What an amazing treat inside of LIVE Casino in Philly. We came here for a birthday dinner and i was NOT disappointed. Hubby had a steak which he enjoyed. I had the Prime burger and wow! so stinking good. Who knew a burger can taste so good. It was huge so I had it for lunch too. The sides were so tasty. Fries yum! Lobster risotto - my favorite 5 Cheese mac and cheese - very good. Classic mashed was good I added a side of scallops and that was also amazing I loved the box of knives - You pick one to use .. such a cool touch. Customer Service was top notch I'll be back!

This amazing steak house is nestled in the Live! Casino and Hotel but dont let that deter you. The food is exceptional, delectable, and delicious all at once! The prime rib was cooked to perfection! Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful with all things on the menu and was able to help genuinely recommend things for us. She could tell us her personal favorites along with items that were frequently chosen by diners. The atmosphere is beautiful so dress to impress for a fine dinner and good cocktail with family and friends. But I wouldn't say its for kids. Absolutely bring your wallet too. Even though its higher priced, it is worth every dollar spent! Each flavor was booming in my mouth! I was absolutely in my element here. My friend and I will one hundred percent be back next time we come to Philly.

Best oysters I ever had? Quite possibly. Started with a dozen oysters, they will ask you what kind you want which is nice that you can customize your order. Half of our oysters were the type that are very large, and these were my absolute favorite. The other half were smaller, also good, but I preferred the larger oysters. The waiter tried to get us to order the 4oz Wagyu and I got the vibe he was just trying to have us run up a huge bill as they were pricing the Waygu at $135 for 4oz. We split the burger instead as I was not that hungry and also, we were not up versus the casino at this point in time. Burger was very good; after adding bacon this bad boy did come in just shy of forty dollars though, if you can't tell yet this place is quite pricey. I was glad we came here, and I can definitely see myself coming back here another time to sample more of their menu. As always people SYOY!!!

Order the Belgium waffle with fresh fruit this morning for breakfast. Always a pleasant experience dining at the prime rib, breakfast lunch dinner, doesn't matter what time of day, always top-notch food service ambience.

First time going to The Prime Rib for date night. It was amazing!! The vibe was great, complete with a live singer. The waiters were super nice and quick with service. The food was amazing. I wasn't a big fan of the oysters but my boyfriend seemed to like them. With each course, the food kept getting better and better. It's definitely pricey here but worth it! Will definitely be going back.

We had the best experience at the Prime Rib! The staff was amazing and so hospitable, particularly our bar friends Chantae, Ramaie, and Sianni (I apologize for probably butchering the spelling). They took such great care of us! They have such an impressive wine list, and the food was absolutely delicious (and huge portions)! Thank you again for a great night :)

We had an amazing dinner at the Prime Rib!! The sliders melted in my mouth!! The French Onion soup was delicious. Larry, the manager, was personable and professional. The service was outstanding!! Oh and the singer, Brooke, was amazing!! Great job- we will definitely be back!!!

We had a great time for dinner tonight. The space is very romantic and dark setting. They have a lot of dishes on their menu like tons of steak options and even fish. I settled for the salmon and it was delicious. I tried my friend's sea bass and it was even more delicious and very hot! Wonderful presentation too. Had a good evening!

We made a reservation for Father's Day. I love that parking is a no brainer. You just use the casino parking and there is not charge. This restaurant in spacious a is furnished exactly how you would expect a steakhouse to be. For me the tables for two are huge and I had to raise my voice to talk to my husband. Service was slow and not very attentive. There were several times that we had to flag down another server to get service. We ordered, lobster bisque and calamari for appetizer, these both were really good. For our entrees we order the 34 day aged steak, Chilean sea bass, sautéed spinach and scalloped potato. All of the food we found to be just okay. For me there were no flavors that stood out. Especially the steak which is an $85 steak. The sea bass had a good crust but still no real flavor. The sauce on the bottom of the plate was the best part. The potatoes were the least favorite. They were dry and lacked flavor. We also had creme brûlée and gelato for dessert. Again the creme brûlée looked the part but was not very good. The caramel gelato was good. I will say that this meal was not worth $363. This amount included our tip. I probably would not return here. I kind felt like I let the dad in my life down

