Come here during happy hour for an experience with better value. It's located inside La Casa del Camino. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor fits perfectly with the beach and happy hour menu is available in all seating, so you can still grab an ocean view table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is friendly and checks in throughout. Food is the typical wings, coconut shrimp, and calamari, which are all delicious and well portioned. Pair it with local draft beer or a classic cocktail for $12. No parking with the hotel so start looking for street parking as you approach the hotel

We were warmly greeted downstairs by Felix, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After climbing a couple flights of stairs, we discovered the rooftop lounge. Don't laugh--they do have an elevator! I'm not sure how we missed it, but at least we got a little exercise in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Once upstairs, we were greeted by Everett, who was tending the bar. He took our order, offered excellent recommendations, and provided great service throughout our visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rooftop views were a plus. From our seats, we could see the water, which immediately caught my attention. While there are homes visible below, my eyes naturally gravitated toward the scenic waterfront views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks were delicious, we opted for a Summers drink. The empanadas were tasty, especially the chicken, the beef was decent. Combined with great service and affordable prices, it made for an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back!

The Rooftop was a wonderful experience. We did a weekday at the start of happy hour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was easy, we had a lovely view of the ocean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. We were greeted quickly. They had both food and drinks available on the happy hour menu as well as other selections. I started with the espresso martini, and my husband got the house Pinot Noir. Both were delicious. We also got the calamari to start. Calamari was crispy and came with both a tartar and cocktail sauce, both were spot on. We then moved on to entees. I got the crispy chicken sandwich. It was hot but a honey hot. I would've preferred a spicy hot, but still, it was cooked very well. It came with fries that were hot and good. My husband opted for the barrio tacos, which he said were delicious.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was plenty of seating at the top of the rooftop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would suggest going earlier versus later. Service was wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views were amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I would rate 5 stars for the great service and breathtaking view of the ocean breeze.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is decent and the price is okay. I love the way they compromised the drink which had taken off the menu. Was a great met up with friend from Seattle.

I had a great time here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views were stunning[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the staff were very friendly. I got the cheeseburger and it was nice and juicy. The fries were very good too.

Parking is limited to metered street parking. The Rooftop Lounge is located inside La Casa Del Camino Hotel, and while the views are beautiful, the food wasn't that great. I visited for brunch and ordered the Avocado Toast, which was disappointing, especially for $19. It came on whole wheat bread, with one slice with avocado spread and the other with what seemed like cream cheese (though I wasn't entirely sure). I ended up having to assemble it myself. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was good, though. Overall, I'd come back for the view and maybe drinks, but not for the food. Recommendation(s): - Brussel Sprouts Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Street parking with a meter - Located inside the Casa Del Camino Hotel

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cool experience. A perfect, unobstructed view of the ocean while you enjoy good eats and yummy crafted cocktails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They even provide lap blankets upon request if and when you get a little chilly from the ocean breeze.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's at the tip of the La Casa de Camino hotel, which we were guests at for our anniversary, but most of the patrons at the lounge popped in from the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It definitely felt like a locals spot. It was super busy, we were lucky to get a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A destination spot for sure. I would return again when I'm in the area

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The cutest rooftop ever![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was so good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was breathtaking[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the service was impeccable! Thank you Steve for making our experience amazing! We had a great time and enjoyed amazing food as well!

The view and drinks here are unbelievable along with service. Their food options are ok, nothing special: guacamole had no flavor, seafood ceviche tasted blend, lacked seasoning. Will be back for the view, drinks and service again.

    US Open at the bar

Great way to spend Father's Day weekend at the bar watching US Open. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have updated decor with shades of ocean blue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu and Food has also been updated. We loved the Mediterranean chop salad and the Spicy Fried Southern Chicken sandwich and it was delish! Brad was a great bartender too! One suggestion is to add custom chair pads to the bar seats to cover the gap for the high bar

Been here a couple times now. The food is decent. The service staff is definitely running 1000 miles per hour. Seems like this place is always understaffed. The view is amazing. Overlooking Laguna beach so you can't beat that. I'd recommend this place for grabbing a drink and seeing the sunset. Cheers.

Rooftop Lounge is such a gem in Laguna Beach! The views alone are absolutely breathtaking -- cute local spot with ocean breeze, golden hour skies, and a coastal vibe that makes it feel like a mini vacation. We ordered the steak bites and wow -- delectable, perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. Birria tacos were excellent. I would just add the birria juices on the side for dipping. They had a delicious green salsa non spicy! Definitely a highlight of the evening. I also had the pomegranate martini and it was chef's kiss -- slightly tart with a sugar rim that balanced it out beautifully. So refreshing! Only reason it's not a full five stars is because the bread served with our baked brie had a few pieces that were moldy. Mistakes happen, and thankfully the staff corrected it right away without hesitation. They were kind and accommodating, but noticeably busy -- but they were decently fast. Overall, would absolutely come back. The ambiance and those coastal views are unmatched! Perfect spot for a sunset date night or chill catch-up with friends.

