Had breakfast on May 1st. It's a quiet clean little establishment with a friendly staff. Bonus points for the really good chill music. Food was bomb although I was disappointed with tater tots as my side with my breakfast tacos. They were good but not what the menu said was coming with the tacos. We also had the pancakes.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Pearland! Came here on a whim after church with my husband, and we were so glad we discovered this place. We keep coming back lol. There's always plenty of seating here with absolutely no wait time whenever we come here. The servers are always very nice and attentive anytime we're here. Food always comes out quick too! The food here is really good and affordable! I love their croissant sandwich... like a lot lol. The portion size of their food is just enough to get you full too. My husband also loves the Kaylani omelette. The restaurant is very chill and casual. They also play nice R&B music in the background which is a vibe for me, because I love R&B. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

My husband and I came here for breakfast while we were in town and had mixed reviews. It's in a weird location at the corner of a strip mall. We were the first customers of the morning so we had the whole place to ourselves. As someone else said, the seating is not very comfortable. (Hard wooden benches in the booths.) The music was good and they showed videos on the tv overhead. He ordered the shrimp & grits and the grits were watered down and had no taste. The shrimp were ok but not worth keeping the dish so he sent it back. I had the avocado toast with fried green tomatoes, which was very good. Two slices of toast and the avocado mixture was topped with feta cheese, which I love. The tomatoes were fried perfectly. It came with tater tots but I didn't want to get too full. Coffee was decent and our server was pleasant and helpful. They have other brunch-type items but with so many other places, not sure if we'd try again.

This place has a nice down home vibe... lots of fresh breakfast and brunch options with a truly local vibe...Great drink menu... I suggest the watermelon lemonade.....This was by far the best omelette I have ever had.... It's a local black owned business and I think their secret maybe having their grandmothers cooking it up in the kitchen... the strawberry butter was the jam no pun intended....forget waiting in line in midtown at the Breakfast Klub.... The place is better priced and much better

I'm not going to be mean to this establishment. My wife and I are in town for a family event. We weren't thrilled with the hotel breakfast accommodations so we went outside for breakfast. We chose The Rooster. We were there first customers of the day and we thought cool we can get in and out fast. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my wife ordered fried green tomatoes with avocado toast. Hers she said was delicious mine on the other hand not so much. My grits were cold and I thought my shrimp weren't as fresh as they could have been considering the Gulf of Mexico is thirty minutes down the road. The chef left little to be desired the grits were tasteless and the shrimp sauce was not much better. Our server apologized for my entree which was fine. I'll be very careful who to order this dish from. Anyway my wife loved hers and that all I can say. Hence the 2 stars.

Classic Eggs Benedict: avocado, egg, egg muffin with ham and a side of some sweet and regular potatoes.

Great place, very friendly owner, Friendly staff. Nice menu items. Food was good and tastey. Most menu items are over $10, wish they would lower the prices by at least $2 to $3 dollars. But great atmosphere. They also have a bar with mimosas and brunch drinks.

    Fried Green Tomatoes, yummy!

MY friend ordered the Brunch Sandwich which looked awesome. deep dive deets: The birria Hash, was way more potatoes than hash, it was better describe as lightly smushed baby potatoes, which was way more than the birria. -1 This Birria had a tad fat on it, not the kind of birria I'm use to. I did asked and was told that their's no fat. However, it wasn't much to complain about. (-1 uncooked onions could've been on the side) -1 I requested NO ice in my matcha, and ice on the side. I received a glass full, and when I received my replacement without ice, it was half a glass. Something about measurements. It was fantastic nonetheless. +1 I love that Christin gave me a future suggestion about the waffle; which the kid waffle is the same thing, but comes with a side for less. -1 I couldn't believe that a plain waffle w/sugar was $11, and to add fruit was nearly a $3 add on. +1 I like that my table guest was able to sub the sausage patty for extra beacon. Love that they have a DJ right at the front door setting the mood for the place. Service- was good. Our server Savannah managed our large party to best of her ability. The place was pretty full. Which I knew it would be. It's definitely a fun party atmosphere. Seating is mostly inside but they do have a smallish patio outside. Which they really should work on. Half the tables outside did not have any chairs. On a nice day, it's a place to double customers. Food- I got the Basic AF breakfast which was pretty tasty and you get to sample a good amount. Comes with 4 small pancakes, eggs your way, 1 meat choice, and potatoes. The potatoes surprised me, as they look so unassuming but are very tasty. If in the area would not mind returning.

They started playing music in there which was a nice touch. You can have a conversation and not have to yell at one another to be heard. When I asked for my food to be taken back, our server was really nice about it and helpful. The Supreme Omelette w/ egg white: 9/10.. this one was much better and had some seasoning to it. I still put the hot sauce on it though. Cajun shrimp & Crawfish Omelette: 1/10.. I had to send it back. The omelette itself was flavorless and relied on the very little sauce they gave you. I was reminded of why I don't order seafood type omelettes. The only thing that was Cajun about it was the color of the sauce. Spiked peppermint mocha cold brew : 8/10.. it has the perfect hint of sweetness but a little too pepperminty for my taste. It honestly tastes like chocolate milk.

I called the restaurant to politely ask what might be causing the issue, as I wanted to better understand why it keeps happening. Javi, who answered the phone, was friendly and understanding. Another employee from the bar area also spoke with me and was very kind. She explained that she had not bagged the order. When the manager got on the phone, I explained that I had already discussed the situation with two employees. His response was, "This is the first time I'm hearing about this. You're too far away, so I don't have anyone to drive the gravy to you. I can't give you the gravy. What would you like me to do?" The tone came across as annoyed and dismissive. I let him know that I was already planning to dispute the missing item through Uber Eats, but that I was calling because I wanted to understand why this issue keeps occurring. There was no offer for me to pick up the missing gravy or any meaningful attempt to resolve the situation beyond saying he would speak with the staff. What surprised me most was the contrast between the helpfulness of the employees and the manager's attitude. The staff members were courteous and understanding, while the manager seemed to assume I was exaggerating or making up the issue. Unfortunately, because of both the repeated order mistakes and the poor customer service from management, I won't be ordering from here again.

When the owner of the restaurant heard what happened to us, she was very apologetic. She asked us to come back on her. She paid for everything except acholic drinks. We were treated well, a little awkward, but it turned out nice. I was glad that responsibility was owned up to for what happened to us. It made us feel better. The food was better, hot.