My experience here was a mixed bag. We started off with the calamari and two cocktails. My sidecar was delicious. The calamari was pretty much perfect: Fried golden, seasoned, with a flavorful sauce that covered the bottom of the serving platter that was a nice surprise. For dinner I had the special, which was mahi mahi over mashed potatoes, topped with shrimp and a beurre blanc sauce. The sauce was perfection, the shrimp were good, the fish and mashed potatoes were just average for me. We also had a side of truffle Mac and cheese, it was the most disappointing part of our dinner. No flavor whatsoever. I finished with the crème brûlée which was a solid 9/10. It was an okay experience but at this price point I expect more consistency throughout the menu. Ambiance was dark and romantic. Service was good.

We celebrated my birthday there and I was a bit shocked when they didn't offer to comp a dessert, since most steakhouses usually do, but I didn't mind as it's not expected. Our second visit didn't live up to our first time experience. The steak we ordered was so raw that it was inedible. Luckily, we got 2 big entrees so we were able to enjoy one and take the steak to go and cook it a bit more to enjoy for dinner the day after. This third visit REALLY threw us off. First, we waited over 30 minutes to be seated. When we were finally seated, we were seated in what is likely the most uncomfortable seat in the restaurant. You would think if you just made someone wait 30 minutes past their reservation, you'd maybe give them the bigger table that's available to get them back in your good graces. I will say most of the food was very good. We ordered the crab and artichoke appetizer which was good but not great, and for dinner we ordered the duck which was cooked perfectly and the ribeye which was also cooked well. I had mentioned it was my birthday at the beginning of the meal. Since I didn't receive anything with my last birthday experience, I had no expectations of a comped dessert. That was until the young lady at the table next to us received a comped baked Alaska for her birthday. When it was my turn for the waiter to offer a dessert we were asked if we wanted to order anything. We said no and asked for the check. When they brought us the check, they finally remembered we had been delayed half an hour and that's when they offered a comped dessert. Why is it that someone else got a free dessert for their birthday and not me? If you're going to offer that to one you should offer to all. Other than that, the service overall was very lacking. We were checked in on 3 times during the night whereas the table next to us received constant check ins. Not sure what that was about since we had the same waiter. We were also seated and ordered before the table next to us and they received everything before us. Appetizer, dinner, dessert and check. Not sure why this happened but after tonight's disappointing experience and overall food inconsistency I have decided not to dine here anymore. More for tonight's service than anything else. Disappointing and overhyped.

The first impression was not especially auspicious. The restaurant is tucked away in the basement beneath a building on Walnut Street in Philadelphia, and at first glance the menu prices gave me pause. I ordered the 9-piece tasting menu with uni for $68, and every single piece of nigiri was exquisite. The fish practically melted in my mouth, with outstanding freshness, texture, and flavor. Each bite felt carefully crafted and perfectly balanced. The service was equally impressive. The staff was warm, cheerful, attentive, and made the entire experience feel welcoming and relaxed. I arrived toward the end of the evening, so the restaurant was pleasantly quiet, which made the meal even more enjoyable. This was truly a memorable dining experience. Every course was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates outstanding sushi. Minus 2 stars - as the end of the night, our server disappeared & when he did reappear, I could never get his attention to get the bill. I flagged someone else down but they just shrugged. It took me putting my jacket on (& 20 extra mins) to get Lawrence's attention. Also, it was close to the end of the night as we were wrapping up - maybe 9:30ish. There were still PLENTY of guests eating dinner, and the workers started breaking down tables in our section, moving things around, replacing large tables for smaller ones, etc. We're trying to have a nice (expensive!) dinner & workers are cleaning up around us. I was torn between here, Alpen Rose, and Butcher and Singer. This one was also close to the Hyatt Centric so I made a reservation for here. We got seated in the very corner of the dining room which was perfect. Otherwise, the tables here are way too close together. Dropping $300+ on dinner and being 3 feet from the table next to you is crazy. Now, the best item of the night was... **The FREE POPOVERS** I guess that can't be all that great if the best item on the menu is free. I'd come back here and keep getting more and more rounds of popovers and maybe skip a bunch of the other items we had. I must say the restaurant is beautiful inside. Up first, I had a $20 Smoke gets in your rye. Sadly, there is basically zero mezcal in the drink. There is absolutely no smoky or burnt taste. Pass on this drink. Up next, I tried a $23 Bombay Sapphire (Dirty Martini), and it was standard as it should be. Great blue cheese olives here. To start we split the $18 Caesar salad. We both really liked the salad. For the main entree, I ordered the $89 Ribeye. I thought it was just alright. The tricky thing at steakhouses is if a ribeye is done right it's the best thing on the menu. Here it's pretty bland. No seasoning, no salt, just a straight up slab of meat. It was fine, but not what you'd expect for a fancy steakhouse. My mom ordered the $72 8 oz filet mignon. And per usual, her filet was better than my ribeye. But it too was also very plain with little to no seasoning. For sides, we got the $18 mushrooms, and the $15 creamed spinach. I'd totally skip the spinach next time. The server insisted they were great, but it wasn't. Whoops. The mushrooms are totally worth ordering and was the 2nd best item of the night, after the popovers. We had a $16 deep dish cookie for dessert. Both of us really liked this. Would totally get this again. We spent over $300 and I thought the food was slightly above average. Once again, the popovers were the star of the night. If I'm back in Philly, I'll try Alpen Rose or Butcher and Singer next time.

