An Unforgettable Night Out - Ask for Gabrielle! I've been to The Sapphire twice since it opened, and both visits were fantastic. I was lucky enough to have Gabrielle as my server both times, and her service was truly exceptional. What impressed me most was that she remembered me when I returned, including my preferred drink. Those personal touches make all the difference. Our group was constantly moving throughout the night, chatting with friends from our neighborhood who stopped by the table, getting up to dance, and enjoying everything the venue has to offer. Somehow, Gabrielle always seemed to know exactly when we needed something. I never once felt like I had to look for her. She was attentive, friendly, and made the entire evening effortless. Yes, The Sapphire is a splurge, but you're getting so much more than dinner. It's handcrafted cocktails, an excellent meal, delicious desserts, live music, dancers, and a fun late night DJ all wrapped into one sophisticated, high energy experience. There really isn't anything else like it in Tampa. The Sapphire is exactly what Tampa has been missing. And if every restaurant trained their staff to provide the level of service Gabrielle does, dining out everywhere would be a much better experience. She turned a fun night into one we'll remember, and that's the kind of hospitality that keeps people coming back.

Food was a 3. Experience made it a 4. I'd never heard of the Sapphire but seeing it next to Eddie V's and the scale of it, I expected 5 star food. Unfortunately, everything was underwhelming, even "not great" (Brussels and udon were both super sweet). Steak was good in surf n turf but lobster was overcooked in my opinion while my friend said it was perfect. Most notable dish for me was the seared scallop appetizer. Perfectly cooked. Great taste and not an overwhelming sauce it came with. Duck dumplings were just mushy to me as well, but my friend ordered 3 plates so possibly just my preference. I enjoyed all my drinks but at those prices I would've been happy drinking $8 Moscow mules (I ended up getting from the main bar after dinner). Our server was Lex and she was great. 1) for keeping the vibes up every time she came to the table. She knows how to match energy and our table was celebrating birthdays so it was rowdy and ridiculous and she was a champ about it. 10/10. 2) she was good when it came to patron requests (my friend didn't like a drink so she sent it back and got another and when we got plain fries instead of the Parmesan truffle she went back to fix it asap). Performances were great and all staff were friendly and kind, keeping the energy high the whole night. Thanks to the dj for accepting our request and playing Fuego so we could dance. We were charged for two orders of fries when it should've been one because the first delivery of plain fries was an error. I advised Lex when she came back and she said we can just keep these and she'll put in the other fries. In the end, we were charged for two orders of truffle fries which we definitely didn't order nor did we get. You're paying for the experience for sure which I enjoyed the night. I probably just wouldn't eat here again, just drinks.

