzel & cheese and it was a delight. The way the pretzel was made was perfect. Soft, fluffy and with just the perfect amount of salt (Yum!). They must use the best dairy because the cheese sauce was silky, creamy and just the right temperature -HOT. I had been to Porch before, but only recently started going back. My hubby and I went to The Porch last night for the first time w our friends. We were seated right away. They didn't appear to be super busy since it was early for dinner, but the service was very slow. We ordered our drinks and the jalapeno poppers for an appetizer. The poppers looked delicious but were hot and a little messy. We weren't given silverware, napkins or plates. We asked for them when the poppers were brought to us and they said they'd get them right away. We waited for quite awhile and our waitress was no where to be found. Then my friend got up and asked the hostess if we could get plates and utensils. Right before the hostess brought them, the waitress showed up w them. She was very nice but busy. The poppers were ok but the jalapeños were not cooked enough. I ordered the South Bowl with chicken. Delicious. Rice, beans, guacamole, pico, grilled chicken. Very good. My hubby ordered the Reuben with a side salad and loved both. My friend ordered the Cesar salad w salmon. She really liked hers. Her hubby ordered the Nashville chicken with fries. He really enjoyed his. So all in all, the food was yummy except I would ask to have the poppers cooked longer. Also need to make sure you have plenty of time! read more

So glad there is another awesome place to eat in downtown Gilbert. Went on a Friday around noon with my two kids. Although a little on the pricey side, the decor, environment, service ultimately was worth it. Ordered a couple 25oz beers and an order of the Golden BBQ boneless wings (Sooooo Good). Giving the benefit of the doubt here with a 3 because it really was more of a 2.5 experience. Rolled in just after 5 as an alternative to our favorite spot that had a wait. Got seated immediately, although right under the fans to the exterior doors (that weren't open btw other than the front entry door). Server grabbed the drink order of well margaritas pretty quickly and they were decent for happy hour. After that is when most of the experience went downhill. Ordered the fried pickles, porch burger, and cauliflower wings. Pickles we ok, but mostly heavy soft breading. Burger was good and cooked correctly as ordered, but wayyy messy with the amount of sauce placed on it. Cauliflower was the best part of the experience and had lots of flavor. Server went MIA for quite awhile after ordering another round of margaritas, but eventually got back around as food was being finished up. Then the bill came and that's where my major issue came up. HH "wells" were advertised for $6 a piece which is reasonable, however the bill indicated $8 a piece. I brought this up with the server and she also looked confused, then went to check why (not sure who she went to talk to). She came back and gave an explanation that it was an up charge to have a margarita, which is absolute ludicrous. So your charging me an extra $2 per drink for the margarita mix (it was very clearly a mix)? A well drink is a well drink is a well drink, how in the heck do you justify up charging because it's a margarita? Either way, won't be visiting again. It gave off a vibe that it might be a standard run of the mill over hyped place, but we hoped it would've been better than that! One other side note, they definitely don't mop the floors frequently because my shoe bottoms were STICKY after walking to the bathroom and back. read more

Was really excited to try this place. Was able to be seated quickly even though it was a Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to sit outside at a table with the swings. However we sat for over 20 minutes without a single person coming to check on us or take our order. We actually tried to walk around and find a waitress with no luck. Where to start.... YUM! We entertained a friend from out of town yesterday and chose to have dinner at The Porch I'm Gilbert. Host/Greeter=Friendly and personable. Server= totally on top of it. She never missed a beat! Food runner and Busser....met every need we had. Now, on to the food.... DELICIOUS! We tried the Buffalo Cauliflower and Waffle Chicken bites for apps. Loved both. My husband and i came to porch late saturday night to eat grilled cheese and the porch poppers and we were thrown back by the type of music the dj was playing and how loud it was, not what we were expecting and more of a place our daughter would go to. We sat in the lounge and our server Kelsey was extremely friendly and punctuate even in the amount of people there. She told us to come by on a week night or trivia night when it will seem a little more comfortable for us. I came here this past Saturday to celebrate my moms birthday because snooze had a 90 minute wait but decided waiting would be better than staying. To start we ordered the mimosa flight with a bottle of champagne & we got 4 dirty plastic flutes. 1 flute literally had dried pulp stuck on the inside& another has dried lipstick stains that were probably never scrubbed off. The juices came in a small plastic water cups & they were about half full - so only enough for a splash for each of us. Then I decided to order a coffee & was told it would be a 15 minutes wait ... ok whatever it was breakfast so I waited then I was brought my hot coffee in ANOTHER PLASTIC WATER CUP bc they were "out of mugs"?? It was literally dead inside. Our party of 5 didn't have to wait so I was confused on how there were no clean mugs or how no one bothered to wash one during the 15 minutes I waited for the brewing to finish. Ultimately we all got grossed out & decided to keep our spot in line at snooze. Also our server.. I wish I could remember her name but was the most unenergetic human being I have ever encountered, we were there to celebrate my moms birthday and have a good time drinking mimosas & she was not matching the energy. read more

