Come here during happy hour for an experience with better value. It's located inside La Casa del Camino. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor fits perfectly with the beach and happy hour menu is available in all seating, so you can still grab an ocean view table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is friendly and checks in throughout. Food is the typical wings, coconut shrimp, and calamari, which are all delicious and well portioned. Pair it with local draft beer or a classic cocktail for $12. No parking with the hotel so start looking for street parking as you approach the hotel
We were warmly greeted downstairs by Felix, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After climbing a couple flights of stairs, we discovered the rooftop lounge. Don't laugh--they do have an elevator! I'm not sure how we missed it, but at least we got a little exercise in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Once upstairs, we were greeted by Everett, who was tending the bar. He took our order, offered excellent recommendations, and provided great service throughout our visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rooftop views were a plus. From our seats, we could see the water, which immediately caught my attention. While there are homes visible below, my eyes naturally gravitated toward the scenic waterfront views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks were delicious, we opted for a Summers drink. The empanadas were tasty, especially the chicken, the beef was decent. Combined with great service and affordable prices, it made for an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back!
The Rooftop was a wonderful experience. We did a weekday at the start of happy hour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was easy, we had a lovely view of the ocean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We were greeted quickly. They had both food and drinks available on the happy hour menu as well as other selections. I started with the espresso martini, and my husband got the house Pinot Noir. Both were delicious. We also got the calamari to start. Calamari was crispy and came with both a tartar and cocktail sauce, both were spot on. We then moved on to entees. I got the crispy chicken sandwich. It was hot but a honey hot. I would've preferred a spicy hot, but still, it was cooked very well. It came with fries that were hot and good. My husband opted for the barrio tacos, which he said were delicious.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was plenty of seating at the top of the rooftop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would suggest going earlier versus later. Service was wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views were amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Parking is limited to metered street parking. The Rooftop Lounge is located inside La Casa Del Camino Hotel, and while the views are beautiful, the food wasn't that great. I visited for brunch and ordered the Avocado Toast, which was disappointing, especially for $19. It came on whole wheat bread, with one slice with avocado spread and the other with what seemed like cream cheese (though I wasn't entirely sure). I ended up having to assemble it myself. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was good, though. Overall, I'd come back for the view and maybe drinks, but not for the food. A perfect, unobstructed view of the ocean while you enjoy good eats and yummy crafted cocktails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They even provide lap blankets upon request if and when you get a little chilly from the ocean breeze.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's at the tip of the La Casa de Camino hotel, which we were guests at for our anniversary, but most of the patrons at the lounge popped in from the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It definitely felt like a locals spot. It was super busy, we were lucky to get a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A destination spot for sure. I would return again when I'm in the area
Great way to spend Father's Day weekend at the bar watching US Open. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have updated decor with shades of ocean blue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu and Food has also been updated. We loved the Mediterranean chop salad and the Spicy Fried Southern Chicken sandwich and it was delish! Brad was a great bartender too! One suggestion is to add custom chair pads to the bar seats to cover the gap for the high bar
Been here a couple times now. The food is decent. The service staff is definitely running 1000 miles per hour. Seems like this place is always understaffed. The view is amazing. Overlooking Laguna beach so you can't beat that. I'd recommend this place for grabbing a drink and seeing the sunset. Cheers.
Rooftop Lounge is such a gem in Laguna Beach! The views alone are absolutely breathtaking -- cute local spot with ocean breeze, golden hour skies, and a coastal vibe that makes it feel like a mini vacation. We ordered the steak bites and wow -- delectable, perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. Birria tacos were excellent. I would just add the birria juices on the side for dipping. They had a delicious green salsa non spicy! Definitely a highlight of the evening. I also had the pomegranate martini and it was chef's kiss -- slightly tart with a sugar rim that balanced it out beautifully. So refreshing! Only reason it's not a full five stars is because the bread served with our baked brie had a few pieces that were moldy. Mistakes happen, and thankfully the staff corrected it right away without hesitation. They were kind and accommodating, but noticeably busy -- but they were decently fast. Overall, would absolutely come back. The ambiance and those coastal views are unmatched! Perfect spot for a sunset date night or chill catch-up with friends.

