I've always wanted to try this local Conroe non chain restaurant. I actually saved a few pics of what I wanted to order. Upon approaching the restaurant I was very excited. Upon entering a band was blasting their music so loud I could not communicate with the wandering host or server. Couldn't even hear her! Wow! Loud music in nice but deafening music in a family restaurant sucks. I was led to a table or at least I think that was what was happening because I couldn't hear the nice lady speaking to me. Sadly I had to leave. Can't eat restaurant food in a music deafening atmosphere. Maybe I'll try in the afternoon another time. Their food did look good from the pics :)! I was a little disturbed when we entered and no staff had gloves or masks. Only our second time to venture out to dine in and the other place we went had all staff using masks Then the table behind us was not six feet away and the older gentleman at the table coughed incessantly. This is my second time coming here. I was searching for somewhere to eat and they were the only ones open at 10. Started with a $2 mimosa! Their Sunday menu is fantastic!! I decided on the Drunken French Onion soup bc of reviews and the Caprese salad bc I hadn't seen any pictures of it. This is one of the coolest places in Conroe & Montgomery. First time visiting and very impressed. Came for lunch on a weekday a little after noon. The service was great from being seated immediately to receiving food and drinks in good time. We only went appetizers on this visit. The chips and queso is good. Different recipe from your standard Mexican food joint. Also had a good spin on the chicken quesadilla. Solid representation. Finally had the cheeseburger sliders. Probably enjoyed them the most. They allow you to choose all of your toppings. Good presentation for all the above. Can't wait to return and try some entrees and pizza! read more

Delicious food. Great beer selection! What more could you need? (Other than perhaps a more visible beer sign) Every time I have been in, the waitstaff has been very friendly. I've tried the pork nachos, thai wings, margarita pizza, Blues Burger, and the mac & cheese all of which have been great! First time to visit here. It's located in the middle of downtown so it has an industrial, trendy kinda feel. Live music in the evenings. I ordered the meatloaf dinner which came with mashed potatoes, bbq sauce, and French fried onion. Meatloaf was very finely ground and mixed with onions and peppers and I think carrots. The mashed potatoes were homemade and topped with the bbq sauce and French fried onions. It also came with a bowl of greens, which had a buttery bacon broth. My husband ordered a BBQ sauce pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. It had LOTS of cheese and an abundance of toppings. The crust was a little flavorless but occasional bites had a buttery garlic flavor. Wasn't as crispy as we liked, could have been cooked longer. You couldn't hold a slice without it falling over. Would possibly come again later in the evening to hear the music but would ask for the pizza to be cooked a little longer. Price was as expected. One drink, pizza, and meatloaf dinner was $37 with tax. Ambiance was fun with cool tones and low lighting. Server was helpful and attentive. read more

After reading the reviews and since pizza is my favorite food I was so excited to try this place. Unfortunately it was a bad experience overall. The place was crowded and dirty, the menus they give you are paper but have been reused so many times that they have grease stains and dirt all over them I felt gross touching them. The pizza was nothing special either.. not disgusting but for $16 definitely not worth it... I've had better frozen microwaveable pizzas just saying. Our Server was strange too.. she brought our food to our table and walked away without saying a word. And then didn't come back to check on us the whole night.. We had to hunt her down for the check. We also came on a Saturday night and there was no live music.. I don't see the hype about this place and you can certainly find better service, food, prices, and cleanliness elsewhere. read more

Have been a few times and the food is great. Portions are large and justify the price. Memphis Pizza & Meatloaf sandwich were awesome! Only real complaint, which I think is a big deal, is that the restaurant seems to be understaffed. Perhaps it's to save costs but the service is slower than most restaurants. It is a small restaurant but when it's packed on a busy lunch, I have only seen 2 servers waiting on 6-8 tables each. Having large sections make the quality of service suffer. Again, the food is excellent and the selection of microbrew beers is top notch but when you're paying the price that Red Brick Tavern charges, you expect a higher quality of service. read more