The staff is inattentive and lethargic! My wife and I got on the waiting list for a hi top table and stood there inside and waited for 15min. During that time, I counted 2 hi tops, 5 booth tables, 2 larger tables on the floor, and 3 outdoor tables all not being filled while there were people continuously coming in either getting on the waiting list or turning around and leaving. The effing prick of a host, the guy, so lackadaisical without a care in the world could give two shiits about customer service or the business' bottom line. You Phukkers don't want to fill tables? I went there on 1/28/23 for dinner with my spouse. I unfortunately have to say we experienced some of the worst customer service from the moment we walked I. The door. The hostess seems annoyed that patrons came into the restaurant and wanted to sit at a table and not the bar, the table we sat at was horribly unsteady, and the waitress/server was more interested in playing with her by the register than doing her job during our time their. The food was sub par and dry. We got the grilled cheese and a vegetarian bowl. There was one server who brought me my second drink that had a friendly presence, but the rest of the staff seemed to be having a bad day. Maybe they were under staffed and stressed, if so, they sure let us know they did not want us there. For the prices The Porch demands, we were unimpressed. read more

We went here for brunch after running a 15K race, so we were a very hungry group. The staff were pleasant and we were seated right away, but unfortunately, that is the only nice thing I can say about our experience. The music was good, but so loud that we couldn't hear our server, and I'm pretty sure she couldn't hear us either since many of our orders were wrong. My husband's burrito came with the wrong fillings, but since we had waited nearly an hour after ordering by the time it came, he ate it anyway. Long after everyone else's food had arrived, mine still hadn't. We asked about it multiple times, but after everyone else had finished eating, my food had still not arrived, so we just left and I never got to eat. If the entire purpose of your business is to feed people and you can't manage that, you've failed. This was a terrible experience and we will not be returning. read more

Stopped in mid-day on a Thursday for a late lunch. The food and service were great. Waitress was attentive, food was really good. Stars knocked off because both of the doors were propped open and it was barely 50 out. Apparently the manager wants the doors open so the restaurant doesn't look closed from the outside. A simple "open" sign would do the trick. We were miserable through our entire meal. SO COLD. It was clear other diners felt the same, everyone had their coats on. Some folks walked in near us and left because it was so cold. If you want to dine here on a cold day, check those doors. If they're open, you may want to choose somewhere else. Very drafty and unpleasant, regardless of the fact that they said the heaters were on. read more

I took my family here on a Sunday night around 5pm. It wasn't busy at all, which was great for a newer restaurant. We got sat right away. We had a party of 5; my wife, 3 kids and myself. Atmosphere was good, definitely more of a sports bar feel, which the kids didn't mind. Plenty of TVs. Now the reason for the 1 star. We got sat at a booth near the back (like I said, the place was not very busy), then we sat there for 15mins with 3 kids before our waitress came over. We got up and left since the kids were thirsty and hungry and we were not planning on waiting to see how long it would take for drinks and food. Pretty disappointed. 15 mins is way too long to wait without kids, but especially with kids it was way too long. read more
