Im soooooo beyond disappointed with the service my friends and I recieved last night. I have been a patron of this restaurant/ bar for practically almost my entire adult life. Im now in my late 30's. I have always(well most always) i would say atleast 8 out of 10... Been extremely pleased with my experience. Last night our group of 6 on the bar side did not 1 time, I mean 1 TIME, was asked if we needed anything. We were not served on 1 time. We had To go to the bar to get our cocktails, to go get pitchers of water and cups. It was my friend's 40th birthday, and we wanted to all eat there. But no one came. Not 1 person came over and asked us if we wanted anything to eat or gave us a menu. Mind you, the other side of the bar was recievenng service. I noticed multiple tables being served. People came in after us, and were eating by the time we left. Extremely disappointed, short staffed maybe due to covid?? I would believe that if the rest of the bar wasnt being helped. We surprised them with 19 people this morning (Our Family) they were Great! The food was incredible, the kids Snowman pancakes were a hit but my Satillite Stacks were great as well. Classic all night diner that is perfect for after bar hoping. The portions are large and usually my wife and I can share and entree and an appetizer and still have left overs. We love the hash browns and omelets and last time we ate the sautéed mushrooms for an appetizer which was our favorite part of the meal as they were perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. read more

It was our first time in Spokane and arrived at our hotel around 10pm. All restaurants were closed near our hotel so we drove around and found this place to be open. We just wanted something to eat. The waitress took our order and we paid in advance. After 30 mins of waiting the waitress informed us that it will take longer as they have a big order before us. It was 11:30 pm. We looked around the restaurant and there were only 4 other people besides the two of us. We agreed to wait. After another 20 mins of waiting we just cancelled our order. They should have informed us of the wait before they took our order to save us the trouble. I order the food i want and I have been waiting for one hour and no food delivered to my table, i went to the waitress and she told me a lot of reason why my food did not deliver yet until i saw the table with white people serve the food first and i order first before them. There's nothing like diner food, and Satellite is spot on! There is something truly comforting about a greasy breakfast after a few drinks on a cold night! We were there on a Saturday night, but it wasn't overly crowded. The service was friendly and cheerful. We had plenty of prompt refills and a smile. My husband didn't have any vegan options other than a house salad, but that is expected for a diner. There were plenty of vegetarian options though! Maybe you have to actually eat in the restaurant to get good food because I don't understand how I got all burnt food and this place has 4 stars. I'm at children's hospital with my son. We got checked in last night after spending the day in the emergency room. Needless to say I haven't eaten food for 36 hours. Called and ordered a stack with hashbrowns toast and eggs. Had a friend pick it up. This is what I got. So very frustrating. I tried to pull the burnt hashbrowns put but they were so hard it was pointless my toast was burnt. They put a burnt pancake under the top one so maybe I wouldn't see it? Maybe I'm emotional because I'm hungry and my sons in the hospital but this is just unacceptable. Second they fry the hash-browns crispy, not burnt, but exactly crispy. Hollandaise on diner food?? Yes you can!! And it's a really good one. Thick, creamy, and absolutely unbroken. There is a little diner style side on the left and a more high-table bar area on the right. Satellite Diner is warm and cozy. If you sit at a table somewhat near one of the doors, I warn you that the cold air rushes in and it's pretty chilly in the Winter. We ventured here for breakfast, but I'm sure this place is bumping in the evening. It's true that it would be easy to walk right by this place, but it is definitely worth the stop. There is metered street parking around the place and some paid lots not too far. The service was good. We were seated promptly and quickly were served warm beverages. It took awhile to decide what to order. There are many breakfast and lunch options on the menu. I finally settled on the Satellite Stack. I was in a pancake mood. It comes with two strips of bacon and two eggs, but I asked for only one since I knew I wouldn't be able to eat two eggs (of course I wasn't foolish enough to only ask for one piece of bacon). The pancakes were fluffy and light. The consistency was good and it was so decadent that I didn't even need to use syrup. My companion got the Chicken Fajita Scramble. This really seemed like much more than a meal. The Fajita Scramble had peppers and onions with eggs and chicken (he ordered it with no cheese). So I chose the single booth table with more sunlight to it, again, trying to be skeptical here :P There was basically no one there and still, it took the kitchen more than 20min to have my food ready.
