The "Cheeky Devil" drink, caviar tater tots, lemon prawns, sea bass, and chicken fried lobster all sound fantastic. And that dessert selection-- butter cake and brownie--must have been the perfect sweet ending. The fact that I had lingered over champagne shows how much I enjoyed the atmosphere too. The Ruxton is a must for anyone in the Baltimore area looking for a fine dining experience. It is such a great addition to the Harbor East community and by far my favorite Atlas restaurant. The restaurant's interior is stunning and elegant- a perfect place for a special dinner, date, or celebration! Our server Taylor was so kind and took her time to go over the menu with us as this was our first time. My partner and I were celebrating our anniversary and they gave us two glasses of Prosecco on the house to start with! It was such a sweet gesture! We ordered half a dozen of the oysters to start and shared the porterhouse steak with a side of the brussel sprouts as our main. The porterhouse steak comes sliced and we ordered it medium. It came out more medium well but still delicious nonetheless. GET THE TRUFFLE BUTTER!! you won't regret it!! This was definitely enough food for two. We complemented the steak with glass of Pinot Noir and the 9oz pour is definitely generous. We ended the night with the warm butter cake which had strawberry crumble on top and it was so mouthwatering. I honestly didn't think I had enough room for it, but I finished it! It was the worst experience I can recall at a restaurant possibly ever. There was absolutely no upholding of the House Rules for the dress code that is stated on their website clearly. I was mortified how people dressed throughout the restaurant. Additionally, I had provided specific information that it was my husband's birthday that they completely disregarded and instead brought an anniversary cake to the couple beside us. It's also impossible to easily park and had a long, long backup to get close to the restaurant if we had even wanted valet, causing much unnecessary delay. What a disaster. read more

I recent visited Ruxton for a birthday dinner 4/15, although we couldn't get the private dining room due to it being already booked. Our party was still accommodated. The overall experience that evening was amazing! The customer service was amazing! We had several dishes from the beet salad, potato gnocchi, crab cake dinner, chicken Wellington, cream of crab soup, Mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts was amazing & more! Everyone loved their dish. We also loved the spirit drinks, cocktails and wine. The restaurant gives a like 50ish vibe, deem lighting, calm atmosphere. Not too noisy. Taylor and Nicki were our servers and they were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. We ordered the Butternut Lobster Bisque and Shrimp cocktail to start - both fantastic. For our mains, we had the Branzino, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Asparagus, and Truffle Hassleback Potato. Everything was delicious. Very classy ambiance, service goes above and beyond, the food is yummy but $$$$. I shared with my friend the wagyu sliders, the tuna tartare and the prawns. The tartare was good but nothing special (not worth $26 imo), and the prawns' sauce was too acidic and salty all around. On the other hand, the sliders were one of the best I've ever had. We visited the Ruxton on 3/16 and were overwhelmed by the attentive and friendly staff, a nod to bartenders Jen and Dan. We enjoyed a few well crafted and creative cocktails before moving on to dinner. We began with the Bluefin Tuna tartare, sublime. We got a bottle of cabernet from the extensive wine list and moved on to the steak. We had a delmonico and wagyu petite Filet respectively. I honestly believe the wagyu melted in the mouth and the delmlnico had a perfect sear and pink center. For the sides, we chose a truffle baked potato and roasted mushrooms both were excellent and easily enough to share. For dessert, we had the butter cake which topped off the meal beautifully. The space is very warm and modern and has a very informal vibe, considering how up scale the dining experience. When we arrived we were greeted by Josh Lewis, who seemed intent on ensuring every element of the experience was perfect and met a very high bar, this restaurant has clearly established. The salad was meh (no flavor in the dressing which tasted homemade), though the anchovies were amazing. The lamb had good flavor, but the temp was very uneven ranging from med rare to well. We had an amazing time. This was my wife and I's first time going and we enjoyed every moment. The food was amazing as you can see. Not pictured was our appetizers, which was roasted Oysters were were amazing. Our server was Demetrius and he was very attentive and absolutely was able to give us a great first time experience. He explained our menu choices to us to ensure we knew what we were getting. He checked on us through out and also other members of the staff dropped in to ask us if we needed anything or to ensure that we had the requested food or items. Where we were seated was more away from the crowd and more intimate. There is a larger seating area where it can be loud. I'm not sure if they read me and my wife's vibe but I definitely they gave us seating that was more appropriate for us and we appreciated. But I can see how it could be a problem for other people which is why I marked it down a little bit. But overall this was a A plus experience. Highly recommend. read more

My husband and I came here for our 11 year anniversary, was hoping this would be a great experience. Well let's just say the sides were good, I suggest they find a better quality of an aged Ribeye because what I had is not it. We are frequent diners of Mastros DC but wanted to give this a try since it's closer to home. I did explain this to the new manager that stopped pass our table and he said he would take care of the steak as it was tuff and lacking flavor and less than what we're use to, but of course he didn't take it off the bill but my husband still went on to pay with out a problem and still left a great tip although he was disappointed that i didn't enjoy my steak. My husband did liked his pork chop and the service was great so that was enough to come back and try something else, However I'm firm on when you tell someone you're going to do something, you should keep your word and do it! So with that being said.. we won't be returning. Atlas has disappointed again.. hopefully The Oregon Grille will be alot better..if not we will continue to take that ride to Mastros DC! read more

I had an amazing dinner at the Ruxton. I was visiting Baltimore from Virginia for the Usher concert and decided on dinner at the Ruxton. It did not disappoint. Every aspect of my visit was amazing. Checked in and was seating right away. Even on a busy weekend. There was also an baseball game that evening BTW. Got an amazinnnnnng server named Demetrius. I'm probably butchering his name, but he was amazing. This young man had just the right amount of attentiveness and was very well groomed. He was an overall amazing representation of the restaurant. All of the food was good and it was literally only $100 before tip. I had an appetizer, drink, main and side. For a high end steakhouse that was an amazing price. I walked out with a full belly, excellent service and happy debit card. I can't recommend this place enough. Also,, the crab cakes are amazing. Yes, this is a steakhouse, but a steakhouse in Baltimore none the less and the crab cakes did not disappoint. read more