Truly some of the most stunning views I have ever enjoyed. This restaurant is very rare because a lot of businesses in the Laguna Beach area that benefit from a view skip out on the quality of food and rely on the atmosphere for the flow of customers, but the Rooftop Lounge has managed to achieve both good food, great drinks, and a stunning look of the ocean. We only tried out a couple of appetizers, all of which were nothing out of this world, but perfectly good, almost a homey feeling. The drinks were impressively strong and well priced, and the staff were so kind and friendly. I liked this place so much that I actually made a res on the spot for an upcoming event with friends and we are all very excited! read more

This is a great spot for good ocean views and outdoor eating, so maybe worth a visit once, but don't super need to go back. Veggie tacos and olive tapenade were very tasty and had great flavors. I would get those again. Service was super slow and really inattentive to us as customers, so did not feel like it was a great experience overall. It was poppin, so people must love it! read more

Visited for the fist time a few months back and we're now regulars! Amazing views (time your visit to watch the sunset), fun vibe, drinks are always a win and food is tasty (shoutouts to the coconut lime margaritas and shrimp cocktail!). Last night we had Jameson for a server who was thorough and didn't miss a thing! The manager Rachel keeps the lounge well staffed with fun and energetic people. So I highly recommend you check the weather report, look for a clear evening, bring a sweat shirt and have a great night up top. read more

loved this spot! it was a random find from google maps for a rooftop bar in the area after traveling for a work event. go through the main entrance of the hotel and there is a sign for the rooftop lounge! i honestly was not expecting much so i was blown away by the view, ambiance, and overall decor of the bar. it has a cute little picture spot at the top of the stairs and then a cutesy little blue bar. the service was great, we came around 4:30pm. we got drinks right away, the drinks were amazing, and the bartender was very nice. would definitely go again! didn't t any food read more

Sorry it's been a busy week so I'm barely trying to catch up on all my reviews from the last couple weeks by reading my notes that I took so be patient if you will.... The Rooftop Lounge here in Laguna is absolutely amazing ! The views are never ending, spectacular sunset's, beautiful candle lite tables, great for date nights, anniversary, any kind of party events, service is warm charming and always smiling & knowing the entire menu. Don't get me started on the food, WHAT A PLEASURE TO YOUR TASTE BUDS ! Come see for yourself there would be absolutely no regrets ! read more

Another successful Sunday rooftop meet up for some drinks! Always fun to walk into a cute boutique hotel then upstairs to the rooftop with beautiful blue skies, bars, ocean air, and high top tables. Not reservations needed for the high top and bar area. We came for a quick drink and bday exchange. Our waiter explained the drink menu so well, was patient with us gals and even took pictures for us. We will come back, and nice to bring guests. My drink wasn't as sweet as I would have hoped but sour but again it was a lemonade. Others drinks were well made and no complaints. read more