Miami vibes + fine dining + ultra lounge + specialty cocktails + live music + DJ + exquisite staff = an entertaining night. Holy smokes there's a heck of a lot going on at the Sapphire Tampa. I had no idea this place even existed, and for good reason. The reason being the first opening day to the public was Friday, May 15th. The Sapphire is right next to Eddie V's. I ironically found this place on Yelp and decided I had to check it out. I was shopping at International Mall and saw that this place opens at 6pm, and it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Luckily it was Sunday so I decided to head over. The parking situation sucks. You have to valet as there is no where to park anywhere. Once inside, I was greeted by a Club promoted / mamaître d'. He was trying to tell me about reserving a table and bottle service. I was like, great to know, but I'm here for the food at 6pm on a Sunday. He was telling me how the restaurant transforms into a nightclub after 10pm. I asked if they moved out the tables and he said no. Anyways, I'm the first customer in the restaurant right at 6pm. I was shocked. Absolutely shocked at how many people work here. There might have been 5 hostesses, 20 bartenders, 20 servers, a band, a DJ, and a whole slew of people working. I was like omg, are you guys expecting a packed house like right at 7pm or something? And they were like no, we just opened to trying to figure everything out. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by Paco and Shay. I must stay: **STAFF FRIENDLIESS IS A+** Throughout the night there must have been 10 people that came over to ask me if I needed anything, how I like my cocktail, how do I like my food, what do I make of the atmosphere. They all tried to ask me my name then come up to me again and greet me by my name. It was like staying at the Park Hyatt or Ritz-Carlton where everyone greets you by your name. I've never seen something like this at a restaurant. I was truly blown away. My first cocktail of the night was a $23 Closing Statement. I have to say, I really really like the taste of mezcal and yet in this drink it was hard to taste that burnt mezcal taste so for me the drink was pretty blah. However, also if you know me, I rarely ever order the same cocktail twice. Up second, I went off the menu and had a $24 Dirty Martini [Bombay Sapphire according to my receipt]. This was spot on perfect and the exact way a dirty martini should be. Lastly, I tried a $24 classic espresso martini. The bartender insisted I get the banana vodka version and she absolutely nailed it. Now I feel dumb, I should always be asking for a banana vodka version. So good! For food, I started with the $19 Caesar Salad. I've never seen a Caesar salad like this. I rate this on par with Jay Luigi and Elliott Aster for best Caesar Salads in Tampa Bay. Best food item of the night. Up next, I tried their $18 crispy brussels sprouts. I loved the sauce, love the flavor, love the bacon. Everything was so perfect, except I wish they were more charred. These were really really good, and I'm a hard brussels sprouts critic. This is the main food item I'll order on any menu just to try. Up next, I had the $18 roasted baby bella mushrooms. This was the worst item of the night. Way too plain, way too tasted like just out of a bag. I would not order these again. The last food item I tried was the $25 wagyu beef hot dog. I really like a good hot dog every now and then. It had a bunch of flavor and I do recommend the hot dog. I was here from about 6pm-8:30pm and during that time a live band played with a singer. A DJ played music over the loudspeaker. A female dancer went on staged and danced around to songs. And the entire time the staff was attentive to my every need. This place feels like living in Miami again. I really prefer to go to places for the food. I wonder if Sapphire will take off as a club considering it's in an odd location for a club. There is NO HAPPY HOUR. Super strict DRESS CODE: Men Acceptable Attire Includes: Dinner jackets, suits, or tailored blazers (requested, not required) Collared dress shirts or elevated knitwear Dress slacks, tailored trousers or refined denim Dress shoes, upscale loafers or upscale sneakers NO SHORTS OR HATS FOR MEN Women Acceptable Attire Includes: Refined, upscale dresses or elevated evening wear Chic, fashion-forward tops paired with tailored pants or skirts Stylish heels, dress sandals, or elegant flats I had a really good time here. The restaurant is certainly on the more expensive side. I'll come back to try more items next time.

Omg! What an amazing experience! We went for a 6 person bday and were blown away by the service, the food and the entertainment! We had the porterhouse which was outstanding. We also had some carpaccio, the wagyu hot dog and some sides. Everything was delightful. Will, the bartender, was exceptional & gave us a tour of the venue. The drinks he concocted were also tasty. The entertainment never stops! There was an amazing musical act with so much soul! The dancers were super talented & a pleasure to watch. Overall, the vibes are it. Definitely coming back for more! Thank you management for going above and beyond for our birthday!

Amazing experience on Wednesday night for dinner, seated right away, right next to the stage. Great live music with songs that take you back to the 90s-2000s! Service was also top notch, loved the bar cart service for drinks! Also impressive vegetarian options which you rarely see. Love the complimentary valet and also desserts ! Bathroom is so pretty and clean. They are an upscale supper club, only one in our area. Would highly recommend! Just wish they had a ladies night on Wednesdays, the place would be packed!

Grown and sexy vibes for sure! The atmosphere screams luxe! The staff and bartenders are always going above and beyond for their patrons. Shay was a very sweet and attentive bartender and kept the vibes going! I enjoyed the choice of music, as well as the opening acts for the night! The food and drinks are pricey but definitely worth the money! The price won't matter since you're being served well and having the time of your life. I can't wait for my next reservation!

The Sapphire is definitely trying to bring a Miami/Vegas-style supper club experience to Tampa, and you can feel that the moment you walk in. The lighting, smoke, live band, and entertainment all give it a more elevated, late-night energy than the typical Tampa dinner spot. The food was excellent. Everything we had felt thoughtfully prepared and high quality. That said, it is definitely on the pricey side, so I'd go in expecting more of a special night out than a casual dinner. I'm curious to see how it does here long-term. Tampa tends to be a more casual crowd, and this concept feels much flashier and more expensive than what a lot of people may be used to. But for anyone looking for something different, especially a late-night spot since they're open until 2 a.m., The Sapphire does bring something unique to the area. Overall, great food, good atmosphere, and a bold concept. Just be prepared for the prices.

Attended opening night and had an outstanding experience. Amazing combination of classic supper club vibes and hip bar/night club. The food was some of the best food be had and decor is just stunning. Whether you're visiting or a local, you need to stop in ..... if you can get into this exclusive club.