The space is breathtaking--soaring 38-foot sculpted ceilings and a 34-foot wine tower at the center of the bar create a truly luxurious and unforgettable ambiance. The hospitality is just as impressive as the setting. Every member of the staff was professional and attentive, and the managers checked on us throughout the meal to ensure everything was perfect. Our waitress, Ayoola, was exceptional--warm, personable, and genuinely thoughtful. She made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. We began at the bar with a cocktail called the VIP, which was perfectly balanced--smooth, refreshing, and very easy to enjoy. I didn't even think to take a photo until we were nearly finished--that's always a good sign. The complimentary bread was outstanding--warm, buttery, and perfectly fluffy with a delicate texture. Easily one of the best I've had, and very hard to resist. My husband and I shared three appetizers, two mains, and three sides, and even the sides were generously portioned. It was quite a lot of food, but every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The tuna tartare--with avocado and prawn chips--was incredibly fresh, delicious, and well-seasoned, with a delicate balance that really let the quality of the fish shine. The medium-rare sesame ahi tuna was another standout--perfectly seared, tender, and rich in flavor. It was so good that my husband started digging in before I could even snap a photo. We couldn't even finish all the sides, and by the end, we were completely full and had to skip dessert--but that just gives us a reason to come back. An exceptional dining experience in every way--this is easily a 5-star experience, and one we'll be thinking about long after the meal.

Instead, we were treated in a way that felt humiliating and discriminatory. We were not allowed to sit or even properly discuss seating with the staff. Rather than treating us like paying guests, the situation escalated quickly and security was brought over to confront us. As two Black customers who were simply trying to dine, the entire interaction felt unnecessary and deeply uncomfortable. No one should be made to feel unwelcome or targeted when walking into a restaurant. The way this was handled left us feeling embarrassed and disrespected. Restaurants at this level should prioritize professionalism, respect, and equal treatment for all guests. I hope management seriously reviews how situations like this are handled so other customers don't have to experience the same treatment.

I'd heard the fish and chips were something special here, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. A generous piece of fish, fried beautifully -- not greasy at all -- that flaked perfectly with every bite. My niece doesn't eat fish, and even she took a bite and approved. High praise. But honestly? The star of the evening were the Madras Curry deviled eggs. Outstanding. Truly. And the dip with the perfectly toasted bread was equally impressive -- everything was prepared with real care. The drinks were lovely, and the atmosphere is in a category all its own. There is so much to look at. You could spend hours in there and still not catch everything on the walls. It's the kind of place that earns a second visit just to take it all in. Highly recommend -- whether it's a birthday, a date, or any excuse to get to Philly.

A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in directing me to the correct entrance. The space has a unique atmosphere. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails. While the burger wasn't a standout for me, I'd be willing to return and try other menu items.