Laguna Beach is one of my fav spots in Southern California, and sitting on a rooftop deck sipping cocktails and eating fresh seafood is one of the best ways to see Laguna Beach from above. We got here just before happy hour was about to end and put in 3 orders of coconut shrimp, an order of mussels, the spicy tater tots and calamari, as well as drinks - margs and mojitos. We asked the server to come back before happy hour was up and we ordered Chardonnay and beers. The food was just the right amount for our group of four, and super tasty all around, although I prefer mussels cooked in white wine and garlic vs. a tomato-based sauce. Service was awesome, view was amazing, food delicious and filling, happy hour prices incredible and the company of my family one of my best memories of this most recent visit. My next visit I will be here right when happy hour starts so I can fully bask in the view, the food & drink, and company. Came here to bring our girlfriend from Canada to enjoy one last sunset in beautiful Southern California. We chose The Rooftop Lounge in Laguna Beach. Had an easy time getting here and found parking with very little effort. We made our way to the lounge. We showed up around 3pm, 1 hour into happy hour. We immediately ordered 3 espresso martinis. Came out relatively soon, almost as if they were already ready for us or knew that we were there for those specifically, haha. Our server was Kayla. A nice shout out to her as well as she took very good care of us. I can't imagine what Kayla must have thought of us. We ordered the Coconut Shrimp 3 different times!! These are the BEST Coconut Shrimp I have ever tasted in my life (and I've traveled the world)!!!! My husband and I will definitely be coming back here on our own for a date night. The whipped feta was delicious as well as the wedge potatoes. The calamari was basic and if you happen to order it, maybe try ordering a side of ranch. Chef's, if you happen to read this or get word of my review, try something new with the sauce. It tastes like straight out of the can. Love this little hidden rooftop bar! It's located on the top of the Casa Del Camino hotel and has a wonderful view of the ocean. There are lots of options for seating ranging from high tops to standard seating. We came here on a weekday afternoon, waiting for our reservation at another restaurant and we got lucky as it was right at happy hour. Since we already made dinner plans, we ended up grabbing some drinks which were very at great prices. I tried both the Classic Mojito ($9) and Mango Mojito ($9) and they were both well made. The drinks were super refreshing and the vibe was super relaxing. I would definitely be back for more drinks and to try out their food next time. The ambiance was fantastic. I'm never a fan when a server judges you based on the number of drinks you order. You won't have any of that here as the staff were all around courteous and friendly. The view, the view, the view. I've been to Rooftop three times since the new year, twice for brunch and once at night for a cocktail. The rooftop location on top of the Casa del Camino hotel has great ambiance and a complete view of the sparkling ocean. I recommend making a reservation on Resy before coming, as I find that I get a table with a closer view when I have one. Food: Rooftop meals leave a lot to be desired, especially for the price. I recently ordered their seasonal omelette, which is advertised to have roasted forest mushrooms, brie, and asparagus. What I received was a dry omelette with bits of chewy mushroom inside and random bits of melted brie, no asparagus. I didn't say anything because our server was absent for most of our time there. I am honest when I say I either always finish a meal or take home the leftovers. I couldn't finish the omelette and didn't bother with leftovers. I feel like a smother of hollandaise sauce or at least some bonus fillings to beef up the flavor would've helped the poor omelette. Drinks: I've tried the Jalapeno Business, Ocho Naranjas, and different varieties of their margarita options (spicy cucumber takes the cake). The flavors are good, but they aren't very strong. If you want that extra punch, maybe order a double. Overall, Rooftop is a beautiful rooftop lounge with magnificent views of the ocean where I can take out-of-town visitors to get a great view of Laguna and have a few drinks. read more

I've been coming here for years with friends, family, bfs and parents. The food is always great and the drinks even better... I'm not much of a drinker either. It would be really cool if they had mocktails but the cocktails are on par. Basically anywhere you sit they'll have a nice view for you. But if you want to sit next to the glass call ahead and make a reservation. Service is quick but they use a service elevator to bring your food up from the kitchen so I can see how it could take a while if they are busy. Definitely worth it though. read more

TLDR: Book a reservation on Resy otherwise you will not get a seat on the edge because the team onsite will tell you that those seats require a reservation and that they are fully booked (when they most definitely are not.) I've frequented the Rooftop Lounge often over the past several years and had never experienced anything out of the ordinary previously, hence why why I'm rating it 2 stars instead of 1. My latest experience, unfortunately, changed my perception. The website does not advertise any opportunity to create a reservation so I naively assumed there isn't a possibility to book an advance. I arrived before my friend and asked to sit at one of the several empty tables on the edge. The hostess informed me they are reservation only and that they are full fully reserved for the day. Thankfully, my friend was running late and I gave him a call frustrated that we could have had the opportunity to book via Resy to get one of those empty seats. He pulled up Resy on his phone and lo and behold there were actually several slots open immediately for that afternoon. he booked one of those and upon arrival asked for his table and sure enough we were seated at one of the many empty tables along the wall. I was absolutely floored, I could not believe it. Several tables remain empty the duration of our lunch and at one point I have a couple came and asked for one of the numerous empty tables and told the same thing I was. I have no idea what they're trying to accomplish or what they stand again by lying to their patrons. Very disappointed. read more

Best bet is to park on PCH - residential area around hotel. Not real difficult to find parking if you enjoy a little walk....

Before Coviid, you couldn't make a reservation. During Covid, reservations can be made and I would highly recommend it. Otherwise, you may not get in or there may be an extremely long wait.