My friend and I had heard about the Sapphire and immediately tried to get a reservation not realizing it hadn't even opened yet! We got a 6:30 reservation for Sunday. Neither of us knew what to expect so we both got there early and were greeted with complimentary valet. We were introduced to the venue and the menu upon walking in where we got some recommendations and were sat quickly despite being early. I definitely recommend getting there before 7 so you are sat and have a drink when the live entertainment starts. The band was wonderful and the dancers in between sets were stunning. Kyle, our server, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable throughout our entire process. He introduced Sapphire by explaining that is an experience that encourages taking your time. I loved that! We ordered drinks, Lush by Nature and Roxanne to start. Both were balanced, refreshing, and well made. We then ordered the Salmon & Hamachi Crudo as our cold small plate. I loved ordering only one thing at a time. It ensured we took our time and had the chance to enjoy each part of our meal. The Crudo was nicely done, fresh, and my foodie friend explained as the best she had in a while! The sauce was delicious and I wanted more. For our warm small plate we went with the duck dumplings that were recommended by two separate staff members and they did not disappoint. They were nicely stuffed and filled with flavor and again, the sauce was amazing. We were also recommended the Mac & cheese so we had to try it. It was shell macaroni and had a good blend of cheeses. It was good, but I think I'll try a different side next time! It was huge though! Definitely big enough for at least 4 to share. We split the Halibut with clams & chorizo entree. We start digging in hence no photo of that one! The halibut was good and the chorizo and sauce were a good blend. Our only downside was that the clams had a bit of a sandy crunch which was a bit off-putting. We ended with a glass of champagne and the Passion Paradise dessert and although we were full, we're so glad we did because it was amazing. Just all around a wonderful experience and evening. We spent some money but had a wonderful time. And again I say, Kyle was amazing!

Octopus

I truly wanted to love this place, but I think it has some kinks that it needs to work out just like any new establishment. I have dined at some of the most wonderful restaurants whether it's a hole in the wall or a Michelin star in my lifetime. I went with four other women on a Thursday evening and we are all in our 30s. I've lived in Tampa for two years and they knew what this city is lacking. They put an incredible amount of attention to detail into the ambience down to the outfits for the staff. They picked entertainment that was engaging and unique, and we loved every minute of it. The drinks are pricey, which is expected for an establishment at this caliber, but they were excellent. I would love to comment on more things that I enjoyed, but sadly there were multiple things that fell flat for me. 1) We were seated at a table for five in the far left corner and that entire side of the restaurant with booths the lights were completely turned off, so we could barely see our food while we were eating it. I Completely understand when you have live entertainment, and the focus is supposed to be on the entertainment however, the lights above each area of seating should at least be a little dimmed Just like the booths to the far back. 2) the Food- I'm a huge foodie, and sadly the flavor of the food fell flat. Presentation 10 out of 10. We ordered the octopus, the Hamachi Crudo, brussels sprouts, as appetizers. For the main courses, we ordered filet mignon, Wagyu burger, the halibut, miso king salmon, sides of the burger sliders and the baked potato. The octopus looked beautiful presentation wise, but was incredibly bland- And I have had amazing octopus in Tampa ( gin joint). The filet mignon that was cooked to medium, but had no flavor and somehow tasted dry. The miso King salmon was OK but again lacking flavor. The Hamachi Crudo was good but not amazing. By far, the best thing that we ordered was the Wagyu burger- It was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, we were not blown out of the water by the food outside of the presentation. 3) The service - for an establishment that requires a food and beverage minimum and a dress code my expectations are pretty high. There was a large amount of staff compared to the actual crowd of people dining, and yet it still took an unnaturally long time for us to not only get our bill but corrected and then pay for it. Our waitress never came back after our first round of drinks to see if we wanted another. And furthermore she did blanketly know the menu, but not at the level that I would expect for the type of service you want to be providing and that we are paying for. When torn between two options, her response was "well they're both good." It just didn't meet my expectations. In addition, although this was worked out and fixed, I want to point out the fact that if I had not checked our bill, they would have deducted the wrong deposit amount. When we reserved our table on OpenTable, we put down a $250 deposit that was not a hold but an actual charge and yet when our bill arrived, which was over $500, the only amount that was deducted was $100. If I didn't check the bill as most people don't when it comes, we would've overpaid. To the waitress's credit she had it corrected immediately, but an error like that should not happen. 4)the dress code. I absolutely love a dress code. They stated on their website and they even sent out a text prior to our reservation to reinforce it but sadly when looking around at the people dining, it clearly was not enforced. As an example, our reservation was at 7:30 at night but women were wearing sundresses, jeans, casual heeled sandals etc. Outfits that were not appropriate to the standards that they are really trying to enforce. And if you're going to expect a dress code from your clientele, then you should absolutely enforce it for your entertainment. I would like to preface thatI am all for body positivity but there is a time and place. The singer had a beautiful voice, but her dress was short and tight on a heavier set body type that in my opinion does not meet the standards that you're trying to set for your establishment. 5) Finally, the layout. We were seated at the table to the far back left of the bar, which the bar is the center point and if I were to go back, I would absolutely go to the bar and sit there and have a drink. However, there were people standing on the front side of the bar so we couldn't see the entertainment acts that well. My suggestion would be to make sure that people don't stand at that edge of the bar That is immediately in front of the stage so that the patrons who actually have a table can still enjoy your entertainment acts. With all of this being said, I do have high hopes that with time this place will work out its kinks. Hopefully they will take some suggestions as to how they can improve because I do think that it is a diamond in the rough that Tampa has needed for a long time.