We got seated at our table at our table around 4:30p and had the most perfect view of the ocean! *we went on a Friday night and noticed the patio cleared out about 4:45-5pm and I didn't appear to have a lot of people waiting during that time. The main patio was covered with umbrellas, so once you are seated for dinner, there was plenty of umbrellas for shade and heaters for when it got a little cooler. For our food orders, and as recommended by our server, we went with their seafood options and ordered their Pacific Ceviche for an appetizer and for Entrees my husband got the Roasted Halibut and me and my mother-in-law both got the Scallop and Shrimp pasta. We all loved our dishes and were very satisfied with our choices. Their menu does have non-seafood options, but why not to try what they're most prominent for? They don't have a dessert menu, but they heard that we were celebrating mom's birthday so they brought us a little Toffee Cake to share and enjoy...and for a place that doesn't have dessert, the cake was pretty delicious. Such a cute place all around. My husband and I can't wait to go back! Parking - they have valet parking available right in front of the restaurant or theres street metered parking in the surrounding area.

I was really hoping for a great lunch, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing…read more The poke and mussels were actually very good, which makes it even more frustrating that the rest of the meal fell so short. I ordered the scallop and shrimp pasta, and on my very first bite of the scallop, it had a strong ammonia taste--a common sign that seafood has gone bad. After that, I completely lost my appetite and couldn't eat the rest of my meal. My daughter ordered the cioppino, and after checking the seafood in her dish, we noticed the scallop was also very rubbery and didn't seem fresh either. Fresh seafood is something restaurants should never compromise on. Based on this experience, I can't recommend eating here and would suggest trying another restaurant instead.

The owner served us initially, and he was really friendly and funny. We ordered a bottle of wine, and some cocktails. We put in some salads and an appetizer, they were really really good. But after that, our server (the owner we were told) left, and another server introduced himself. The new server was inattentive. He sat chatting with the other servers at the bar, leaving empty glasses and empty plates on the table. We had to flag him to come back to fill water. Having been myself in the service industry for years, my biggest pet peeve is when servers sit and chat where you can see them, and when they do come, they don't do a sweep and take care of things on the table. We had to put our empty glasses and trash on a side table. It was weird. The bolognese had hardly any meat in it. It was mostly tomato and onion. I've been to Argentina. Meat is a staple. Also weird. We ordered dessert and after waiting for 5-10 minutes, the server came back and told us they were missing crucial ingredients to make it. The owner came back at the end and was really gracious, but all in all, I think the execution was lacking. The service was not great. The food was 3.5/5 I love to support small business, perhaps we will try again another night.

We were seated at a beautiful balcony table overlooking the ocean, and the view created the perfect atmosphere for such an important milestone in our lives. The evening became even more remarkable when we had the unexpected opportunity to watch a SpaceX rocket launch from our table. Seeing it rise into the sky over the ocean while celebrating three decades of marriage was a once-in-a-lifetime moment that we will always remember. The food was excellent, and the clam chowder deserves special recognition. It was rich, flavorful, and easily the best clam chowder we can remember having. We have enjoyed plenty of chowder in New England over the years, and Driftwood Kitchen's version rivaled any of them. As wonderful as the food, view, and rocket launch were, the true highlight of our evening was Bianca W. She went far beyond what anyone would expect from a server. She was warm, attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. Bianca treated us not simply as customers, but as people celebrating a meaningful chapter in our lives. Her kindness and personal attention made us feel truly valued and turned an already memorable dinner into an extraordinary anniversary experience. Exceptional service is always appreciated, but Bianca brought something even more meaningful: sincerity, warmth, and a genuine desire to make our evening special. Thank you, Driftwood Kitchen, and especially Bianca, for giving us a celebration we will treasure for years to come. We could not recommend this restaurant or Bianca more highly.

