Man, this place is usually on point. Ate here on 10/4 saw the specials posted as we entered, said fried chicken. We were seated, waiter came up took our drink orders and started to tell us the special of the day which was a spinach stuffed pork chop. He left, brought us our drinks, then took our order. Our friends ordered the fried chicken, then was told by the waiter he'd have to go check since it was almost 3pm ( apparently a cut off time ) it was about 2:56, he came back and said okay, they could have the chicken. We ordered the pork chop special. A few minutes later he comes back to the table and tells us the pork chop special is not available til 5pm... we asked if we could get the fried chicken, he said yes. Well when the entrees showed up, it was clear that the chicken was over cooked and very dry... not the usual experience we've had here in the past... read more

We live in spring and decided to come here one Sunday after church. I always see this place as I workout at the LA fitness next to it. So took my wife and kids there and couldn't have been any pleased. Food was amazing!!! It was so good that I decided to treat my pastor and First Lady on yesterday. They were also pleased... Oh and special shout-out to our waitress Katie, she was amazing and had a wonderful personality... What would be pretty cool if they added more R&B, Soul, or funk to their music selection!! We went to the Spring location for our first time and were absolutely blown away! We decided that night it was our new favorite place! I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and had enough to take how for 2 more meals! My boyfriend had the filet and he is the pickiest eater of filet. He LOVED it! We also ordered the Caprese salad - so good! So we decided to take some friends with us for my birthday celebration on this past Saturday, 11/27. This is where the review goes South. Nothing to do with our waiter, Jamie, he was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. I'm not going to sit here and list all the things that went wrong as management and Jamie did their best to fix everything. We will go back as I am sure the kitchen was just having an off night. The place was great. Excellent service. Clint if I remembered his name correctly came by checking to make sure we were doing well. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The chicken fried steak I had was excellent. Decent size proposition. The place was well decorated and relaxing. It was interesting as I checked for the address after deciding to go there I came across a Republic Grille with 3.4 star rating. Monetarily I panicked as I never would intentionally go to such a poorly rated restaurant. Then I realized it was different location not the Spring, Texas location. It had a 4.6 star rating. Other things I liked was I am in a wheelchair and as we were approaching the front door to enter the greeter came out to open the door for me and when we left all the staff said good bye to us and hoped we had a great meal. My husband and I are new Texans and we have eaten here three times. Every meal has been a delight. The friendly and fun, but not intrusive wait staff are a plus here. Elastic night I enjoyed the blackened flounder which they can customize to your taste. (I get very tired of overly spicy and salty food so it's great that they can do this.) The fish was tender, delicious, and generously topped with shrimp. I ordered one of their lovely mimosa cocktails flavored with pineapple and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely I would order it again. In the past we have enjoyed the Grogan salad and the Tres Leches cake. Portions are generous and the ambiance is pleasant. We'll definitely be back! read more

After reading reviews about their salad, I just had to try it. I ordered the salmon salad and a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were a tad salty but otherwise perfect texture. They definitely mastered the thickness of the fry to ensure it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. As for the salad, I replaced the goat cheese with another other cheese and they sent with shredded cheese. I probably should've asked for feta since I saw that on another option but they went with shredded. I originally asked if I could forego the cheese and have avocados instead to replace it but instead I got both and was charged $1 for avocado. It's weird because you would think goat cheese is more expensive than an avocado. But anyways, the salmon was perfectly cooked and had enough seasoning that I didn't need dressing. That's usually how you know a salad is good - When you don't need to add dressing. The ratio of toppings to green was spot on and overall I enjoyed my meal. The service speed was decent and our waters never reached empty. Everyone else on the table enjoyed their food. read more

The food at Republic Grille is fantastic. We go there regularly and have tried most of the menu. Fabulous wedge salad, blackened flounder, and the panko Parmesan fish special on Thursday is to die for in a burre blanc sauce with capers. Strawberry shortcake is also not to be missed but ask for extra strawberry compote sauce because they don't serve enough. read more

Serving comfort food and other American bistro fare, this is the perfect place to unwind with good friends, good drinks, and amazing food. Start with the mac and cheese bites (creamy Mac and Cheese bites rolled in panko flakes and deep fried)...they are delish, but the ranch dipping sauce has just a touch of horseradish which makes it extra yummy! Any of the burgers are good, though I particularly love The Woodlands wrap...the chipotle sauce was just-right, and the sweet potato fries were perfection. If you're craving a beer, get the 4 Fireman's (it's on tap!!). Definitely will be back! read more