Gouda Mac and cheese

Menu is very varied so you'll find something you like including vegetarian. The service was excellent with constant attention to our needs. They have live music with pop music. We ordered the Halibut with clams and choriza with the the Gouda Mac and cheese. The drinks were good and actually had the bartender come to our table to offer drinks which were excellent. I will definitely return to try other things on the menu.

Dry Aged NY Strip
Jarrod R.

This place is incredible. The inside is beautifully designed and elegant and they even have a stage with live entertainment. But the best part is the food service. My server was top notch and made sure I was taken care of the entire time. I had the Spanish octopus and New York strip and they were both incredible. This is probably the best steak I've had in Tampa. Will definitely be back!

Filet Mignon Sliders
Shawna R.

Sapphire has quickly become my new favorite destination. The wine selection is excellent, and the cocktails are both creative and delicious. The menu is truly innovative, but the standout for me was the filet mignon sliders perfectly tender, topped with caramelized onions, served on a soft, flavorful pretzel bun, and finished with a rich truffle aioli. Hospitality is another level at The Sapphire. This is an experience you don't want to miss.

The Lamb Chops are a MUST try! Extremely tender and juicy!

I had seen this spot quite a few times when taking the escalator down from the 2nd floor to the 1st and vice versa while inside Nordstrom, but I figured it was just another horrible mall restaurant. I went to J. Alexander's the day before and the bartender there told me that Bazille has the best French dip in Tampa. Now, I still think Cooper's Hawk Winery has the best French dip, but this one was no slouch. Up first, the bartender told me their best drink is a $12 Happy Hour High Fashion (Old Fashioned) I gave it a shot and it was solid. It is served with 1 giant ice cube which is the way I like it. For an appetizer I had the Happy Hour $10.50 Heirloom Tomatoes & Burrata. I thought this was excellent like top notch that you would get at an expensive steakhouse. Then, I had the $11.50 French Onion Bowl. Not quite as good as Boulon or Council & Oak, but I liked it a lot. After that, I tried the $12 Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts. Yum, yum, yum! 2nd drink I tried was a $16 Smoke & Heat! OMG, delicious! I would come here to get this drink and the burrata. Seriously, one of my favorite mezcal drinks. And for the entree I had the $20 French dip. Now their French dip has a ton more toppings and is good, but I still like Cooper's Hawk best. I can't believe how unbelievably good this restaurant was. I will certainly be back here next time I'm at International Mall.

The sea bream hand rolls were good and the chirashi was very good. The karaage was good but the chive aioli was incredible. Overall cool concept but would love a bigger entree options on their menu. This would open up more patrons to visit who don't want to drop $500 for sushi

It has a cozy, slightly witchy, zen vibe. The cocktails are creative, the spirits list is thoughtfully curated, and Connor provided excellent service. The drug eggs were SO FLAVORFUL! Will be ordering those every visit! Same for the fries... the banana pepper ketchup was addictive. Bonus: Wednesdays are BOGO wing night and game night.

That is what I was looking for, and that is what I got. Up first, I tried a $15 Grapefruit Moon. The bartender warned me if I don't like grapefruit, I won't like this drink. Holy smokes he wasn't joking. I was hoping the mezcal would cancel out some of the grapefruit, but it really didn't. Super duper strong grapefruit taste. Then, I tried a $15 Martini. It's a pretty standard dirty martini. I liked it, and it was fine. Good to see there is a place in Ybor with real cocktails, and not cheap awful cocktails served in a plastic cup. I didn't try any food or any other items. I'd just be a little worried that on a Saturday night during primetime there were like 10 people in here. Although, that's also why I walked in here because it was quiet and not crowded.