I will start with the…read moreextremely few positives, the view is incredible and the young lady hosting was personable and helpful. She got us sat on the patio with a view promptly and with a smile. Now onto the rest of the experience! The website recommends arriving early to your reservation, which we did. Our reservation was for around 7 and we checked in at a little after 6:35. We were sat at approximately 6:50pm and proceeded to wait to be greeted for over 15 minutes (see timestamped photos below). This was frustrating as there didn't seem to be any reason why we were waiting so long. There were quite a few servers working, plenty of servers assistants helping out, and the restaurant wasn't huge (maybe 30-40 tables). As someone that works in the industry, there was no true reason for us to wait so long to be greeted and if there was, it should've been communicated. Once we were finally greeted, we immediately ordered two appetizers and told our server that we were still deciding on entrees. Our server did not return to check on us or grab entree orders until 5 minutes after our appetizers were delivered. By this point, it has been over 30 minutes since sitting down and our full order still isn't in. It almost felt like we were intentionally being neglected because we are young (gen z age) in a "fancier" restaurant and they assumed we would be difficult/not tip. Not that it matters, but my fellow diner and I make it a point to be especially kind and polite to service workers and almost always tip over 20% as we are service workers as well. The vibes were strange and continued to get worse as our experience continued. Luckily, all the food came out in a timely manner and we were so excited to dig in. I ordered the scallop meal which was delicious, but unfortunately, our other entree was fully inedible. We ordered the salmon and it came out raw!!! At first, we weren't sure if this was normal cook/preparation so we stopped eating it to wait and ask the server, but it took so long for us to be checked on again that we ended up eating the two fingerling potatoes it came with and letting the salmon sit and get cold. Thank goodness we stopped eating it because the server took the plate back to the kitchen and let us know that the chef agreed it was undercooked. Outside of the obvious issue of eating incorrectly prepared fish, their "solution" to the problem was to offer us 50% off the dish. I would understand this sentiment if we reordered a correctly cooked plate, but we sent it back and didn't ask for another. Also this place is advertised as FINE DINING! In what fine dining restaurant would you serve unsafe and improperly prepared food and not fully comp that plate?! I was shocked. I have never in my life done this before, but I asked my server if we could speak with the manager. He obliged, but with an attitude of "oh shocker these people are causing issues just like I assumed they would." Our server was never impolite, but he put no effort into serving us and seemed to expect the worst from us. This sentiment carried through to the manager as well. After briefly explaining the issue with the salmon, and choosing to omit our terrible serving experience, the manager did not even apologize. He quickly smiled and said "we will take it off," and immediately walked off. The interaction was strange and felt almost patronizing. After this, we quickly got the check and just left. My dining partner was stressed about eating the undercooked salmon and I felt incredibly uncomfortable and disappointed. Despite the subpar service and food issues, I still tipped my server over 20% to avoid being perceived as the "problem customer" that was being projected. I will warn any person that comes here that if you're not the target demographic, you will be neglected and left disappointed. MOST of the food here was actually lovely and the views were perfect, but that can't make up for the poor service and improperly prepared food. Dine with caution.

Our main server, Carson, was equally amazing. He was welcoming from the moment we sat down, incredibly attentive, and you could tell he genuinely cared about providing a great dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, he checked in on us regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever rushing us. The food was excellent. I absolutely loved the burrata salad, and my husband ordered the lobster bisque. At first, he thought the portion might be on the smaller side, but between the bisque and the bread, he ended up completely satisfied. Speaking of the bread--don't skip it! The butter, made with grass-fed cream, was absolutely incredible and made the appetizer even more memorable. Overall, Splashes exceeded our expectations. From the warm hospitality to the attentive service and delicious food, every part of the experience was exceptional. It truly deserves all of its five-star reviews. A huge thank you to Carson, Jesse, and Ava for making our evening so memorable. No notes, just a fantastic dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

It's Laguna so parking can be difficult but it's possible to find metered parking on the nearby cross streets if you don't mind walking a little. We opted to use their valet parking but it's $6 per hour. The restaurant is surrounded by cute shops and there's an area where they have live music on certain nights. There are a decent amount of tables outside with umbrellas for shade. If you come for happy hour on a weekday, it's only available in the upper area by the bar. We came on a Tuesday for happy hour (3- 6pm), so cocktails were $2 off and starters were half priced. They don't have that many cocktails to choose from, so I just got their red Seasonal Sangria ($16). It didn't come in a wine glass which was a little odd but it was fine. We shared their Shrimp Ceviche ($23) and Bruschetta ($19). The ceviche was okay but the bruschetta was excellent. They also had taco specials (I assume because it was Tuesday) so they were $4- 5 à la carte. I tried the Mahi Mahi and Shrimp tacos and surprisingly really liked them. The Mahi Mahi tasted fresh and so did the corn tortillas. I would definitely come back for Taco Tuesday and anytime I'm looking to dine with an ocean view.

As you make through the hotel, the ocean views are straight ahead and breathtaking. We were lucky enough to snag a corner table overlooking the beach, and honestly, the view alone was worth the visit. Between the crashing waves, ocean breeze, and beautiful scenery, it felt like a mini getaway. The brunch menu had plenty of options, along with a great selection of brunch cocktails. I ordered the grapefruit mimosa, which was refreshing, and my friend ordered a glass of wine. My friend ordered the poke nachos and I ordered the crab cake Benedict. What made it unique was that it skipped the traditional English muffin, allowing the crab cake to really be the star of the dish. The crab cake was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the poached eggs were spot on, and the hollandaise sauce tied everything together beautifully. This was an amazing eggs Benedict. The service was equally impressive. Our server was friendly, attentive, and didn't make us feel rushed. We were able to sit back, enjoy our food, catch up, and take in the ocean views at our own pace. Everyone we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and professional. Beautiful location, great food, excellent service, and unbeatable views. I would gladly return for another brunch and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal by the water.

We ordered some sushi and sashimi which had huge thick cuts of fresh fish and the Chilean sea bass. Everything was fresh, we just wish there was a little more to offer in choices of entrees and appetizers. Next time we would love to go to the bar area that had the vibes of a lounge as they played R&B music starting at 7:30pm. Overall the restaurant had a beautiful view and great for watching sunset with a drink in hand.
