I didn't want to like it, but now I LOVE IT. This place is a small. hole in the wall restaurant off craycroft and it is amazing. The carne asada is cry good. The tacos I get are consistently amazing. Service is quick, it's an order at the counter place. I finally got a quesadilla and wow! I don't know what I was thinking sticking with the tacos alone. The food here is great. One of the best taco spots I have found in Tucson.

Signature dish is The Quesedilla of course, with Mesquite grilled meats grilled with cheese in home made wheat tortilla, and Store bought Corn is available. Tried Carne Asada and Pollo both yummy and they come with a small bean taco, that has a smattering of refrieds almost hard to taste bc it's pretty thin but appreciated. At $9.95 they are not nearly as filling as a burrito so it could be an expensive visit to fill up. They are quite cheesy, next time I'd ask for less so the smoky meat shines further. Wish they had whole beans to round out the plate, refrieds only. Didn't try the rice. Salsa Bar is awesome with pickled red onions and Ladles are labeled so you know whatcha pouring haha. Glad to have tried The Qs finally!

Very fresh and super cold salsa bar!

This little place is super cute! I loved the decor inside - very colorful - and the outside was fun too (kinda wish I took a pic). The staff was super friendly and helpful when I came in to place a to-go order. We tried a few different things. My boys had the carne asada quesadillas - they were a hit! And fun surprise: all quesadillas come with a bean taco! Big fans of the salsas too - lots of variety and all super cold and fresh, which I loved. I ordered the Sonoran hotdog, and honestly... didn't love it. Couldn't taste any jalapeño sauce, and the grilled onions were more like long strips and not very grilled. Just not my thing. Also tried the chicken bacon quesadilla - so good! It had green chile inside, which was such a nice touch. I'd totally get that again. Now I'm wishing they had a carne asada version with green chile - that would be perfect. My son tried the birria taco and said it had a really nice flavor, so adding that to the "get again" list too. They also sell desserts and homemade tortillas, which I didn't try this time but definitely will next visit. Great little salsa bar too - plenty of choices and everything was chilled just right. All in all - really cute spot, friendly folks, and a fun menu with some solid standouts. I'll be back!

This place is delicious as always. I got the lunch combo. Two tacos and a quesadilla for $12 after tax and fees. I always add grilled onions and jalapeño to the cheese quesadilla. I got the Al pastor and carne asada. My favorite salsas are still the jalapeño and cilantro cream. It was delicious. I came 15 minutes before close and the cashier asked if I was dining in. I said no but it really stuck out to me that despite being about to close she offered that. Hospitality goes a long way. Two more groups came in after me and she remained courteous until I left at 7:55. For that alone I'd continue to support this business!

Happy to see The Quesadillas are still banging out great food. Easily my fave taqueria on the East side; at Grant and Craycroft. So many salsas to choose from but my fave is still the fire-roasted. Always a good staff and very clean. Thanks for both.

Excellent customer service... We are allergic to everything capsicum... They made sure there was no chile in our food... The hot dog was delicious... Softest bread ever... The quesadilla was superb!

Arrived during the lunch rush, standing in line with local construction workers, physical therapists and the local retired ladies club. Tried the Sonoran Dog and it got the job done; just the basic dog, bacon, salsa, mustard and crema. Washed it down with a Mexican coke and headed out. Service was sufficient, nothing more nor less. A hole-in-the-wall vibe, filled with Tucson locals.

Love this place! Every time I come, I've had fresh delicious food, along with friendly, and quick service. Extremely affordable. The inside has lots of seating. I highly recommend the quesabirria or the shrimp tacos.

Wife's friend recommended this place. We were in the area so decided to try it. Nice little place. Not too crowded but it was 1pm. Ordered the lunch special. Three pastor tacos with corn tortillas. Wow! Didn't look like much but very good!! Tucson hardly ever disappoints with Mexican food. I definitely recommend this place. It's a little pricey (almost $11) but I think it's worth it. I'm sure I'll be back.

Hard to believe.... NO burritos available at this Mexican restaurant. The order taker barely knew what one was.

I had the carne asada tacos and al pastor quesadilla. It was very good. The meat was grilled over mesquite and the tortillas were perfect.

The interior is visually congested, not in a bad way but with lots of decor, seating, movement areas and etc. It makes a feeling of the space being busy and distracting. I prefer calmer spaces but it's not terrible. Service was prompt, frequent and wonderful. An older woman came by and asked how we wanted salsa and made us a bowl which was INCREDIBLE! So savory, spicy, fresh and left me wanting more. (You get a certain amount salsa and chips per person than you gotta pay). It was literally perfect. We weren't super hungry and wanted to share, to us the serving was more than enough for two. We enjoyed a house rocks margarita, grilled steak fajitas with rice and beans, sides of sour cream and guacamole and also some chips and salsa. It was all very well made, came out steaming and was very satisfying. The space felt cold to me, but seemed fine to all else. So just a note there if you run on the warmer side. I don't know if they do reservations, but I would imagine on some nights it would be a good idea seeing as they seem very busy.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient, checking in so often (perhaps too often) to make sure we were taken care of. As for the food, the birria tacos were amazing, packed with rich, flavorful meat and served with a delicious consommé dip for dunking. Every bite was better than the last. The meat was not tender or chewy, and it didn't really taste like anything. The rice and refried beans were in surprisingly small portions, and the jalapeno wasn't very spicy either.
