Found this place by wandering by on 6th Ave. The you pour it concept is really great for those of us who are indecisive or maybe risk averse in your drinking. Go ahead and try literally $.17 worth of that new sour beer and see if it's worth a pint. They also have board games and free popcorn. Ordered on line. Sandwich was gross. Not real grilled chicken breast. They didn't even bother to put my order in a bag plastic or paper. So sitting on my porch was a container of food which any one or thing could have opened. I tried to not waste $s and attempted to eat a few bites. Not. I couldn't stomach it. Great food, great beer, and great place! Fries were amazing and so were wings. However, the employees were not enforcing the mask mandate. One of the employees at the counter had the mask under their nose the whole time I was there, even pulled down to the chin at one point. Several customers walked in without masks on, but no employees cared to remind them of the mask mandate. I have taken pictures of such situation but will not post the picture on here for their sake. Also, the Redd Rooster had Canadian bacons on it -- which was not specified on the menu causing several people in my group to pick them off. read more

Went here for the first time tonight and didn't feel compelled to come back. The food is okay, and the vibe is fun- I could see it being a good place to hang out with friends. You order food from your phone, pour your own beer, and bus your own table. They ask for a tip on everything but at least the percentage options are reasonable. The staff could do better at noticing when a patron walks in or needs help. We walked in and no one greeted us for a few minutes, and then they helped the people who came in after us first. Two out of the three people working there were looking at their phones on the job and not aware of their surroundings. The menu is pretty standard pub fare and doesn't offer much for people who are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free. I was really hoping that their veggie burger was an Impossible burger, I honestly don't know anyone who likes a black bean burger. I came with my kids and one of the two high chairs they had was put together incorrectly with one of the straps facing backwards instead of forward so you couldn't safely use it with a small child. I let the person at the counter know that I could fix it and asked for a hex wrench. I fixed it and let them know and the response I got was "Oh". We live in the neighborhood and would be loyal customers if we were given a reason to come back. This restaurant is so much fun. You can pour a couple of ounces of beer for a multitude of flavors, and decide on your favorite. We ordered the pork sanwich which was excellent and a pizza. The pizza was great and we had it for breakfast the mext morning. We will absolutely return. My one criticism, is thst our meals did not come out together. The sandwich first, the pizza, 5 minutes later. I would have given 4 stars but the food was so good, and also the beer, I couldn't get myself to lower the score. read more

Engine house 9 was closed so we decided to check this place out since it was close by. The nachos I ordered were pretty decent. They attach a credit card to one of their cards to use as you pour your own beer. They keep that card on file and have now charged me extra beyond the beer and food I bought. The food you order online although they did deliver it to the table. Was not impressed with the lack of service yet they expect a tip? I called about the erroneous charge and the person I spoke to was brisk and stated they're getting ready to open and it will be a few hours. Hopefully this will be fixed and no extra charges will be added to my account. read more

The food is not great, but that's literally the only fault of Redd Dog. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is so fun. We first walked in bc we wanted to partake in Trivia Taco Night, but they wouldn't take our vertical ids. Not a big deal, but still a bummer. I asked why and they said that it's just management's preference, totally valid. We could tell by their busy-ness that this is a very popular activity in the community, and that everyone was having a great time, so they're doing something right! The host did ask if we wanted to place an order for food to take out, but we wanted to look around to see if there was another bar. Because we were short on time and I have Celiacs, we ultimately made a takeout order for Redd's online. We do like their variety of food options, and I was able to find a couple things to eat. When we came back to the restaurant, it was so busy that the Curbside To-Go Parking spots were full, and I called the restaurant to ask if there was another spot for us to pick up the order, and the host said on the phone, "Your order is ready, what do you want me to do about it?" Um. Okay. We can walk, still not a big deal, maybe they're just overwhelmed. So we parked by the O'Reilly's and walked to pick up the order, and my boyfriend could overhear the staff talking about our order saying, "They just HAD to make this more complicated." The host came up to my boyfriend, basically threw the food at him and said "So you came back anyway?" Even considering the benefit of the doubt that this was lighthearted and not meant to be a jab, this felt very unprofessional. We got the food, we brought it back (we're less than 15 minutes away) , and the presentation was... alright. The tacos were thrown around the box and cold, the pork didn't look cooked all the way. The gluten free garlic bread was pretty good, but still thrown around. I didn't finish my tacos because with my experience having an autoimmune disorder, if something doesn't seem right don't finish. My boyfriend was hungry though, and finished his tacos. Well... We're both sick with food poisoning this morning, him more so than me. We initially really wanted to come here because we were celebrating a special occasion, there's not many places I can eat/drink safely with my diet, and we wanted to join in a social gathering after recently turning 21. I'd like to try this place again with the reassurance that we'll have a better experience, but our first impression was very subpar. read more

