This is my first time here, and it was a pleasant experience. I was intimidated by the reviews of complaints, but they all seem minor issues that were nitpicked. Maybe some of the reviews came from weird customers (coming from someone working in the restaurant industry, these reviews seem to come from customers who just like to complain idk) The restaurant looked so pretty on the inside, though it was a little dark here and there. Maybe a little more small light lamps here and there so everyone sitting can feel relaxed. Then, I was sitting at a spot where I get direct glaring sunlight, so maybe a poster on the door to block the light while advertising items on the menu :)) I ordered the California Benedict. Ima give it an 8/10. I like that it had all the items I liked together, but I think I was hoping for flavor to stand out. Either way, I'd eat it again, but I want to try other items on the menu. It is an item that gets messy on the plate cuz it's comes with a runny egg yolk when you into it. So, if this isn't for u, don't order. Try other items I got the potatoes on the side 10/10, pretty well done and good. I usually add hot sauce for my own taste palate, which they provided on the side. The biscuits and gravy was not bad either. I do think that while people are eating everything else before they could get to the biscuits and gravy, it would be ideal served a little before as an appetizer. Either way, it does get soggy fast but I got a big biscuit, not complaining. The restaurant could save money by cutting that in half because I was honestly hella full before I could take a couple bites from this. The server who took of me today, just now was awesome. I'd come back for her service, she kept it real with me because I made a mistake on my order and she mentioned it and helped me immediately pick what I could order instead. First timer and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. My wife and I enjoyed the Hungry Man Breakfast and the Corned Beef Benedict. We started with the Scratch Made Loaf which is very nice warm slice of banana bread with butter melting in the warmth. The Hungry Man was very traditional and very generous on the portions, living up to the name. The Corned beef Benedict was very good. Although the overcooked the egg yolk a touch too long. Therefore was not running upon breaking the yolk. But still delicious. Definitely popular and expect to wait and parking is a bit challenging too, but very well satisfied. The overall room was kinda rustic and I wish the it was a bit brighter in the restaurant, to give a more happier feel. But yet, we will still be back again. My friend and I stopped in by chance on the way to the beach, not wanting to wait 2 hours at a more novelty place we had been planning to go to nearby. We were SO GLAD that we had found this place instead -- we genuinely brought it up multiple times during the beach day and on the drive back, and he already wants to go back despite this being over an hour away from home!! We were able to be seated immediately, and our server was incredibly kind. She checked in with us often to make sure we were happy with our meal, and we found out that we had both ordered her favorite item on the menu as well: the chorizo bacon burger. The restaurant was dark, uninviting, and absolutely filthy. Both the bathroom and kitchen were visibly dirty, which made me question the hygiene standards. The atmosphere was so off-putting that I couldn't bring myself to stay. I ended up leaving without even eating. This place needs a serious overhaul in cleanliness and ambiance. I was able to enjoy it by adding some pepper and salt and hot sauce to it.