I love this bar and restaurant! The owner is so nice and the staff are very friendly. The food is amazing! I've never been disappointed. They have live music on Thursday nights (and I think on some weekends too). The atmosphere is a lot of fun and they have TVs at the bar for sports fans! It has been a while since I visited the Red Brick tavern and I was looking forward to the welcoming homey atmosphere that I remembered it was definitely missing tonight When I asked the bartender about the beer selection he made no effort to explain the selection. He simply pointed to the menu and told me to scan the menu code offering no insight into which beer to select or asking my taste in beer might be. It was apparent he had zero interest in any of the beers on tap, in previous visits I enjoyed discovering new beers through a conversation with a knowledgeable bar tender. To add insult to injury on my second selection he poured 12 ounces and when I mentioned the menu listed it as a 16 ounce pour he gave me a questioning look. In my opinion with 12 beers on tap he should know what volume to pour. My final criticism is the menu did not list prices and the beer was definitely not worth the 15.00 dollar they charged for it. In my opinion the price should have been listed on the menu or perhaps the server might have been kind enough to mention the amount I was about to be charged and allow me to make an informed decision. The red brick was always full of patrons and tonight there were very few people in the place and I definitely won't be returning and it would appear others aren't either. read more

The start was a twenty minute wait from being seated to placing our order. I'd hate to see what it was like if it was busy. After that, the "Gourmet Meatloaf" was brought out piping room-temperature. Even aside from that, I didn't know that Vienna sausages were a prime ingredient in meatloaf... but the unmistakable flavor was there, even through the barbecue sauce slathered on top. A year ago or so they burned my fried oysters. I gave them a 2 which was not fair as food is usually excellent. Have had the fried oysters half a dozen times, always tell them jokingly, medium rare. Pulled pork items are good as are soups and salads. Steaks are good also. I have had one burger here and it was good, never have ordered a piazza. Bar is the best place to eat, never had to wait 20 minutes for service there. They have a couple of bartenders with personality and a couple of duds. I wish you luck! read more

I'd give this 2 1/2 stars. My burger was way over done and small. Sweet Potato Fries were hard in the middle. The hubby's Chicken Spinach was good. What bothered me the most was both of our plates were chipped. It's sort of a pet peeve of mine. It collects alot of bacteria! Came here for lunch and They were already tipsy people out front. Oh I loved this place, more importantly the kids did too! My 9 year old still talks about their pizza, and my (at that time) 1.4 year old's pupils literally dilated when she tried their black beans. The house beers are good, all their "yo bro, so craft" beers have that whiskey aftertaste you get to any cask fermented ale, but oh man was it an amazing experience. Poor, slow service. My pulled pork enchilidas were tasty. Our cornbread appetitizer was very dry. Hubby's roasted chicken was very dry; unfortunately, we were so hungry he ate about 1/2 of it so we didn't complain. However, when the waitress decided to come back and take his plate he mentioned the chicken. Her response was an aghast, "really?" and it wasn't mentioned again, no apology, nothing. The music was nice to enjoy while waited at our table for service. One of the few times the waitress "checked" on us (before she took our order) it was to ask we were there for the music (which hadn't startred yet) or to eat. I always rate this place 5 stars.....not this time. Service was terrible, Food didn't come out on time. An hour and a half. place is not that busy. My RBT grilled cheese was burnt. Sent it back, he "forgot" to remake it, however the "cook" managed to get the bartender's lunch to her on time. She got lunch, I didn't. Guess Customer service is dead here , too. This was my Daughters first time visiting with her husband. They won't be back, an order of chicken tenders was too hard to get right. The manager was not helpful. At least the waitress was nice. We Visited Red Brick Tavern after moving into town only a few weeks ago. The website looked really cool and lively. Once we got there the place was a bit run down and old. It has a very stale smell (like an old building) the tables and booths were very outdated and squeaked/ creaked from age. It was dead quiet and the clientele was interesting... Once we ordered the food we were very pleased. It was Really good food & we were very content with our meal. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is purely from an atmospheric perspective. Great time at the Red Brick Tavern. My wife and I had never been but decided to give it a try based upon a recommendation from a friend. We both had dinner and our food was excellent. I had the French Onion Soup and she had the Pulled Pork Enchiladas. Both were great as was the service. They had a live band playing which really added to the atmosphere. If a band called The Cards are playing we definitely recommend you go. They were one of the most entertaining high energy bands we have seen in a while. My wife and I tried this place for the first time. We wanted a "hole in the wall" kind of place, comfortable and cozy with good food and cold beer and we got just that. I had the grilled cheese and my wife had a monster burger right out of a gourmet chef's kitchen. We asked the waiter to choose a beer for us from the bar based on what we like and he hit a homerun with us both. The overall experience was exactly what we needed and hoped for.
