    Hawaiian Burger

Stopped in for a quick lunch at The Rusty Melon in Erie, CO & just had to share that the Hawaiian Burger absolutely hit the spot! The vibes of this place were local diner meets dive bar, super fun & very yummy (plus their burger branding is just too cute)! Our server was wonderful, very kind & helpful, would definitely visit again!

This is one of my favorite spots in Denver/Erie, CO. I come here every time I'm in town. The staff is always kind and helpful and the atmosphere calm and friendly. The cheesesteak is one of my all time favorites [add banana peppers] and the burger is always juicy and crispy at the same time. I love Rusty Melon and wish there was one in Atlanta.

Loved the grilled chicken burger. It was fresh, hot and delicious! The atmosphere is spot on for fun sports bar! The waitstaff were attentive and made sure we had what we needed. It was our second time here and everything was just as good at this fun lil bar and grill in Erie!

Smothered Smoked Pork Chimichanga. Very good. I will get ground beef next time. Sitting outside was pretty cool. Good service.

Food was decently the service was awful. I felt uncomfortable asking where my sons food was. Won't be back.

I've had the reaper burger twice for takeout dinner. Very delicious! Love the little grilled logo on the bun.

Good local spot in Erie. Food is mostly bar fare. Nothing exceptional but reliably decent.

The…read morechicken was perfectly crispy and the waffle was soft and fluffy with candied pecans and warm sweet apples on top. The blue corn grits were also excellent with a really nice texture. We also ordered the farmer's Benedict, which was very flavorful. The only thing I'd change is that it comes with sweet potatoes on the side and a sweet potato hash brown under the eggs, so it ends up being a lot of sweet potato. It might be nice to have regular potatoes as an option to balance it out. The beignets were incredibly soft and paired perfectly with the lemon curd. Would definitely come back and would love to try the dinner menu next time!!

Disappointing Experience at 24 Carat in Erie!!!…read more My daughter and I stopped into 24 Carat in Erie toward the end of the night, hoping to enjoy a nice dinner and a few shareable dishes. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of what we expected. We started with the kale Parmesan dip, which we were told was a hot skillet and that we should be careful. Unfortunately, it arrived lukewarm. We also ordered several shareable items, including the seared shrimp and prosciutto and Palisade peach dishes. The shrimp was lukewarm unseasoned and burnt, and the pasta accompanying it was cold and lacked much flavor. We also ordered the Pozole duck after discussing the soup of the day with our server. That dish never came. When we asked about it, our server said she didn't hear us order it. Mistakes happen, and we understand that, but combined with the other issues, it added to an already disappointing experience. The biggest issue was the overall feeling throughout the meal. It was very apparent that the staff was ready for the night to be over. I really wanted to like 24 Carat, especially being a local restaurant in Erie, but unfortunately the food temperature, missed order, and overall service made this a disappointing visit. Hopefully this was just an off night, because there is clearly potential for this to be a great local spot. $100 disappointment!!!!

I tiki ramen taco bar... and it somehow works!…read more I've been here many times. I like the tacos, my wife likes the ramen, and we both like the drinks. I like that the menu is constantly changing, so I can always try something new. There are usually a few staples, too. The tacos are priced reasonably so you can try several flavors. Every now and then there's one I don't like as much as the others, but that doesn't ruin the experience. The ramen is priced well for the amount you get, too. The only thing I consistently haven't liked is their guacamole. But I do like their avocado and salsas. They have a decent happy hour and, recently added, a "taco Tuesday." The kids menu options are pretty good, too. The hot dogs are a hit. Sometimes the buttered noodles are, too. The tiki drinks are great fun, and they're always trying something new. In the past, they've put lemonades in fun cups (like the hedgehog cup) so our kids can enjoy a "fancy drink." The service is pretty fast and consistent. They bring you a nice jug of water to help yourself with refills.

So it was shocking that I found such a good bowl out here in Erie. I got the Hellfire Ramen, a tonkotsu-based ramen served with their house spicy sauce, chili oil, pork shoulder, and a soft boiled egg. The broth was rich and flavorful, the spice level was perfect (quiet hot but still maintaining a good balance of flavors), and the pork shoulder was tender but still has a bit of nice toothsomeness. Overall, this was an excellent bowl of ramen comparable to any of the top spots in Denver. The only slight downside is that the broth was just a tough too salty for my liking, and I would've preferred a soy marinated egg over a soft boiled egg. They have other ramen here was well, such as a chicken-based shio ramen, a regular tonkotsu, and a Thai curry ramen. I definitely would return to try the other ramen. If the other items on this menu is as tasty, I wouldn't hesitate to give them 5 stars.

Our waitress was amazing - friendly, made great recommendations, and talked us through the menu, answer all of our questions thoroughly. We ordered the streak tartare app, clearly a staff favorite and they put a unique twist on the standard dish with mushrooms and a divine Dijon mustard sauce. The bread was baked to perfection - crunchy but soft all at the same time. My friend got the salmon, cooked to medium and I got the Jamaican jerk chicken which was not very spicy and contained a lot of flavor. The mango chutney and green mojo combo was complex and paired well with the chicken. My friend devoured she salmon so one can only assume it was delicious!
