I've been a fan of RBT for about 6 years, but this visit changed that view. We arrive around 6 for a leisurely dinner with friends before the show at the Crighton. Our first disappointment was that they changed the menu to remove a couple of their signature dishes...the steak and the pork chops. I had the meatloaf, which was very good, but my wife had the chicken sandwich, which was almost inedible...tough as shoe leather. We were finishing up the main course when the server started removing our dishes...before O had a chance to finish up on the tasty collard greens. Then, the server brought the check without asking or offering dessert. When we questioned about the availability of dessert, the server had the audacity to say that we could have dessert, but there was quite a line of customers and they needed our table! She basically asked us to leave, abruptly ending our leisurely dinner unsatisfied. Definitely not the impression you want to make to anyone you want to come back to your restaurant. We are loyal local Conroe folks, but will definitely think twice! read more

We had brunch on Friday morning. It was the first time we had been there for breakfast & we're so glad we went. From the friendly staff to the fantastic drinks & food, everything was on point. The special Bloody Mary/Bloody Bull that Mark, the bar manager, made for me was the best one I've ever had. The flavor & spice were perfectly balanced. The Copperhead Brewery Cherry Medusa that he recommended for my husband was excellent for brunch with just enough cherry flavor without any sweetness. It went great with his Texas Poutine - steak fries with meat gravy, cheese, onions, jalapeño & eggs. The chicken & waffles that my granddaughter & I got were delicious - the chicken was very flavorful & crispy while the waffles were fluffy. The honey butter is an excellent addition. Our son had the brioche French toast with Kahlúa sauce that had just enough crisp to stand up to the honey butter & sauce. read more

This place a great find! Was greeted and seated quickly, had a fantastic waitress who gave numerous recommendations. It is always a good sign when your server gushes about all their favorites! Tried the cornbread with hatch peppers and it melted in your mouth! So delicious. Went classic with a grilled cheese. This is the first time my wife and I tried Red Brick Tavern. We were seated promptly. It was quite we were there around 3. Service was very good and food was really good. My wife ordered the blue cheese burger and I ordered meatloaf. We both enjoyed our food and had left overs to bring home. We will go back again. read more

If you're a regular I'm sure it's a good place to get drinks and see familiar faces. If you're in the area looking for a good meal this ain't it. It's a small place with tables and booths crammed in and staff that's nice enough but not attentive. I got bar food because I was suspicious about the vibes, and I was right -- the pizza was middle of the road, with a kinda dry crust that made me uninterested in the leftovers. My table tried some of the more restaurant-level fare with the the half chicken and the Cajun pasta, both of which tasted old and ended up not sitting well that evening in their stomachs. If someone asked me to see some live music there I'd go back, but I'd eat first and plan to leave early. read more

This place is great. Kind of small but definitely a fun atmosphere. They have live music most nights! A ton of beer on tap which they seem to switch out often so you can always try something new. The pizza is also good, although I've only ordered The Ring of Fire because I love spice. My wife and I have been coming here for a couple years now. The food is always great but the service could definitely use some work. The servers are never in a hurry to take your order or bring you the check when you're done. I had to get up and ask for the check last time I was here. It was slow and our server was just sitting down talking with another one of her coworkers. It was like she completely forgot about us. We were clearly done eating. This place is mediocre in terms of food. There's free 2 hour parking outside the restaurant so parking shouldn't be too hard to find. Our server greeted us and was pleasant. He forgot to fill our waters a few times unless was asked but overall the service is pretty friendly. The atmosphere is very much like a casual bar which is pretty cool as I saw there was a stage for live music. The prices are alright - I would say definitely quite expensive for being mediocre. We got the nachos to share and there was not much cheese or toppings on it. The chicken was tender and flavorful but it can't be loaded nachos with just chicken and some chips and a spoon of tomatoes. I got the crawfish and bacon carbonara which was the least expensive of my party's order and also the tastiest. Everyone else got the Mahi Mahi (barely gave them any vegetables and the cut of fish was tiny), the crusted chicken which my cousin said was kind of sour, and then the N'awlins Salmon was decent but also a little sour. All in all- get the carbonara! Save yourself the money for other items. read more

We were seated quickly, and our drinks came out fast I will say my coke was flat and not as carbonated as it should have been we sat at a booth near the front door. I ordered the Crawfish Fettuccine Carbonara and my friend ordered the Blackened Salmon Nawlins both dishes were delicious and neither of us could finish our food it was rich and a large portion! Ugh, it all was so disappointing. Chicken Enchiladas were made with canned chicken. Came with a side of fries. You know we're close to Mexico, right. Was missing cheese and beans as described on the menu. Gourmet hot dog was a joke. Pretzel bun does not make it gourmet. Deviled eggs were warm and tasteless with a hefty helping of paprika. Server forgot my salad. When I asked, she replied, "I had it in my hand." The server was too busy chatting with her friend who came in. Had to yell to get her attention. Nothing worth paying for. I took my wife and daughter for a late meal, thought I would try another restaraunt around the corner from here, but they wanted me to pay $30 cover just to eat there. That place was too loud anyway. We stopped at the redbrick after, they had music too, but it was not too loud, you could still talk and the music was better for us anyway. My wife and kid each ordered pizza, i ordered the meatloaf and a bowl of French Onion Soup. We had a few drinks. It was overall a nice environment. The food came and the pizzas looked great and they tasted pretty good too as i snuck a piece of each pizza. I had the meatloaf. It honestly made me wish i ordered the pizza. It was a decent size piece, had a small dollop of mashed potato on the top then doused in BBQ Sauce. I did not enjoy the meatloaf, it just had no flavor and it seemed like steamed ground beef. It was not for me. The best part was the mashed potatoes and it was the smallest amount on the plate. It includes a bowl of greens that was more broth from the cooking, than the greens. I did like the greens, wish there was more. I would not order the meatloaf again. My wife had a veggie pizza. It was good, thin crust, but sparse toppings. My daughter had a sausage pizza. The sausage had a nice fennel flavor the way it should be. Again sparse toppings. ** for the meatloaf ** for the server and service **** for the pizza **** for the music and environment Overall, it is a nice environment to have a drink, listen to some music and get a pizza. I think it is over priced for what you get on the pizza. 13.50 and 15.00 for each pizza, and it serves one.
