The view is incredible overlooking all of west LA and Wilshire Blvd. While the food is good but not over the moon, and the drinks aren't bad, I would still call it a solid spot because of the location and ambiance. Drinks are a bit pricey for what they are. If a cocktail is close to $30, at least make it unique and presented in a pretty way. That would probably be my only complaint. Valet is $20. read more

This is a very nice totally outdoor restaurant with very good food. The menu is relatively small so don't go with high expectations of fine dining. People go there for the view and the location in the Waldorf Astoria. That being said the restaurant, being on an exposed rooftop, is a hit or a miss depending on the weather. When we arrived it was getting cold and I noticed people were wearing blankets even though there were heaters off to the side. In fact the restaurant was proving hotel blankets to diners who so requested. I did request a blanket and was told they had run out. After watching everyone shiver for a while the staff finally began lowering the umbrellas and setting out the heaters. They placed one directly over the head of our guest who was celebrating her birthday and we thought her head was going to catch on fire. She finally took her napkin and put it on her head until we could get a waiter to move the heater. Now I have to say it was not an especially cold day, but it was very cold on the roof. Also on the roof was a swimming pool that was totally empty. I would recommend this restaurant for the ambiance, but keep the weather into consideration. It is probably great during warm or summer days, and is probably the worst place in the world on really cold and rainy days. For our meal we started with the Spring Pea Guacamole with Warm Tortilla Chips. It was very good and more than enough for 2 persons. I had the Grass-Fed Burger which came perfectly prepared but with totally cold french fries (probably due to the cold breeze). The waiter forgot to bring catsup and I had to walk over to the serving area to request it. This was a minor inconvenience. I would definitely go again -- on a warmer day. read more

A few things: Appetizers - cold Steaks- overdone Birthday cakes - dry and seemed like they were days old ( also didn't bother to send them with utensils so we just sat around until we could flag someone) Cookies - old and hard. I never was asked if I would like my drink refreshed. The only thing the waitress did was try and sell bottles. Embarrassing. My husband had the worst time at his birthday dinner - hated his tough steak and was not at all impressed when it should have been just a lovely amazing experience. Then after all that... I had to pay $1200 for this horrible horrible meal. Just a mess. read more

Our waitress Adriana was great, she was kind enough to split a shared entree into two plates and even brought out a complimentary dessert for the birthday girl. One of top three (if not the top) views of the city. We came here Friday night, their 2nd day of open, and it was lit AF. We arrived at around 6:15pm and were seated immediately. It was the perfect place to people-watch as it was in the center of everything, and we were seated next to the table of Beny Alagem and his group. Everyone from Steve Ballmer to Bijan to reality stars stopped by their table to schmooze. We ordered a bunch of food and drinks, which took quite a bit of time to arrive. I guess they still have to iron this area out a bit as we had to follow-up numerous times for our orders. Our server seemed quite frazzled, and we did feel sorry for her. The food is typical upscale poolside/cafe: ahi tartare, lobster burger, eggplant fritters, etc. Nothing to write home about but for poolside food, it was pretty decent. So glad we got to go when we did; by the time we went downstairs to head to the restaurant (around 9:30 pm), a bouncer was already blocking people from using the elevator to go up. Gorgeous rooftop, extremely high prices for food and drinks. It's like the cost of admission. Food and drinks were not memorable but the view is. Make sure to have a reservation before coming since you will not likely have a table otherwise. They have some spots at the bar but those were all full when we were there. The views are better from the tables. It's a view of the Beverly Hills, which is pretty unique. There is also the restaurant in the hotel across the way that has a comparable view but this one has a different angle, since it covers multiple angles. Valet parking available. read more

I ordered the lobster burger and I was pretty disappointed. I did not like the burger, for me it just didn't work. My girl ordered a truffle burger and she mentioned it wasn't anything special. I even tried her burger and I thought it was better then my lobster burger but still not that great. I made a quick reservation through google when I were looking for driving direction. If you like taking photos, come very early on for better lighting. They do have lots of open space for people to strike a pose or doing group pictures. I had a feeling people here take 2 hours lunch and more people coming and going onto sunset. Noise level is okay, all guests are very polite and keeping conversation to themselves. However, the ground traffic beneath, the fire engines and helicopters traffic almost drove me crazy.