While my first experience at The Redd Dog was worthy of a 1-star review, I would upgrade it to 3-stars because the management was able to rectify the situation by offering a refund. Ok. I have been coming here for a while now. Today when I came in it was right after they opened. First of all, I think the beer taps are too warm because all the pours were foam. Second, the tables and floor were filthy as if the night crew just left without doing a thing. Bathroom is a complete disaster. Now, on to my food. I ordered the Italian salad. It came drenched in dressing. Second, I ordered The Redd Otis pizza. It was supposed to have pepperoni, sun dried tomatoes, bacon and scallions. It came it it looked like a pepperoni pizza with sun dried tomatoes but no scallions or bacon visible. I pointed it out to the one person that was working in the front. She took it back to the kitchen and I could hear the cook saying "that's what she ordered". I finally asked him to come out and look at my pizza and he said "all I forgot was the scallions". I have recommended this place to so many people and honestly, I won't be back. Oh something to note, people are standing in line to get into different places on 6th Ave because it's a football playoff weekend. This place has 2 people in it, myself and one other. That's says a lot about how well this place has been doing. Makes me sad :( read more

Is the self checkout your favorite place because, by doing work for them, it means the store saves money that definitely won't be passed on to you as a savings? Then you'll LOVE The Redd Dog! Only here can you 1.) Not receive any table service at all, 2.) be expected to do virtually everything on your own [seriously, why not just have people go into the kitchen and cook for themselves, too?], all while you 3.) pay a premium for tiny portions despite doing everything yourself and 4.) be expected to leave them a tip for all the things you just did for yourself. This place is HEAVEN for anyone who wants almost exactly the same experience of drinking and eating at home but also desperately wants to pay someone else an exorbitant amount of money for the privilege of serving themselves. i was just here on saturday & it was a pretty wild exp. i mean the same thing every time the ones working before closing start closing down at 10 i almost felt rushed ? & saw them turn away customers around 10:25? the main reason this gets 1 star is because when me & my husband tried going to the restroom i noticed there was what looked like semen on the toilet seat cover .. i eventually said something to the girl that was closing & she said she "saw that & didn't clean it cuz she would puke" & im truly VERY uncomfortable knowing the staff here just leaves messes on purpose for other people to see & doesn't clean it up. super disgusting read more

Super cool, chill concept. The food was awesome, and I like pouring my own beer. It's like a froyo shop for beer lovers. I loved the look inside, the garage type door that comes up in the front on warm days is awesome. It's very clean inside as well. Lots of games to grab and play. Perfect for parents with kids too. Positive: really nice guy working, probably the owner, very helpful, great service!!! Hard to find good customer service anymore. This is the reason for a 4 star. Truly, I want to give it 2 or 3 but I'm sure the cons are new restaurant things that need worked out. Food was awful. Chicken wings were cold in the middle, the larger one was very cold. They are very meaty so that's a plus if they can cook them right. Nachos were heavy on the olives and light on everything else. Very light. Cheese was only melted on top layer. Chips would be awesome if they didn't taste like they were cooked in old grease. Great texture! Tots, gross. Sauce was very mayo tasting, old grease taste again. Ditto for the chips. The drinks, so fun to try all the things! Great price for it as well. Pretty confident a cider I tried was beer, I could be wrong, but it definitely like beer and no where near watermelon cider. I told the waitress and she brushed me off. Would of liked her to at least check it out or act like she cared. We won't be back but I do hope that they can get some things worked out. I went there with my family (2 adults, 5 kids) for dinner and had less than stellar service. The hostess was very rude and had a nasty attitude, she was on her phone if someone wasn't actively talking to her and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. We had ordered ranch with an entree and had asked for it several time and she never said it came from the kitchen with the rest of the food, she was very flippant, rolling her eyes and having an attitude when confronted about it, when she did bring it she was sarcastic "I went back to the kitchen and got it myself" to paraphrase. When you order with the QR code you tip before hand, I think most of the hosts know that so they think they can act however they want since the tip is guaranteed, but if you have kids (especially more than 2) you should bring cash to tip after. After reading some of the other reviews I agree that it is overpriced for what it is, because you pour your own drinks, clear your own tables, and never talk to the staff outside of receiving your food. Overall it's not a super nice family environment and has okay food, you overpay for minimal convenience and have the chance of having a rude host. read more

I've never been to a place with self serve taps. It was so unique! The "beeristas" were incredibly friendly and gave us the run down on how the place works. Free popcorn, good selection of beers, ciders, only a few wines though. The food was decent. They have lots of board/table top games to play in addition to shuffleboard.
